Great place great staff at a low price

This place is located a minute from patong Beach. The hotel is clean and its staff is extremely friendly and very helpful with any need you may have. It has a good seafood and international restaurant connected to it. But once again the staff makes it a great place to stay. I don't recommend this but I left for a tour early in the morning and forgot to lock the in-room safe which I left my valuables and a lot of money in. After over 9 hours I came back My room was completely clean and everything in the safe was intact. So does I was very pleased to find out the staff was honest as well. I will be staying there again.

Right next to Bangla Road, Tuk Tuks and a minute walk from the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and well kept.

A great place to stay.

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms where very nice and the service was excellent. The rate at the hotel was much higher than we paid via the Hotels.com app. Due to COVID only one restaurant was open and it was really over priced for what we got. I had lobster and it was served with a dry salad and a cold dry Jacket potato. I would stay here again but maybe not eat at the restaurant. The location is great right on the beach and next to the walking street.

BEWARE!!! Thieves at this hotel

HORRIBLE!!!! I booked 3 rooms for 3 nights. We checked in at 7:30pm. Walking down the hall we observed water leaking through the ceiling with several towels on the floor to absorb the water. We dropped our bags, freshened up counted my money and put valuables in room safe. We returned at 11pm. Went to the room safe to confirm valuables were all accounted for. Low and behold! I am short $200 US. Went to front desk to report missing. The lady at the front desk me I would have to wait until morning to speak to manager. Went back to my room on the way there my children who were in the other two rooms stopped me and told me neither of their toilets were operable. And the maintenance person told us no one there could fix them until tomorrow. I got online immediately and booked a room at the BLOC HOTEL which is a hotel in the same block and moved. The Safari Hotel refunded the money for two nights that I was not there but charged me for the first night and I am out $200 cash. The thief relied on me not missing the $200 from the $1500 that was in the envelope. I am sure the thief did this many times before.

It was nothing like the advertising photos. Our Room had a rusty leading airconditioner, blocked toilet, peeling paint of walls, damp smelly room not impressed with the hotel. Breakfast was ok. The location was great.

This a great little hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. the rooms are very nice, especially for the price. I was in town for songkran and it was a crazy party on Bangla road and could here it till the early hours, the rest of the year should be great.

The staff and restaurants where great. The mattress was older than me.

The breakfast is not connected to the hotel, I thought I paid for breakfast but I hadn't. It is 400thb per day for breakfast and they wouldn't take card even though there is a big sign saying mastercards welcome. If you want to be very close to banglah Rd its good. I think its over priced and noisy from the main air con motor, when your on the grounds of the hotel. Maybe noise from bangla Rd too. I stayed in a different hotel for about half the price eight years ago and it was better.

Location good, more maintenance required, dining facilities and food véry good and staff very friendly.

Real value for the price. Staff was helpful and the location was excellent and convenient. The restaurant on the property was excellent as well.

It is right on the beach. Makes for easy access. About a block from Banga Road. Not good if you’re a light sleeper, usually the noise goes on until four 430 in the morning.

Stayed at the beginning of my trip to Phuket and at the end, at the end of the trip was when tropical storm Pabuk hit the area, although I had checked out the reassured me that is something happens to the flight I can come back and stay in the room. Well my flight was delayed and and they let me come back for the night. The beds are a little hard, all else is great.

Location, location, location... We truly enjoyed having a quiet space that's literally in the middle of Stores, Patong Beach, Night Clubs, Restaurants, and Street Vendors. It's a hidden jewel with very helpful staff. The rooms look much nicer in person than in the photos. The pool was nice, but the hotel can definitely expand their amenities.

Good hotel, but was extremely, extremely annoyed that we found out at check in that we were not part of the main hotel building. We had to cross the very busy road, and through a small shopping centre and into what looked to be an old hostel. I should say it was clean, but we were in an annexed part above Thai massage shops and the window view was ov tourists getting massage in the corridors of the shopping centre part. This is not advertised on the site or in the small print. Yes we picked the smallest room, but still not the point. Great location as it is right across the road from the beach, with restaurants, bars and lots of street food, and 10metre walk to the Bangla Road strip which is full of bars.

Perfect location, nice restaurant, free water daily. Music thumping from nearby walking street went until 5am, wasn’t too bad. Perfect location, nice sunsets across the road.

It’s Patong!! Nice hotel very near beach! Best location for all hotels. What the locals already know, the hotel restaurant has amazing Thai food. Definitely try this restaurant. The whole staff at this hotel was amazing! The manager at restaurant was amazing!

Good central location. Horrible sound insulation in the rooms and uncomfortable beds.

Totally happy with my experience at the Safari Beach Hotel. I enjoyed sitting out on my balcony listening to the live music from the restaurant, watching the occasional rain and enjoying the warm weather. Room was very comfortable, quiet and spacious. Great location next to Patong Beach, walking street and everything I needed. Highly recommend and would stay there again with hesitation.

Is 4 star but wear and tear makes it 3.5. However the position is unmatched

BEWARE BED BUGS

This was by far the most horrfic hotel experience of my life!! I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with high expectations as it has such good location and a beautiful pool area. During our first night my friend woke up covered in bites as we discovered bed bugs, it was 3am and we had to change rooms, the next morning we inspected the bed of our second room and discovered it also wasn’t clean and there were several stains, we all also under covered more bites on our bodies. We explained the situation calmly again and got moved to a 3rd room with looks from the receptionist, the lack of communication and understanding from the staff was appalling!!! The staff seemed very annoyed and blamed us for the bed bugs. The would not offer a refund or discount. This literally ruined our whole trip we couldn’t sleep in fear of being covered in bites again. This hotel has great location but the WORST staff and cleanliness I have ever seen! This is not worth your money, there are pleantly other hotels in the surrounding area. Worst hotel experience ever!

Good hotel, professionelle staff price also ok

The hotel is verry, the Peoples at the reception verry good end verry gentel. The Restaurant is verry good endamazing. The breakfast is verry smal end cheap, with out fantasy. In the night is laut to early in the morning. Som one how need go too bed early, is absolutly on the rong place. For Party Peoples the right place. 200 meters end the party night can start

Good and Bad about Safari

The best thing about Safari Beach is location! It is located right next to all the main attraction in Patong, Patong Beach, Blangla Road, Shopping Street, and restaurants... I have enjoyed my stay there, and the staff has shown great hospitality and friendliness to my partner and I. However, the internet speed in the hotel is, what I can describe as 'SUPERBLY HORRIBLE!'. For the last 4 days staying with Safari, I have never got a decent reception of internet connection, although the staff claimed that they have already resolved the issue! Surprisingly, the outdoor Phuket free internet is way faster and reliable than the hotel wifi. The room is generally clean... but looks a bit rundown. When we first entered the room, there was a strange odor, which after we allowed the AC to run for a while, the weird smell went away. The pool is another badly maintained facility, where the water looks dirty (green in colour) and the pool side tiles were all broken, to the extend that my partner cut himself on his legs, and bled badly!

Great location for night life.

Great location for the night life of Patong. Cross the road from beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious enough, same with bathroom spacious enough but need some renovation. Stating to show wear and tear. Other wise good value for what you pay, but it isnt a five star hotel, not that they claim to be.

Great location for beach, restaurants and bars. Refreshing pool and excellent staff. Downside is the proximity to an all night dance club with very loud constant doof doof

Good location But.....

If you are seeking a basic hotel with a good location this is the place. Not recommended for families. If you are a light sleeper or can not handle doof doof, don’t come here. The hotel is run down and the staff are very laid back but nice. My room was clean and the safari deluxe is not more than a 3.5 Star. However you are in Thailand to have a holiday so be a little less critical hey! Ps. The only good cappuccino in patong is the coffee club. Their eggs Benedict are very good as well. As you walk around buy a fresh coconut juice, banana pancake. Both 50 baht. Great value.

Russian party’s at the family mart shop next door

3 nights of barely any sleep group of very loud yelling and singing with a crazy loud pa speaker playing house music From the nebouring familymart until 6AM!!!!! But also in the afternoon from inside the building at the massage salon very loud and irritating music until 1PM So if you like to sleep in your room don’t book this hotel (I even tried earplugs and noise canceling headphones on top and did not work)

hotel and staff great, rooms ok but usual Thai beds so a bit hard, great location for beach and nightlife, if like me 60+ and need some sleep the night time after 1 am is very noisy, till 5 / 6 am, but no problem if you want to party .the hotel isn't noisy itself its the location to Bangla rd, the hotel has a great quiet pool and a wonderful fish restaurant next door where they serve the breakfasts

The Safari was an amazing place to stay All staff were wonderful very helpful Always smiling The restaurant both were amazing just such fresh delicious food we ate there many nights The beach facilities across the road were absolutely fantastic

Needs update

Good hotel, close to the beach and to the vibe!

I recommend this hotel only if you want to have party all the time! It's very close to beach, and it's just on the corner of Bangla road, that means you are in middle of the happenings. Pro and contra, because it's always noisy, loud music banging until 5 in the morning. The garden and the pool area is ok, the room quality is fine for the local standards, the staff is nice and easygoing. The mattress in the bad is pretty hard, sometime there is no hot water (usually at evening and night), but otherwise it's a nice hotel to spend a couple of days in Patong Beach's party district.

Good location at hotel

For the price you pay it's a good location. The amenities are none. You have to leave your key with the front desk every time you leave and ask for it when you come back in. The room is kind of humid, it does have AC though.

Overall great stay.

Staff were great. Overall hotel facilities were also great. Only issue was that the shower in our room wasn't amazing.

A very bad hotel and it’s policies

Expect the location, nothing is great about this hotel. No cupboard, no complimentary tea or coffee sachets in the room. Very small rooms. Complimentary breakfast was awful.

Location is LOud and Music Loud all night,

Rooms are aged, only a couple of electrical outlets and only 2 prong. Security of the doors are lacking as they only have the push button door knob lock. Had problems with the toilet not flushing. Jacuzzi was not working and the staff said a part was on order. Maintenance of pool area was lacking. I had to go to the front desk and ask them to send someone to pickup the trash left around the pool and tables. A boy came and missed picking up half. The staff here is rude and not very helpful. When I asked for a phone number to contact the front desk I was told dial 0, when I tried the number they never answered.

Terrible experience!

Desk staff told me ‘my’ room is across the street. Loud thumping music until 3:00am. Security (?) was talking very loudly until wee hours, echoing in the lobby. Massage staff started hawking loudly early in the morning, again, from the lobby to the sidewalk. Total disregard for guests. There was no peace, and I was exhausted from very little sleep.

I had the Beach wing room over looking the ocean. Includes a private pool with 3 other rooms and private chairs. Your on vacation pay the extra for this room. Guest friendly and the location is right near Bangla Rd. 2min walk.

As it was only a short stay, it provided me with everything I could have wanted, with the exception of hot water, its a shame it has been allowed to be run down, the owners need to bring it up to a good 3.5 - 4 star rating. Getting rid of the old over grown garden would help to allow more light into the front and take away the dampness that was present. But overall, my stay was great, Ive rebooked for 3 weeks at Christmas.

Descent for the price hotel has two main buildings across the street from each other the one with the reception Desk is not on the beach side We stayed on the beach side it feels like apartment building especially when there is maasge/ $!#*& as you enter building I would not recommend for coppels and families unless you stay on the side with the reception also I wouldn't leave anything valuable in the rooms any body can walk up the stairs no security what so ever

A budget hotel with a good tropical vibe.

We made the most of this hotel. Not fancy at all. Only stay in the Beachwing sea view rooms. ( 5 total) $83.00 a night ( you will not find that with a beachfront room for that price anywhere. We had the best room. The Savoey rest. Super famous in Phuket for their seafood. Busy every night we were there on the street side. Delicious! Staff does their very best to make you happy. Lower your expectations and really enjoy yourself... trust me you'll spend plenty on all the activities.

Nice hotel right next to the beach

It was a pleasant stay. I have stayed at the hotel(beach front) for 5 days. Good view. Kind staffs. Location was great too - near to bangla road. My room was only a minute to patong beach(just downstairs).

Room Quality

I had a chance to use this hotel in the past and i was put in the first floor. I was pleased with the room. However, this round, i was put up in the second floor and i couldn't be more disappointed. -The wood flooring were totally worn off. -The door did not have a digital lock so you have to push the button from the inside before you leave the room. -The shower head was very old and the water pressure/mixer control was bad and inconsistent. -Furniture looked very old and worn. -The walls outside the room looked old, stained and very displeasing. I doubt I will ever come back to Safari Beach again. At the same rate, you may get better hotels around Patong Beach.

Don't be fooled by the images they look great. After u realize the kind of room you booked for a basic room in a tropical place you would think the basic of a refrigerator in every room would be essential . I tried to switch rooms but at an exhorbitant cost. Guess I just have to use the trash bin as a Cooler to keep buying ice to keep my drinks cold .i know it sounds ghetto but when your coming in from The beach and need a cold one it's life saving. Rooms were clean and decently sized washrooms except for the ones in the better rooms are show cased. Personally a bit deceiving. What saved this place was the early morning breakfast. Pay in advance through hotels. Don't do it through hotel they will find a way to charge you more for every simple request i.e. More towels is what I found out as I was checking out and this couple was arguing about the exhorbitant charge for extra towels.

We had a bad experience with this hotel. When we arrived - 2 family (4 persons) the hotel was overbooked and they gave us rooms that are below any level. Low ceilings, damp ceilings, broken doors and windows, all wet ... We are looking to stay stopped after one day of use because we arrived late with what they agreed. We contacted Hotels.com where we agreed to give us back the money without that one day. We had to look for another hotel in this town. Overall a bad experience. Zoran Kostadinović

Good mid-level hotel close to the beach

Hotel is average, Wi-Fi is not real strong but it works. Just a three minute walk to the beach. I've stayed here three times they treat you Pretty good.

Rats in the Hallway

If you don't mind rats, leaky AC, lights that don't work then it's a fine hotel otherwise avoid!

I had a very good time... Location was excellent 30 meters from the beach 30 meters from Bangla Road... Surprisingly quiet considering location staff was awesome... Bed could have been a little more comfortable... I prefer a little softer mattress... Room is very clean..excellent location for restaurants and nightlife... Pool area excellent... Again staff was phenomenal

the bed was like a Rock.

It was a nice walkable Location to the most popular beach with all the bars and clubs. Except it was next to a fish market which made the hotel and area around it smell horrible.

Website photos are much nicer than reality. Staff need to smile more. We booked thai deluxe room and the pics showed really big room with separate kitchen, not true advertising at all. Balcony view said pool view. What we got was a white wall full of aircon units to look at. Not great experience but resort location is good but definitely not beach front.

Rooms tired but very clean and nice!

First time Phuket, been to Bali heaps so really wanted somewhere different, beachy, and everything close at hand without relying on taxis or public transport. Safari Beach was perfect and ticked all the boxes! But ... the hotel rooms weren't soundproof so all times of day and night chatter, chatter and more chatter... very annoying guests coming home at 2am and laughing and talking about the great night they had! This was really my only complaint, but a big one and it really tarnished all the other great stuff that this well located excellent value for money offers.

Decent hotel for the price.

Stayed in numerous hotels in and around Patong. Overall Safari Beach was a good experience. Hotel has good location and beautiful grounds. Could use a little bit of renovation in hallways, but rooms and pool area are beyond adequate.

Convenient clean and relaxing

Wifi was a bit inconsistent. Beds were really hard. The convenience and closeness to facilities was excellent. The pool and breakfast was also excellent. Staff were all happy and helpful.

Great price, rooms are looking a little older now

So we did have a great stay here, the price is good, the location is great, the staff were helpful but the rooms are starting to feel a bit tired now and the internet was a bit of a problem for us there.

only thing annoying is that the swimming pool is closed at 6pm everyday which is quite ridiculous! You don't have time to enjoy the pool after island tour. Next to bangla street and beach. Good massage in front.

Rooms Need updating. Terrible wifi

My room was large but needed updating. It had a funny smell but that might be because it was close to the beach. The WiFi is absolutely terrible, going in and out. Googling one thing took about 15 minutes. i don't recommend if you Will be doing any type of work while on vacation as k was. Not great value.

Wifi didn't work in the room. Hotel not on beach front as suggested in advertisement. Room was clean and staff were friendly however the air conditioning wasn't great.
