The stay was very pleasant and staff were very friendly and helpful towards our needs. Had an amazing New Year’s Eve countdown party where kids were catered for which makes our stay more enjoyable.

1st Class and an amazing hotel

Awesome service. Great for families with kids. One of the best hotel operations i have experienced. They book cars for yiur rides, have every information you need, help claim baggages from airport if they are delayed, money exchange .what not.

Luxurious and spacious room with good dining options, also within walking distance to attractions and shopping areas.

We’re really pleased with our stay as it is a very nice hotel, modern and with all the facilities needed.

Good service, but some unpleasant customers

A bit messy and rude people(customers) in restaurant. Otherwise, we are all pleased with friendly service and hospitality of all staffs. Housekeeping was also very kind.

Better hotels in KL than Shangri La

Waste of money. This is not a 5 star hotel and the deluxe king room is tiny and grotty. Have stayed in hostel rooms better than this. There are much better hotels in KL than Shangri La. Will never return to this hotel.

Room that we stayed is old, old furnitures, bad smells and carpets are old and dirty with stains on the carpets, old bathroom with molds on the shower walls. Very disappointed, would not recommend to anyone. This hotel needs a big renovation.

So disappointed with the standard of this hotel. We have stayed in some of the other Shangri-la resorts before and expected the same standard here. Will never return.

Everything about our 6 night stay was excellent. The staff were all exceptional and all of the food we had was excellent. The health club facilities were excellent. The Family Room was large and extremely well equipped with great views. My little boy had a great time, the kids activities were only attended by him most of the time, but the staff still made it fun. The pool is a little tired, but still had a great time playing, all the poolside staff were excellent and kind. All in all a great stay, thanks Hotel Shangri-La!

Amazing service, incredible food, beautiful hotel

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The service was perfect from the moment I arrived until I left. The buffet restaurant had incredible food and great service. The entire hotel was beautiful.

The staff was lovely but the room was quite dated and smelled musty. It could’ve been cleaner but the main areas were very well maintained and beautiful. The breakfasts buffet was very well appointed and the staff were warm, welcoming and helpful.

the property is old already, food in breakfast is just average. Not your typical SHANGRI La standards.

Famous where name concerned

Our stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur was simply outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm, attentive service that set the tone for an indulgent experience. The rooms were beautifully appointed, offering lovely views of the city, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a true highlight, with an impressive array of high-quality dishes from around the world, prepared to perfection. The spa and pool provided a tranquil escape, ideal for unwinding after a day out in the city. The only slight improvement could be the addition of a bar serving cocktails by the pool. Aside from that, everything was spot on. A superb experience, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in Kuala Lumpur!

Great hotel for business

As a hotel KL Shangri La is as good as it gets. The staff and everything about it was first class. The area is a little challenging to negotiate, roads extremely busy - It was a business trip so travelling around wasn't much fun but a wonderful hotel to come back to to relax.

First visit to KL

My first time visiting the city. This had a great location to see what the city had to offer. The pool, gym and spa all amazing in quality and I used them multiple times during my trip. Ate at the bar and grill, food and service both very good and staff very friendly and welcoming. Will plan to visit again.

The Shangri La hotel is keeping their quality for long time. The breakfast is fantastic.

The property is good bit my whole experience was ruined by the check in. Upon arrival i was escorted by a staff member to be checked in. She said to wait and i would be seen as soon as an agent was available. The moment the agent was free and walked towards her when she told me ro wait as a the gentleman behind me was before me. There was no one behind me when i arrived, but i waited. It was now going on 10mins and all the other agents were seeing guests who arrived after me before me. After awhile i was seeen and immediately expressed my disappointment. The agent apologised profusely but this marred my experience as throughout my stay i kept getting bad vibes from the staff. The property is beautiful, local to everything but i was left to feel uncomfortable throughout my stay.

Fantastic staff and customer service. The result was a wonderful stay at the Shangri-la KL.

Well manage

I am writing to express extreme disappointment with a recent stay at the hotel. What should have been a relaxing honeymoon was anything but. Despite being advertised as a haven of tranquility, the adults-only areas were consistently overrun by children with no staff intervention. Upgrading to the Horizon Club made no difference, as it was equally chaotic with loud videos and kids running around. The noise levels were unbearable, and the poolside was no better with guests playing loud music unchecked by staff, who instead provided them with cold towels and food. It was the wild west. The hotel is described as a place of rejuvenation, but the experience was far from it. Despite reaching out to the hotel to rectify these issues, we were completely ignored. The complete lack of control and disregard for guest comfort ruined a special occasion. Expected a luxurious, peaceful stay, and instead found a chaotic environment. This is far from the five-star quality anticipated. While the staff were friendly and professional, these issues need to be addressed to ensure future guests can enjoy the serene experience promised.

In general, Hotel management is good, and staffs are very polite and helpful too. only problem is location a bit traffic problem.

The hotel is very elegant with lots of amenities. Our room was huge and comfortable with an oversized bathroom and lots of storage space. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was amazing. There were so many options that I had to take it all in before starting. The hotel is located in the heart of everything and yet it was very quiet in our room.

Old hotel

Old hotel, the rooms are in desperate need for renovation. The carpet in the room was very worn off. And in 2024, in a 5 star hotel, in Shangri-la, you cannot have nescafe and a kettle in the rooms anymore! Nescafe really? Looks very cheap and 1990s. Also where is the nextflix options on tv? I am not asking for free netflix but at least you could set your tv, so people can loginto their own accounts. Also cheap non-branded shampoos etc didnt help. This hotel remains in 1990s I am afraid.

Shangri-La always familiar and cosy, good service and staff

Hello The room was not very clean.

We wanted to stay at a shangri la because we liked our stay in Taiwan and this was more centered. I love that it’s very kid friendly but the Rooms are a bit dated. It is walkable to many popular attractions but it’s very hot in Malaysia. The hotel does provide shuttles but it’s not frequent. Our family enjoyed the pool and the kids club

What makes this hotel for me is the staff attention to all their customers. Being able to communicate via WhatsApp and the Shangri-La circle app is very convenient and with their quick response is amazing. I have stayed in this hotel now for 10 days over the past 14 (out of town for 4 days). Would not think of staying anywhere else! Great management and staff.

Love Shang KL. The lobby is grand unlike sim of the newer 5star hotels. Their amenities and staff are equivalent to a 6star hotel.

One very small quibble.

Very pleased with our stay at the hotel. One small quibble, as we were leaving very early Saturday 10th February we requested a takeaway breakfast. The standard of the takeaway did not match the high standard of the food served at the hotel. The sandwiches were soggy and tasteless compared to the excellent food at dinner and in house breakfast. The staff were always polite and helpful. Woulkd certainly come back to stay again.

Location was convenient to an MRT stop as well as the Petronas Towers. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only used the in house restaurant once - nasi lemak was tasty. Also had cocktails one evening - again staff were very pleasant. Relaxing environment for an evening drink.

Fantastic Stay

What a fantastic hotel. You must got for a room / suite with access to the Horizon Club Lounge, great service and food. The staff are all so good, great service with a smile.

The room could be updated a bit some areas of the carpet and the woodwork can be updated

Excellent place to stay. However property does feel tired. Was here with 2 young children 2 and 5 years old.

I request higher floor and they give me lower floor blocking by building. I was love by shangri-la hotel in Bangkok so i pick this hotel it was very disappointing. Need update hotel like room carpet and hallway. Room smell like mold.

Property was clean and overall good enough, but the hotel could definitley use an upgrade. Shower area is tight for an Executive room.

Amazing service

This is a beautiful hotel with the old world feel. We had an one bedroom room with access to the Horizon Club where you have our breakfast buffet, afternoon tea and evening drinks with various snacks and some hot food. You could park your rental car at hotel for free. The best way to tour Kuala Lumpur is a bus tour, about $26 for two. You may get off the bus any stop (places of interests) and get back to bus later, the tickets last two days.

Property is very central to a lot of things. Easy to walk to towers and shopping. Only issue is make sure your booking is correct if traveling with young kids. As my booking there was an issue with and felt like they just wanted to upsell me the nxt room rather than helping with the issue.

I'm not sure if all rooms in the hotel are like mine. I'm suspect they are not, as they made several attempts to get me to pay to upgrade. My room was small, tired, and in need of a refresh. It isn't what I'd expect from a Shangri-la property.

The hotel is absolutely fantastic!!! Exquisite ambience and beautiful decor. The environment is very smooth and relaxing. The staff is extremely courteous, helpful and accommodating. The room was beautiful and very elegant and thoughtful in design. We did not make use of the restaurants but they looked great.The lounge was the best part for us, with great food and drinks all day, and a wonderful vocal artist and piano player in the evening. The hotel was a brief walk to the Petronas towers and very conveniently connected via monorail to the city centre. Overall, a most wonderful and excellent experience!!

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! What makes this hotel so great is undoubtedly the staff... they are first class! Always smiling and professional. The food was brilliant, the room was lovely... we just loved this hotel!

overall ok

In general property is ok. Stuff is trying to be friendly, but somehow useless at times. For example we extended our stay and they needed 40 minutes to sort it out without having any other guests waiting. I want to make a big point about the housekeeping who literally did not clean anything in our room apart from doing our bed and that’s for a period of 6 days. Leaving marks on desk not cleaned, leaving crisps on floor and on bed after my children have been eating, also not changing the bedsheets for 6 days…. The property overall is nice and good value for money, not amazing and a bit old, but for the money we pay it’s ok. One more thing that I want to point out to F&B MANAGER is that stuff in the lobby bar have no shoes their size to wear and barely managed to walk with oversized shoes 3-4 sizes above theirs. i felt very bad about the waitresses seeing this. i mean a hotel change with a well-recognised name such as Shangri-la voyld at least afford to dress their staff normally right?

Shout out to Ms Kiren for assisting us with the check-in and excellence service during our arrival. Knowing I have young children, she provided us with a family room option which was not available at the time I made the reservation. Did not regret upgrading our room. It's spacious. My toddler loves the tentage setup and the room space makes it easier to control the noise which my toddler makes while my baby is sleeping.

We had a wonderful time at Shangri-la. It was our first time at their hotel. Staff were exceptional. Well finished hotel. Pool facilities were great. One other recommendation would be if they gave us an understanding of the services available aka shuttle runs we could have utilised it alot more
