The property was nice enough. Bed was comfortable. Staff does not speak or understand any English. Shuttle to and from the airport only. Concierge service was not helpful. Hard to catch Taxis back to the property.

Convenient to outlet and airport.

The concierge was very friendly and helpful to assist me with my luggage. Staff No. 211233 was extremely helpful for me during my stay there.

This is a good place for an overnight stay between flights. I have to say the food at dinner was first class.

Check in staff is pretty rude, and has very poor English for communication. Overall stay doesn’t worth the price, you can get much better experience in a cheaper hotel nearby.

Love the airport shuttle and the room. Super clean and everyone is very kind. Employee 225,222 housekeeping lady was so kind during my stay. She was very helpful and made me feel very welcomed. Thank you auntie!

When we arrived, our room was not clean, but they did switch us to another room. The first room was also very noisy as I guess there’s construction next-door. The breakfast was very good.

Lots of big trucks parked in front of hotel. But aside from everything’s good even foods in the restaurant are great.

The room was very clean and neat. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to Pudong airport and they also have shuttle bus service.

We were only there a few hours, but certainly as an airport hotel it was great period the staff was very good, the rooms were just fine and it had a very convenient airport shuttle.

First Room was badly cigarette smoke smell.I think I choose no smoking room .Second room was ok much cleaner I think ,the smell of cigarettes was not in that rooom. But is a convenient place for transfer travels and shuttle is very convenient.Thank you

Nice hotel and very convenient transport with nice and helpful staff

For 1 night the property is fine for airport. Very convenient for airport. It is clean. The hotel provides shuttle buses. Very reasonable price. Nice food in the restaurant. Only problem is there is nothing near the hotel. There are few shops but you have to walk 15mins. The problem we had as all over china staff don’t speak much English.

Great layover hotel with free airport shuttle

I had an amazing stay at Shanghai-Deco Hotel during an overnight layover, and it exceeded all my expectations! This hotel is perfect for travellers in transit, as they offer a free airport shuttle that runs on the hour, making airport transfers seamless and stress-free. The shuttle is easy to locate, and it truly made my travel experience much smoother. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast - a fantastic spread with options for every taste. Starting my day with such a great meal set a positive tone for the rest of my stay. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with any questions or requests. Although I was there for just one night, the location is ideal for anyone wanting to explore a bit of Shanghai, as it’s close enough to the city for a quick evening adventure. Overall, Shanghai-Deco is the perfect place for an overnight layover in Shanghai. Highly recommend!

A great stay for thr night. Loved that there was a free shuttle back and forth. Only issue is that there's no street food near by, need to walk 20mins.

Providing shuttle service to airport is a plus. Included breakfast is attractive.

Very nice and clean room, looks like it has been recently renovated. A few reviews said about aircraft noise. Yes, there were a few infrequent and the provided earplugs have no use. Fortunately aircraft noise didn’t last into late night and had a good sleep. The airport shuttle bus was on time. There isn’t very much around the hotel. The hotel restaurant was the only choice. The inclusive breakfast starts at 05:30 with decent choices of Chinese and Western food.

Stuff was great, I had to send an express mail before I left the hotel, a front desk stuff Mr. Cheng , Yong 程永 ( His employee ID number 249) helped me to setup SF express service. It was very helpful! I appreciated it a lot. The surrounding area is not so well, nothing around, like a far village area. All are good Other than that .

Really nice hotel. Let down by the room we were in facing warehouse facility with all that entails. Would I stay again? Absolutely

Wonderful stay

We stayed one night there. Because our flight was very early next morning, the hotel’s shuttle bus really help. We took the 4:15am shuttle to PVG airport. Shuttle was very on time (arrive T1 at 4:40am) and the hotel front desk even prepared take away breakfast brown bags for us which was very thoughtful. Room was clean, stay was comfortable, check in was smooth and easy. All the staffs there are nice, courteous and very helpful.

This is my go to hotel on arrival in Shanghai, and for staying the night before departure. Shuttle is so convenient. Breakfast is good. Room is nice. Price is fair.

We were very happy to stay there. Especially, we had a good sleep. Everything was clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We wanted to stay there longer.

Check in was smooth. Staff are super courteous,friendly and efficient . Staff no.220 did an awesome job cleaning our room daily. Shuttle bus to Disney and airport to/fro was so convenient for us. Thanks hotel.com for the recommendation.

Just a place to sleep

This is nothing more than a place to sleep. Don't expect much else. The breakfast was okay.

Hotel is good for a transit sleepover night with a nice shuttle bus facilities. Staff were OK and it would have been better if you were better welcomed. Nothing around the hotel to visit as it is in the middle of nowhere. Won't be using Expedia again as they put a misleading advert on a previous booking before this one and Expedia did not resolve the issue to my expectation and wasted an hour with them. Therefore, I do not recommend any future bookings with Expedia.

Very convenient airport hotel. Looks less glamorous than in the photos but food was tasty and service was good. Shuttle to airport also good.

10 mins taxi away from the nearest subway station is it's convenient but not walkable. Airport shuttles are nice, and the breakfast is decent. The room felt a bit old, and had a moldy smell when we arrived. Turning on the AC helped getting rid of the smell. There is cigarette ash stuck in one of the cups near the dresser despite it being a smoke free room. Overall pleasant enough for an airport hotel.

Nice little hotel, clean and safe ver close to the airport which is convenient, free transportation every hour. Just far from everything but the airport. You can order food to your room and the staff is very helpful in doing so.

I enjoyed my stay at Shanghai DECO hotel. I appreciate the hard work of staff No. 225 in making here a comfortable place to stay.

It was convenient for the airport and an easy ride into Shanghai via taxi

The young men working at the entrance door were great and much easier to deal with during my stay. They were very helpful and knowledgeable and very pleasant. The people at the check-in desk were less friendly, maybe because of our language barrier. The airport shuttle was very good and convenient. I was disappointed that there was nowhere near the hotel where could shop.

The fact that it was so near the airport was certainly a plus.

False in providing shuttle to and from Airport. You can't falsify even if you have in the lobby a schedule that really is not accurate. The staff for the most part can't speak english so forget getting a clear answer.

Great hotel close to airport and metro.

A great place to stay. Very close to the airport and metro (15mins) with a free hourly shuttle bus. We used that service to visit the tourists sites in the city - very easy. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious and breakfast was excellent. It is in a semi industrial area but it’s only a 20min walk to shops snd restaurants if you need them. The hotel restaurant suited us well with a good menu and inexpensive. We would stay again

Those booking should be realistic about expectations. For what you pay, this place is worth it. The good: -breakfast is decent (eggs, noodles, fruits, various other items). -airport shuttle. Hotel is not by anything, but we’d just take the shuttle to and from the airport, and went to the metro line there. Keep in mind that the subway/metro does stop running in the evening. We found out when it randomly stopped at a stop, so we grabbed a taxi/didi. -front desk is hit and miss with English, but they’re polite and use a translation app. -washer and dryer onsite and free for guests to use. Downside is there’s only two of each and guests aren’t considerate. I got stuck waiting on people to come and deal with their clothes. If you use the machines then set a timer. Be considerate. Be prompt to toss things into the dryer, then collect your crap. I wanted to just toss one of the peoples things out because I took multiple trips to the machines, and their clothes was just hanging out in the machines. The bad (I hope management sees this, because it won’t detour me from staying again, but was inconvenient): -WiFi was definitely lacking. I stayed in the second building, but this should get improved -would be great to add more laundry machines or at least another dryer. I washed clothes in 15 minutes, then waited on the idiot who chose nearly a 2 hour drying cycle -clean shower drains! -wipe room floors -add an English tv channel or some free movies -check linens. Mine had stains

Excellent and reliable shuttle services, very helpful and friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffett, and clean and comfortable room. The only drawback is location and its surrounding. Good for overnight stay

The room was clean and so nice. The bed was huge. I really appreciated their accommodating my request to change my room type from twin beds to queen bed. The breakfast was also decent.

Shuttle bus to PVG

The bed is comfortable and the breakfast buffet is way above the average in Chinese hotels. Checkin was quick and the airport transfer bus arrived on time. The only cons are some level of noise the hallway and the lack of shops and restaurants in the immediate area.

A bit further from the metro station, I have to change to a bus to get there. Everything was good, but the air conditioning was too noisy. I have to switch it off to fall asleep.

Really excellent experience. The hotel is close to the airport and has reliable shuttle services. Really good breakfast with a ton of choices. A special thank you to staff#222 who provided great services during our stay. Will definitely come back in the future!

Decent value. Close to the airport but not much else. Rooms were a bit cramped. Had a bit of smoky smell, so could have been more thoroughly cleaned.

I really was impressed with how clean and Fresh my room was every evening when we returned. The breakfast was excellent too. And the staff very accommodating. I would love to stay here again. And this is coming from someone who has stayed at a Hilton hotel in Chongqing for over a month.

Good service, very clean rooms, the food of breakfast is exellent! The facilities with washer and dryer are convenient for the guests. It is my first choise to stay in Deco Hotel when I visit Shanghai next time.

Well maintained hotel but the breakfast choices aren’t as good as it used to be compared to 4 years ago. Room is comfortable, cozy, and quiet. It’s so convenient to go to the airport.

Located in the middle of nowhere, not very clean (but not particularly dirty) no access to food, restaurants or transit, and still not actually that close to the airport. Would not stay here again.

It would be nice to have options for dinner after 8 pm

A gentleman at the front desk was very helpful to resolve with my questions about my airline ticket. A service staff at the morning buffet made a lot of noise when she was cleaning up the dishes.

The value / price ratio is good for this hotel. They provide hourly free shuttle service from & to the airport, and free breakfast buffet. Room is clean. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. However, the location of the hotel is not very convenient. It’s located right by many warehouses, and can be quite noisy at night. There is not much to do around. But considering the price and the good service, I would stay there next time.

Location and breakfast are excellent.

Big warning: the breakfast at this hotel only starts at 8:30!!! It is pretty late in any sense yet it does not show this info anywhere on the booking page. If you have relatively early flight in the morning, you probably will miss the breakfast at the hotel. I paid for the breakfast when booking the room thinking a 11am flight would be late enough to enjoy the breakfast, but it is NOT! The breakfast only starts at 8:30! It is usually 6:30 in other big hotels. So i have to leave the hotel with empty stomach. It is not worth the price!

The experience matches the price. It is well suited to a night before a flight when you are coming in to sleep and that’s it. They have an airport shuttle that runs once an hour which is great. English was minimal and the room numbers and floor numbers don’t match which was weird and made finding my room challenging.

We stayed in Shanghai Deco Hotel on August 27-28. During that night, we need to see a doctor due to emergency. The front desk immediately arranged the hotel driver to send us to the hospital and the driver (Mr. Gong) gave us a big help for us. We also can catch the flight in the early morning. Shanghai Deco Hotel gave us the professional and warmest help. We appreciate their excellent service.
