A great place to stay. The included meals were superb. Our room with private deep soaking bath and the unobstructed sea view is awesome. Will definitely come back on our next visit.

Seaside location, delicious traditional breakfast in old world hotel. Hotels are clean but bathroom needs upgrading. Timescale all over sliding doors & in sink. Sides of onsen had visible algae on the sides, steps inside the onsen were slimy & slippery. Definitely requires upgrading

Getaway to Beppu!

Great location for strolling along the beach or promenade. Breakfast was delicious! Friendly and helpful staff.

Conveniently located next to esplanade & park. Nearby are convenience stores, supermarket & food court. Beppu station is around 800m away. The outdoor onsen on the rooftop is great which I prefer to the indoor one. Both are small but the rooftop one has better ambience especially in the evening. Room is spacious & bedding is comfortable.

Room and hotel was nice. Bathroom was very old, worn out, corroded shower door, horrible water pressure, damaged tub, gross floor. Basically bathroom needed to be renovated 10 years ago.

Fantastic view and great location

This retro hotel was great experience of staying that i really enjoyed onsen at balcony in my room, seeing ocean view simultaneously. Dinner and breakfast meals are luxurious, and location was very accessible to Beppu station, mall, and grocery stores.

Great ryokan! Beppu is a lovely city. Had a very positive experience at this ryokan. Rooms are nice and spacious, the onsen are amazing and good food (breakfast & dinner). If you have dietary requirements, be sure to tell the staff ahead of time. The area is easy to get around (walkable, trains, buses etc)

Difficult to communicate in English, Google translate always.

You cannot dine in the hotel (dinner or breakfast or lunch) as they informed you it is closed (which in order words, they are fully reserved), even if you are a hotel guest there. But you can walk to to nearby shopping streets and there are many restaurants there. But some will turn you away if you have no reservation, or simply no English menu or there are many people inside Guess that they are STILL trying to follow the pandemic measurements at this early stage of open-up

Smell of bad odours entering the room

The sea view room provides a nice view. The first thing we noticed when we entered the room was the bad smell from the separate bathroom and toilet. There was another sliding door separaring the beds from the entrance of the room. After closing the sliding door, we could not smell the bad odour. Once opening it, we could smell it again. The bed sheets are clean though.

Roof top onsen was nice with a great view of the bay. Dinner was excellent- maybe a bit too much food for us! The last night was a little disappointing. Would think they'd give us a memorable "send off"! Breakfast was typical Japanese fare. The bathrooms in the rooms can use some updating, as well as the vanity in the room. The futons and bedding took up a very large closet so there's less space in the room. The front desk was very helpful in answering questions and getting a bed for my elderly mother so she could get up easier in middle of night. The staff was very polite. Would definitely recommend this place!

Amazing room with an equally amazing in-room onsen tub with a stunning view. Only down side is the showing area is also outdoor where the onsen tub is. 😜 The halfboard dinner and breakfast were superb and deliciously filling.

We have to pay another 250 Yen each when check out for Osen Tax which we didnt expect as there is no description when we book a room

On the Way to Beppu Hells

The hotel is tired and needs some refurbishment. The was zero atmosphere in the hotel. Breakfast was an amazing Japanese-style meal. The hotel is conveniently located to Beppu station and to bus routes that go to the “Beppu Hells”.

booking issue and over charge - Please help

The overall stay is fine, however I having issue during check in , all this while I have set 4 person and 2 room , 2 person each room , however during the confirmation page I only enter 1 person name (which is main contact person) for each room During check in , hotel staff being told us they only receive 1 guess per room therefore they only prepare dinner and breakfast meal for 2 person , I have request pay additional changes for 2 person and the changes is based on normal rate which around 80% higher then listed form my initial booking, i have no choice but to accept it, at the same time I do immediately search on hotel.com again and I notice the price no different when i'm entering 2 person name in same room, therefore I feel i have over being overcharge on this, so i hope hotel.com or property management can investigate on this. At last I would like to please hotel staff service is great and friendly, but with same price I have paying there other better option on the same area

Great experience with some renovation need

Ryokan experience is very good. We have seaside view, spa relaxing. Except toilets and bathroom needs renovation.

Location and seaside view can't be more than better. Ryokan prepares 2 kinds of face washing goods, toner and lotion as well as shampoo, conditioner and body cleanser.

Awesome rooftop bath and spacious rooms with good heating. The breakfast was delicious too!

Great Japanese traditional style hotel

The staff are excellent. The root top onsen pool is amazing with a great view of the sunrise. The dinner and breakfast provided were also excellent.

The hotel is not far away from the coach and train stations. Enjoyed the good meals and hot spring public bath.

As the name said, it sits right beside the sea but still in the middle of the downtown. Staff are very helpful and the rooftop onsen has wonderful view. Hot spring's temperature was pretty hot too. It was pretty unique experience doing onsen on snowy day.

Ok ryokan

In spite of calling itself a ryokan, its style is more of a regular hotel than a ryokan. The food was ok, but overall ryokan experience could be better

The hot spring is very comfortable and is located on the rooftop with beautiful sea views. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and varied. The room is spacious, you can see Beppu Tower at night, and you can see the sea view and sunrise in the morning.

由開始入住服務直到早餐我和朋友非常滿意 check in 員工友善， 剛泊好車已即時趕來幫手。 房間向海， 風景很好， 我們有私人溫泉， 不過始終酒店有歷史，有點舊， 廁所門有點損毀。但從價錢看， 性價比高。 早餐食物滿意 早餐後，我們外出行donki， 因為我疏忽， 記錯check out 時間是11:00， 當我們大約10:30-10:45 回酒店時， 已有位中年女士企係房門前， 告訴我們check out時間係10:00， 當下我們已即時道歉， 亦打算入房間拎行李走， 但那位女士隨即欄住我唔俾我入房， 我朋友就入咗房， 她堅持要我跟她落去reception俾咗延遲退房錢， 我就話等我們拎埋行李會俾錢的亦明白我們錯誤。但她態度很差不停話我們遲咗。 最後只可以跟她落去俾了罰款， 那時真的很氣憤， 我亦用翻譯和她說， 叫佢不用這麼氣憤， 我們會俾錢 延遲退房只係2200 日元2 人， 我們真的俾唔到這錢嗎。 令我們這美好的別府行程， 留有遺憾

食事はよかったのですが、、

部屋に蚊がたくさんいて眠れなかった。 何か対策をとフロントに電話をしたら、部屋では使えない野外用の殺虫剤を持ってきました。 露天風呂つきのお部屋にしたのに、眠れず つかれる一日になり、高い宿泊費をだしたのに残念でなりません。 また露天風呂もなんの匂いかわかりませんが不快な匂いがあり、蜘蛛の巣があったりとメンテナンス？の悪いと感じ、気持ちよく入浴ができませんでした。 本当に残念な旅行になりました。

We chose the tatami room for it's attached private onsen.... But we are not comfortable sleeping on the floor... It was just for 1 night... Onsen was really good... Offset sleeping on the floor... Hahaha... The breakfast was superb...

酒店一定不是頂級，但絕對是性價比最強之選。

当日の朝、朝食のみのプランから夕食もつけてもらえるか問い合わせたところ、丁寧に対応してくださり、好印象です。 ご飯も美味しく、料理の説明も外国のスタッフが一生懸命説明してくださりこちらも好印象です。 2点気になったところは、女湯の洗い場と湯船が近くシャワーを使う時に湯船にとんでしまわないか気を使いました。もう少し離れているとよいです。 もう一点は、部屋のトイレの手洗いがこわれていて、手洗いを洗面所まで行かなくてはならず不便でした。あれは、直してほしいです。

벳푸여행 최고의 숙소~~

가족여행으로 2박하였습니다. 씨뷰룸으로 예약했고 바로 바다 앞이라 전망도 좋았습니다. 객실내부도 관리가 잘되어있고, 깨끗합니다. 특히 조식 석식 포함이었는데 조,석식 모두 너무 훌륭해서 가족 모두 만족하였습니다. 어느 비싼 료칸보다도 잘 나와서 깜놀했고 푸짐함과 맛도 훌륭했어요. 대중탕과 노천탕 또한 정말 깨끗하고 이용하기 편해서 좋았구요, 호텔 위치또한 최적이었습니다. 벳푸타워 바로 뒤에 있어서 따로 가지 않아도 되고 유메타운, 토키와백화점 , 돈키호테 모두 도보 5분이내 직원분들도 너무 친절하시고, 다음에 또 벳푸에 가면 무조건 이곳 재이용할 의사 200%입니다. 70대 어머니도 너무 좋다고 다시한번 가고 싶다고 하시네요 ^^ 덕분에 잘 지내다가 왔습니다.

四訪別府美松大江亭海濱日式旅館。設備或許不是最新潮的，但是CP值是最高的!

노천탕이 엄청 좋았습니다 겨울에 노천을 제대로 경험하고 왔네요 단 조식은 괜찮았는데 저녁은 입맛에 맞지 않았네요 그러나 가성비 대비 최고였고 방에서 바다뷰 전망과 일출은 너무 보기 좋았습니다

海景第一排，但地點好也代表是個老舊的旅館，不過屋內情況維持得不錯。 頂樓可以看海的浴池是一大特點。

この宿は、料理と屋上露天風呂からの眺めが最高なので、観光というより、宿でのんびり過ごすために訪れます。今まで多くの宿を利用しましたが、料理については、ここがダントツです。食堂にてグループごとに配膳してくれるスタイルですが、質、量、味どれも最高です。部屋食やバイキングがいい人には、おすすめできません。できるだけ空いている日程で、部屋は少々お金を多く払っても海側を選ぶべきです。露天風呂付きの部屋もありますが、料金がかなり高いことと、どうせ屋上の露天風呂を利用することになるので、私は海側の普通のへやにしています。空港行きのバスステーションもすぐ近くにあり、利便性も申し分ありません。

スタッフの対応も良く、清潔な施設で大満足。朝食付きで申込みました。湯豆腐に魚の干物、温泉たまご、サラダなど美味しく頂きました。大浴場に入りました。1人で貸切りだったのでゆったり出来ました＼(^o^)／
