The room was so small it was ridiculous. Barley enough room for our bags. Bathroom was even smaller. Plus side, staff was excellent! The pyramids were across the street so we were not in the room much. Good price, good view, good staff, bad rooms.
Staff lovely. Good value for money. Amazing view from roof top over pyramids. Giza is quite run down or rather typical for egypt. Hotel lovely spot to hang out. Food drink reasonable.
CAN WALK TO THE PYRAMIDS AND SEE THEM FROM THE BAR
I booked two pyramid view rooms paid extra for it then when we arrive on eof the rooms the ac wasn't working and plumbing issues in the bathroom they took is into a second room that had literally no window the only window was on the hallway of the hotel and when i am checking out i figure out that my first room somehow the ac is working and room someone else is staying in it and everything is surprisingly working.very unprofessional staff and service and wouldn't recommend it again.
Staff was friendly and helpful with organizing tours and transportation. Bathroom was really small and AC was not working well.
I loved every single aspect of this hotel. Staff are super friendly. They are very helpful and they are always for if you need something. I would stay again. PLUS is so convenient with the best view ever
You’ll get the best view of the Pyramids from this place. It’s literally right across the street. Excellent stone work inside. Also has an upper deck for eating & observation which is really great. The mattresses are extra firm. Not my preference but the room a/c will freeze you out. Breakfast is included. Not your average western omelette but it’s filling. You Love the view. Unbelievable View and Staff! Review of Sahara Pyramids Inn Pending review The rooms themselves are just fine (I recommend the double deluxe), but not much different than other places. Where this place really excels is with their staff and views. The staff are incredibly friendly and they have 2 rooftop areas with the most incredible views of the Pyramids and Sphinx, with excellent food and atmosphere! A big shout out to Moka, Basha and Islam M!! Do not hesitate to stay here and spend the evenings staring at the amazing views! We will be back for sure!
We loved our stay, and we love the employees, the reception guy was very helpful and the guys from the rooftop were amazing ! We had a good time !
Cheap hotel with great view of the Pyramids from the roof top restaurant.
Staff was super friendly and accommodating. My room was clean and no funky smells. Bottled water was provided. The bed was a futon style pad on a raised box. I had plenty of hot water. The food at the hotel was great. No security box in the room. The hotel has a commanding view of the pyramids is about 30 meters from the entrance to the pyramids park. It’s a great hotel that gives you a feel of old Cairo with all the camels and horse drawn buggies running back and forth. The nightly light show at the pyramids is visible from the balcony. The Spinx is slightly obscured by a tree, but otherwise the view is perfect. The hotel is more of a spartan style hotel for urban explorers that want to stay close to the pyramids. I loved it and would recommend it to a friend. The area has a heavy police presence because of the park and is safe to walk around at all hours. An ATM is just down the road by the entrance to the park. The street vendors can be a nuisance. They stopped bothering me by the end of the second day.
Amazing staff!!!!!! Very friendly and comforting! Amazing time
Staffs are very helpful and nice. Location and view is awesome. Breakfast is not that great, not warm and limited options. Room could be better with some upgrades specifically bathroom, its small, needs cleaning and repair.
The team and the dinner was beautiful
Best things about this property include the view of the pyramids and staff. Very lovely boys that work here... One of them helped us change the room because first one had too much hair on the sheets and covers, I couldn't relax.
Great view of the pyramid light and sound show.
Catfished by room photos
It’s hard to write this, because the staff were very helpful and welcoming and they are what makes this inn a success. We just feel catfished by the photos of the rooms. We booked a deluxe twin room and all the photos showed that it had both a window AND a view of the pyramids. We had no windows in the room at all. The floor space is so small that going to the toilet at night was dangerous. The en-suite was so small, you can’t get up from the toilet properly without bashing the sink. The shower was hot which was good but nowhere to put the towel and water just went everywhere. Someone was right when they said it’s a transit location. We’d booked 2 nights and I wish we hadn’t. The food is good enough to not need to go out. The breakfast isn’t great. But after all of this, the staff were incredible. I can’t fault them at all. It’s the facility itself. It’s our fault, you get what you pay for and we went cheap.
The hotel has good view of pyramid
The staff is awesome. They are respectful, pleasant, hardworking and willing. The property is a death trap, a fire hazard. There are hardly any windows, small tight passageways/corridors, lots of stairs to rooftop restaurant, exposed electrical wiring, even in the shower. No fire extinguishers or sprinkler system in sight. Most rooms have no windows. Our room has a small, tight smelly bathroom, a broken bed, nonstop running water in toilet, no way to turn off a few lights...either sleep with all lights on or in total darkness in a room with no windows. Beware of tour guides, even some hotel staff. Big scams, total shake down for all your money once you decide to hire one of them. Hawkers of all ages, grown men, women and young boys would not leave your side if you walk around the neighbourhood...they are like flies. I would not recommend anyone to stay in this property. On the positive side, it's the proximity to the pyramids and the staff at this property is hardworking, respectful and extremely pleasant.
Staff was very helpful. No windows in room. 4th.floor no.elevator Area outside over run.by pain in the ass touts Camel and horse manure everywhere
It is the perfect location to see the Pyramids of Giza. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and help with any needed we had
Had an amazing time. Staff was polite and professional. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The view of Giza Pyramids with dinner and breakfast made it more memorable. I will be returning next year.
Room with clear view of the pyramids is awesome. They have a good restaurant in the roof so you dont need to go out. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
The Sahara Pyramids is only steps away to the main entrance gate to the Pyramids; It is excellent value for money when considering that. The rate for stay is super (surprisingly) affordable. Having said that, the lodge feels more like a transit location or a place for 1-2 nights max. The rooms need a retouch, and maintenance work should take place when the lodge is closed.
If you want to stay at a hotel in Giza across from the Pyramids with the best view in town this is it. We chose the hotel because of the reviews and we made an excellent choice. The rooms look just like the photos on the website and the terrace bar overlooks the pyramids with a nice selection of drinks and inexpensive well prepared meals. The hotel and bar staff are really friendly and helpful, we booked all our day tours at the front desk after arriving. Our guide Abdul and driver Farid were excellent and really took very good care of us, we cannot say enough good things about them and the entire hotel staff from the cleaners to the owner. We highly recommend the Sahara Pyramids Inn and we would stay here again. You can also arrange to be safely picked up and dropped off at the Cairo airport thru the hotel reception. Another bonus you get free front row seats to the pyramid light show from the hotel terrace bar! The view of the pyramids and the Sphinx from the terrace bar having breakfast or drinks in the evening is simply breathtaking. Thank you for a fantastic stay at the Sahara Pyramids Inn, to all the staff and Abdul and Farid. Regards Jennifer Drayton
We had a very pleasant stay. They provided airport pickup for 25 USD (it’s way more expensive than a Uber but it’s worth it if it’s your first time) We arrived very early (before check in time) and they gave us access to a temporary room to shower and get ready for the day. Our room was good, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the hotel terrace has the best view of the pyramids. The food was really good too and at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!
While Giza is not the nicest place around Cairo, this is a great option for those staying in Giza. Hosts and were hospitable and responsive to our requests and feedback. They helped us organize high-quality last-minute tours. They took care of our luggage after check-out. The food was decent, the decor is nice, and the room was reasonable.
Can’t get a better view of the pyramids! Very attentive staff.
Nice little hotel
We were put in the double room despite me booking a “Deluxe Triple Room”, at the time they told me I booked a double room. But I didn’t have access to my receipt. Now that I’ve logged on hotels.com I can see the room was definitely a double room (as shown on their photos) and my receipt states ‘ Deluxe Triple Room’. With that being said, we only stayed one night so we weren’t too inconvenienced. The gents running the hotel are extremely lovely and we enjoyed talking to them. We arrived late night so we ordered food via room service. The views of the pyramids are so serene, we sat there waiting for our taxi to go airport and during this time we saw the light show. Shisha a was around £2.50, very cheap! The hotel does have a lot of stairs so prob not for people with mobility issues. As others have stated you wouldn’t really stay in the rooms, it’s more just to sleep the night whilst you explore Cairo during the day.
The view of the pyramids is spectacular from the balcony of this property. The staff are very helpful and nice. The property is basically walking distance to the pyramids if you want a bit of exercise. The only thing that was off putting were the dilapidated room, the bedsheets need updating and the toilet has a certain sewage smell.you also need to make sure that when you book your tours with the hotel,it’s what you paid for and the tour guide doesn’t trick you into thinking that you don’t know what’s included in your package. But overall, for the price you pay…you get the best location and best sunset view of the pyramids.
If you are going to visit the pyramids and need a good home to stay while exploring Cairo, Sahara Pyramids Inn is THE BEST hotel to stay at! All of the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. You will also have the closest view of the pyramids than any other hotel. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Hasona and Anas were both super friendly, so they made our stay comfortable! Thank you soo much!
Very nice view of the pyramids and free light and sound show at night from the rooftop. Very friendly staffs and helpful. Rooms are smaller but alright. Location is just right by the entrance to the pyramids.
Location was absolutely fantastic, right in front of the pyramids. The terrace and reception areas are nice, but our room was a bit grittier than anticipated. The staff were very nice and helpful. Overall I'm happy for what we paid.
Amazing family that run this place. So welcoming and hospitable. The view is unbeatable from the property. It is really worth to stay just for the view and great vibe of the area. It is very busy and many barking dogs at night, but you will love the vibe. Smoke shisha from the roof top terrace and watch the Pyramids light show. So much fun. It may a little hard to find, but it is just at the entry gate to the Giza site. Beds are VERY hard.
Great location to enjoy the pyramid of Giza and also the Light show they have in the evenings
Great hotel to see the pyramids including the light show at nights. One night a week the light show is in Spanish.
Nice view, friendly staff, didn't get room paid for
The good things were the view from the roof terraces, and that the staff were reasonably welcoming. The air-conditioning was good and strong too. The bad things were that I didn't get the room I paid for. Paid for the triple deluxe room but they tried to put me in a small windowless room. I mentioned that my booking was for something nicer and they moved me to a bigger windowless room. After my trip I checked online and it's clear I didn't get the room on the photos that I paid extra for. Even though windowless I could hear a rooster outside from 3am. Soundproofing to the corridors isn't good either. The breakfast was bad, and the food and drink on the terrace in general was bad too. p.s. a tip, there's a second roof terrace behind the roof cafe, it's nice to sit there and not feel the need to order food or drink like in the roof cafe.
They went above and beyond for me and my fiancée. The staff was so friendly and helped us through everything learning about Giza and Cairo. The hotel is a family own establishments and it is kept us very well. The next time we come back to Giza we would be honored to come back!
First, the hotel staff were phenomenal. They assisted us throughout the entire stay and were very welcoming and accommodating. They even helped me two days after we departed their hotel when our lost luggage was being delivered to them instead of my forwarded location (even though I clearly told the airline I would be at a different place on that date). Sahara Pyramids Inn contacted me immediately and also called the luggage delivery driver and told them to deliver to my correct address instead. Just amazing hospitality all around. Even for breakfast and dinner. Their roof top cafe is a wonderful and peaceful place to eat and relax. The location is great for touring the pyramids and the view is stunning. The outside location on the streets is another story. It's not that bad but it's not central park either. It's pretty dirty with trash. I don't understand why people dirty a great place like that. Alot of dogs running around and barking at night also. But for the price, you can't beat it. It's not a hotel to stay in the room all day, it's a hotel with great staff and location for you to experience the Giza Plateau and get some good food and enjoy a great view in the mornings and evenings.
Wonderful hotel and staff with outstanding views of the pyramids from the roof top! The staff always so friendly and kind. Checking in on me everyday to make sure I was ok and if I needed anything. Especially Moka and Hasona very kind people! Excellent value for the money and great location. They made me feel at home. When I return to Egypt next year, I will only stay here. Highly recommended Thank you so much!
Excellent property and great value for money. Beautiful view of the pyramids from rooftop terrace. Really enjoyed the delicious free breakfast while gazing out at the pyramids. Staff was very helpful especially Anas who helped us find the best option to the pyramids and let us use the lobby area for a few hours after checkout, thank you!
Amazing hotel and staff
Amazing hotel with amazing staff with view of the pyramids.
Nice and gentle staff, good service, great view from the cafe terrase.
GREAT for the price
It's a cheap price hotel but it is right in front of the pyramids! GREAT breakfast, GREAT view from the roof top and GREAT staff! Hard pillow and small bathroom but for the price.... A+ I had a mix up with my returning flight so I returned back to the Sahara Pyramids and stay another 5 nights. I'm going back in 10 months!
Best place to stay in Giza
Very good place to stay for one night, The hotel manager upgraded my room to the best view room, which I can see three pyramids from our window. They charged reasonable price for the dinner where we sit on the rooftop for viewing the lights and sound show. The breakfast was perfect in my opinion.
The staff was very kind and friendly
Nice facility overall, well decorated. No elevator and on 5 th floor a challenge. Staff excellent. View amazing
The rooms were clean, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Giza..
Amazing view to the pyramids, great location. And really nice and helpful staffs!
A decent hotel with a reasonable price.
A quite fair value for money hotel with a splendid view over the Pyramids. One of the best locations for the light show every evening. A rather decent breakfast was included into the price. We faced no hidden charges or attempts to rip us off. After a day out in Cairo we enjoyed the place as a little quiet escape. All staff members speak a decent English. Some refurbishment is due, but amidst what we saw in the city, I would like to stay there provided we venture a new trip to Cairo.
If you want a perfect view of the Pyramids of Giza & very helpful Staff members then this is the best place to stay! I was very happy here! They went of their help me and make sure i enjoyed my stay! I highly recommend staying here! Its the best!
Beautiful view , and friendly and helpfull hotel staff
Staff was friendly and fun to talk to. The rooms are tiny, but what a view! Can't beat it for the price. Location offers lots of shops and some eateries. We stayed a few days. Top 6th floor level offers some quiet and a nice view. Restaurant was fun at night. Free breakfast included, but wasn't really for us.
El lugar está afrente de las pirámides es lo bueno y el personal muy atento lo demás muy malo lugar sucio en las noches mucho ruido no puedes dormir
The view of the pyramids was fantastic! We watched the sunset and the Sound and Light Show from our room, and woke up with a full view of the three major Pyramids. The room itself was not so great! The sheets were terrible, the shower drain was clogged, and this room was a deluxe room! The service was great! The staff carried our luggage up to the fourth floor. We thank them! One man escorted us down the street at night to buy some incidentals. I would recommend staying here if they would buy new sheets and fix the drains!
awful
This hotel is at best a 1 star hotel. No elevator, the only thing air conditioned is a very hot area is the room. The bathroom is barley big enough to fit in! The shower head was broken, no curtain on the shower, water goes everywhere. If you want to ride a carriage to the pyramids, walk down the street and make a deal with someone there. The hotel overcharges for it and has a "guide" there who drives the carriage and then scams you for a tip. He told me some people give him $50 or $100 as a tip. What a joke. Then he takes you to his camel photo guy who hassels you for a ridiculous tip. I gave him $12 and he wanted another $20, all for 1 photo by his camel. There are excellent hotels in downtown Cairo for not much more money. Unless you're broke, look for another place.
The best view of the Giza Pyramids you can get and the staff there treats you like family!
Friendly, generous, great customer service the view indescribable, You feel like home.
Room service was very kind and helpful. The restaurant on the roof has a very nice view of the pyramids. Workers were always happy and helpful, especially Anas, he made the stay very easy. And the air conditioning is very good, which by is important since it gets hot in Egypt.
Nice & clean room ,clean bathroom ,maybe they should supply it with the soup, but the room service guys & especially front desk are very helpful & friendly, the view of the pyramids complex is stunning, & being that close to the sound & light show, you won't even need to go down there to watch it ,you can wach the whole show right from the terace, i got the deluxe triple room (3 beds) i reallly consider this place for another stay in future :)
Easily one of the best views of the Pyramids in all of Giza! The staff at the hotel was available 24/7. They were friendly and always went above and beyond to assist! Nearby eateries and shops were convenient. Very safe location as well! I would certainly stay there again!
I didn't like anything about this place! The hotel is clean at the reception but the rooms are poor. Electric cables hanging out the walls sockets are loose, the toilet is so close to shower screen you cannot sit on it properly. Cockroach in the shower. The owner is a rip off merchant, dont trust them. Cost me $600 for the couple of hours i spet with them. Not impressed at all! Terrible place!
This place felt like a home aside from my home from the moment I stepped in. The staff is like family and treat you as their own. The views are breathtaking and the convenience of having the time of your life in Egypt was priceless.
Good view and customer service. Alot thing's nearby. Well recommended!
Unclean, still being built. Breakfast on roof good however no where to eat or go in evenings. We ordered meal for evening. Not cooked on premises by time food delivered it was cold. Dangerous electric cables/wires. Excellent view of pyramids. Family run business, very helpful owner and staff. Cleanliness was big issue. Partner refused to stay, wanted to go home. Contacted Expedia to move to another hotel, cost additional £450 !!! It was either that or find flight home. No alternative but to pay.
The service is really good but the rooms are not nice and have a weird smell.
Astonishing, perfect place for the sightseeing, rooms facing the pyramids. The breakfast was good and fresh. The owner was really nice to us and of course he got that Egyptian sense of humor. I'll definitely recommend this place. Nice time guys!
This place is so wonderful. It is literally only 15 metres away from the front entrance of the Great Pyramids. This means that every night you can watch the Pyramid ‘light and sound show’ from the comfort of the hotel’s rooftop balcony for free (which saves you over 200 pounds!) And because it is so close to the entrance it is in a very safe and quiet area that is protected by security guards and police 24x7. The hotel is run by a family that provides the warmest and friendliest of hospitality and is happy to assist with anything, at anytime. The host, Tamer assisted me with organising all my tours and was able to offer combine multiple tours into two days at a very good price. He also organised me to have the most amazing tour guide, Sherif Khattab who was incredibly knowledgable — not only of all the pyramids but also at the Egyptian Museum, but also with the Alexandria catacombs and Alexandria Library. Sherif also provided great recommendations and took me to places that I could buy gifts for my whole family. In addition to this, he did all the negotiating with will all locals whenever I needed to buy goods or services. For all tours he never left my side and protected me from being hassled by any locals and did all purchases of transactions or services on my behalf to ensure I was never ripped off. If you wish for a genuine, warm, safe and memorable experience, then look no further.
This was a top-notch place for budget travel. I would say this is the CLOSEST HOTEL to the Sphinx & Pyramids in all of Egypt! The ticket booth to see the Sphinx & Pyramids is about 1,000 feet from the front door. You can see the light show for free (on the upper deck) and avoid the pesky crowds. There is also a Pizza Hut/KFC within a few-thousand feet of the hotel :). I would say the hotel was refurbished/opened in the past 90-days, so, better accommodations than most budget hotels. The toilets, beds, tv, infrastructure is new. The staff is very helpful and kind....and no, I don’t work for the hotel. Note: While in Cairo, utilize Uber (cheaper) and realize a lot of places have small water heaters for showers...so, no 1-hour showers that are warm here. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. It was MUCH better than all my budget hotels I stayed at in Egypt. Also...tip...seems to be a lot of dog-fights at the bottom of the Sphinx’s feet around midnight each night (wild animals everywhere in Egypt). If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs...(this is obviously not the hotel’s fault). Erin from San Diego, CALIFORNIA, USA
The one thing I can say about this hotel is YOU are treated like family! We arrived late evening due flight delay. Our driver sent by the hotel waited a couple hours to pick us up. He was a pleasant young man. Once we got to the hotel we were shown our room and the two roof top decks. The temperature was cold and as we sat with a welcome drink on top deck overlooking the pyramids my companion was shivering so the employee gave her his jacket. It was late but they brought us a pizza. We booked two fabulous private tours through the hotel. The meals were superb and the service excellent. The view of the 3 pyramids and the Sphinx could not have been any better. Highly recommend this Inn. Thank you for the hospitality.
This is the absolute best property with the closet view of the Giza plateau. Absolutely amazing views
Staffs here are so friendly like my family. They kindly listened my request. The view from the room was beautiful. I was able to see the night show of the great pyramids. I had a wonderful time. Thank you.
A spectacular view of the pyramids plus a nice selection of tours. Hotel service was great. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that your experience in Egypt is one to remember. Definitely worth coming back to the hotel.

Great location. Rooms are small. But managable.
