Other than the transportation, the staff was not very friendly or accommodating. We used our room bottles water and facecloths and they were not replaced. I called and asked for more water and never received it.
Friendly staff, drinks were great, food was average.
Mediocre for the money
Mediocre for the money. Room was decent, food and drink were meh.
We had a great experience and the staff really made our trip even better! After one day they remembered our names and knew our drink orders! We plan to come back very soon
Beautiful site! Wonderful experience. Some of the rooms were far away from the main area but we lucked out and were very close. Staff friendly, fun, attentive. Made so many new friends. Dining menus signified foods containing gluten or dairy which I appreciated immensely.
Very quiet property with limited food options. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Great services
Staff very friendly and courteous. Place needs updating-rooms, outdoor buildings. Dining options average.
Very nice place to stay. Great service and beautiful area
The setting was lovely. The people were very friendly and helpful. The common areas needed to be updated and redone. The pool area needed to be redone. The food was mediocre.
Very secluded and safe. Too far from town and shopping. No hotel transportation. Taxi costs about 75.00 round trip.
Beautiful location, room with wonderful view, but with room service as major option, expected more than a tiny table with one chair. Room service advertised as 24/7, but ended at 2130 in reality. Location with nice views, but so hilly and steep, shuttle service a must, sometimes excellent, sometimes a wait. Room refresh daily mixed, didn't refresh mini bar (if you can call it that), not all towels always replaced. Strange. Staff all super friendly and worked hard to please, but the room service issues never were fixed. Small pools, limited restaurants, esp for non preferred status guests. High pressure sales for Unlimited vacation club. Excursions nice, a wee bit costly, but good, though lotsa driving to get anywhere. Not my favorite Secrets experience, liked Jamaica better, but that was pre pandemic, so who knows
Check-in was chaos, 3 different people coming at us talking all at once, "Preferred" check-in area, more chaos, had to wait for one of the 5 people there could check us in. Angie was rude, focused on getting payment. I thought I had already paid a deposit and she challenged me for confirmation. Never had I had to pay for a hotel prior to check out. I was wearing dress linen shorts and was not allowed in Portofino. Fabrizio, the waiter seemed to be in a rush, had no clue what a mocktail was and did not care to explain available rum choices. Said they were the same rums as everywhere else in the hotel. Dealing with staff, always seemed that it was everyone’s first day or that they had never been asked for hot milk for the coffee, or put lots of ice in a drink, or bring the entire can of coke to the table. Something as simple as asking for a shuttle and have our rental car brought to the lobby seemed to cause confusion. I know English is not the first language, it seemed that the people did not clearly understand. I speak Spanish and even then it was very hard to communicate. The food was meh, felt pre-prepared and no effort to make it look or taste good, except for the Seaside Grill, that was the one positive about the food. Hotel was dilapidated, the grounds not landscaped, pool straight out of the ‘70s. Making teppanyaki reservation was super hard. Zero Attention to Detail, zero customer service, spelling errors and inconsistent translations everywhere. Disappointed.
What we liked: rooms are separate which provides privacy. Very comfortable bed and A/C runs all night. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Suggestions for improvement: food tends to be on the salty side especially at Himitsu. Nightly live entertainment is great but after they are done, have a lively DJ towards the end of the evening by the bar.
All of the staff was amazing! Very pleasant
Our stay at Secrets Papagayo was superb. The staff and especially the manager were fantastic. We had a minor issue with our room lock after check in but ther hotel staff were there within literally 3-4 minutes and got us in. Although it turned out that they had to replace the whole lock, the locksmith was there within 5 minutes and everything was handled professionally. The property is fun to walk around and explore and there are a lot of outside excursions. We booked a couples massage for the spa and had excellent massages by the staff. We had a Junior Suite with Plunge pool and the views were magnificent. The scene around the main pool is lively with music and dancing but our room location up on a bluff was very quiet and peaceful. The food in the restaurants was varied and very good. My wife had sashimi at the Asian restaurant and said it was very fresh and delicious. The mushroom risotto in the Italian restaurant was also excellent. We ate most of our breakfasts and lunches at the healthy food restaurant next to the spa and the meals there were all freshly made and delicious. The spa has a separate pool area that is meant to be a quiet pool and we spent most mornings there. The bartenders seem to be able to mix any drink you can think of and room service will bring some drinks to your room (selected from a list). There are daily activities like dance lessons. They have 2 pickleball courts which weren’t busy at all. Overall, we had a great time and were sorry to leave.
The views from every part of the property—room, dining, pool, and beach—were amazing! The staff was authentically kind and accommodating and made us feel at home. We will definitely return.
Excellent service at this property. All staff were genuinely friendly and provided prompt service. Resort has beautiful bay and luscious landscaped multi-level grounds. Rooms are situated in small duplexes or four-plexes, providing additional privacy. Very lovely vacation spot!
Food was well below average. This was our first all inclusive experience and it fell way short of our expectations. We would not recommend this property or experience to anyone.
Beautiful, safe place to stay. Dining options were limited but the quality of the food at each one was great. (This is probably by their design.)
Food was excellent. Staff was excellent .
Excellent resort, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, great food and drinks, Secrets always delivers. The Staff at this resort go above and beyond expectations to make sure our stay was excellent.
Nice resort
Resort was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Food was to be expected for an all inclusive, mediocre at times but ok in certain restaurants. Be prepared to wait for transports but not extended times. You can walk but in the heat, not recommended. Beach is nice but don’t expect Caribbean blues or white sand.
Staff was phenomenal! Property was very lush and beautiful. Our room was very clean and comfortable..
We stayed for 11 nights in December and there were areas that were excellent and others lacking. The resort is low key and spread over the hillside, they do have shuttles running non stop, but if you don’t want to wait and ride be prepared for hilly walks. Definitely bring mosquito spray. Ocean access in a very calm bay, mix of sands but not used much, beach is public so be aware. Wait staff and bar staff were amazing special mention to Armando in portfofino restaurant and bartenders William and Ronnie. Entertainment crew was great really enjoyed the water aerobics. Food at specialty restaurants Portfino-Italian, Himitsu-Asian, Aqua-lighter meals, was all very good. Seaside grill was disappointing, protein over cooked, sauces and sides as ordered were missing and service lacking. Buffet okay. Grounds very well tended. Con’s, property is showing age in areas. The hot water system at peak times 3-5pm daily could not keep up with demand. Was also smell of sewage some nights. Our a/c unit malfunctioned and leaked water. It was repaired quickly but we did lose a night of sleep as it broke overnight. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Lounge chairs in spa area need replacing, many had broken welds, rust, and should not have been in use. Resort is in isolated area so don’t expect to walk to amenities, not a negative, but important to know and be aware driving can be an issue due to the highway you need to access to get to volcanoes and other sites backing up badly morning and evening.
The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They were so happy to have us there at their resort and made our trip relaxing.
Absolutely gorgeous property and friendly staff and food was above average. Unfortunately, everything else was a miss. Beach is pretty much none existent unless you like 'muddy' sand. Mirky water and jetskis flying around you and smelling like gasoline fuel. Getting around was difficult, if you have leg issues look elsewhere. A lot of uphill and downhill, you pretty much have to take a shuttle from your room to the main areas and sometimes waiting 10 to 15 minutes for a shuttle. Most things s above and beyond your included cost is expensive, but we already knew Costa Rica wasn't one of the inexpensive destinations. As a high end Secreta brand, small thing s we are use to from other brands of this caliber was it included in this resort ie. Transfer to airport is extra, really? Top shelf alcohol, unless you pay for Preferred status, I despise this mentality, people who can't afford that extra gets push to the back of the line like restaurant reservations. Tipping, we come from resorts that cost the same that has a no tipping policy, tipping creates favoritism again, level the playing field, this works sooo much better. Costa Rica is a absolutely gorgeous country, the excursions is where it's at to experience the country, unfortunately this resorts falls short of a few things we are used to in this category of a higher end adult all inclusive. Too bad, We really wanted to love this resort.
Loved this resort.. very friendly staff and great food
Great place, but a one time only place for me
The hotel is on a beautiful beach property, its absolutely gorgeous. The service wqs amazing. Drinks were good food was ok but im an extremely picky eater, its hard to please me when ut comes to food so for other's it may be outstanding. This will be my only visit though. The rooms especially those with the beach view, sit up on hills with a steep incline. You can wait for a ride to come and pick you up which on several occasions didnt come or where extremely slow or you are can walk down the steep hill. For those with physical limitations, that wont work. Im in pretty good shape but walking the hills were even rough for me. When its raining they dont want to send transportation up because its dangerous, but its dangerous for you to walk too because you could eassily slip and fall, so not something i would want to deal with again. But its definitely worth it for the experience at least once because staff, service and the asthetics of the place are amazing!
Great relaxing getaway perfect for couples that want to have a good time without children! We definitely recommend for a more laid back stay!
Prior to our stay, I had read so many negative reviews mentioning the food, cost of excursions, steep hills the resort is built on, etc. It is truly unfortunate how hard it is to please some people. This was not our experience at all. There are so many options for food where you’re bound to find something you like, and despite negative reviews, the breakfast at Market Café was amazing with so many options including a chef making omelets to-order and a staff member making smoothies with your choice of ingredients. Excursions with AmStar on site were very reasonably priced considering everything that is included. The steep hills of the resort - yes, are very steep. However, this is what makes the resort so unique and beautiful! All of these levels and layers to the grounds and bungalows. Not to mention their shuttle crew is super quick to pick you up and take you anywhere you want to go on the resort. Every. single. staff member was gracious, kind, helpful, and always going above and beyond. We’re already booking our trip next year!
Secrets Papagayo is a beautiful resort with exceptional hospitality and stunning views. While there were some areas that fell short, such as the lack of authentic local cuisine and a few issues with staff and excursion representation, the overall experience was enjoyable. I would recommend this resort to others, but with the caveat that they should be aware of its limitations and make an informed decision based on their preferences.
Great place
Great service provided by many of the staff members but specifically Randy and Adrian by the main pool and William the bartender. They all had excellent service and were so kind. However, Marcos driving one of the shuttle buses made us feel extremely uncomfortable by lecturing us about having to wait outside for the shuttle after leaving us waiting outside for 30 minutes and then he proceeded to stare us down for a tip after said lecture.
Location was beautiful. Staff were always friendly and helpful.
Staff was friendly and great. Their shuttle system and phone system is so easy to use. The resort is hilly and beautiful. Our private plunge pool really made our stay extra special. The gift shop at the hotel is very expensive and does not have common items like Advil, so make sure you bring those type things from home. It was an amazing place for a honeymoon. The spa was incredible and they have one pool that is just for relaxation on one side of the resort.
My wife and I went to this property to meet with two other couples for vacation (one being my sister and brother-in-law). We had previously been to Secrets Playa Mujeres (which was awesome). This one was beautiful, set amongst the rainforest and within a bay/cove. The downside of the resort was the hills (which were insanely steep…taking shuttles from the pool/beach to your room is pretty much a must), and maybe this sounds boujee, but the amount of ants in the room was insane Lol Other than that, the food was good, pool vibes were great, and the view was stunning!
We went in July, the weather was perfect, the facilities were very clean, not crowded. Dinners were delicious. BUT, they constantly ran out of liquor, no beer one morning, no Gin or Tequila (at all another time). For an all inclusive to be constantly running out of liquor seems unreasonable. BUT, I would stay again knowing this.
Disappointing
Not what we expected from a 5 star hotel. Except for the beautiful setting on the beach everything else is a miss. Few examples: room smell of mold (we changed a room but even next one had mold), the claim there are 5 restaurants is highly misleading as the hotel closes restaurants and bars for events(weddings), service along pool is sketchy, pool bars are closed early, except for Italian restaurant food is below average, yoga instructor didn’t show up one day, you depend on rides to your room and in the evening you can wait a long time to get from the dinning area to your room, you need to ask for basic stuff like turndown service which should be done implicitly if the hotel really wanted to service its guests. We came to this hotel after staying at 4 other 5 star properties in Costa Rica during our 2 week trip and all of them were very good so this is why we were so disappointed given it was at a higher price point as well.
Amazing experience !! Everything is really nice.
We absolutely loved staying at Secrets Papagayo for our honeymoon. It was beautiful, clean, full of fun activities and the staff was incredible. We will definitely be back, as this is an excellent all inclusive to stay at.
Very nice resort, staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautiful, the grounds of the resort are very well maintained and the food options are plentiful ! Really a great time at the resort and a perfect place to spend time on your honeymoon!
Location is beautiful, great views, only minor issue is very hilly and shuttle time could be improved but overall beautiful and enjoyable.
Had a wonderful stay but when I asked if they could do a load a laundry they said yes but did not tell me 1 load would cost $110!!!!! That was totally unacceptable
I really loved the location and I’ll definitely go again!
Wonderful, luxury adults only resort. Wonderful staff, amazing food. Never crowded or too busy.
Please discount my review since I’m not an all-inclusive person. This resort is great for older folks or folks who enjoy staying in one place. The staff are amazing and kind. It is very hilly so this isn’t the place for you if you have mobility problems.
very small resort, Food not very good, it is suppose to be all inclusive but they are constantly trying to up sell you on something. Beach is not very nice. If you are a smoker the only place to smoke is on the Beach, yet they are always trying to sell you cigars. Room was not luxury status and the cleaning was not the best.
The setting is gorgeous. The property, however, needs some safety upgrades (better lighting, better gutters/drainage system, and handrails along stairs). Also, we paid for "preferred" status but noticed little difference from non preferred status
never again
Would not choose to stay here again. I was especially disappointed with the check in process at Secrets Papagayo. We just travelled up from the Westin Playa Conchal which was super efficient whereas when we got to the property gate, the gentleman here could not even find my name though the one at the main lobby could. In addition, we waited a while to be taken to the Preferred Club where we were checked in by Angelica. She was not friendly or seemed at all interested in us. We then waited 25mins for a shuttle to be taken to our room. After 10mins of waiting my husband asked her how long it would be- she said she didn't know. In this timeframe, two other shuttles picked up people from outside. For us to have booked a Preferred Club room, there is nothing that feels "preferred". The price currently does not seem justified based on the service received. In addition, we met Yalmar with the VIP team on the 2nd day and he took my husband's phone number down and said he would What's App him so we could get in touch with any issues and we never heard from him again. Also, the housekeeping team was really sloppy. Usually, they would tidy up toiletries, etc- I returned to see toiletries in the same mess I left them in. They also took our dirty towels but never gave us clean ones until I called reception. Also, we used up the tissues in the tissue box and I don't think they even looked to see if it needed refilling as it wasn't refilled for the rest of our stay.
The property is very nice with beautiful views of the gulf of Papagayo. The staff was very professional & courteous
If you love staying at secrets resorts then secrets papagayo is worth staying at. The staff is very polite, the resort is gorgeous and secluded. If you are looking for more of a party resort or secrets vacation then I would definitely not choose this secrets papagayo as it is mostly couples and is relatively quiet.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Place is very clean and the food is the best.
This resort is wonderful. It is built into the landscape not plopped onto it. Staff is all very helpful and attentive, they are willing to do whatever they can to make your stay wonderful. I cant say enough good things about the country, the resort, and the people.
Best all inclusive i’ve been to so far. Food was amazing and the property is beautiful… only downside is the beach and the scammers who sit down there waiting for their prey. They literally won’t stop talking to you.
It would have been nice to have an enclosed bar area away from the pool area to sit and have a drink before/after dinner. Everything is centered around the main pool. A big shout out to Henry and Gary, the daytime and nighttime bar tenders at the main pool. They made the trip awesome.
This resort was gorgeous all around. Staff was the friendliest I've encountered on vacation. The resort never felt too crowded, The food was delicious. They put on great performances nightly, The beatles tribune was the best I've seen in a while! Karaoke night was an experience. Even with the pool being closed at 7pm, My husband and I were never bored. Will definitely be back in the future. Pura Vida!
We paid US 1,146.00 for one night (beachfront) for our 25th wedding anniversary. Property is dated, beach is terrible, small pool with lots of noise and loud music. Room ok but not high end at all. Food was good though. Just not worth the price we paid for, it should have been 400-500$/ night max. We stayed in very high end hotels before, this is not one of those. Complete rip off.
Overall a nice resort and we had a good vacation.
Amazing service. The staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We had an especially lovely interaction with a staff named Armando who set us up with a lovely honeymoon dinner celebration in one of the restaurants. The property is beautiful. Lots of luxurious options - such as lobster Benedict for breakfast. 10/10 recommend this resort!
Everything was fabulous and the staff went above and beyond!
Friendliest People, Worst food
The people in Costa Rica and staff at Secrets Papagayo are so friendly and wonderful. The food at the resort was barely edible. It seemed like everything was just microwaved frozen food. The resort is very quiet and pretty, but seems like they are behind on some upkeep. The pool/beach furniture was run down and things like porch railings needed attention. We rented a car one day just so we could drive somewhere else to eat! Costa Rican food is so good, I wish they would just serve that!!
Everything was nice. The check in process was annoying went from one building to another and then back and then had to go to another place to schedule covid test. The food was good but nothing we ate was out of this world.
Great stay! Secrets is a couple based resort.
Friendliest staff I’ve seen! Great food!
I am a big fan of Secrets Resorts having been to others in the Caribbean but this one was not up to their normal standard. The Staff were great but the resort felt crowded as though they had tried to fit all their usual facilities into a much smaller space. For example there were two bars within 100 feet of each other and in the evening one would have music but there were only a few chairs so it was impossible to sit and listen. The resort also felt neglected as many of the pool umbrellas were damaged and not working, not like Secrets at all. Also the food choices seemed very limited compared to other Secrets resorts.
Not only was the hotel beautiful, so many different options for food activities everyday and night but most of all the staff was impeccable . Every single person was so kind and pleasant ! I would go back and recommend anyone who wants to go to Costa Rica to stay here.
Great hospitality, excellent service, frustrated by inconsistency in room service, lack of towels, dress code at Japanese restaurant.
Great Adults only resort close to Liberia Airport
Very clean resort with excellent service!!! Ari and the whole entertainment staff go above and beyond to get you involved and enjoy in the fun. During the day the Pool bar is the main hub of laughter. Henry & Eduardo are the best mixologists, also Victor and the rest of the guys are great. Hugo provides excellent food and drink chair service. Night time lounge bar features William, always on point!!!
Best ever
Wonderful, romantic trip! Excellent food, service, clean… cannot wait yo go back.
If you’ve been to a Secrets resort before this place will be a let down. The food was ok at best and the Secrets model seemed to be jammed in to a space too small to fit it all. That being said it’s a beautiful property in a beautiful setting with comfortable rooms that have great view……… I still wouldn’t return as it wasn’t worth the money.
Pool Lounge chairs need to be replaced as the material is to stretched and worn leaving one to sink into the stretched dip making it very uncomfortable. Was not enough chairs from 10-3. Property needs spraying - was eaten alive by no-see-um flies pretty bad. Was not allowed to use kayaks and paddleboards in the morning due to some wind even when i said i was experienced and will stay in the bay close to shore out of the wind. Otherwise, service was great. Had trouble understanding heavy accents tho. Food was good and grounds were beautiful. Was not offered daily bottle of sparkling wine or room upgrade. Staff customer service was excellent. Property way overpriced.
Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Nice pool area.
It is very quiet…. If you are looking for a peaceful stay then this is it. Not a lot of activities or music. Just sun and relaxation. Good options very limited and not a lot of variety. Simple compared to other 4/5 star resorts I have been too. It was not what I expected to be honest. It is very nicely kept and clean but too peaceful for my liking
Food not very good or choices of food.
The resort was the right size for us, dining options were just right. The entertainment staff was fantastic and inredibley talented - the evening shows for amazing. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our room was exactly as expected and a beautiful view. A few minor complaints - there were not enough pool chairs around either pool. If you weren't out at 6am you'd be lucky to get one. Also - as an all inclusive - if you're having a big Valentine's Day dinner - you shouldn't be upselling it for an extra fee. You can certainly upsell private dining on the beach or special bottles of wine, but the push for the valentine's dinner was unwelcome. Lastly - the push to sell memberships in their club (which isn't really a value) as soon as you get there was unncessary.
The Staff was awesome . They remembered your name and always tried to keep you happy. The pool area could have more chairs. People would fight over unoccupied chairs .
I got COVID - I know it was before i arrived, and the hotel put me up for the 10 days if quarantine for FREE. Put an amazing business with an amazing company I will never stay anywhere else they made something horrendous manageable and actually very luxurious
Room was great. Not as many food options as other Secrets resorts.
Pros: The wait and bar staff were absolutely amazing. They were very friendly and kind. The room had a nice view. The entertainment staff was very fun and engaging. They organized a lot of fun games throughout the day. Cons: Secrets uses a lot of deceptive sales practices and it was a turn off. When we first checked in at the Preferred Club, we were greeted by someone wearing the same uniform as everyone else and identifying themselves as VIP Services. We assumed he was part of the concierge. He told my husband he wanted to give him a birthday gift (spa treatment) and to come to a Welcome Breakfast the next day. This turned out to be a 3 hour sales presentation for some scam where they threatened to fire two employees, when we declined. It put a really bad taste in our mouths from the beginning. There were multiple other instances where they said items were included, but then after we used the service they said it would have only been included if we met certain conditions and acted surprised that no one explained that to us. The Preferred Club itself doesn’t offer very many perks, other than presumably better views. The beaches are rough, and they let street vendors lay on the Preferred Club daybeds. Overall, Costa Rica is a gorgeous country and we really love other brands of all-inclusive resorts, so we will be back to the country, but we will not be giving Secrets/Amstar our business again.
Was not prepared for the wildlife which resides in the property…in particular the raccoons which literally enter your room through the balcony!!
This place was nothing but amazing. We spent our honeymoon here and we felt like literal family. The people in this country really treat you like you’re apart of their families. We will be back!!!!! If you’re looking for amazing excursions we used frank the tank (look him up on Facebook) he’s also all over the secrets of papagayo group page. You will not get excursions like that anywhere! Very local we loved it!!!!
Stay away from this “ resort “ . Rooms really smalls, Costumer Service is bad, building outdated , Beach is dirty and ugly, food is tasteless , worst experience in CR !
Best service for an all inclusive hotel. All staff were very tentative. Great drink service by the pool and on the beach. The ocean was very swimmable. The waves were almost non existent since the property is located at a bay. The food was good quality for an all inclusive restaurant.
Amazing hotel. Beautiful setting and great service
Duplex cabins instead of a block of rooms makes for a great semi-secluded feeling! Absolutely beautiful layout.
The layout of the property was spread out felt like you had more privacy. Some might like it it’s a little walk to some of the rooms. They have shuttles that give rides. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks where great. I really like the no reservations needed for restaurants first come first serve. The only complaint would be the gym needs some updating. But I’m a gym rat so. Our party of 5 guests had a great stay. Will be back for sure
Amazing place to stay
Amazing place to stay. I was missing it as we drove through the gate. The food was great, the staff were amazing, the resort was beautiful. I love this place and can’t wait to go back
Nice but tired.
Very nice service. All the people that worked there seemed very helpful and friendly. Especially Henry at the relaxation pool bar. The property needs some TLC. The maintenance is below standard as many things just look worn and tired. Lots of broken roof tiles, pool could use plastering and numerous other little things like the pool chairs looked awful. Nice but with a better management group that had a better eye and maybe a bit more money for maintenance issues this property could be special.
GREEN GREEN AND MORE GREEN! What a beautiful Resort.....Beach is right in the backyard and the pool is also relaxing looking out towards Papagayo bay. Resort has a small 15 minute hike that was pretty relaxing, jet skis and ATVs for excursions and many more. My most favorite aspect of this resort was by far THEIR STAFF. Unbelievably nice and genuine people and i honestly felt that from them....they went above and beyond for us the 7 days we were there.
The people were very friendly and the resort was breathtaking! We had a view from our room, room service was on point, and they truly catered to all of our needs. Definitely recommend!
I liked the rooms and room service, really good variety. I did wish there were more restaurant options. I did not like the spa, there is a large generator that is very loud and doesn't make the sauna or indoor pool experience enjoyable. Also, the indoor massage room was hot and not enjoyable to be in for the couples massages, my husband and I ended up not doing our massages because the staff also arrived late.
The staff was amazing
The employees were very very nice and the service was great so this review is not a reflection of them. HOWEVER, THIS RESORT IS SO TACKY. It’s overly crowded and due for an update. If I were you, I’d just stay at the W in Conchal. We missed our flight and had to stay at secrets for a day and I hated every moment of it. The rooms are fine, but resort amenities need a serious remodel. You have to call and wait for a shuttle to get everywhere because the resort isn’t walkable. The food is very gross and low budget. And the drinks are very mediocre as well. On the bright side, the resort has entertainment and it’s pretty fun at night. The views are also nice. But don’t settle, kings/queens. Stay at the W.
Excellent all inclusive hotel
The facilities are excellent. The staff is very friendly and does everything possible to insure you are taken care of in every way. They offer on site entertainment by the staff and guest entertainers. They have 4 main restaurants on site, all very good except the Asian restaurant that needs to up the quality of their offerings.
The staff was amazing and always willing to help. Our view was great and the room very comfortable and clean. The food was also delicious.
Great property and all staff were beyond friendly. They provide activities for entertainment and for fun throughout the week. We only stayed Friday-Monday but wish we stayed longer.
I loved the facilities, the pools, and access to the beach. Everything was beautiful. The only thing that needs improvement is transportation - the area is very hilly so if you want a ride to your room from main area you need to call ahead. Other resorts in the area have golf cart style transportation that seats 6-8 people and passed by constantly. That is literally the only bummer, but everything else was paradise!
