Staff is very kind and attentive

Property was conveniently placed near the local strip for bars and restaurants. Inside was clean and modern and quiet during the night. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

The hotel is based in a great location with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel was very clean and warm and provided a comfortable stay.

No onsite reception, but staff easily reachable 24/7 via WhatsApp. Checking in and out is a breeze. Very clean and spacious suite. Great neighbourhood (heart of Casimir/Kazimierz district).

This listing said they have 24/7 reception But when I got there at 1 AM With a check-in invoice No one was there. I kept ringing the bell and finally someone came on an intercom to tell me that there were no rooms left, and there was nothing they could do for me. Since I was not able to book Another hotel online because it was past midnight guess of that hotel finally helped me find something and took me to there. The service in this hotel is pathetic and there is a great deal of remodeling going on. Avoid this hotel. I had booked and paid for two nights and found a much better hotel in a better area. Now I have to struggle to get my money back for this nightmare I don’t appreciate being left out in the cold and the dark with someone saying there’s nothing they can do to help me because they have no rooms

We booked this hotel mainly on the back of reviews which class tit as 'exceptional'. This is a hotel with lots of character and is well maintained. If you have mobility issues then request lower floor accommodation. Breakfast was very adequate for the size of the hotel, although (like many places in Poland) do not particularly cater for a vegan diet in terms of providing non-dairy milk. They may well have done so if we asked, but it was easier to buy our own from a local shop. Coffee and tea provided in the rooms but no milk. Shower gel was provided in small sachets, so perhaps don't rely on provided toiletries for your needs. We did find it a little noisy late at night from some people on the street who had obviously been having a good time, but this wasn't a major issue for us. Reception is not manned, and entrance to the hotel and rooms is via numeric codes provided via text. Only staff we saw were at breakfast and occasionally a cleaner - all very friendly. Location is excellent being close to lots of bars and restaurants, and a 15 - 20 minute stroll to the main square. There is a very nice, friendly and reasonably restaurant across the road (Wrega) with inside seating and a large courtyard which is definitely recommended. Whilst we cannot fault the hotel in any way for the price, but classing as exceptional may give a false impression. Expect a nice clean hotel with comfortable rooms, but don't expect a 5-star experience.

Great area,ok rooms but needs solutions to times when Poland is 28 degrees and above.if I owned a hotel with heat problems I would find a solution for guests.a tower fan in room does nothing.and with ongoing heat issues in central Europe continuing hotels need low cost solutions.thats my only gripe and am sure most hotels are having issues in kameriez area.thanks for great stay in Krakow we really had a great time

the location was great and easy access to the city. It was hot out during our stay so no AC was an issue for me.

Nice , quite place to stay in old apartment but close to bars in restaurants in kazimierz old town.

Me and my friend stayed for 3 nights and I must say a good value for money. Breakfast was basic but very nice. Staff are good and they let us checked in early. Easy access to everything! Highly recommend and I will come back again if there’s any chance!

The location was fantatsic for us, wuthin walking distance of most things and close to public transport. There is a great array of resturant bars etc. Our room was extremely clean and of a good size and standard, with a balacony that I expect would be lovely in the summer. We had a great stay. However we did have a couple of issues. Firstly being the queen size bed is actually 2 beds together which causes a gap which was a little uncomfortable. The mattresses individually are comfortable but together as a queen size we felt didnt work. Neither does having 2 single quilts rather 1 large one. Our TV didnt work in our room, which we reported via email as the reception is not manned, but was just advised of a breakdown, no offer of a solution. There is no bar as advertised. The shower head was a bit poor as all the jets spray in different directions and some dont work. We did find the room quite cold if the bathroom door was left closed. The heating was on but it didnt feel the one radiator was enough. The lady who does the breakfast is lovely, welcoming and very accomadating. The hotel is lovely, and spotlessly clean. It was just a little dissapointing with the couple of issues mentioned.

my shower room was small and poorly laid out, had to climb around sink to sit on toilet. They could put sink on opposite wall and it would resolve this..... room 21...

Perfect location in Kazimierz Jewish Quarter, right in the centre of heaps of great bars and restaurants. Property itself is adequate but "quaint". Tiny square pillows are very odd and not great to sleep on. Housekeeping didn't change the sheets or properly clean bathroom in the time we stayed, rather just folded everything and made the bed, put out new bottles of water. Staff were helpful and allowed us to extend our stay by a half day as we were catching a midnight train out of Krakow.

Lovely hotel perfect location

Had a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel . Didnt use restaurant so cant say about that ,we were on the 3rd floor ( top floor ) ask for a lower floor if you struggle with stairs as there is no lift at the hotel , perfect location not to far from anywhere , comfortable beds and quiet didnt hear no outside noise , would stay here again thank you 5 star from us

I have never been to a hotel with this much warmth and friendliness. This was more like a home than a hotel, all the staff were welcoming, helpful and always friendly. The food and service was to the highest standard. Without doubt I will return again and again and recommend highly to all my friends and family.

Amazing location

Very quaint and beautiful hotel in heart of Jewish quarters in Kraków. Great night sleep on super comfy bed and mattress ( which is important to have good rest while on business trip)

The hotel has an old-world charm, but my room and bathroom were quite small. The walls are quite thin and you can hear other guests' conversations, but the hotel was very quiet at night and easy to rest in. Despite the thinness of the walls, l slept better here than in any other hotel l stayed in while l was in Poland.

I loved that it was so cosy and how friendly and welcoming the staff members are. The location is easy to get to the main square. Great sites to see and very close to cafes and restaurants.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything was very clean. Nothing wasgtoo much trouble The only negstive was fery loud talking and laughing late into the evening from people drinking at tables outside from across the street.

The place is located in a party area so it is was very loud all night long (I stayed from Friday to Sunday). Everything else was all right. Breakfast boring, but all right.

The room was decorated to a very high standard, very clean and very helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was a good choice at breakfast. The only criticisms I had was the room would have been better if there was a fridge in there and air conditioning would have been a plus as the weather was extremely warm. There was a big fan in the room however to compromise which helped. I would recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.

Good Location, 15 minute or so walk to Old Town. Very helpful staff organising transport from the airport and any day trips you wish to go on. On a slightly negative note there is not a huge variety at breakfast and the hotel was quite loud, the walls must be quite thin. Overall it was perfect for what we needed just stopping by for 2 nights.

We had a wonderful stay at the Shalom Kazimierz. The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring and close to some great restaurants and bars. The rooms are comfortable and cosy. The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave advice on how to get around and printed off our boarding tickets and train times. I will definitely book this hotel again, next time we visit.

This is the best value for the money hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are small, but they are very clean and have all of the amenities you would need. The location is great, in the heart of Jewish neighborhood. Lastly, I was treated very well by the receptionists during my stay. If this place is available, book it!

Like: Location. Did not like: No elevator: At checkout, hotel could not supply a Faktura (for Polish companies so no worries if you are travelling as a tourist) & referred me back to Expedia to supply this. A total waste of time!!!!! TV: I am not a huge TV watcher but I do like to watch the news..Most Krakow hotels offer at the minimum, BBC or Sky or even CNN. Only Polish TV offered or if foreign, had that horrible dubbing..

Great new hotel, only small (14 rooms) in the middle of the Jewish Quarter of Krakow. The staff couldn't do enough for you! Very impressed that they emailed me within an hour of booking to ask whether we wanted breakfast or airport transfers! Couldn't do enough for you! Beautiful room, with tea, coffee facilities, hairdryer and enough storage space.

A hidden gem

First trip to Poland and when I return I will certainly be staying here again. Am unassuming entrance hides a gem of a hotel inside. All of the staff I spoke with were friendly & helpful - nothing was too much trouble. I had prebooked trips via the hotel before my arrival, which meant I only had to pay for them when I checked in which saved me time. The room had a mobile phone available to use for calls, Internet, Google maps etc. I thought this was brilliant - it certainly saved me using my own data allowance when I was out and about. Tea/coffee/bottled water was freely available - perhaps a wee fridge would be a good idea to keep the water cool? I'd have liked milk for my tea. However I never asked for any so can't really complain too much!!

great hotel in the centre of Kazimierz

Really good location. About 20 mins walk to the Old Town but you get to see lots of Kraków on the way. Fab restaurants near by and lots to see. Staff were lovely and helpful. Room was cleaned everyday. Only tiny downside was that there was no air con, only a little fan which didn’t really do the job.

overall excellent stay. Room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small. Unfortunately, the rooms were exceptionally hot during an unprecedented heat wave throughout Europe. Air conditioning would be an added bonus!

This hotel is a great value in a great location. It's right in the heart of Kraków's Kazimierz area, with great bars, restaurants, street food, and nightlife. It's about a 15-minute walk from Wawel Castle and the main square in the Old Town, a 20-minute walk from Schindler's Factory, and a 30-minute walk from the main train and bus stations. My room was tiny but perfectly adequate. The wi-fi is lightning fast. Hot water for the shower works fine. I suppose the only down side is that being in the middle of all the nightlife, it can be a bit noisy outside until quite late at night. But I found that with the windows closed, the noise wasn't a significant problem. The hotel is tiny -- only a handful of rooms on each floor -- so noise from other guests wasn't noticeable.

Boutique style small hotel with very modern rooms (rooms are a bit small for larger persons) but the bathrooms are awesome. Service was very friendly and it's in a great neighborhood

Lovely Hotel

Hotel emailed once we had booked letting us know that they can arrange a taxi from the airport - emailed back giving flight numbers and times and the taxi was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived. Hotel Staff were very helpful in every aspect of our trip both before via email and during, helping with directions and which buses etc to get. Hotel room was lovely, clean and tidy, beds were very comfy. Rainfall shower - excellent Location was exactly what we wanted - close to lots of excellent restaurants

Absolutely phenomenal place, perfect location in historic Jewish quarter with restaurants and everything else you might need. If you go to Cracow, Seriously consider Shalom Kazimierz to be the place where you stay, you will not regret it!

Good Place

Does the job if you just need a simple and comfy place to stay in a cool neighborhood. Just what you need to stay few nights, not more, not less. Nice and professional staff at the reception, clean place, but location is the best thing.

One night stay

The hotel is clean. There is no elevator so be ready to walk with your luggage up to 4th floor. Rooms are small there is almost no place to open your luggage. They put a lot of furniture inside so that it looks more spacious in picture. Towels, shampoo, bedsheets looked clean and high quality. The wall is thin so you can hear the neighbors. I think it's a bit overpriced place. Unfortunately Krakow in summer is super overpriced so be ready for West Europe prices

In the centre of the Jewish area

Centrally located for the Jewish area and not far from the castle.. 25 minutes walk to the old city. The hotel was fine could have done with a fridge in the room.

Nostalgic, needs aircond and sound proofing

The staff were helpful. The hotel gave a 10% discount for its restaurant. The room is a bit too small. No table to write as table was too narrow in width. To improve: toiletries such as shaver and tooth brush. Room is too hot, a fan may help since there is no air condition. Outside noise is terrible - the people party all night long. I fell asleep out of exhaustion. I complained at 2+ am and staff helped to ask noise makers to go away but they didn't. It affected my next day. The room door is hard to close and lock. The first time I locked it before I left, the neighbour a strong young man opened his door and yelled at me. I did not know I had a neighbour. The floor is carpeted, otherwise all the noises associated with a house will be even further magnified. There is no lift and so hotel staff has to help especially with the older travelers. I like the gesture of 10% off food but I would like to ask for 15 if not 20% as the food is a bit pricey and the discount goes to tips for the restaurant staff. The buffet area is small and can be too warm in the afternoon/evening. I do not mind staying again in the hotel if the above could be improved.

We stayed here recently and was very happy with our choice of hotel the staff are friendly and the hotel is kept clean. The hotel is located in the Jewish quarter which is a vibrant area to stay close to some good bars and restaurants with various attractions all within walking distance. Would recommend this hotel.

Huge comfortable room with some luxurious elements therefore excellent value. Great shower, very homely. Wifi cut out once or twice during my 2 days stay. You will get some music noise from the bar downstairs if your room is on the first floor but it"s nothing terminal. I have stayed in perhaps 20 or 25 Krakow hotels and only Hotel Colombus was as good as Shalom Kasimierz.

Nice hotel great location

Hotel location, Staff and cleanliness all excellent. Linen and towels changed daily.Easy registration on arrival. Good restaurant. Be aware if you have walking difficulties there is no elevator. The rooms do not have air con. However the hotel has recently been renovated and the shower is very good and the beds are comfortable. I would certainly stay here again.

An enjoysbke stay .Room was clean with changes if towels everyday snd plenty of toiletries .Reception staff really helpful and friendly. We were on second floor but there was no lift so be careful if you have mobility problems. The breakfast was ok but yiu csn get a cheaper one with more options t a csfe acrkss the road and there are plenty of other alternatives in the area.

JUST PERFECT

This is a newly refurbished hotel so everything was brand new. The staff were extremely helpful . Location is great , right the heart of the Jewish quarter amongst the many restaurants and bars. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to warwel castle and another 5 to the main town square . Highly reccomended.

Ich war mit meinen Enkelkinder in Hotel Shalow von 25/12 bis 28.12 . Das zimmer war groß und gemütlich. Es gibt viele Restaurant in der Nähe. Wir sind nach Stare Miasto fünf minuten bleiben. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und das kosten ist billig. Dieses Hotel finde Ich leise . Ich finde die Arbeiten sehr sympathisch. Wir wollen nachste jahr bekommem , weil unsere urlaubreise super nett war.

Situata nel quartiere ebraico molto carino i dintorni io ero al 3 piano e non c’è ascensore avrei preferito una camera al primo piano. Stanza 30 da me occupata il riscaldamento non era ben funzionante
