Good hotel but bad city for driving
Stayed here for the Mallorca Marathon. First mistake was renting a car. I expected a laid back tourist mentality but Palma is a typical European city with windy one way streets & no parking. The hotel does have a gated parking area but I’d suggest taking a taxi. The hotel itself was great
Hotels in the area are quite pricey and we only wanted to stay near Palma for 1 night. Staff very friendly and could not fault them. Thank you. You can walk to harbour area in 7 minutes. Bus route easy and parking plentiful. We booked a superior room - similar to travelodge in uk and was lovely at the end of the evening to have a glass of wine on our balcony. Breakfast was fine, fresh fruit (and tinned), nice coffee, i enjoyed the cheeses and meat breakfast. My husband had a more English breakfast Hotel v clean. Towels ragged. Overall ok - I just think €180 euros for a double quite pricey for what we had but that’s the prices near Palma. We found a tapas (recommended by hotel) nearby - Oh la la - many Spanish there - enjoyed it very much.
It was nice to have a room with terrace. However there is little privacy as it was overlooked by apartments and other hotels. In fact, residents in these building looked straight into my room. The hotel is down a residential side street and as such has no views and the surrounding buildings block out most of the direct sun. The hotel is somewhat dated and the room lacked comfort: hard plastic chairs and the bed too hard. Not much in the way of hotel facilities and as such the room rate is overpriced for what is essentially a budget hotel. I would only recommend it for overnight stays and not full vacations
Enjoyed our stay just for one night. Room clean and no issues.
Really nice hotel clean and loved the parking and the staff
For the amount of a room for one night it wasn’t value for money at all. Room very small as were the corridors. Having a room next to a exit meant every time someone went in and didn’t hold the door it slammed so after 1am it was horrible trying to stay asleep.
Great staff
Hreat staff very friendly. Beds comfy. Air conditioner needs a bit of work since rooms get very hot
Stayed one night to see more of Palma. Comfy bed and good shower. Walked to restaurant. Friendly staff and great breakfast.
Great hotel, great city.
Helpful and friendly check in. Room was impeccably clean and the balcony was a great addition which got the sun in the morning/noon with a great view of the sea and the city. Slightly out the city center but the 15/20 walk was no issue wrther it be down the sea front ot threw the streets.
The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood. Walking at night from the main strip to hotel felt safe. The hotel is a bit far from the main strip and required approx. 25 min walk. We used local transit to get us around. Staff at the hotel were kind and very helpful. We were helped with booking a taxi and our questions were answered about commuting around the area.
The hotel is not situated on a beach and therefore affordable. Staff is helpful.
Lovely Hotel
Room as described in itinerary. Friendly reception staff and lobby area welcominv.
Excellent hotel for the price. I had a lovely balcony room that was modern and clean. Lots of breakfast options.
Not quite in central town but easily walkable. Nice room and clean. Good value for price.
Good hotel, a bit off-centre
I only stayed 1 night and don't really have any complaints. Good room, well equipped and clean. The location is a bit off-centre in what feels like a residential area - but there are buses nearby. I chose it because it's closer to the port (some 20min walk) where I needed to be in the morning and it served the purpose.
Nice view from balcony!
Nice stay
Great little property on a side quiet street very near the port and the thriving nightlife just 5 minutes' away. Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable quiet room. Overpriced for the service you get, not even a pool, but hey! that's Palma during high season, everywhere is the same
Great place to stay
More like a boutique style hotel, the staff are absolutely brilliant. Made to feel very welcome. Maria, the Manageress was totally brilliant, helping with lots of aspects of travel, kindness toward husband on his birthday. Everyone took the extra mile to make the difference of a brilliant stay.Nothing was too much of a problem.
Overall really pleased - one problem we are sure we booked and paid for breakfast - the hotel had no knowledge of this - we were left with a bill for 98 euro for which we had no place in our budget - could you investigate this further
Fantastic hotel!
It is a very nice hotel! Friendly people, great rooms, very clean and also comfortable! For a 3-star hotel it is very great! It is not so far away from the next supermarket and also from the harbor and of course the city. For 9,80€ you can have a great breakfast! Also for people which are not staying at the hotel! It is a great place to stay!
Pleasant stay
Quite a way from the cathedral and surrounding areas, about 20 minute walk. You can get a bus for €1.50 to the centre though
Bit far from restaurants but the tourist bus stops just a few streets away.
Lovely small hotel with large rooms and a pleasant bar area.
Good for a short stay Clean and tidy Good breakfast
Fantastic, bit far away from city centre, but we already knew this. satisfied with everything!
Nice hotel. Well placed for the city. Easy access to public transport. Quiet area away from busy roads
Wonderful hotel, delightful staff, clean and tidy and also very comfortable.
Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Good hotel
Staff very helpful, hotel was a good 10min walk from marina but wasn't a problem would defo stay again
Great Hotel.
A great trip to which this hotel thanks to its staff, service and condition contributed a large of our enjoyment. Would highly recommend a stay here.
American couple visiting Palma for three nights. We wanted to stay within walking distance of the port and downtown area for sight seeing and this was great. Clean and convenient and on a quiet street. Only complaint is the AC was not cold enough but that could have been my room (203). Thanks
Chilled out Hotel
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel,i stayed with my 14 yr old Daughter. The check was very quick and easy and staff were on hand to answer any questions. The room was cleaned daily and Towels changed.
Dirty hotel
From the beginning we found our room really dirty, starting with stranger hairs, dirty and broken towels ( we couldn’t have a shower our first night) , we found aswell stains in the beds and the flor was also dirty, we spoke with the managers a couple of times during the next days, and they promised us they will solve the problem, but it wasn’t the case, everything was even worst day by day, we felt ignored and cheated. We booked this hotel just for having a room clean, and never was the case. We paid more than 500€ for 4 nights and we couldn’t enjoy at all due to this problems. We found blood stains in the pillow, they changed the sheets but they put dirty ones again. It was frustrated, everyday we need to clean our feet’s after the shower because the floor was really dirty. It was a shame and the manager couldn’t solve this basic problem. My partner and my self are working as managers aswell for Hilton and we found this customer service like a joke. We couldn’t enjoy our holidays. We expect a prompt answer with a solution for this, because despite of we spoke everyday with the hotel they did it even worst every day. Was really annoying, frustrantes and exhausted. Kind Regards Alejandro Aguilar
Good value for money.
Good value for money. Easy access to the tourist bus. Also easy enough to walk along the front to the main tourist attractions.
Nice stay.
Good hotel. A bit away from main tourist attractions and if you need parking secure it with hotel prior to arrival as it is limited. Clean well appointed room with nice quality sheets and large bathroom. WiFi free but very weak. Nice breakfast buffet for 9 Euros extra. Delicious coffee and urn of hot milk.
Friendly staff. Room was ok for a budget hotel. The aircon did not work.
Nice small hotel near castle
The hotel was nice and clean with friendly reception staff. If you have a lot of luggage, use a taxi. If not, if you take bus 1, you have to walk 5 min to hotel. A 10 minute hike to castle and restaurants nearby.
Palma
Very comfortable hotel in quiet location. Good eating options nearby. Helpful staff & easy economic parking option in hotel car park.
Good location tucked away in peaceful residential street but good access to local bus service and local restaurants
They had overboking and moved me to another hotel even if my room was prepaid. the new hotel was ok but the location not walking distance to my congress
Great hotel nice rooms quite and all you need very nice breakfast
Aircon was not working.
Little Gem
This was our second stay and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were all great very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was pitched just right and had something for everyone. Once you get your bearings you realise just how central to everything this hotel is.
Short Leisure Stay
Hotel is 10 minutes uphill walk from airport bus stop/waterfront and about 20 minutes walk into town centre, although a local bus stop is 2 minutes away. Get a taxi if you struggle with cases. Immediate neighbourhood is quiet and interesting, main road feels a bit rundown but never felt unsafe. Loads of eateries and shops nearby. Paid for an upgrade to balcony room but room offered was low down at the rear and had no view or sun. They changed it for a smaller but nicer one at the front however. Higher up rooms presumably have the best views. Comfortable bed, bathroom showing age a bit but did include a good size bath and not just a shower. WiFi slow. Excellent breakfast. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Overall decent value for money in an expensive city, I would stay there again.
Good hotel quiet location
good value, helpful staff. Breakfast is very good, fresh fruit, bread continental cheese/meats. Also bacon egg/beans etc.
Fantastic arrival
We landed very early in the morning so headed to hotel to drop off our luggage We were met by a very helpful young lady who said our room was ready and we could check in -fantastic she then spent ages with us explaining the area (in excellent English) the places to visit, the restaurants , how to get there gave us a detailed map and was just wonderful and couldn't do enough to help us -very impressed. The hotel was a short walk to town in a quiet neighbourhood with fantastic views from our always clean room. Would highly recommend for a short stay break. My only criticism is it would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room Thank you Hotel Zurbaran
Convenient Price and Convenient Location
This hotel was nice and clean, but the staff really set it apart for me. Both Maria and David were incredibly helpful and informative and made our stay well worth it. The room itself was just enough for two people, but the walls were very thin and unfortunately, our noisy neighbors kept us awake the first night. I would stay here again because of the value, but would ask to be placed away from other guests. Other than the noise, the stay was comfortable and a delight.
Palma, Majorca
Overall, the hotel is fine. Clean basic room. Location wise it is in a very quite residential area. Palma is easily accessible by bus.
Nice quiet hotel easy access to transport abd food
Me and my boyfriend stayed their for 9nights and it was very impressive knowing its only a 3star hotel. Bed was comfortable but the interent was not the best but other than that it is a very beautiful modern hotel with easy access to food and transport links to the beach and the main attractions
Friendly staff and super rooms
Just perfect, really helpful staff, air con, clean rooms, great showers and quiet location.
Quiet stay away from the crowd.
A small hotel without a pool and a little tugged away from the Main Street. It was however very quiet if that what you prefer. The breakfast is good for choices.
Business stay in Palma Mallorca
Clean room, nice breakfast buffet, reliable wifi and very friendly staff
We were especially impressed with the breakfast facilities, the room was clean and bright with tablecloths. The buffet was varied and plentiful. I've not had such good coffee in other hotels. Only downside was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. Every night we were awoken by loud talking and laughing and the sound of doors slamming.
spring break - hotel zurbaran, palma, majorca.
we enjoyed our stay at the zurbaran. staff were very friendly and spoke very good english. hotel was a little bit out of the way so found it a little bit difficult to find when we got off the no. 1 bus from the airport. breakfast was good and overall we had a good stay.
Cheap and Convenience. You get what you paid for.
I booked this hotel because we had a conference at nearby location. This is the only hotel we found cheap around the location and no matter what, we had to stay there. Employees are so nice and friendly. Rooms are not too big but OK. Bathroom is clean. Daily housekeeping is great and did a good job. Wifi is not super-fast but OK. They got 24/7 bar open but there are plenty of locations around in the area. Breakfast is really worth for the money BUT they have same menu every day. We stayed there 7 days but almost breakfast menu is same. Location is quite and no loud noises. Absolutely you get what you paid for. Recommend if anybody is looking for cheap and convenience place to stay.
City Break Oct 16
Stayed for 4 nights as I had entered the Palma marathon. Room was compact but the balcony gave a little more space that we were able to utilise as the weather was sunny and hot. No problems with hot water/air con etc. and the bed was a decent size and comfortable.
Great breakfast
We had booked two separate one night stays at this hotel. The room was very pleasant, with balcony and the breakfast was delicious. The second visit, we were relocated to a sister hotel Joan Miro which was superior, with even better facilities.
Good hotel a little off the beaten track
The hotel is not much to look at form the outside, but has large clean, comfortable rooms. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Although it is a little off the beaten track, it is near an interesting castle, and some lovely local cafes/bars, where we were able to savour some lovely local cuisine. The Hotel is part of the Sercotel group, so we were also able to spend a day by the pool at its sister hotel with free transport there and back.
No perks, hot, loud, and mean staff
No fan , no AC, no free water, no free parking. Not a tourist neighborhood, so location offers nothing. When I checked out, they tried to charge me for double occupancy. This escalated into a big fight in front of other guests. They were trying to claim I had someone else in my room, which was nonsense. Still waiting for an apology. More likely they'll try to charge my credit card.
affordable price and clean room
Since It was weekend when I stayed parma, most of all hotol were booked. I finally found this hotel. room was clean and located in convenient. Howeve, I have one dissatisfavction. When I visit the reception to ask something, there was no staff. Even though, I called saff few times, finally no one come to reception.
Accessibility.
Specially chosen location away from busy streets. Walking to front and centre pleasant.
I staff, breakfast and room, everything was OK!

Short stay but quite pleased
It is within walkable distance from old town, and a stroll along the harbour makes that walk even more pleasant. Convenient for the dreaded walk to Bellver castle, because instead of following the long road, it is literally round the corner from Bellver street where stairs lead up to the castle in a very direct way. Hotel itself was quite nice, clean and although booked single room, ended up in one with twin bed so plenty of space, and even a small balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful, so although stayed only 3 nights so a limited contact with the hotel, it was a pleasant stay.
Nice hotel but small room
I was there for one night. The hotel location is good (take into account is a city hotel not a beach one) and service was extremely good. On the other hand, the room was quite small and the air conditioning was not very effective (which is a problem when there is 35+ degrees outside)
Good value for money
Nice hotel but in a poor location. Quite far from city centre.
Good for a one night stay.
Room was very clean, location was relatively quiet. No view. Breakfast with varied options.
Great few days in a great hotel and city!
On arrival the lady on reception was so welcoming, making us feel very relaxed from the off set. The room was very clean and the WiFi and air con we're excellent extras! The room didnt have tea and coffee facilities but we had brought our own kettle anyway! Balcony perfect for a drink and quick snack in the glorious Sun, was beautiful! The location was good with a short uphill walk from the marina promenade. Really good bus routes available but we walked to the city centre which only took half an hour at a leisurely pace. Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and come back again!!
Friendly stuff
What I liked the most was helpful and friendly stuff. Good location, 5 or 6 euros by taxi from the centre. Good breakfast. Only one thing I did not like that my bathroom was full of hair and dust.
Quiet backstreet hotel for a saty in Palma.
I booked this room for my Mum. The room was basic, but clean and quiet. Breakfast was great. The staff repaired a broken light fitting quickly and were always helpful.
Great spot
The only thing we didn't like about the room was that the temperature control didn't work very well, so at night we had to leave the door open so it didn't get too hot. Otherwise everything was fine. The staff was really friendly. One receptionist in particular helped us a lot, and explained everything very patiently in Spanish, marking our map and making restaurant recommendations.
very close to port and lovely walk to city
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Zurbaran - it is not suitable for older people as is uphill. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent and we found it very good value. Will certainly return if we go to Palma again.
Zurbaran - Palma de Mallorca
The hotel is close to the touristic area of Palma. The room was nothing special (e.g., 14" TV), however it was clean. Also, there was a balcony. The hotel is located in a very convenient location, as the bus stop is just 200 m far away.
Pleasant 3 star West of central Palma
Nice enough hotel. Some of the reception staff could maybe have been a bit friendlier, but they were ok and got things done on the whole. Not the best location, as a bit of a hike into town, but worth it in my view for the cost saving. Some people were there in groups and behaved a bit selfishly in that they were noisy and didn't seem to care about other guests. I guess this is always a risk in a smaller hotel, as any one group becomes a sizeable chunk of the total number of guests and is hard to overlook, eg in the breakfast room, if they 'take it over'. On the last night another group had a noisy party, and I don't think this should have been allowed to take place.
Clean hotel in terrible location.
The hotel itself is nice, clean and comfortable. However, the location is terrible. Up quite an incline and very far away from the main town. The area around the hotel is a little questionable too. Other than that, it was OK.
Good Budget HOTEL
This hotel is quaint, sitting on a back street in Palma. The rooms are simple and require a card to keep the A/C on. The staff are accommodating, and try to help resolve problems. The breakfast is acceptable but needs a faster turnover, and some items are not fresh. Overall a two star rating, IMO.
ok, but nothing special, 0 character
The location of the hotel is not very convienient and the facilities are pretty basic as for a 3 star hotel. fridge is not cold and the balcony small and unfinished.
Nothing special
I and my wife stayed in Zurbaran for approximately one week in May 2011. The hotel is rather mediocre. I would not call the hotel staff openly hostile, but they were neither particularly friendly, nor helpful. The receptionists seemed to be annoyed by any simple requests (like fix an air conditioner, or provide us with towels that the day maid forgot to provide us with, etc). Initially we got a pretty big room with a nice balcony. Instead of a one double bed that we have reserved we got two twin beds. In a couple of days we were able to move into a new room with a double bed. That room however was much smaller, there was no English cable channel, and the balcony was much smaller. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are kind of seedy, but not too bad. Since Palma de Mallorca is a relatively small town you can reach most destinations on foot. Public transportation is pretty efficient and easy to access from the hotel. Room service did not exist, which was just an inconvenience on one occasion. There was a free internet service in the room, which was a plus. Room interior was not too terrible, just with multiple small deficiencies (shower did not quite work, bathroom window did not quite open, etc). I am certain that we will visit Mallorca again, but I don't think I will be staying in Zurbaran next time.
Hidden Gem in Palma
This hotel was more than I expected! All three shifts of staff were really friendly & helpful and spoke english. I will stay here again when I come. Walking around this city, I recommend-see a lot (or can take city bus to city center). How to get from PMI airport to hotel: take Bus 1 to Paseo Mallorca & Av Jaume III streets, walk a block-(across the street from El Corte Englais store to bus stop) Bus 3, 20, or 46 to Joan Miro stop, then walk 2 blocks up hill and 1 block left to hotel in a nice, quiet neighborhood (only costs approx 4 Euros from airport to hotel). To get back to the airport walk 5 mins down to Autovia de Poniente Bus stop 1 (right next to port)-direct connect to airport!
Great location
This was a great place for a winter weekend in Palma. Close to restaurants, shops & bus stops and only a 15 minute walk from central Palma. Staff very friendly & breakfast OK. The only drawback was that as it was in the nightclub area, there were some guests returning in the early hours & making a noise. Take your earplugs & you won't notice it! Great reasonably priced hotel for couples & groups of friends.
Presentable, moderate hotel
Average hotel, relatively newly built (2000) with neutral decor. Rooms were an acceptable size, with a balcony which faced the next door building. Walls & doors were thin and not very soundproof so might be noisy during peak season. Location is good, in amongst the nicer back streets behind the marina's row of 70s & 80s blocks, and very near the park containing Bellver Castle. Local cafes, restaurants and shops are nearby, with tourist versions down by the marina. The number 1 airport bus runs along the marina, 5 minutes walk away. Other local buses (3 & 46) go closer. Otherwise about a 25 minute walk into town.
very nice stqy indeed
I wasn't quite sure what to expect as the neighbourhood leading up to the hotel was somewhat shady, but the hotel was fantastic. Very modern, very friendly and helpful staff. It was located very close to many gay bars/clubs/restaurants so it made it easy for me to walk there.
Great hotel tucked away 100m from waterfront
Not the easiest place to find - get a cab - as it's tucked away off the main routes, but it's quiet at night. Reception staff very helpful. Breakfast was a bit tricky as there was a large party of Swedish Golfers, who got there just before us each day and made it very busy - the staff struggled to cope. Much better on the last day when the hotel was quieter. Food was good. Close to bus routes which can take you all the necessary attractions and a short walk to some decent waterfront restaurants. There are better ones near in the main part of the city, which is a good walk or short bus/taxi ride
Just what we wanted ....
For our week's stay in Palma, we wanted a no-frills but clean, comfortable and well-placed hotel on a b+b basis. The Zurbaran was exactly this, out-of-centre but in easy walking distance -say 15/20 mins - (or bus travel) of the old part of Palma, which itself is a wonderful city to explore on foot. The hotel is also a short walk from the famous castle and its grounds which are well worth visiting and give wonderful views of much of Palma. Very good breakfast - plenty of choice - in modest but very clean and well serviced dining room. Overall, we felt it was good value and we would be very happy to go back.
God oplevelse
Pænt hotel. Fin rengøring og venligt personale. Sengen var lidt for blød. Ikke at anbefale til parfumeallergikere
Bättre än man kunde ana
Mycket positiv upplevelse.
Great value for money
Great value for money
El personal de recepción super amables todos, super céntrico cerca de todo, sobre todo del castillo de Bell ver entrada a solo unos metros
Fantastic service😀our plane leaves later ,he fixed so we could store our bags ,use shower and pool at their other hotel👍

The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good for the price and had lots of options. Parking was available in a lot down the street.
