Very respectful staff, comfortable and clean environment. I really loved the view from the pool side ☺️ very convenient dining, Beach, cane river falls, authentic jerk chicken and pork 😋 I would definitely stay there again. Oh yea the airport is approximately 15mins away can't beat that !

I really like the proximity to Bob Marley beach. It is the hidden gem of St.Andrew’s. The rooms were clean and beds were suffice. Could upgrade towels and they need to put water in the pool as there wasn’t any for the week I was there. Also they lock the gate way to early.

The host, Richard was quick to answer the phone and address any concerns. He works hard to ensure we are comfortable. Walking distance to the beach, 20 minutes ti the airport. One of the best experiences ever.

The manager was attentive to messages and feedback. He was very pleasant to talk to and very reasonable throughout my stay when I made any requests. Be aware that there is a rooftop bar so there may be some nights where there is loud music playing, so if you aren't partying just bring some ear plugs :)

DO NOT GO HERE! Area is terrible and is NOT tourist friendly (area is dangerous). Booked this online as a all inclusive and when arrived the owner said they no longer provide all inclusive. Not to mention there is no pool and you are in the middle of nowhere. TV didn’t work and the actual Guesthouse was disappointing, bugs were all over the floor and you can smell the sewers from outside everyday. Very unhygienic and staff did not have towels and toilet ready for arrival so I had to ask for it. Highly don’t recommend staying here. Had to move locations and pay out large amount for a hotel as the guesthouse was not in a safe area. I hope this helps someone. Please note I stayed at this accommodation in March 2023 and things may have improved.

property in good location to most amnities if you drive no allocated parking for vehicle so park at your own risk, getting to the property now is very bad as theres a motorway being built making it very difficult not to damage your car when getting to and from the property, caretaker very helpful and friendly, but theres nothing to watch on tv especially the local news or anything local,unless you have your own streaming account like netflix.very unreliable internet and surroundings can be very noisy on the weekend.

Nice guest house who has the unfortunate problem of MAJOR road construction going on so no signs and quite challenging to get to. Our host, Richard was wonderful. This place is a bit out of the way, so only 1 place to eat nearby.

If you are trying to experience real Jamayca this is the place! Very nice host and excellent price.

I really enjoyed watching the ocean from the balcony and enjoying the sea breeze. Staff was very curtious and welcoming.

I would never go back or recommend this place. Definitely false advertising. There was no wifi/internet for the duration of my stay, when I questioned it I was told I have to understand it's a Thrid World Country, so I had to pay an extra $50.00 to my cell phone carrier for Global Plus in order to be able to make calls During this week no one at front desk ever, never offered clean towels or sheets, no room service of any kind. No microwave. coffe pot , not even a garbage pail in the room. No smoke alarm or fire extinguisher, no sprinklers. At night the front gate to get in and out of the resort ( that's a joke) is chained closed so you are completely locked in the building, It is not all inclusive like advertised, no restaurant on premises, no bar on premises, parking is in the yard across. Walls are paper thin you can hear everything and every conversation. Horrible experience .

Liked view from balcony and access to public transportation.

The property is located in a slum, risky area of St. Andrew. We drove down a dirt unpaved road passing garbage with animals running around eating from the garbage. We had difficulty locating the property as there was no name or signage on the building. A female in regular clothing and barefeet, came outside saying she was supposed to show us our room. Another male across the street directed us to park in his yard. We found inside dark & unkept as we walked up narrow stairs with uneven steps to our floor. As the only guests, we were shown 4 really small rooms with old decrepit furniture & the beds placed in the corner of the room against the walls with no bedhead. Mouldy, unclean washroom with cob-webs & one light bulb from the ceiling. The shower was disgusting to look at or to use. A small sink & water from the faucet is misty making it difficult for hygiene care. The air conditioner was positioned directly above the bed. It was loud and leaked water that dripped on the side of the bed my wife slept causing her to be ill. The pool is filthy with paint flaking in the water. Looking out the window you see rusted zinc-covered roof with garbage thrown about. At 6 a.m. the next morning there was loud music playing throughout the building. The images on the website are not a true representation of the current state of the property & the area. Fearful for our health & safety resulting in us checking out early the next morning. Property neglected & UNSAFE. Stay away for your safety.

The property is relatively clean, inadequate staffing, minimal amenities, payment options needs to be revised on customers website, not to mention a massive road construction making it unsafe and sometimes impossible to get to the property.

I really enjoyed the property. It was clean, safe and easy to locate, close to Bob Marley’s beach. Richard was extremely helpful, attentive and willing to go extra miles to make your stay joyful. I had a pleasant time enjoying Jamacia. I would definitely recommend this property to stay at while in Jamaica… thanks again Richard!!!

I had the most amazing stay at Scarlett Guesthouse. The hotel owner and staff are one of the most warm, caring and welcoming people you will meet. The place is clean, peaceful, home like (Caribbean style, meaning hearing good surrounding vibes, music, and friendly, helpful neighbors). The beautiful rooftop view of the mountains on one side and the beach on the other is heavenly, I spent hours relaxing there. I felt safe, protected and welcomed. It was an honor to stay at Scarlett guesthouse. I truly thank the owner for a wonderful and beautiful stay. ❤️🙏

The internet service was out the entire week except for 2 days and during those two days it was going in and out. Didn't like the surrounding areas in which the guest house was located. Overall it was just average and inconvenient. I give it a 5

It was clean, & good. There is no food as mentioned online. But Mr. Richie was very nice.

The listing pictures aren't even of the property. The listing states there is a restaurant and bar onsite, which there wasn't and I arrived after curfew with no where to get food. I was offered a towel, they weren't provided in the room but I had my own. No soap or sanitizer in the room during covid. I booked a "Seaview" room and it didn't even have a window. The rooftop terrace had no furniture and was nothing like was pictured. I definitely do not recommend this place.

Hotel was closed upon arrival. Could not get in touch with anyone. Had to make last minute changes to my travel plan. Ended up staying at a different hotel.

This hotel was absolutely amazing everything was good the people the food in the place the host is incredible let me have my reception there when there I want all my family and friends they also love that the Mountain View was incredible and amazingly Beautiful I appreciate everything is especially the host Thank you so much I will book again

Authentic Jamaican hospitality!

Place is very new, location gives you a taste of local life without all that tourist feel! I felt very safe parking is a little limited but hospitality was great! Breakfast was very good local cooking no complaints on my side! Nice experience view was awesome. I would stay again and would recommend it! If you want to feel the character of Jamaica without all that water down tourist feel then this place is perfect! Can't say enough about the hospitality and the eagerness to please their customers great experience!

The view is absolutely amazing! On the north side of the building you have the view of the mountains and to the south is the view of the ocean. This property is in the middle of a residential neighborhood however the dining room and pool are on the 3rd floor and the full 360-degree 4th floor balcony makes you feel as if you are in a different world. If you want to feel the local flavor without the resort feel, then this is your spot. As a Jamaican born visitor, the manager and staff made every effort to ensure that we enjoyed as much local cuisine as possible. The Manager brought mangoes from his home for us on a daily basis and the Housekeeper/Chef/Girl Friday came as our escort on our trip to the beach. I would have given a full 5 stars except for the noise from the passing traffic a quarter mile away and the locals out for the evening on the weekend. The property is still a work in progress but the staff and the view make it worthwhile. I will definitely return.

This place was a little hard to find. Once there the staff were friendly and hospitable. When we inquired about the trees on the property they picked fresh mangos for us. Good home cooked meals. Quiet.

The country is very beautiful. If you aren’t from Jamaica, I wouldn’t recommend traveling here alone, … something I did. Before booking this trip, I looked at the pictures presented on expedia and expected it to be the same, the pictures on the website are not how the rooms actually look. What’s presented on the website is very misleading. I also booked the hotel based off reviews. The location is not for tourist so I felt restricted, I could not leave the hotel/guesthouse and just walk around. There are no stores/shopping centers or casinos in walking proximity. If you are looking for a getaway, fun and exciting place to venture, try booking an all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay, Negril or Ocho Rios Jamaica. Pros * Nice staff .. * Located near Bob Marley beach * Breakfast and Dinner on time (but there is no variety, which is a con) Cons * No nearby things to do (you need a car to travel and leave the guesthouse). * I disliked the towels because the material rubbed off on my skin. * Bed sheets/towels & wash cloths had stains on it * Misleading - I spoke with the owner before arriving, and he stated he would reduce the roundtrip fair from the hotel to the airport b.c it was “listed incorrectly on the website," but when I arrived, he did not reduce the fee. Overall an ok experience, if you decide to book this guesthouse, please travel with a native/Jamaican. Otherwise, you'd be waisting your money & time.

I had never stayed at a guesthouse prior to this visit. I will definitely return to this site. This was a great alternative to a hotel for my family. Breakfast and dinner was on time and delicious. Karen was very warm, welcoming and helpful.

New clean hotel

We went for one day & booked for 3 more days we loved the hotel, brand new so everything was above standard the breakfast & dinner was delicious which wad included in our room price. My family & I will ne going back next time we go to kingston. Also the hotel oa right on Bob Marley beach & 5 mins away from cane river both a must visit

The property is very close to Bob Marley Beach. The view of the mountain and the ocean is breath-taking. Nice indoor pool, clean rooms that were way better than some of the more pricey hotels. We were treated very well by our hosts. We were served delicious dinner and breakfast. Only about 15 minutes drive from airport. This place is a hidden gem.
