We had a wonderful stay!

The location is stellar and service is excellent. Walking distance to all the good spots and service that is rare these days by each staff member. Also the supplemental dining, flower shop, afternoon tea and cafe are an amazing bonus. All staff we came across went above and beyond even allowing us to keep thr vehicle in valet well after checking out to go grab brunch.

Disappointing Room, Last Time Going

Room was a corner unit and very cramped. Did not feel luxurious at all. It was our second time there, but it will be our last.

I had a great 3 night stay, the price was excellent for the luxurious and clean room and staff who went above and beyond. They were helpful, responsive and friendly. The room service food was very good for room service standards, although the portions are a bit small. The cabanas in the pool area was very nice and relaxing and each cabana was outfitted with a tv with streaming apps. The only issue I had was the TVs in the rooms are old. They are not capable of casting or linking to your phone. That was a bummer because I like to watch shows and movies from my streaming apps on TVs

Lovely stay, very modern & the touches are beautiful - from pulling your bedding back to making sure you have fresh water. The place is state of the art with amenities

Comfortable stay

Stayed in a delixe suite. The bathtub with a city view was fabulous. Unsure if windows tinted so it can be used with blinds open or not. Nowhere to plug phones in by the bed. Staff were warm and welcoming. Would stay again.

Immaculate and classy with very friendly staff!

I was placed on the 6th floor facing Richmond St. Unfortunately it was very close to the street, and the traffic noise was very loud. I wish I had been notified at Concierge of this, and I could have made a preemptive decision to move to a different floor. I also unfortunately did not have any sheets on my bed, just the duvet. Aside from this, the stay was great and the staff were fantastic. The amenities are also fantastic.

This hotel is in an excellent location, within the heart of downtown toronto, with 5 mins walk to union station , and 10 mins from Rogers Center. My room was decorated stylishly, and had a superb view of the city skyline, and cn tower. The staff where friendly and helpful. The downstairs lobby area was a laid back, classy vibe, with lots of people enjoying cocktails. Afternoon tea, with piano music playing in the background. My room had a large bathroom area with a luxury feel, which i hsdnt seen in 5 star hotels , i stayef at previously.

Above and beyond exceptional service and attention to detail. Incredible restaurants, and food and amenities.. my room was so clean. Love the convenience of the breakfast and coffee in the lobby.. had high tea and it was unique delicious and a very special experience!! the fitness area, sauna, yoga room, pool and Jacuzzi are wonderful. I can’t wait to stay again!

Stay elsewhere.

After having stayed at this chain in other major cities, I had an expectation that this would live up to the others. IT DOES NOT. This is not a 5 star hotel anymore. It is in desperate need of a refresh and I found the service to be abysmal- unless they were jobs that were hoping for a tip (concierge, housekeeping). The beds are extra firm and on one of the days, our sheet change had stains and a tear in the sheet. The sheets are like 300TC, the carpet was stained and we found someone's bloody kleenix under the TV stand. The pool is not heated, but the hot tub is wonderful. They also do not change any of the pool cabana sheets, so one day a cabana had a pee stain on it. I would absolutely not stay here again, how disappointing.

Extremely friendly service. Staff always trying to accommodate your needs. Great power bowl at lunch as we were waiting for the room to be ready. Fantastic ambiance in the lounge with live music at the piano every late afternoon and evening. Would highly recommend a visit to the spa while you are there. Great stay!

The property felt cheap and outdated. Charging for every item in the minibar with no gifted amenities for the guests such as basic water or snacks is just cheap compared to other "luxury" hotels that we've been to. The water in the bathroom doesn't even heat up properly and carpets were damp. Wouldn't come back next time unless changes are made

Great experience overall. Staff was attentive and courteous. I was offered a room upgrade upon arrival which exceeded my expectations.

It was a beautiful hotel!

I love the hotel and the service but especially the people. I had a problem at 6am I had to go to a meeting wi the a bank and I forgot at home my cufflinks. I called the concierge and a few minute later the night manager knocked my door with a pair of cufflinks. His name was Perry Leung. Thanks so much Perry for all the help. Spa was also wonderful.

The hotel is beautiful! It is conveniently located near major arenas, theatre and an abundance of restaurants. It’s our first time staying here…but will not be our last!

Good but not all amenities available

The hotel is very nice and the service is great. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom had a large tub and separate shower. The bed was comfortable. The price of the hotel includes amenities. Unfortunately the hot tub and cabanas were not available when we were there. The spa was also fully booked. This was disappointing for the price as I wanted to relax and enjoy the health facilities and spa.

Pretty much perfect

Dead quiet, smelled clean but not overly fragranced, and every employee I encountered was helpful and polite. Nice little steam room in the gym changing rooms.

Excellent stay and service. Was staying here for a birthday weekend and they made everything so seamless for us.

It was a beautiful stay from start to finish. We were greeted with a smile, prompt service, and you just had the feeling that they wanted to do anything for the customer.

Not worth the money !

Not worth the price. Upgraded online to a better room for extra $100 a night. The room was closed off and small. Went to upgrade to the next room and they said it was $158 extra a night. Went to eat lunch and came back to upgrade and different person on the counter and it went to $175 extra a night. When we checked out they actually charged us the $100 and $175 a night. So $275 extra a night ! Which was ludicrous. On top of that valet service which is the only parking option is $68 a night! $2600 for three nights ! Not worth the money !

Well, where do I start? The room that we had was beautiful and the hotel itself is gorgeous, the staff were lovely and the valet team were great. Everything seemed fine until we returned to our room at midnight after a long night out, to find the staff had been in to do a turndown service of our room (which is normally greatly appreciated) but they happened to DROP THEIR BAG OF DRUGS on the way out and left it in our room. Management and Security were contacted. I appreciate their quick attention, and we were comped the room, but STILL very disgusting. I wouldn't stay here again, knowing that this is the level of cleanliness this hotel keeps. Even if it was "leftover garbage from the last guest" which is what we were told from the manager in the morning.. thats almost EVEN worse. That means the level of quality in their housekeeping is subpar at best, and they really need to do more of an internal review of their practices.. this could have been MUCH worse. If we had children with us, a pet, anyone who didn't know what the bag was filled with and tried to handle it themselves, this could have ended in a much worse situation for this hotel. I would never stay here or recommend them again. GROSS.

Really nice and bougie spot.

Dated rooms. Suite was a tiny room with a wall divider that made the two sides so small, they are barely usable. We had to rearrange the furniture to accommodate the in-room dining table. Better 5star choices in Toronto.

Some staff like Jeorge at the front desk were excellent and amazing but the lounge staff needs some training. We were served champagne without cocktail napkins which dripped all over out table and shirt. when asked for napkins, she basically just brought 2 and placed them under the champagne flute and didn't bother to clean the table. it just wasn't a great stay.

Second stay at Shangri-La was as magical and impressive as my first. Customer service, amenities, cleanliness, was sublime. Will definitely be booking again for the massages at the spa which I heard are top notch!

Great property. Staff very committed to ensuring a nice stay. Managers Andy and Alex were particularly great to deal with. Lobby area needs more staff for food and beverage. I’ve noted this each visit. Too much work for too few staff.
