This is a clean and well kept property. Staff was friendly. Food was good and there was always a choice. We will be going back.

Floors were clean, free of dust particles. Staff was great! Food was great! Soggy was awesome!! He went above and beyond to give us what we wanted. His staff is very friendly and accommodating. We will return soon!

Poor front service will never go back every worker on the property have the room entrance code

My second time staying in this unit and I enjoyed it as much as I did the first time. The property is well maintained and the unit is clean and comfortable. While I’m on vacation I still have a touch of home by being able to make a meal if I’d like, or hang out on the front patio to enjoy the breeze coming off the ocean. Will definitely stay here again.

The people who owned my room txtd my phone few days before trip. Hotel check in easy. Room modern kitchen stove fridge freezer microwave balcony clean just what i needed. beach directly behind hotel. Pool has a bar for purchase. Had my first coconut there. 10/10 will come again here forsure. Riu Ochi is soo far out the way in middle of nowhere neeed a car to get to town. This hotel is smack in middle of everything!!!!

Restaurant remodeling no all inclusive

Amazing hotel! If you want a spot that’s in town walkable to most places this is it. First time staying will definitely be back. Close too burger, kfc, craft market, the clock and also good vibes at night by the pool. Turtle park right across the street and great security at night time

The Pool is too small. Pls clean your rooms better! The Tv is to hard to use!

My review is honest and true to the fact, as a professional who was looking for a nice place to stay I never thought this place would turn out to be my worst nightmare. The person at the front desk have no experience in dealing with guests, it took four and a half hours for me to eventually get hold of the person who responsible to give me a code to unlock my room. No one was there to showed you how things operate in the suite, not even the WiFi . I was told to go checked under the cable box, the hurricane came not even a candle or emergency lamp was anywhere, no one came by to check on us knowing there was no electricity of Wi-Fi available, everything you need to know you had to call the property manager to find out and how can you do that if you can’t use your phone, the times I do get to talk to him I honestly can say he was very polite and pleasant but running a busyness the way they do, no one would ever want to rent from them a second time or even recommend to others to them, I felt as if I was a beggar, the experience was not a pleasant one at all. I would never recommend my college or anyone to stay in that place. I strongly recommend they took a course in how to operate a business and treat their guests, I have many colleagues who will be visiting the Island in a couple of weeks and ask for my opinion and recommendations and I will be directing them elsewhere.

Nice place to stay

Felt safe and it is close to the beach

The easy check in and out. The location close to all authentic restaurants and tours, the grounds staff, bartenders and bar chef was forever cheerful and helpful. I did not like the fact that access to the beach was soo restricted. I am usually a 6am sunrise on the beach person, 8/8:30 beach access was a no. Also had an univited two legged vistor first night . Other than that is was great for location, price and interacting with locals.

No hot water in my unit. Bed clean comfy. Sofa too low also no table only a stool which was uncomfortable around the island top. Room clean bathroom clean Supplies provided

This fraudulent site refused to clean my room but once in 8 days. The property details mentioned no cleaning fee but they charge an additional $45/d. Clickbait. Argued each day about towels. Sent a Whats app text agreeing to cancel my reservation and refund my last 3 days of no-stay. As soon as i checked out, they deleted the text and only refunded 2 days and blocked communication from me. The front desk doesnt get involved because there are almost 200 owners of the different rooms. I will never return and DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The only thing I didn't like is the fact I didn't get no fresh towels or any house keeping ☹️ also the fridge was too small no freezer to freeze my things to return home, over all I enjoyed my stay and will come again.

The stay was great. I love that it’s not busy and crowded and it’s peaceful. Nice apartment but the bed was two twin beds and very hard. Overall was great! Love being in town. Definitely will be back!

Clean, friendly staff, communication with owner was amazing.

The apartment was clean. However the loud music did not stop until early morning and people were making noise intil 5am.

I didn't like the music late at night. I didn't sleep well. It's not there fault. There is a club near by. Everything else was fine.

It was not a hotel it was privately own rooms that was not kept up

Very nice loft with all the amenities needed. Great location to the town. Very pleased with the stay.

Propert is in disrepair, unsafe, had to use my phone flashlight on some of the walk ways because there was no lighting.

The property was centrally located which was great for doing things locally. The property had great access to the beach and was lovely with palm trees sprinkled around the property. The bad are not all rooms have similar upkeep. Some needed new curtains, microwave, towels, etc. We had 3 rooms in our party. There is now bar/cafe near the pool that is open to locals. This is a very bad idea as locals hung out around the pool area smoking weed night and day. The local guys would talk to every young lady staying on the property. There was a party of 40 or 50 young ladies staying for classes that was teaching dancehall. Needless to stay these ladies were magnets for local guys as they strut around the property in thong bikinis. Definitely it was not a family atmosphere most days on the pool deck. The pool also needs upkeep as my granddaughter broke out in rashes when she used the pool. Security tried many times to escort local guys off the property but that was a very difficult task as they faced resistance from these guys. I saw several guests complaining to property managers about the atmosphere on the pool deck.

I love the up keep of the property But the rooms need up graded like the area but rooms need updated change paint color bathroom need fan in living area

This place was a mess it’s dirty have roaches it’s not updated it’s very dirty and the owners are very rude. The bathroom have moles the tub and toilet is nasty towels were dirty Tv doesn’t work and the sheets smells funky. I’m going to post all the pictures on social media and the news station this owner needs a little shaken up they can’t rob people like this so not fair.

Overall good stay for the price Easy town access

I traveled with a group with the intention to stay at this hotel. We all booked our rooms at different times but well in advance. However, upon arrival, none of the rooms were available because the “owner” of the room could not be contacted for a code to let us in. I was in a different country, late at night, with nowhere to stay and the hotel had zero care about accommodating or finding a solution. Clearly communication at the hotel is lacking. After waiting for four hours and trying to check-in again, with no luck, I finally asked if there was any type of room that we could pay for and utilize that night. We were offered the “penthouse” which was dirty, didn’t have hot water and absolutely nothing like the pictures. Upon booking these rooms I made sure to call and confirm that the reservation was made and everything was good, not to mention the rooms were all paid for in full at the time of booking. I was unaware at the time of booking that these were private units that were made available on Expedia but managed by Sandcastles since that is the property? When finding out we weren’t able to check into our rooms I asked if they could give us a note or anything of that sort saying that I did arrive and attempt check in the hopes that it would make my attempted refund process easier and they said no. I have been going to Jamaica for 13 years and have never experienced anything like this. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone.

This property is terrible!! Do not stay at this place. The pictures don't do it justice with how bad the place really is. It's super outdated, in a sketchy part of Ocho and not friendly at all.

Location is great, beachfront on the main strip. You can walk everywhere from there. The restaurant is good especially for breakfast.

Ok for the price.

I cannot emphasize enough, this is not what Americans would be accustom to. The units are individually owned & can vary in upkeep. I had 2 units, one was decent, the other less than desirable. Communication was poor from the front desk, nothing is open on the property due to the pandemic. Neighborhood is nice w/a few things open & accessible.

The apartment was very clean and welcoming!was breath taken once I got to the doorway of the apartment remind me of America I did not miss anything everything was in the apartment eg!iron and iron board ,coffee maker.nicely groomed bed matches the curtains just as described on website.inside the apartment painted with very nice colors love!love!love!!!

Horrible customer service, extremely slow to provide any help. Pool is not cleaned with any chemicals, and restaurant is out of majority of the advertised dishes

The Room was privately owned ,which was a surprise. Bed was hard wilt wooden larts for support Kitchen faucet falling off cabinet doors off hinges. Need a thorough fix-up.

The apartment was spacious and clean, with everything we needed. Great wifi. We used the beach access every day, which was super convenient. The restaurant was fine and the pool was nice. The kids played in the open grass areas a bunch. Only drawback was a few very loud dance parties on the beach. If we had not had a beach view they would not have bothered us, but as it was they were very loud until very late.

Staff was terrible.. Not welcoming at all.. Young lady at front desk seemed I was bothering her asking questions... Zero customer service.. no smile no personality.. Will NOT be a returning guest 👎

Nice location, but the room is not what I pay for services was horrible there was roach in my room, no toilet paper and no one check on you and if you want your room clean you will have to pay extra.

We have spent many weeks at Sandcastles resort iver the past several years and this vacation the room was not great. We enjoyed the pool and the beach which were clean and inviting. The resort was ok but we booked a private room which was not what I expected. The staff were iverall friendly.

Room was nice and spacious. They have a very nice restaurant on site. Food was pretty good

Poor Accommodation

Tiles fell off the bathroom wall hitting my wife in the back. Son got electric shock from naked wires on a sockets.

Front desk communication was very Poor they will let anybody in the gate

The worst hotel we have ever stayed at a lot of roches and mice the tv in d 19 bed room was not working. There was a pot underneath the sink in c17 filled with dirty water. There was selection of pots in this apt so I had to bring pots form d19 to make breakfast for my parents who is 80 years old. The hotel was filled with many stray cats it was the worst experience ever

The unit was very clean and the shower was recently updated.

I like it would stay there again staff friendly. Place clean close to all that i wanted to see and visit
