Enjoyable
Very comfortable and friendly.
Bad service, goods rooms.
There not alweys been there someone who can speak hebraw, and when we saidnthay to the manager he answered in rude way. Onky ine key ti the rooms, even we asked for two, its not avilable. Reception not reall have someone 24 hours. Breakfest is VERY poor
This historic hotel is only 3 blocks from Old Town and close to all shopping and dining. Great price for such an amazing place. Their entire staff especially Bashar are very helpful, interesting and supportive. Will come stay here again!
The Sergei is like a fairy tale little castle with its own bar/cafe in the outskirts of busy Jerusalem. The rooms are much more accommodating than anything else around, which makes the extra block walk worth it. Unfortunately, parking is very limited and my beautiful room was upstairs with no elevator, but then again, worth it. The only 2 drawbacks were lack of pool and the terrible view from my window which took away all the glamour of this dreamy hotel. It gets 4.5 stars from me.
Beautiful facility, friendly staff, clean, beautiful gardens. Great breakfast. Nice area to walk to downtown & old city.
Place and staff are very nice and friendly, specially Mohammed on reception that unfortunately I couldn’t say good bye. Adding Alex as well where helped us when we arrived there. One thing that could improve is the wifi signal on the rooms, overall I would recommend to everyone.
This hotel is about 7,8 minutes walk from light rail station. Also convenient to walk to attractions and lots of eateries. Nice and friendly staff. Breakfast is good. There’s a restaurant next to the hotel. We love the food, especially the Russian recipes
The room had no shawer only a bathtub which was not conviene for my senior parents, thank God it was only one night.
Couldn't have been batter.
Stayed 4 night sin April 2023. Couldn't have been better. Great breakfast.
This is an old building… a former Russian hospice. It is dates but clean and the beds are comfortable. It is on an excellent location just up the Street from the trolley. Breakfast is good…Russian… but you can get an omelette and different egg options. The staff at the restaurant were especially attentive and really did their best to please while the rest of the staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay there again.
Great Hotel, Great staff.
The hotel is well located for both the old town and restaurants. It also has good access to public transport. The staff were very helpful and rooms were cleaned daily to a very good standard. If you're staying in one of the rooms facing the street it can get a bit noisy but it didn't go on too late.
Basic but very nice room. Prime location.
Basic but very nice room. Prime location.
Nice historical building. The restaurant was worse : poorly organized, short staffed, lacking choices in the menu. Too expensive.
Only complain was the late checkout not available. Other then that all was very good.
We liked staying here for 5 nights as it was very close to restaurants and businesses to shop at. The palace was quiet except it was the World Cup finals so we didn’t mind a bit of noise. Our room had a bedroom and a sitting room , which we loved after spending a full day walking around the country. One room for sleeping, one room for hanging out. The breakfast was a bit boring as we were the only ones staying there for a few of the days but the staff made the breakfast as enjoyable as possible.
Beautiful garden great location
Amazing personal and beautiful garden. Only suggest is the breakfast was quite simple and repetitive
Unique experience
Great location and beautiful gardens. Be aware that if you have an external faced bedroom closest to the bars around 50m away you may experience noise at night at the weekends. Otherwise very quiet and relaxing. Staff very helpful and friendly and would stay again.
This is a beautiful property.
the staff was pleasant. the grounds are lovely. there was a weird smell in the room and the design is very simple.
The Sergei Palace is actually a palace. It holds a lot of history of past travelers from Russia who enjoyed their stay in the Holy Lands over 100 years. There is a real majesty and elegance in the place. As you pass through the wide stone entrance you are confronted with a beautiful crystal lit center garden with trees, a fountain and tiny lights which illuminate a restaurant tucked in back. The rooms have an old world elegance to them with bathrooms that are modern and marble. The staff were wonderful. Alex at the front desk was very friendly as were the cleaning crew and the serving crew. Breakfasts were included in our plan which was a surprise as my husband and I don’t usually eat early. It became a lovely habit to choose from a very wide selection of freshly prepared foods—cold fish, egg dishes, cheeses, yoghurt and salads—-a real variety of foods to sample. Cappuccino machine made a very good espresso. We loved planning our day in the comfort of this charming building in the garden. The location could not have been better. We were close to so many nice takeout places on Jaffa street which would bring us down to The Jaffa Gate of old city. The area is itself historical, so the walk to the old city could include stopping to look at the plaques on many of the buildings.
If you want a charming old world stay with location to food and Jaffa Gate, a beautiful garden and restaurant and great varied healthy breakfasts, well, the Sergei is for you! We loved every minute and so appreciate the support of Alex at the front desk, a waiter who always had a warm friendly demeanor. Staff were just lovely. We stayed 7 nights.
Centrally located very close to Jaffa Street. Need to provide help and advise for local tours. Need to use proper crockery and cutlery rather than disposables.
Great location and renovated historical building.
Fantastic location, great renovation of an historical building. Clean basic room. Friendly staff - and helpful. 12-min walk to the Jaffa Gate. Dinner was tasty. Breakfast selection was good.
Hotel property was built in 1886 and was recently renovated . No elevator but only 2 floors . Israeli breakfast was adequate . hotel sign in front very small so not easy to find the first time . hotel staff nice and helpful ...especially Elena
very unique and quaint property in Jerusalem, a short walk from the old city. Beautiful gardens and outdoor dining area
Lack of business center was surprising.
Excellent hotel in a great location. A true palace! Luxury at a price that I could afford! My first choice for a return trip!
Convenient and atmospheric
Very convenient for the old city and city centre. Secluded hotel with lots of atmosphere. Although located in a quiet street, the bedrooms would benefit from double glazing to minimise noise from passing cars & people. We booked room only for 1 night
Beautiful place, very good value for money
Great place with superb location within a walking distance to the Old City and the center of Jerusalem. The junior suite was clean, spacious and very comfortable for a couple. We were able to park on-site but note there is no sufficient parking space for all rooms so you may need to park outside of the hotel. Recommend to call the hotel ahead of arrival to check on the parking availability. Can't park on the streets near by as parking is limited for 2 hours. You would need to park in a garage. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as it was for an extra charge and there are very good places for breakfast within a 5-10 minutes walk (and for a lower price). There are small things that were not perfect in the suite but we certainly would still recommend it: The bath tub is a bit too high and the faucet a bit too close to the sink making them a bit uncomfortable. In addition, there was no WiFi in the suite.
Great location and special style hotel, big rooms and bath as well. friendly staff!
Room was not ready for us on time , not happy
We were supposed to receive the room by 4 PM We arrived 25 minutes earlier , but the room was not ready till about 5 PM (We had to wait in the garden after a day of hiking with only water as a compensation) When finally got the room the Bathroom floor was not clean as it should (The room and the rest were OK)
unique experience in a historic landmark
Staying at the Sergei Palace Hotel is a lovely experience, allowing travelers to sleep in an actual historic landmark without compromising convenience and comfort. Serving as a pension for pilgrims, rooms are big and spacious and have the charm of the turn of the century. The garden is simply charming, providing a quiet refuge from the bubbling city. Service was helpful and friendly, the hotel and rooms were spotless and inviting - well worth the visit.
Proffessional and friendly staff. delicious breakfast . Beautiful architecture design. Excellent location close to all amenities. Enjoyed our stay.
Quiet but very central
the hotel is in a central location to access both the Old City and New Jerusalem. Breakfast was ample and helped set you up for the day, if you want omelette or fried eggs just ask the staff. Issa was very helpful at breakfast times. Hotel was clean and house keeping was attentive to our needs. Anna and her team are helpful and friendly. Reception staff were in the most part helpful, especially Daniel who helped us to book bus tickets. The hotels restaurant is nice addition to the hotel. If you speak Russian i don't think there is anywhere else better for you to stay.
great hotel!
We enjoied our vacation very much. The room was very big, the staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was great! The hotel is located in a great place with plenty of nearby sites to visit.
This is a relatively new hotel in what was formerly a hostel for Russian pilgrims. It is an absolute gem and highly recommended. And the location is great, about a 10 minute walk to the Old City.
Comfortable room in a great location
Absolutely love the location! So cloaw to everything but quiet and isolated in the rhe comoiund. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was nice. We would happily stay her again.
The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Great location, very clean rooms
Great location, breakfast ok, service acceptable. Parking prohibitively expensive.
Very nice
Biutiful hotel very friendly, and helpful staff, only we get the room afternoon, and the check Aut , is in 10:00 morning it’s not good, the breakfast is poor
excellent location ,all important site in by walk
It was a very good experience, interesting yard garden we stayed several times during the day out of the room just stayed in the garden environment super relaxing, very good breakfast & warm hospitality
We loved this hotel and restaurant. Great buffet breakfast served outside in a beautiful garden. Superior staff. Location with in easy walking distance to Old City and Jaffa Center. The gift shop had great souvenirs for better prices than in other shops. 😊 Glad we stayed here!
Very well located and comfortable enough. Beautiful gardens. It didn’t feel like a hotel, more like a hostel for pilgrims
The hotel is new and beautiful. We liked the big, very clean rooms and the attentive service. We didn’t like the fact there was no and that the TV only had Arabic channels.
OK, with some character
Building is pretty from the outside with some historical significance and is the property of Russia. Staff in the dining area are quite friendly (Julia and the middle aged guy with glasses). However the general atmosphere is a bit cold and very Russian centric which may or may not appeal to some people. Rooms are sparse. Food was expensive and breakfast average at best. Wifi was poor.
the main thing was the friendliness of the staff. exceptional service. You dont finish to ask and it is already done/ The place is in the city center, yet quiet disturbed only by the birds. close to everything. IN SHORT A GEM!!!!!!!!
Hidden gem in Jerusalem
This hotel is a hidden gem in the middle of the city of Jerusalem. It is quite amazing to find such gardens in a hotel. All staff is friendly and reliable, in particular Hanni, who manages the dining services, and Sousanne, who supervises the room services. We liked very much the laidback yet professional attitude. Our room is spacious enough and the bathroom was big and comfortable. Wi-fi worked very well. Having a fridge and a safe box in the room is a plus. And the location could not be better. Jaffa Street is wonderful, and the hotel is a short walk to Old CIty. The restaurant Pergamon, half a block away on the same street, is really superb. We could not have asked for a better stay.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to the Shopping centre and the old city. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was clean fresh and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant has a great area for eating outside next to the garden courtyard and the food was good.
My favorite hotel ever
The room, the staff, the edifice, the gardens, the breakfast we're the best. I cannot wait to tell all my friends and return when I am in Jerusalem
