Home away from home

We have stayed in this location multiple times and never been disappointed. The location is great and the staff is warm and welcoming.

Small bath room. Found a dirty sock under the bed.

The staff was nice, and the place was clean. The building is outdated, but the location was very convenient.

excellent staff and solid facilities. Excellent value and location. But due to downtown Kamloops experiencing the same issues with homelessness and addiction be aware you may see and interact with individuals who need a bit more compassion

Convenient for hospital and downtown.

Price was decent for the location, also shares parking lot with a Dennys, so great for breakfast, property definitely a little dated, staff very friendly, we didn’t have a problem with, but lots of homeless folks wandering around and thru the parking lot, we did however make sure left nothing in the vehicle

Clean and quiet and good price for being downtown.

Front clerk was warm and welcoming, offering a choice of rooms, and even suggestions for dinner (which we took and was excellent.) The room was clean, quiet and comfortable.

No elevator, tiles in bathroom dirty, some black stuff on the tiles, tv when pressing up on volume on tv (remote not working) made it change inputs. Denny’s is only place to eat close by.

We have stayed in this location before. It meets all of our needs and is located in a convenient area for us. We will be back

The area was unsafe, people by my vehicle yelling looks like low income housing in a closed hotel next door. The Denny’s that is beside hotel was absolutely horrible as well do not go there!

Quick and easy check in, friendly staff. Room was very clean, A/C worked great. Room was quiet, no noise from the halls. Bathroom was very, very small, you had to maneuver around the door to get in and close it, but not a big deal. Would definitely stay here again.

Bathroom (toilet & tub room) so small that person almost had to stand on toilet or in tub to close door. Front counter personnel & staff were very helpful/nice.

Not for us!

We left after 5 minutes as the room smelt so bad and there was some dodgy characters hanging around the hotel and car park, it did not feel safe!

The staff was very friendly. Room was clean. There is no elevator so if you cannot do stairs you need to be on the second floor. For the price it was good value.

First of all the room was tiny and second of all there was nowhere to plug anything in we asked for a power bar. We couldn't get one and we didn't have a shower curtain on our shower upon arrival we had to wait for a day to get one didn't seem to be the best value for what we paid.

Old, outdated, no elevator not great surrounding area. The staff were pretty friendly and approachable. It is within walking distance of a few restaurants.

Whole night could not sleep cause air conditioning is not working , hotel is so poor in facilities and not working that much cost

Hotel was very dirty. Lots of homeless people lingering around the hotel at all hours. Truck got damaged by one of the homeless people trying to pull off my license plate. Hotel shower would not drain, standing in a foot of water during shower. AC barely worked, it was 40 degrees outside with barely any air movement. Also requested conjoining rooms and even called 3 days before check in to confirm but did not happen.

Although the staff helped us with a very early checkin, the property was not very well maintained - smelly at places including the rooms.

Hoyle starting to look like needs a Reno

Good night's sleep

It was a super comfy bed. AC was great. There were someone elses clothes in the dresser drawers tho. And the room door opened directly to the reception area! Could use a refresh but suited our needs for a sleep.

Too hot

AC was not working well at all. Could adjust it to make it colder. Rough sleep

Beds and bathroom were clean but the walls not so much. Bath was also clogged so it filled quickly when the shower was used. Room needs a good renovation or at least someone to fix the loose bathroom fixtures and fill all the cracks in the bathtub.

Very friendly service

For families with large luggage no elevator for second or third floor is not helpful. There should be a water cooler too . Overall was good

Basic hotel for overnight stay with Denny’s restaurant- great pancakes!

They help me to solve the problem.

Friendly staff, convenient location. The rooms were comfortable but the air conditioning didn’t seem to be working well. We obtained a fan easily enough from the front desk. Little outdated but comfortable.

In this hot summer season, there is no elevators, not cooling airconditioner, and old-fashioned facilities.

This is an older hotel. It was relatively clean however the room smelled musty. The air conditioning in the hotel was struggling to cool the building and the in unit air conditioners were not up to the job either. The building has no elevator so older guest or guests with mobility devices may find it unsuitable.

Good location, but...

This Sandman is getting a little tired, as was I from hauling suitcases in. There is no elevator and for a 75 year old that makes it tough. Thankfully, the front desk was able to find a room on the main floor. The Inn has the smallest bathroom I've ever seen in accommodation. But, overall, you get what you pay for, so not bad. Definitely nice to have the Denny's across the parking lot.

Room needs update, no plugs. Both sides of bes need a nightstand. Many things not cleaned well and lots of visible dirt.

No Elevator ,poor parking ,

Carpet was not vacuumed. Mice poop in the room and what looked like blood on the walls.

It appears to us that when you book thru Expedia that the property owners/front desk management know they’re getting a reduced fare since Expedia gets there share. In most cases we’re relegated to the smallest worst room available at check in. Some exceptions.

Tired and run down room with torn curtains. Noisy. Not the cleanest. Bath didn’t drain very well, toilet cistern wouldn’t refill so flushing was difficult and tap handle came off the basin tap. Glad it was only a one night stop over between jasper and Vancouver airport.

Clean room with fridge, microwave, desk. Quiet.

Was great for my work trip!

Hassle checking in after hours, fire alarm went off while showering.

Very grateful to find a room. Seems very nice.

The hotel was hosting a teenage girl sports team so I can understand not being able to keep all the rooms quiet, so should have either given the other guests a heads up so we could decide for ourselves how important getting a good sleep was.

Our room at back of building was very quiet. Convenient restaurant. Desk clerk friendly and very helpful.

Kind staff

Very kind staff who offered us an early check-in and very quick and easy checkout process, and while the hotel was nice enough, the area around the hotel wasn’t the best.

Stayed 3 nights, couldn’t sleep most of the time due to noisy parking lot. OLD single pane aluminum framed window almost fell out when I opened it. Hotel was too hot, needed window open the whole time. Stains on carpet and chairs.

We checked in late, otherwise we would have left. The room was dirty. The bathroom was extremely small and appears that black mold had just been painted over. Carpet had food left on it beside the bed. Very disappointed.

Not much to say, a comfortable and clean place to sleep

Staff were friendly, room was ok other than the fact the counters were dirty, the carpets had some questionable stains. The bedding was clean lol got over charged on my credit card. Was supposed to be 78$ ended up paying 107$.

Close to downtown

I got a great price for this room. However as a single, female senior I was put in the basement facing the alley where there was commercial traffic (noisy). I didn’t feel it was safe being at just below street level in a downtown area even though I had a dog Second, while most off the staff were friendly the day manager needs to take a hospitality course

Good place and reasonable price

Place is very old with holes in walls from items been removed, carpets haven’t been cleaned. Have to step out of bathroom to change your mind it’s so small with toilet so low you think you are sitting on the floor

The room itself was ok but I stayed there two days and no one made up my room for the second day. PLUS , the ice machine did not work, not close to any good dining other than Denny's which is over rated and expensive. Was on the 3rd floor, no elevator, walk up only, parking was limited. I would not stay there again, rather would pay a bit more for a better room and get a breakfast included room as this place does not offer any breakfast at all.

Ok for price,never had a room in basement before

Ive stayed here several times now. It's an older property but clean and safe and good for the price.

Older property in older area of town. No elevators or ramps. Not disabled friendly. Rooms clean but poorly maintained.

When I showed the desk clerk the bunch of hair hanging from the pipe under the sink it wasn't removed when i returned 2 hrs later. I re reported and the second desk clerk took care of it but shouldn't have been there and should have been dealt with promptly

The hotel is dated and older but the rooms were very clean. The service was great and they were very accommodating because we had 2 puppies with us.
