It was lovely in quiet, apart from the sails flapping in the wind at night , but no street noise which is great

Apartments were great an also awesome for family stay comfortable rooms were definitely worth the price an sizes would definitely recommend staying here happy with our stay kids were also happy with it being a birthday celebration stay away and also would be nice get away to stay with partner . You definitely wouldn't be disappointed

Wonderful place to stay for a little while or an extended period. Our apartment was an upstairs lake front location and the views of the lake were incredible! The layout of our apartment was excellent with enough space in each room for storage. The bathrooms were well designed and roomy with skylight for natural light to stream through. The kitchen area had every amenity. The property is well maintained and secure. Lorraine, the manager was welcoming, friendly and very efficient. Thank you, Lorraine! Highly recommend.

The incinerator isn’t grinding well in penthouse B. Strong smell of garlic in ar4ival I used detergent to assist grind lemon and tea bags not sure if blades are missing or blunt? I will certainly come back loved it here

Relaxing stay

Very nice property and helpful staff at check in. The bed was very comfortable and the property was very clean. small issues, the toilet was constantly running and it would have been nice to have beer glasses.

Highly recommended. Friendly and helpful team. The room looks over the lake and is well designed to make the most of the sunsets. Just note that it sits on a geothermal area, so you have a hot water springs and beach right in front. For winter, get the ground floor unit because it is like permanent underfloor heating! For summer, get a upper floor as it gets too warm at times on the ground.

Beautiful waterfront apartment with spacious interiors. Wonderful amenities and well equiped kitchen. Beautiful sunset over the lake which is breathtaking.

A lovely lakeside property with nice walks along the lake. Rooms are large and spotless with everything you need. Easy parking in attached garage.

Fabulous position with stunning lake view. Enjoyed the hot tub, full kitchen, 3 bedrooms, comfy lounge with plenty of seating for relaxing and dining. I wouldn’t rate the property itself as luxury 5 star however, as it needs some maintenance and updating, especially in bathrooms.

Spacious Apartment

Check in easy, manager friendly and polite. We stayed in room 9 and it was clean comfortable, warm and well equipped. Would happily book again and have no idea why bad reviews as our experience was all positive.

Good setup, staff very friendly,had room connecting direct to pool, was nice and big.only stayed 1 night so didn't get to explore property but would stay again

Simply wonderful - a true treat

Always nice to stay here

Lets start with the positive. The location is amazing, with easy access to the waterfront walkway. The service from Bernie and the cleaning team was great. Unfortunately the unit itself let the rating down. It was very tired looking, with stained carpet and marked walls in dire need of a repaint. The furniture was also worn and needed replacement. If you stay here, avoid unit 9 and head for the lake front units which look to be in much better condition. I would go back, but wouldnt stay in that unit.

Loved the waterfront location and it was close enough to walk into Taupo. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub was awesome!

Our suite was very spacious and room for the 4 of us with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms were very modern and all was very clean. The pool was nice and the boardwalk was right in front of the property. It was a short drive to town so very convenient.

Disappointing

The position of the apartment is amazing and it is incredibly well equipped, however we had a major in the fact we couldn't use the outside terrace area in the daytime because the sunshades had been damaged, this meant the children couldn't go outside and use the hot.tub as it was just too hot. If.we had been informed in advance we could have made other plans. We we're even informed at check-in about the issie, it was only when we tried.to close the blinds and called reception that they told us the blinds were broken. We weren't even offered a rebate on the cost.

Was only given two towels the second night and two pool towels even though there was 3 of us. The cleaners left a bag of rubbish outside the door from them cleaning that day.

Very very satisfied trip in this apartment! With SPA, with bikes

We booked three bedrooms lake view and without our knowledge and approval, we were moved to a two bedroom penthouse. The kids have to sleep in the same room which means they did not get much sleep. It is extremely cocky of management to not even call us prior to our trip and update. We landed and got told we can only have two bedrooms. We booked and got confirmation of three bedrooms at least three months ahead of our trip. Not going back again.

Absolutely Perfect!

Amazing location and view, amazing facilities and amazing hosts. The whole family loved it but 2 days wasn't enough. Cant recommended this place any higher than 5 stars but they should get 10!

The hot pool and geothermal tubs were a spectacular cherry on the lovely cake of a spacious, beautiful, fully equipped suite. I wish we'd stayed longer, as the waters left us all feeling refreshed and invigorated in a really special way!

Nice place to stay

Andy and Mel were friendly. Caitlyn was awesome. We extended our stay thanks to Caitlyn. We even upgraded to the Penthouse We were staying in the Thermal 3 Bedroom, near the heated pool. It was noisey. The lights were flickering. We had to go to Reception to get toilet paper, and towels. We got none in the room. One of the sliding doors didn’t lock. These are just some of the things we encountered So, we upgraded, thinking it would be better. We went to a 2 Bedroom Penthouse. The AC in the Master Room needed to be replaced. The bathroom doors were noisey, so we had to open them. The sliding doors were noisey with the wind blowing. The outdoor furniture moved a lot, so we had to make sure they didn’t and we were safe. There were 5 in total, 2 adults and 3 kids. In the second room, there was a fold out bed. But at 3am, the youngest fold out bed, the head collapsed, so she had to get in the other two’s bed. The parking was terrible. The front passenger seat, I couldn’t get in. So my husband had to move the vehicle so I can get it. I told my husband to park, the way I could get in and out the vehicle To give you perspective, I am recovering from a Stroke 18/09/2022, which really affected my right side and my talking. I have Dysarthia, and I am right handed and in my right arm I have Tremours

Good apartments but could be better

Well equipped apartments and comfortable. Cleanliness should be approved, and there was cabinetry blowing out in the bathroom and the kitchen had some broken cabinetry. A nice stay but could of been better.

Lakeview apartments

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Checkin and checkout were very easy. The hotel is very nice with some good facilities with roomy apartments. The apartments are privately owned and i guess vary in decor. I felt the the appliances and deco were a bit dated. There was air con in the living room and second bedroom but none in the master suite. Overall the rooms were clean and well maintained. Nice views of the lake from the balcony.

I booked the apartment because I needed a full size fridge/freezer as I was in the process of moving & needed somewhere to keep things frozen. It was VERY warm & stuffy inside the apartment but opening the windows & turning the aircon on solved that. Even the underground parking was overly warm. I was late checking in but the instructions for where to find the key etc were clear & I had no problem at all until I went out to get food. On coming back the garage door was down & the remote to open the door id been given was not working & id left the paper with the after hours phone number in the apartment. Luckily another resident helped me out & I was able to get in. Overall it was a lovely one night stay. You could quite happily stay for a few weeks & be comfortable. The kitchen looked to have everything you’d need to be able to cook well. The bed was comfy, shower hot & apart from the noise of kids in the pool at times it was quiet.

We stayed at Sacred Waters for two nights in a three bedroom Thermal apartment. There was only the two of us so we only used one bedroom but we had an absolutely wonderful time. The kitchen was huge, allowing us to cook on one of the nights and the apartment had a comfy bed and shower with great pressure. We enjoyed relaxing and using Netflix, as well as having a dip in the heated pool and our hot tub on the balcony. Highly recommend this place if you’d like to indulge! We loved being so close to the lake and enjoying what Taupo has to offer. Thank you!

Really nice spacious and comfortable apartment. Friendly helpful owners. Great location next to the lake but a bit of a walk from the town centre. Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Stayed at Sacred Waters for 3 nights. The place is wonderful, the apartment was well equipped, with everything we needed, especially with a 9 month old. They were able to provide a portable cot and a high chair, which made meals times so much easier. Will definitely stay again and recommend

Great family apartment

An awesome mini family break away in Taupo. Our family had a lovely relaxing time, in a great apartment lakefront, using the complimentary bikes as well.

Very well appointed.

The apartments are spacious and provide good space for meetings, dinning and sleeping. The use of water throughout the facility makes it relaxing and thoughtful.

Loved that our unit had a private entrance to the heated pool. Apparently it is the only unit that does which makes up for the lack of view. Assumed there was a spa bath, however it was an outside hot tub.. Not the best design to be honest but did the trick.

Simply Superb in Taupo

From the initial greeting from Cindy who showed us to our apartment & went through the features & layout of the property through to the fantastic apartment that was warm, comfortable, spacious with thermal hot tub on our own deck & then the awesome heated outdoor lap pool this property is simply superb.

Luxury by the lake

We had a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and a view over lake Taupo. It had all the amenities and was very comfortable. It was a pity we only stayed overnight. I would recommend it to anyone

This property was very well looked after and and the amenities were excellent swimming pool, gym, car park and private thermal pools. Rooms had lovely large deck areas. Only thing that was a problem was the noise from the apartment above or next to us, sounding like they were dancing for a fair bit of one late afternoon with blaring music and lots of thumping.

Beautiful facilities, beautiful rooms, absolutely lovely people to deal with. We will definitely stay again. The only thing I would like them to impreove on is the rom servicing. Our beds were made but the room wasn’t vaccumed and we didn’t receive fresh pool towels. But these were only minor things, I definitely recommend staying here.

Greeted by the Manager at the door. He took us upstairs to our room and show us everything. Very warm welcoming and made us feel at home. Lots of towels and clean linen in the cupboards for us to use.

Great modern hotel, spacious and the manager was super friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Property was close to the lake and town centre so going for walks and going out for food was easy We found the property needed a general update, lots of damaged items in the apartment which didn’t look great. Kitchen ware needs to be updated, especially pots and pans which were in horrific condition and near useless to cook on

Overpriced and underwhelmed.

A disappointing experience. There was no view of the lake, and the unit felt strangely unwelcoming. The manager, Cindy, was not at all accommodating. Despite the high cost of the unit, she refused to give us extra coffee pods or milk, although she did offer to sell them to us!

Beautiful lake front property with excellent amentities and little extra's - complimentary bike hire, mineral pool on your deck, lovely bathroom amenities and coffee!!

This is stated and priced as a luxury apartment but be warned that not all the rooms have air conditioning ie no central air conditioning/ temperature control in the apartment which is really quite unacceptable. The beds and bed linen is of poor quality. Also, beware that you may be booking a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment which is supposed to sleep x number of people but there is an additional charge for each person.

The picture shows no obstructions of buildings. Wrong, you look out over rooftops, noisy pool. Totally not what we expected.

Great but....

The apartment was clean, modern and well equipped with great accessibility to the lake. My one tiny complaint was that they don’t replenish your coffee capsules! We were given 6 at the start of our 2 night stay. We liked the place so much that we extended it for another night but they wouldn’t top up for free our coffee capsules nor would they even replace the tissue paper in the room even though we only started with a half-filled one. Strange to be stinging on such small items.

Loved the fact I could have the kids playing in the front garden and not have to worry about their safety. Great for families. Cindy is awesome.

What a great find on Lake Taupo! After a long day of sightseeing in the rain, it was such a pleasure to arrive at our 3-bedroom apartment/hotel with a hot tub on the balcony looking at the lake. After unpacking and starting some laundry, we quickly made it to the hot tub with a bottle of wine - heavenly! The owners couldn’t have been nicer or more friendly. The only sad part was that we only booked the room for one night and had to continue our drive south the next day. The accommodations were beautiful, clean and close to the restaurants in town (short cab ride or 20 minute walk). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sacred Waters.

Spacious apartment and good amenities. Lovely swimming pool . Caret had just been replaced so had the gases from the new carpet ( a bit uncomfortable). Good location to Lake Taupo!

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Excellent service

Very comfortable stay for a short getaway from Auckland. The facilities were top notch and amenities included all that we needed. The beds were very clean and comfortable, we slept very well. The apartment was a bit too warm for our liking but was an easy fix with the aircon. Being on the first floor meant we could hear all the guests coming into the foyer but that didn't bother us too much as it was quiet during the night. Overall, would definitely recommend !

Booked the four bedroom unit. The unit was well maintained. It had a jacuzzi on the balcony and a working kitchen. View of the lake is also magnificent. Owner Cindy is also very helpful.

Loved the stainless steel mineral water private hot tub and the views of the snow covered mountains.
