Beautiful place in Berlin suburb

Such a beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood in Berlin. Great service, great food.

Gorgeous public rooms. Great breakfast. Nice bedroom but a bit of wear and tear. Needs a little TLC. TV was on a stand that blocked the desk. Make up mirror was loose. Could use a new mattress.

The hotel is fine, the room was clean but extremely outdated. It's got a nice vintage look to it but really could use some updating. I'm leaving 1 star for one reason only and its because it's more visible to others looking up reviews. The breakfast was 90 euros for two people and was the same breakfast you get for free or under 20 euros at every other hotel in the world. Don't waste your money on anything other than the room itself here. If you really want hotel breakfast walk to any other hotel in Berlin, and get the same thing for free.

Beautiful residentially located hotel

This was our first time in Berlin which, as we discovered is a very spread-out city. With that said, if you want to be located near the city center (e.g. Brandenburg gate, museums, shopping and restaurants) this is not the hotel for you. The Schlosshotel is located in a quiet residential area of the city with very large old homes. The hotel itself was built in 1911 as a former residence, then became an embassy, followed by its conversion to a hotel. It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The pool/spa area below the hotel is lovely. While we enjoyed our stay, all of the places we wanted to go were at least a half an hour cab ride one-way (average fare $30-$35). They offer a large breakfast spread (at a charge). The hotel bar area offers entertainment most evenings, but the pours on their drinks are minuscule and the prices high.

Perfekt Hotel in Berlin

Sauber, freundlich, ruhig, komfortabel, durchdacht und besonders. Insbesondere die junge Mannschaft vom Fach ist erfreulich, das findet sich dieser Tage selten. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

The property is quite a distance from Berlin in the suberbs - it is quite beautiful, the room was lovely and clean, some of the staff were very nice - some not so! There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room - for a 'superior and luxury' hotel I have never felt so lacking in treats and pampering! This hotel is more style over substance

somewhat disappointing

The first room I was offered had dark purple walls, making the entire room very dark and the atmosphere quite lugubrious. I was offered a different room, which was six it acceptable. However all rooms seemed to have rather dim lighting. €50, or AU$100, seems a little excessive as corkage.... staff service however, was always impeccable, but this alone does not make for a satisfactory display

It is a castle. If you have a car or do not mind Uber, it is excellent. Food 2as the best I have had in Germany.

Luxury Hotel We especially liked the location of the hotel. We were in a lovely neighborhood with embassies and beautiful homes. The neighborhood was quiet yet there was a pastry shop just 10 minutes from the hotel, Walking. If you want to go to the center at city just to ask how to get on the S Bahn. That is a 15 minute walk but you can catch a bus two blocks away and if you have a Berlin card you can ride any bus, S Bahn or underground anytime dependent on the number of days you purchase. This is a very classy hotel. It is located in beautiful Grunewald, not far from the forest. The service was outstanding. We shall return!

Style & drama to the hilt

A visual feast. Dazzling design, every surface decorated. Rooms in the mid to upper tiers are rich in drama, style & amenities, as befit a fashion designer’s signature hotel. One of the most elegant swimming pools I’ve ever seen and I search out great indoor pools. Art? You decide. Dinner was excellent; we pretended to be royalty. A wedding on property looked beautifully mounted. Spotless. Every towel rich and monogrammed. Service mixed—not entirely up to the pretensions. Overall a striking and memorable place to see. Cosmopolitan clientele. Lots of personality. All depends on whether that personality suits yours.

Amazing hotel. Luxurious and private. Location is what makes it private. It was a great first day hotel after a long and grueling overseas flight.

Really nice hotel but in a private area, quite far from city centre (20€ taxi). However, nice boutique hotel with lots of character. Unfortunately, the air con stopped working in the hotel during my stay which made the night unbearably hot. Hotel did little or nothing to rectify or sort issue out. Only offered a fan which in return was only circulating hot air. Note: no tea or coffee in the room also.

Fantastic service and beautiful hotel

Perfect for romantic getaway

if you drive, then its perfect, because it is in the middle of a rich residential neighborhood, so there's nothing really nearby. It's like living in your own mansion with butlers and maids, with unbelievable services, and facilities. The room and the place are gorgeous and very very romantic.

Unfortunately that was enough to ruin my trip

It's a beautiful hotel with a lovely friendly staff however they advertise themselves as having air conditioning when we arrived we were put in one room on the top floor that was lovely the air conditioner was turned on at 4 PM and when we arrive back in our room at 1 AM it was still boiling hot They then moved us to another room which was slightly cooler but still extremely hot clearly there is an issue with their air-conditioning system it does not work properly. Unfortunately that was enough to ruin my trip.

The reserved room was not available. There was a discussion about the reservation. This is a hotel for 'stars'. My perception is that other guests were only tolerated.

Dingy carpet & furniture, steep eaves, sink clogged upon arrival, water stopped when getting ready for bed, shower dumped water on floor, found housekeeping forgot toiletries in shower, got attitude at 29 euro per person breakfast, left after one night, rather than the three booked.

Gorgeous Hotel with a couple of service issues

We loved our stay here despite a couple of hiccups. The concierge that helped us when we arrived was utterly charming, which broke the ice. The interiors of the hotel are really stunning, and everything is kept very nicely. We ate in the bar area for the night we stayed because an event took over the restaurant and the food and drinks were good. The downside: The bartender took our dinner order and thought we ordered one fish when we had ordered two. (We had repeated that we wanted two orders in case there was any confusion.) The bartender did all he could to get the second dish out as fast as possible and he took our second glasses of wine off our bill. I appreciated the gesture, but am still puzzled as to how he failed to understand our order. My hunch is that even though the bartender seemed to speak pretty good English, he wasn't as good at understanding. This mistake was frustrating as we only had one night to spend in the hotel and were disappointed to not have eaten in the restaurant. The maid service for some reason repeatedly came into the room without knocking or anything. We didn't want to turn our Do Not Disturb light on since we had asked for a few things to be brought to the room, but we also didn't want to be walked in on. The complimentary welcome drink showed up on our bill when we signed out, and we had to ask this to be taken off. I think this is just tacky and WISH that fine establishments would remember to follow through with this kind of offer.

Romantic retreat in style

When expectation is high, you often meet disappointment. This was not the case with this extremely romantic hotel. The surroundings, architecture, furnishing, service, breakfast, spa - almost everything was excellent! The only comment is that spa amenities (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) supply was a little bit on tight side. It sounds trivial; but, it is rather important for spa lovers.

Amazing service

I had a terrible experience at the Dude Hotel in Berlin (so terrible that I moved and ended up paying an extra night that I didn't stay there) and Schlosshotel was amazing. I checked in around midnight and they gave me a tour of the hotel, a welcome glass of rose champagne, and showed me a few rooms to choose from. Housekeeping is also great - I had checked in in a rush and went to work the next day, but when I came back, my coats were hung up neatly in the closet and my toiletries organized in the bathroom. What a relief.

ALMA Schlosshotel - amazing stay in Berlin

ALMA Schlosshotel was fantastic - located at beautiful quite residential area and the rooms are huge and decorated beautifully. We had a dinner at Vivaldi which was fantastic. I've stayed more expensive hotels in central Berlin but this hotel is my favorite definitely!

Far from the crowd cry but not too much from the city centre, it pampers you with rooms and services of absolute standing. Don't miss the breakfast !

Sehr schönes Gebäuden, zuvorkommendes Personal. Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher im Zimmer haben etwas gefehlt.

das ein kleines Bier acht Euro kostet, damit kann ich leben. Das das Glas aber nur halb voll ist und der Rest Schaum ist, ist einfach frech. Um nicht nur zu meckern, das Frühstück war hervorragend.

Das Hotel hat wirklich ein sehr gelungenes Ambiente. Ein tolles Schlossartiges Gebäude. Den Zimmern im Nebenhaus könnte eine kleine Renovierung gut tun. Das Frühstücks Büfett ist reichlich und Abwechslungsreich. Parkplatz reicht nicht für alle Zimmer aus, wer zuerst kommt, steht zuerst.

Middelmådigt hotel. Vi blev lovet et værelse med balkon. I stedet fik vi et uden. Kun tysk TV og INGEN roomservice.

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage. Frühstück mit Aufbackbrötchen und Extrakosten für Spiegeleier und Omelett entspricht nicht der 5-Sterne-Kategorie.

Ordentliches Hotel, unangemessener Service

Bei einem Hotel dieser Preiskategorie ist es mindestens irritierend, wenn man vom Service-Personal geduzt wird. Auch scheint die Ausbildung, die dem Zwecke des Services dienst allerhöchstens mangelhaft zu sein.

Das Frühstück kam nicht rechtzeitig und nur auf nochmaligen Nachfrage aufs Zimmer. Die Unterkunft wurde über den Tag nicht gereinigt und erst auf Nachfrage gesäubert.

Absolut Enttäuschend!

Es war mein 1. Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Wollte es endlich mal ausprobieren und wurde leider sehr enttäuscht. Ich wollte um 20 Uhr einchecken, leider war mein Zimmer noch nicht gereinigt. Dann hieß es, es gibt keine freien Zimmer mehr, ich müsste mich eine Weile gedulden. Dann wurde doch noch ein freies Zimmer gefunden und ich konnte dorr einziehen. Leider war keine Tür in der Dusche, diese sei defekt. Außerdem roch das Zimmer leicht nach Rauch, es war möglicherweise früher ein richtiges Raucherzimmer. Für mich kommt diese Unterkunft leider nicht mehr zur Auswahl. Von einem 5-Sternehotel darf, nein, muss man mehr Erwarten.

Zimmer hat seine besten Zeiten schon hinter sich. Frühstück ist sehr gut, zahlt man aber auch entsprechend für, Eierspeisen sind mittlerweile nicht mehr im Frühstückspreis inbegriffen, schade! Würden trotzdem wieder dort übernachten, dann aber in einem anderen Zimmer.

Ikke prisen værd

Vi havde bestilt executive-suite’en. Dejlig rummelig, men gardinerne var super beskidte og var helt misfarvet. Der var mange ting der var i stykke eller ikke virkede i suiten desværre. Når man ringede til roomservice tog de den aldrig, oftest ringede de tilbage, andre gange slet ikke. Der blev også filmet på hotellet uden vi blev underrettet, og kunne derfor ikke bruge elevatoren og måtte stå i 25 min før en receptionist viste os vej om til nogle trapper. Da vi checkede ind var der ingen der viste os rundt, eller fortalte os hvor ting var, hverken pool eller morgenmad, og vi blev heller ikke fortalt hvornår morgenmaden ville være fra og til. Men ud over det så er det et super flot hotel!

Furchtbares Hotel

Leider sehr heruntergekommenes Hotel. Um die Schöneheit aus vergangenen Zeiten noch zu erahnen, braucht man viel Phantasie. Veraltetete Zimmer: Zimmer 54:billige Baumarkt Rollos statt verdunkelnder Vorhänge, kein Safe im Zimmer, kein Conditioner, Klima-Anlage wurde zwar nicht gebraucht, da viel zu warm im Zimmer (kaputte Heizung?), wirkte aber, als sei sie in den 80ern eingebaut. Alter Teppich, keine separate Dusche, Vorhandene Steckdosen an den falschen Stellen angebracht (vermutlich Elektrik ebenfalls aus den 80ern). Zimmer 50: zwar separate Dusche, aber nicht möglich von Kopf- auf Handbrause zu wechseln da Mechanik kaputt, im Waschbecken kein Wasserdruck, so dass teilweise gar kein Wasser kam, Alles in allem ein erbärmlicher Zustand. Der Pool war neu und angemessen groß - was man leider nicht über den Saunabereich sagen konnte. Auch der schien neu zu sein, aber schlecht konzipiert: Im Vorraum, von dem Sauna, Dampfbad, Tauchbecken (nicht zeitgemäß) und eine einzelne Dusche (drei verschiedene Duschköpfe, aber nur kaltes Wasser, d.h. keine Wechselduschen möglich) abgehen, max. Platz für zwei Personen war. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker, der Service fing stark an und ließ noch stärker nach mit steigender Belegung der Tische. Alles in allem war das noch das Beste. Die Reservierung jedoch war sehr komplex und braucht mehrere Mails und Telefonate da Versprechen von Rückrufen nicht eingehalten wurden. Fazit: Furchtbarer Aufenthalt.

Tolles Hotel, super room service, toller Pool, die Massage bei Frau Krause war Weltklasse, das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut. Nur leider waren die Angestellten in der Bar abends unorganisiert, zuppelten ständig an ihren Klamotten rum, tanzten im Flur, die Tisch waren leicht dreckig, einige junge Gäste benahmen sich wie in der Disko ! Der Pina Colada bestand leider fast nur aus Eis!! Bitte bei einem DZ 2 Bettdecken für das Doppelbett anstatt einer Bettdecke bereit legen !

Schönes Hotel mit Charme. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Parkmöglichkeiten im Umfeld. Sehr freundliches Personal. Waren leider nur eine Nacht, aber gerne wieder!!!

Unser Zimmer im 3. Stock mit Dachschräge wies einige, vorwiegend dem Alter geschuldete Defizite auf. Marmorstücke am Badewannenrand und an den Waschbecken sind heraus gebrochen ( Verletzungsgefahr) Die Fensterrahmen außen abgesplittert . Minibar unter der Dachschräge nur gebückt zu erreichen. Gardinen sind mit Klettband befestigt. Verdunkelung kann nur mit extra dafür vorgesehenen „ Einstellschablonen“ vorgenommen werden. Wasserkocher oder Kaffeemaschine sind , sowie ein Schminkspiegel nicht vorhanden. Die Eingangshalle und das Ambiente des Hauses sind imposant. Das Personal ausgesucht freundlich. Der Empfang sehr angenehm.Die Sauberkeit entspricht den Maßstäben eines 5* Hotels, die Ausstattung unseres Zimmers allerdings weniger. Am Haus direkt sind zu wenig Parkplätze vorhanden. Parkplätze vor dem Haus mit hoher Bordsteinkannte nicht für alle Fahrzeuge geeignet. Die ruhige Lage in der Nähe des Kurfürstendamms perfekt.

Skuffende hotel

Slotshotellet levede slet ikke op til et 5 stjernet luksus hotel. Morgenmaden til 45 euro pp var langt fra værdien værd og servicen var direkte dårlig.

Außenbereich war teils ungepflegt und wg. einer Kindergeburtstagesfeier (inkl. Animateure) eingeschränkt nutzbar. Zimmer war abgenutzt und Old-Style. Restaurant war geschlossen. Niemals 5*S

Das Hotel an sich ist sehr schön auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Enttäuscht waren wir von den Zimmern, diese sind doch schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen aber am schlimmsten - man hätte keine Vorhänge um die Zimmer abzudunkeln. Nach 4-5 Stunden war die Nacht leider vorbei. Dafür einfach zu teuer, wenn man das Hotel zum Schlafen nutzen möchte, was man dann nicht kann...

Alles war vom Feinsten , gab absolut nichts zu meckern .

Es wurde in der Bar geraucht. Wenn man in das Hotel kam, dann roch es immer nach Rauch. Ein Abend war eine Feier und es wurde viel geraucht. Die ganze Nacht war dieser Rauchgeruch in unserem Zimmer, in der 3.Etage. Die Möbel sind hochwertig, aber es fehlt an Gemütlichkeit und Praktikabilität. So gab es in unserem Zimmer noch nicht einmal 2 Stühle für 2 Personen.

Bel hôtel, personnel très accueillant. Notre chambre au 3ème étage sous les combles avait une toute petite fenêtre et c’est dommage.

Etwas Besonderes! Hier steht nicht - wie i.d.R. - der Ort (Berlin), sondern das Hotel positiv im Vordergrund. So ist es fast schade, wenn man die Zeit nicht im Hotel verbringt und die Stadt besichtigt. Der Aufenthalt im Hotel ist wirklich eine Möglichkeit, um abzuschalten!

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einem interessanten Ambiente. Frühstück mit hervorragender Auswahl. Wirlkich ein Genuß!! Empfang und Betreung überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kompliment an die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter des Hauses! Manche Einzelheiten der künstlerischen Ausstattung sind sicherlich nicht jedermanns Geschmack. Die immerwährende Musik könnte noch abwechslungsreicher sein. Die etwas düstere und schwache Beleuchtung empfanden wir etwas triste. Vergoldeter Totenkopf mit Schmetterlingen z.B. bedarf einer positiven Interpretation. Aber alles in allem: Die Geschichte des Hauses und die des Herrn Patrick Hellman sind überaus interessant. Der Wind von Karl Lagerfeld weht immer noch! Inspirationen bekommt also nicht nur in der Bar. Für Festlichkeitenz. B. ist das Haus sehr zu empfehlen.....
