Very large apartment style rooms, remodeled inside think IKEA , contemporary style, very very clean, staff very helpful, in old town where restaurants thrive and pedestrian style shopping district, great location to walk Catania and check out the sights!

Giuseppe and Emmanuel were so sweet and very helpful in guiding us to Destinations that were just beautiful. We loved our stay next to one of the last remaining city Squares; every morning the old Italian men would gather and talk that was so cool. The studio apartment size room was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. There was seating outside on the balcony with a view of the baroque style buildings. A blast from the past. We truly miss Catania and B&B Sciara Larmisi, shopping, eating and most of all the Italian people. We pray to visit in the future.

Very good host, who waited for us at the door, and helped us to secure a free parking slot. The room is specious and elegant. We really like the location, where is pretty much walking distance to every attraction. If the breakfast can upgraded a little bit, it would be perfect 5 star B&B. Regardless, we would like to stay here again if we visit Catania again.

Wonderful B&B suite in Catania

Great B&B in downtown Catania within walking distance to main piazza. Was greeted by Manuele who was cheerful and gracious. The room was spacious and clean with double exposure to the park and street and triple pane windows (with bug screens!!!!) making the room quiet. The crisp bedding was 5 star quality. The shower was the best we had during our 30 day stay in Sicily. We were not able to stay for breakfast because of an early flight but instead was given a voucher for a delightful patisserie/bar a block away which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, clean room, very responsive management team. Clear instructions to check in via WhatsApp. Breakfast was excellent (despite not having a large choice). Great communication via WhatsApp regarding any queries. We stayed in a 3rd floor apartment, Cariddi (family of 4). Had a sofa bed, double and queen sized bed with a kitchen and 2 bathrooms (a smaller one upstairs - limited space in the shower, but can be used if needed. It was noisy on Saturday night with honking cars, but rest of the nights were ok.

We stayed for one night before our flight home. The location is very convienient for getting to the airport. Emanuele was a great host and the communication was excellent. Sadly we were unable stay for the breakfast as we had an early flight. However, the breakfast options seemed abundant. We appreciated the water and pop in the small fridge in our room. Located in the city center - the property is convenient and clean. What is most pleasant is the city of Catania. Ten times better than Palermo!!

Excelente location, very staff friendly, beautiful terrace. Excellent breakfast! The only issue was the bathroom odor coming from the shower drain. Overall we would recommend this place!

Staff were lovely and very helpful

Great location for visiting Catania however not without its faults. Hosts were pleasant, the room was spacious and clean..however the room had ants crawling all over in the bathroom, there was no safe, no glasses for water or soft drinks, the towels weren’t changed at all on a 4 night stay which I’ve never come across before, the breakfast was basic and you had to be up early enough before it was cleared out by other guests. I was also randomly asked for our key on the last day as it was asserted I wasn’t a guest which was a bit random. Also the buzzer on the intercom doesn’t make a noise so you’ve no idea if you’ve pressed it correctly. Would stay again but with the high scoring reviews expected more. 7/10

The best stay!

We absolutely loved staying here. It was right in the perfect location and we walked to everything. Comfortable beds, clean room!

Our accommodation exceeded our expectations - the property was in a central location at a charming piazza. The room was spacious, the facilities were modern and the breakfast was enjoyable (fresh eggs and coffee made to order). We wished we had more time to enjoy the place.

This hotel is a gem! The communication was great and check in was very easy. It’s located right next to the city center so we were able to explore and find many restaurants that were very close by! It was clean, modern and comfortable. We had to leave early so didn’t get to enjoy the breakfast, but it looked wonderful!

Our stay at Sciara Larmisi was just right. We arrived for one night at the beginning of our trip and stayed again 2 weeks later before flying out. The location is awesome- right near a bus stop, very walkable to the main piazza as well as awesome restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is really beautiful- very clean and welcoming rooms, the staff are amazing, available, and very accommodating. We loved our breakfast on the terrace overlooking Piazza Cutelli. Additionally, we were 2 women travelling alone and felt very safe and at home in this beautiful hotel. We absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting the amazing city of Catania.

One of the best stay I had

The amazing reviews convinced us to book and we were pleased to discover that everything was as advertised or better. Emmanuel was very kind and helpful. We have already booked another stay.

Lots of space and friendly helpful people

This was incredible value for money, and a lovely place in a central location. The room was basically a beautifully furnished apartment, with a bedroom, living room and kitchinette with balcony, two bathrooms and a wardrobe. A lot more than we had expected! They'd thought of everything, including an iron, spare blankets, a fan, pots and pans, coffee machine, some free soft drinks and a washing line for laundry drying. Emanuele was very helpful communicating with us in advance to arrange arrival times, and Giuseppe was a great host when we arrived and he showed us around. Wonderful breakfast (with an outdoor terrace for when it's warm). The only slight negative was that the street was a bit noisy - but that's Catania really and if you want to stay somewhere central then of course there will be street noise.

Excellent location for exploring Catania

The welcome to the hotel was warm and especially informative. We found all staff friendly and helpful. Locating the hotel was relatively easy and it is only a 5 minute walk from one of the airport bus stops. Buffet breakfast on the hotel verandah was enjoyable. The room was large enough and the bathroom was clean and well-appointed. It was an easy 6-7 minute walk to the centre of town and scores of restaurants and cafes.

Amazing place in the heart of Catania

The most quaint little b&b in the heart of Catania! We really enjoyed our stay at Sciara Larmisi and would recommend it to anybody visiting Catania! The location is great, within walking distance to all the important sights, and the staff is incredibly friendly! We felt so welcome here, and really appreciated the wonderful recommendations given to us by Giorgio upon checking in! The rooms are big, with comfortable beds, complimentary drinks and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need (even hair straighteners)! Unfortunately we had to cut our visit short unexpectedly, but everyone was incredibly understanding and helped us organise our departure as swiftly as possible - we really appreciated that!

We loved our stay here while in Catania. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Accommodations for our family of 4 was large and spacious with balconies. Breakfast on the terrace was beautiful. Highly recommend !

Everything is close to transportation, restaurants, square…. The staff are very helpful and wonderful. Our room is comfortable. They have daily cleaning service (if you prefer) and spacious.

Emanuele and Giorgio were AMAZING! They were so hospitable and welcoming (although according to Emanuele, Giorgio has the better smile), and their B&B was wonderful! The little things matter: complimentary drinks in the fridge upon arrival; slippers; FANTASTIC breakfast!; and entertaining cats (Nina and Nino). The breakfast is definitely a 4-star B&B breakfast! Just a short walk to all the major sites n Catania, and so near the train station. The park directly across the street provides wonderful Italian social entertainment in the late afternoon/evening, and all-in-all, this B&B is a real find!! (only one small suggestion: an extra couple of towel hooks by the bathroom sink would be extremely helpful!).

Great place you stay!

Highly recommend if you are coming to Catania, especially with a car. The location is fantastic and Emanuelle is such a great host - he sent is everything we needed to park and do self check in since we were getting in late. He also let us check out a bit late in the morning so we could have a walk around Catania without worrying about our luggage. And breakfast was delicious!

Stylish, funky, comfortable, clean hotel. Great breakfast, which we enjoyed on the rooftop patio. VERY helpful staff. Well located - walk to the Elefant statue and other nice areas. Would highly recommend. Note: there is an elevator but some stairs are unavoidable.

Ants in washroom, poor service.

Emmanuel was very helpful -especially when I arrived late for check-in. The square was pretty but a bit intimidating at night! It wasn’t far from the main square in Catania, which I enjoyed. Breakfast was not amazing and really needed freshly boiled water for tea, better milk and a wider array of international foods. Overall, a good stay.

What a gem! The owner and his wife run a lovely, and clean property. Breakfast was wonderful everyday, and the little things they did, like provide toothbrushes, slippers, tea and a kettle - fantastic and kind! The outdoor terrace was a beautiful setting for breakfast or a late night glass of wine. Highly recommend!

I can't imagine a more pleasant property within the downtown historic centre of Catania. All aspects of the stay were excellent. A minor misunderstanding over the nature of the reservation was resolved quickly and to everyone's satisfaction.

Excellent service!

Very nice room and nice place to stay overall. The only negative(s) were the wifi which me and my girlfriend had constant issues with until the last night when we discovered that the signal was better in the dining area. We found out from the manager that it was most likely from a tropical storm a couple weeks ago. Lastly, we saw a bunch of ants in the room on the morning we left which was due to the pizza we had ordered from the night before.

A fabulous hotel with a generous owner!

It’s an amazing place to stay! Convenient location, fabulous rooftop patio to relax with an espresso, and our room is spacious and new. A special thank you to the charming owner who refunded our first night due to flight cancellation. He didn’t need to do so given the very late notice provided by us, but he was so gracious and kind. We loved the entire experience in Catania and a big part was because of the hotel. Strongly recommend!

Hidden gem in Catania

Great contact with Emanuele who took care of us greatly during our stay explaining the property, city and go to places - very nice personal touch to the stay. Property is located in perfect place making it walkable to any tourist destination in Catania. Accommodation was very comfortable, well maintained and designed with taste. It really felt like home. Property has a great tarrace where you can enjoy your breakfast and relax in the afternoon. Highly recommend this place.

What a great find this was. Ideally situated for all the sights and restaurants. Attention to detail here was appreciated.....water and juice in the room fridge, toothbrushes in the free toiletries.. The room had a nice balcony. I would definitely recommend

Lovely B&B and arguably one of the most welcoming and pleasant lodgings in Italy that I’ve enjoyed over the years. I’ll definitely go back! Great location and the staff could not be more helpful and accommodating!

We stayed only for one night as we were flying back the next day. Our host was very helpful and arranged an earlier breakfast for us. The B&B couldn't be more conveniently placed for the Airport shuttle bus service as well as places of interest in the city centre.

Our stay at Sciara Larmisi was great! This might seem like a minor detail, but the shutters in our room made the room pitch black and significantly muted the traffic outside, making for a very restful and restorative sleep after arriving from overseas. Our room was large and modern, and the delicious breakfast had a number of tasty options. We enjoyed meeting some of the other guests at breakfast,

The place to stay in Catania

Wonderful B&B in fact the best we stayed at in Sicily so far. The owner/manager Emanuele was extremely helpful, thr breakfast was faboulus, the room spacious and comfortabke and the location unbeatable.

Big friendly welcome to lovely place with terrace

Our stay was fabulous with nothing to fault it. Our host was looking out for us when we arrived, helped with parking and very welcoming. The apartment, room, and terrace were lovely with great attention to detail. Great breakfast. The accommodation was only minutes away from the duomo but also situated in a small very pretty square.

Great B&B in Catania

This B&B was in a great location within easy walking distance of Duomo and Theatre Bellini. Emanuele was an excellent host and did his upmost to make our stay pleasant was a lovely breakfast and excellent suggestions and directions. After 3 days we moved to Il Principe for 2 nights at the beginning of a 2 week group tour. We both would have preferred to remain at Sciara Larmisi !

We highly recommend this B&B. It's located in a piazza with a fountain and is next to a place where one can get pastries, gelato and coffee. The property previously was owned by the owner's grandmother. The current owner said he left a banking career, bought the property and renovated it for a B&B. The interior is very modern and comfortable. Our unit even included a kitchen and clothes washer. It had a comfortable seating and very nice, modern bathroom and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious. You can take your breakfast to an outdoor terrace with great views or eat in a dining room inside. The owner is very personable. He arranged for a taxi to the airport when we checked out. We would give this B&B our highest recommendation. It's about a four-story building, but it has an elevator.

A little slice of heaven

Would love to be original, but there's no denying it: this place offers something really special so we have to join the choir of previous guest and sing its praises.The location is ideal: pleasantly walkable to wherever in town you want to go, beginning with a delightful fountain-centered square outside your front door. But the most important thing is the way it's run: Emanuele is amazingly competent, organized and charming to boot.So is Ada, who takes over when he's not there. We overslept the first morning after our arrival and missed breakfast. No problem: we were given a voucher that allowed us to enjoy one in the friendly little cafe next door. Said cafe, by the way, is a great spot for a bite, a drink, an espresso, whenever you want to regroup. Breakfast is a pleasure when taken on the roof top outside on a sunny morning and if you just want to take a break, enjoy the view, and read your guidebook, it's available all day. Our room was very comfortable: large, airy, immaculately clean. Emanuele arranged for us to go on an excursion to Mount Etna with a guide who took us up on foot to see this fascinating landmark---quite an adventure! We're convinced that our stay in Catania wouldn't have been as enjoyable, relaxing, and just plain fun if we hadn't stayed at Sciara Larmisi.

The property was only a short, 3 block walk to the main square, morning market, Cathedral, docks and other points of interest. We drove in from the airport, which wasn't too terrifying, and were pleased to find adequate on-street parking. The terrace is a highlight!

Wonderful B &B in great position in Catania

Really terrific B&B. Great position. Emanuele is the best host you could find. Nothing too much trouble. Texted good eating places and they were. Provided an umbrella when it looked like rain. Lovely breakfast. Even though it was out of season we loved a drink on the terrace as the sun went down. Would be so beautiful in summer!!

Great hosts, excellent location. Room was spacious for our family of three. Beds and pillows soft and comfortable. Very clean. Good breakfast, really enjoyed the strong coffee. Wi-fi was impressively fast. Common areas are tastefully decorated, giving the whole place a homey feeling. Some street noise on weekend but nothing that lasts long. We would definitely stay at Sciara Larmisi again.

Great location, great rooms, great staff

Perfect location for sightseeing. Cannot overstate how Friendly and helpful staff was. Clean modern and comfortable. Catania is a beautiful city and this is the perfect home base.

Lovely property in a great part of Catania, close to the famous elephant statue. Emanuele is fantastic. Warm and friendly, he even helped out when we had an issue with our rental car.

It was a great place to stay. The owner was great. He was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful! The location was good for everything we wanted to do. The owner gave us suggestions on places to go and eat. I would definitely stay here again.

Good choice for Catania

We stayed only one night so our experience is limited. Our room was a little noisy as we overlooked the main street but that is unavoidable. However, the b & b is well located, extremely attractive and the host very pleasant. Would recommend when visiting Catania.

Comfortable and convenient

Great option for an in-town stay in Catania. The B&B is on the second floor of a building right on a lovely plaza near the center of town. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast -- served on a patio overlooking the plaza -- was terrific. Lots of dining and sightseeing options within walking distance The host, Emanuele, was quite helpful before and after our stay, arranging for a late check-in and advising us on local sights.

Great location walking distance to the best sightseeing, large beautiful rooms, super clean . We were arriving late but Emanuelle was very helpful by sending a long message with the codes to enter , we were welcomed with a packed mini fridge and a kettle with tea he even gave us a ride to the bus station cause they was no taxi just so we make it to Taormina, I have nothing but positive to say about it, it felt like home
