The staff were amazing. They were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food served during breakfast was delicious. Overall I had a good experience while staying in this hotel.

The room is large and clean. It has a gym plus swimming pool. Nice staff from front desk to dining room. Breakfast is great if you love sweets. Note: this hotel doesn’t accept local currency.

Well maintained hotel with great in house dining options. Very secure. Staff were very courteous, responsive and professional. Great in-house dining. The breakfast is out of this world. One of the best I’ve seen in w . Door men really do a great job, they remember you great and assist you in getting transportation.

The music that play in the pool is very loud and bother the room, the boy who clean the room is reaching late always , I didn’t find the slippers and asked for one when i just reach but they give it to me until the night , and the price is very high compare to the services they provide

The staff at the hotel are absolutely wonderful... I thank the reception for their hospitality and the speed of their work... The hotel is vary dirty and no room cleaning and then I enter the room on the first day of my booking the bad room and the bathroom was vary dirty and the photos are different then the reality

I am not sure if the hotel had a fitness room. Breakfast was ok. They should allow guests to get their own coffee and tea. It’s inconvenient to wait for waitresses to bring you the drinks. They were slow.

Restaurant & food is excellent and staff are amazing

Excellent location and excellent staff. Buffet breakfast and dinner were very good with a great variety of healthy foods plus many desserts. We ate at the hotel every day. There is some noise from outside street car horns and barking dogs. It did not affect our sleep.

Had a great stay at the Safir, staff were great! - especially Ahmed at the front desk (who went out of his way to arrange a birthday cake for me!) and door man Mohammed, they were so welcoming, helpful and polite - they were fantastic!

The friendliness of the staff is heartwarming and being in the middle of everything with 15 to 35 minutes away from all main attractions is certainly a plus but they need to do a more renovated approach towards their room ambience and outlets.

Ashraf Wefky welcomed us and checked us in! His hospitality was much appreciated and he even sent us some fruits and sweets as a welcome gift! Such a nice man. We had some questions about the fridge and AC and they came and addressed them right away!! As for breakfast, there were many different items to choose from. We had a nice stay!

Hotel location is good ,, the housekeeping team keep the room clean. The front desk super friendly ,,,When my family come visit me they ask for ID I think this is really not a five-star hotel act,,, one more thing, around the pool area service was amazing and friendly by a guy name is Yasser he is super friendly … hotel need some work done the furniture is old and outside the hotel the taxi guys so annoying,, other than this, I will stay again in the hotel….

The best 5 star in Cairo - forget the Four Seasons

Outstanding aa always. We have stayed here over 20 times for work over the last few years. Forget the Hilton, intercontinental or any of the others, this is true Egyptian hospitality at its best. You will be in real Cairo with everything from kiosks, laundry services, gyms and street shops all around you but also the best breakfast in Cairo. We had Christmas dinner last night here which was exceptional. It is our home fr home here and we are grateful always for the professionalism and love from the staff.

This hotel is filthy, we had a suite and it looked nothing like the pictures. The countertops in our room and dirt marks I ended up wiping down with sanitizing wipes I brought. The vents are dirty, the food was disgusting, after each meal my husband and I felt sick to our stomachs. I ordered a salad hoping that with a simple blan meal I should be fine and the lettuce was not washed! I couldn’t wait to check out. I didn’t feel comfortable. Neither did my husband. Don’t waste your money here.

Cairo stay

This hotel is a great option and good alternative to triple more expensive western brand hotels. Serves full buffet (hot and cold) breakfast, has a SPA center, a la carte restaurant and coffee shop.

Staffs are quite helpful

The rooms were clean, very comfortable. The staff were amazing and very helpful . I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cairo as the location was good too.

The hotel is dated… the surrounding area is horrible (abandoned buildings, very dirty streets, a lot of local cab drivers hassling you as you exit the building, all in all very terrible location. I would give the staff an ‘A’ for their effort accommodating us. In the end this is not a hotel for westerner to stay at.

Good overall its like a meh 4 star hotel

Building is absolutely beautiful. The property itself is in a really nice neighborhood that has a lot to do but the absolute best part of this entire hotel experience is the staff. I would come again just for the amazing and kind staff. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

When we arrived the dresser which had the TV on was dirty and never cleaned the whole week we were there.

Outstanding service

It was an amazing experiences esp traveling during covid pandemic. Their on site covid test is fast and convenient. They literally did in the comfort of our room at night time after we were done with the full day agenda. Compared to our trip in Mexico in Feb, we stayed in a 5-star hotel specifically for covid test but their test was only available in the morning and arrived in the mid afternoon. My friend had early morning flight next day who ended up doing the test in the airport. It Really defeated our purpose of spending a night there. Truly appreciate the outstanding service the Safir hotel Cairo provided. They do have our best interests in mind.

First, the good stuff. Relatively nice area of Cairo. Solid staff and breakfast. Got my return to America PCR conveniently. Comfortable rooms, though I was on an upper floor. Some lower floors likely have traffic noise. The not so good were some of the ridiculous covid precautions. For the breakfast buffet they turned around all the tray openings so that the staff person behind the counter can serve you. The reality was that everyone reached completely over to take their own food. They (as much of Egypt now) individualize tableware in wasteful plastic pouches (even one-time use plastic spoons). As you enter the hotel, they take your temperature and try to put sanitizer on your hands.

The traffic

Great hotel- focused on customer service, comfort

Very attentive and service oriented staff who were on their feet to make guests feel comfy and welcome. I was able to checkin at noon (early). On first day, they set a complimentary fruit basket. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choices. 1.5L water bottle was provided daily (unlike most hotels who provide 1 or 2 small bottles when when it is complimentary). Wifi was good, I was able to work smothly. Wall plugs are suited for all types. They assist in PCR test also at the hotel itself, its a bit expensive but convenient. Overall a great hotel, with great service. I will certainly stay if I will go back to Cairo and would highly recommend others to stay here as well.

the food was so good, however the furniture of the hotel need to be replaced with a new one. also the staff of the front desk and the resturant was so polite and supportive.

I would stay again in this hotel

It is one of the best hotels..nice swimming pool, gym room, steam room.. very good breakfast. Very clean. Walking distance to metro station, close to down town..friendly staff. Good follow up with guests to achive satisfaction.. I will stay again for the amount I paid.. I woul recommend it to my friends..

Entertainment is WAY too loud!!!!!

The hotel is a very nice hotel. Though, if you want to sleep before 11::00-midnight, it’s impossible. At the pool each night they have entertainment. The music is roaring. I would guess the sound level at 100-105 dB. The music is pounding and loud making it impossible to sleep. The room is definitely not soundproof. It’s so loud it’s like the band is in your room. I had to catch a plane early, couldn’t get to sleep until midnight. So, if you if you want to sleep before midnight, find a different hotel. There are several nice ones in downtown Cairo.

The reception is not what we expected, they need more to be able to gain costumer full satisfaction.

It was great

Very pleasant stay but....

My overall stay was very pleasant. However, I am not quite happy during check in. My son and I arrived at the hotel earlier than the check in time (around 1130 am) We were checked in but the room is not available. I am perfectly ok with that and I asked the reception staff if I can leave our luggage so we can go out, get some food and start our city sight seeing. Two staff at the reception assured me that its ok to leave my luggage and someone will assist me shortly.. An hour later, we are still at the lobby with our luggage, my son and I are starving. I felt being completely ignored by the reception staff (please note my son and I are directly sitting right across the reception area, I didn't have a huge luggage, just two carry ons and my son's small back pack). I even made frequent eye contact with the reception staff to no avail. I follow up twice and asked when someone will assist us- still with no action. So I resorted communicating via social media (Facebook) and finally, someone paid attention and our luggage were taken cared. It was almost 1 PM by the time we left and this had a significant impact on our planned sightseeing in the city. The room was very clean and nice. We slept really good. We were not able to use the pool because by the time we get back to the hotel, the pool is already close (again- that delay of leaving our luggage had a significant impact on our schedule). We ordered room service and the food were freshly prepared and delicious.

Nice hotel, clean environment, perfect service, friendly staff and food was good… I enjoyed staying there.

It’s ok but not 5 stars

There is no way the hotel is 5 stars. Very old and need renovating. They don’t provide milk in the room which is strange. The food is very expensive. The only good thing is the location but other than that the hotel is average and deffo not 5 stars. 3 stars I would stay, this is coming from a traveler who knows what 5 stars is!

Safir - Egyptian hospitality at its best

Great hotel, in a great area surrounded by small shops, you also have kiosks and pharmacies and stores and chicken shops everywhere! So its a convenient location - the staff are incredibly kind and fun and professional. Exceotional service, especially the women on reception and in the restaurant, they just excelled. We have moved rooms but it was a personal issue but both rooms were a decent size and the beds BIG - the large double is LARGE! The pool is calm and the gym is well equipped with a smith machine, ez and olympic bars, dumbells up to 30kg, should and chest machine, lat pull down and cable machine with attachments - alright for make do training session, (I compete). In all very happy here, been here 2 weeks with business and you wont be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this place. I was at another place and left it to go here. This place was amazing and everyone was so nice and helpful. Wonderful breakfast! I felt this hotel went way beyond keeping things clean and checking people as they came in by taking tempuratures and sanitizing your hands. I can not find one thing I would want to change at this hotel.
