Gorgeous property and friendly staff. Lots of options for dining. Not walkable to towns and limited night life.

Top Notch Service

A few friends met up to celebrate an upcoming wedding. The service from Secrets Bahía Mita was outstanding. They thought of everything so we didn’t have to. From the moment you step foot on their grounds to the final goodbyes as you leave, they are there for you. A few amazing team members stood out to us. Yessica and Tania from the Lobby bar and Victoriano from the Seaside Cafe made our stay so memorable. Thank you so much for everything!!!

We loved how every night they had something to do at the main plaza for entertainment! Also loved El Patio, Guillermo was the best!

Website claims it is all-Inclusive but it's not.Some food and drinks are available at ridiculous prices. Dreams guest were not supposed to be at Secrets but there were lots of them. Fantastik staff and check in and out was quick and smooth

For tourists, not travelers. Too big to be efficient. Lovely people working here though. Whoever does the customer service training did a great job.

Property was ok beach disappointing we were kept waiting at check in and then put into an awful room not corrected for a couple of days With exception of Bordeau restaurants were poor at best. Breakfast was excellent. The steak restaurant was the worst steak restaurant I have ever seen. Who wants to pay 144us per kilo for a rib eye. Was not happy. Even the fillet steak was tasteless.

The resort is beautiful!! The staff is great and the food is delicious. Loved the heated pools and Jacuzzis.

Couples paradise

We really enjoyed the multiple pools with lots of semi private areas & of course adults only. The food & beverage options checked our boxes too - quality liquor & several different food spots. Its a big, beautiful property. Staff is super friendly (thanks Ines) and really relaxed. We would certainly go back. Our room was very clean & comfortable.

Beautiful property. However, we did not stay beyond one night due to the noise from the attached family resort. This resort is advertised as adults only, but the property itself is largely family oriented with many young children enjoying the facilities. I would like to add that it was extremely difficult to leave the property without signing a non disclosure statement. I truly felt like a prisoner as my wife and I tried to leave the day we arrived after explaining our situation to several resort workers

Too big for my taste. Excellent Spa. Great Satff. Horrible welcome. Checkin took 45 minutes as they were pushy in trying to cash in on a room upgrade and then 2 hours pushing on trying to sell a membership. Rooms are big and very well designed… but noisy and the bathroom smells .

The staff are what makes this resort standout for me, they truly treat guests with kindness and service in the most friendly manner. There were so many Erika, Lulu, surf instructor, pool and beach servers and the New Year’s party was the best I have been to and that was because of the staff from set up, service to decor to the band incredible

Very little poolside music was played. After 12 for the water aerobics then it was shut off until 4 and played for 30 min. Pool activities were poor. The instructor for the water pole class did not know how to teach it. Offer something else if they don’t know how to teach the class. No fun pool party game: only water poker. Food was okay but buffet food was always very cold. The layout concept design was weird and a bit of a miss for us. Everything was situated in the middle with the very little separated dreams from secrets and they would either play music on one side or the other or there was nothing played at all on either side. We did not have a terrible time but we also would not go back to this resort.

Stayed at the property for a wedding. The hotel is beautiful and setting is amazing. Although the beach is very rocky so bring water shoes. The staff at every level were awesome! Lots of dining options - food was average.

We had a great experience on our honeymoon. Especially with chef Felipe, and our servers Julio and Fransisco. Only downfalls is that the beach isn’t as great as the pools, and there really isn’t anywhere to walk or any green space.

Our butler Omar mess was great . Our favorite restaurant Mesa great food and service Isley and chef Daniel were great .

We went for a quick honey moon, all the staff made sure to have details all around, the French restaurant is awesome! And since we’re tight on budget we fell for a “breakfast” to have a discounted spa session, it was a mistake!! We lost 2hrs on our arrival with the lady selling us this… the 3-4 in the breakfast, getting to talk with like 5-6 people, a regular breakfast in the buffet… waste of time, I would have paid the 100 USD they discounted instead of losing all this time… other than this, everything was awesome!

I like the property. The premium swimming pool has beautiful views, but if the hotel advertises for adults only, it should not have kids around in common areas or restaurants.

The preferred areas were too crowded, we had to wait up to an hour to be able to enjoy some of these "exclusive areas". The staff was not organized and we could see the stress on the face of the employees dealing with the guests. We even witnessed attitude issues in between employees. We agreed on a cleaning schedule but the staff did not respect it. We had an issue with one of the rooms, the main door wouldn't close at all. We reported the issue and once again they had us waiting for a long time. We stayed the 1st week of october, peak tourist season is supossed to be in between december and march. If we had to wait and staff was overwhelmed, i can't imagine this resort during high tourist season.

The property is beautiful, our room was nice with a view of the jungle. The hallway by our smelled like ammonia or cats if you will so that wasn’t great. Pools were nice but water was a bit murky so felt unclean. Beach area was quite nice as well as gym and activities all great. Food wise the breakfast buffet was very good and lunch by the Manatee pool was great. The dinner dining options varied from not impressive to decent. Overall a nice stay.

Excellent service, amazing food but, above all, the staff changes the experience. We chose the property for the location and facilities, but we will certainly come back because the staff.

I had my doubts staying at a Secrets but the property pictures look really nice and it was just a few days so decided to try it. Never again. The property is still under construction, at one point we had no running water and our first room the bathroom smelled like sewage. I was promised a refund but never got it. The staff appeared to be nice and helpful but clearly not authentic. Never again. They also try to sell you time share.

It was a good experience the hotel is beautiful the food drinks are A-1 nothing negative to say. & guy that works in secret his name Marvin David Lopez took care of us & help us a lot with hotel information

The property was beautiful and relaxing. It was our first experience at an all inclusive resort and it was exactly what we needed. I would say the only negative thing we have to say is that it’s not really adults only. The Dreams side is family and the Secrets side is adults only. But the family pools are in the middle. Some restaurants are adult only but not all of them. Our room over looked the family pools. There were a lot of children on the property. I don’t think it should be advertised as adults only.

Celebrated our 24th Anniversary here and it was such an amazing experience. The best restaurant for dinner was the french restaurant, Bordeaux! It was so delicious, we went twice!! Loved the ambience and food was incredible! We tried the other restaurants except for the buffet and the food and dining experience at each of them was exceptional. We booked the preferred club king junior suite and it was so comfortable, spacious, and quiet. The highlight of our stay was the service we received from our butler, Elizabeth B. We planned to play pickleball, but my wife forgot to bring her tennis shoes. We asked one of the staff at the preferred club front desk if there was a shopping mall close by and he connected us with Elizabeth. She asked for my wife's shoe size and offered to pick up and purchase them during her time off from work. We were blown away and so appreciative. She also went out of her way to surprise us by decorating our bed with rose petals spelling out "Happy Anniversary" along with balloons and a bottle of white wine. Overall, this place was amazing and thank you, Elizabeth,.for making our visit extra special!!!

Big property, plenty of restaurants and pool to go to, service is great, a very relaxing place if that is what you are looking for, only bad side if you like the beach, you will not be able to swim there, mainly surfing or paddle boarding, other than that, great place

Amazing property!!! Adults side (secrets) is worth the extra money. 6 night stay for my Bday with the wife was relaxing vibes no party animals getting wasted. Food was great and drink little sweet but ask for extra alcohol to balance them. Will recommend and hopefully we can stay here again soon!!

I felt very safe on my stay , Going out and in the property very well handle the check in and out from the stafff of hotel.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. I spent most of my time outside, and it was always clean, and staff always made sure we weren't short of anything. The food was very very good.

The property is advertised as Secrets and adult only. What is not publicized is that the same property shares most of the pools with Dreams, which is not adult only. The pools are situated so that children playing in the pools in the morning can be very clearly heard. We are not against families or children having fun, but we like to be festive until late in the evening and arise late in the morning. Our rest was interrupted every morning because of this. Additionally we were offended when they were pitching their time share and they asked if we were officially a couple to my girlfriend who is Spanish. There is a significant age difference between her and me. She later relayed to me that the manner of questioning was insinuating that she was an escort. (We have been a couple for 5 years). I did not know there was a special classification for ‘official couples’ or that maybe we need to obtain a special license for couples. We were like ‘this place is called Secrets, right? Why would they even ask?’ Again, it is a fine resort, great food, and free flowing alcohol, we just felt that the expectation set for ‘adults only’ was falsely represented. We will not return there.

We will not be returning to your Secrets location and will most definitely not be recommending this location to any of our colleagues. We have been to several Secrets locations in past years, most recently Cancun, and I never experienced vomiting and fever, among others, like I did at the Punta Mita location. Please be advised that I was informed that seeing a doctor would be an additional cost by our butler. This is the only reason why I opted to stay in my room and have a liquid diet for the entirety of the next day. Please also be advised that your insinuation that other factors might have been at play for my sickness is laughable. The symptoms I experienced (vomiting, fever, and diarrhea) are textbook definitions of food poisoning. I will contact corporate to address and discuss all of these issues, and to request they conduct a more thorough investigation.

Nice hotel but needs better quality control

Maintenance needed in room shower and in sinks, as water pressure is low. Minibar’s temperature is very low.

The staff was very friendly , but I felt they were short handed at the restaurants and the poolside . We had dinner at the Italian restaurant and my wife ordered ice cream for dessert and by the time we received it was all melted . We have stayed in many Secrets before and this is the first time we felt it was not to our expectations , I will say the sushi stand and the Olio restaurant on the 6th floor were very good .

Had an excellent stay. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and made the start even more fun. Rooms were gorgeous, and hotel facilities and restaurants were fantastic. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful property with some of the best views in the Peurto Vallarta area. The food and drinks were amazing. Luis at the swim up Manatee bar and Benito on the 6th floor were both really great at keeping us up on drinks. The only negative thing I can say are some of the pools were in need of a deep clean, with build up along the edges and one of them even had algae build up along the floor and floating around..Compared to other secrets and all inclusives we have stayed at, the activities and entertainment after dinner hours seemed to be lacking, with the entertainment staff not being very engaging. Otherwise, this resort was amazing and we would definitely return.

Wonderful food and service. The spa was amazing! They had some fun activities as well. The downside is the beach is small and rocky and the surf break was crowded. They also did not have a hot tub on the entire resort. The room plunge pools are cold water.

The property was well-situated for singles, couples, and families. If you booked your reservation with the Secrets all inclusive option you could eat at all 10 restaurants, the French restaurant was our favorite. We really enjoyed the house band every night as well as the on site entertainment offered. The beach access was awesome but the 8th floor pool access with service was the best. Thanks again Secrets, impressive.

Terrible staff. Rude people working at the front desk. If you don’t want to hear their long talk about their offers they treat you as if you’ve done something horrible to offend them EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR STAY. If you are looking for a quiet vacation and great food stay far away from here. Every area is really noisy and the food is edible but not good.

I stayed at Dreams shortly after it opened a few years ago. Some kinks needed to be worked out. I am happy to say that they were and I really enjoyed my stay this time. The elevator situation is still a little confusing but with stair cases that are clearly marked things we much better. I recommend.

Property is beautiful. Lots of construction near property so noise was a nuisance. I wish we were given a heads up about the construction. Room was ok. Definitely room for improvement. New hotel so once kinks are worked out we will definitively return.

This resort is absolutely beautiful and the service is amazing. The pictures you see on the website don’t do it justice. There are plenty of things to do at the resort and plenty of dining options. The only negative is that you’re about 45 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta, but it is easy to Uber if you want a day away from the resort. I would definitely stay here again!

We truly enjoyed the stay. Great food and great staff. They do push the timeshare sell too much in my opinion. They should have an area for it just for the folks that are interested in buying time share. I for one will never buy timeshare and nor do I want it. I would visit secrets again ! Love the staff and amenities

This hotel is AWESOME! Great service top quality food. Everyone at hotel goes above and beyond. I had issues that rented a vehicle chose the option to get it delivered to the hotel because they have a partnership with Avis. Avis never showed up to deliver the car my concierge immediately called got it fixed and leas than 30 min had my car delivered. They went above and beyond. At this hotel they want you hear about their vacation club but once you tell them no they don’t bug you anymore like in other places I stayed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone

Great hotel and staff!

Very nice hotel to stay at. All restaurants are great as well as breakfast. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. You can have fun and also relax. The beach is nice with surf option and other water sports.

The property was excellent and the staff from all department were great. There is nothing that we didnt like. Strongly recommended.

Management was uncaring! Southwest canceled my flight and the team was unwilling to refund a portion of the trip or change the dates! I paid Expedia extra for a cancelation policy but they could not do anything because the flight was canceled 2 hours prior to departure. I would have needed 3 days. The music from the pool is so loud you can hear it in your room. The beach is rocky and has strong currents at low tide. Be careful. There are much better properties in Puerta Vallarta to choose from.

Great customer service, we felt like at home. Food was delicious, facilities were very luxurious and impecable. We’re definitely coming back and obviously with Expedia. We got special treatment for coming with Expedia so we loved it.

Great location

Great location. Staff were super nice. The building was leaking every time it rained. The restaurants close regularly so ask which days so you can plan accordingly. The rooms with plunge pool on balcony are very loud bc the jets come on at 6am and cannot be turned off. We were not able to sleep past 6am. A/C was definitely not as functional as desired. Overall nice place, but wish A/C was better and jets didn’t wake us up at 6am.

Good food and location

I didn't like anything. Which is very sad

The property was nice, pools should have been cleaner. Staff asked us to get into our room while we were in in to spray for bugs which was odd. The concierge staff was very pushy and disrespectful and kind of ruined our experience, not sure if we would book this hotel again. Drinks were not very good either which was a disappointment but all the food was really good so they do have some good areas of service.

Everything was great, thank you Edson and Luis from the Secrets pool bar for their excelent service, Oscar G was great at guiding us through the facility. I will be going back for sure!.

The property was clean and modern. very pretty to look at. How ever, there are some major issues with this resort. If you are looking for child free resort do not book. Half the resort is child friendly, and the half that is supposed to be child free is seldomly enforced. There where frequently children at the restaurants that where 'adult only' also many of the activities on resort where child inclusive. Overall they hide on all their marketing that secrets (adults only) and dreams (family friendly) share the same building ... It's also not worth it to book a level of room that gets you into their "exclusive" areas, as anyone could walk into these due to a lack of a wrist band system, or any sort of checking. Often times the 8th floor 'preferred only' pool was the busiest on the resort. Another issue is that dining is very limited, as the restaurants are not open everyday, which in our case no one had told us. Also compared to other resorts there are very very very limited dining options if you have a restricted diet (let's say vegetarian) and staff is often annoyed with this fact. Beach was full of sharp rocks, they have a first aid kit on site for any beach volley ball because you will cut open your feet. You also can't really swim because it's so rough and sharp rocks. Staff is also ALWAYS trying to sell you extras every step of the way. Really defeats the point of an all inclusive. Spa was nice, wouldn't return to this resort

It’s ok not too bad

Every thing was great amazing xperience, the only thing that was not great was the fact that on the 3 days that i was ther emy room was cleaned only 1 time wich was disapointing for a hotel like this one.

El hotel está muy bonito. Tiene 2 años desde que lo abrieron, así que todo se ve nuevo. La habitación que escogimos está muy amplia, con unos muebles muy bonitos y el baño muy limpio. En la comida lo único que mejoraria sería el desayuno. Los demás restaurantes están súper bien.

Nice, but over priced for what they offer.

Nice property, but I would not spend what they charge for what they offer. You cannot go into the ocean. The check out process should have been a lot easier, being a Hyatt chain. The wait time to get into the restaurants was a bit too long, especially since the property was not fully booked. They should offer more premium alcohol options for the price you pay for the property. Room service food was just ok, it's best to order the night before to have a specific delivery time.

Hard to get around from room to dining locations

This is our second time staying (previously stayed on the dreams side) and it did not disappoint. The food is great, staff is amazing. Check in takes a while but other than that I have no complaints ! Secluded and safe.

Secrets resort in Baja Mita was amazing! Beautiful resort, excellent food and service! I am super picky and would definitely recommend this to friends and family! Attended a wedding at the resort and it was absolutely top notch!!

Enjoyed the general atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. The staff was always helpful and attentive, especially at the preferred club lounge on the 8th floor. The spa experience was superb...very relaxing, clean, and therapeutic, and the spa staff was great. Enjoyed the adults only pools and swim up bar. We spent a lot of our time on the 8th floor club where there weren't as many people and they have top shelf liquor available. The food was decent though at times a little overly salted. Some restaurants had better quality food than others. It was sometimes difficult to find food at a certain time; for an all-inclusive place, there should be more food availability and not so many time restrictions. We usually couldn't get served food on the 8th floor preferred club which was disappointing. The worst part of the experience was the "presentation" by Hyatt marketing to try and sell you a really expensive membership. They promised us 1.5 hours max and in exchange we were given discounts on cabana rental and spa treatment. We ended up spending 4 hours (and we weren't even slightly interested in buying). The staff is pretty pushy and will go on and on to try and sell you something. Avoid that unless you want to waste more of your vacation time. Overall, the resort is pretty good and probably worth the money for families, but young couples probably don't benefit much. Put your money to planning a more tailored experience where you can get better food no pushy sales people.

Beautiful property lots food options enjoyed all restaurants.Excellent service everywhere from the bars to restaurants and rooms were clean and well stocked everyday.A Expedia representative meet us at check-in her name was Cecy she was wonderful and was there if we needed anything and helped us get restaurant reservations! Thank you Expedia and Cecy for a wonderful vacation!
