Great location for the Airport

Very nice room. The team in the restaurant were excellent, they made us feel very welcome.

Location was convienient. Walk straight into airport.

Good stay

Stayed at Rydges Wellington Airport as a last minute decision to avoid the Wellington half marathon congestion. And was delighted . The hotel is one of the best airport hotels we have stayed at . So convenient for the airport and discounted car parking . Great dining options . People were world class

Super noisy all night.

Only missing was a desk in the room. Cannot say again without a desk.

Despite being at the airport, it was extremely quiet. Never heard planes at all.

It's right in the airport, perfect for late flights in or early flights out.

Was a great help as a staffing area for our international flight. Staff were friendly and we were able to take a baggage trolley to our room

Conveniently situated

Only stayed one night. It is brilliantly located “in” the airport. The lift takes you to the floor of check in and you walk virtually straight into the check in. The room was clean, well stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and carton milk. Bathroom was clean, shower easy to use with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Plenty of towels. Both day and night duty managers were helpful and polite.

Clean, very good bed, easy to departures. Made easy.

Thermo trouble

The stay was very nice with exception to the preset air conditioner. We could not lower the temperature in the room. On a hot day this was unpleasant.

Great facility to catch international flight to Australia

One whole restaurant was closed , nothing on website so shocked it wasn’t open when we arrived . No water in rooms which is pretty basic . Went for dinner on peleton restaurant and at 830pm was told no coffee as they shut the machine down at 8 “ cause it’s not busy “ - yet it’s open til 930. I can sunsets closing kitchen at 915 but coffee machine an hour and a half before close ?? I paid for rooms with breakfast but because our flight was at 6 in morning - second day we couldn’t get anything as restaurant wasn’t open . I said do you have a grab and go or some kind of pack we can have with perhaps some fruit /juice/pastries before our flight - was told “ no”. Very strange for an international airport hotel not to cater to guests at all times of day - even room service shuts at 9. Doesn’t seem like management really care less about clients . Junior staff super helpful and seem embarrassed by some of the rules management have in place . A shame as it’s a great location and super convenient but perhaps that is the issue - they take it for granted as there are no other options there - but they musnt really care about repeat business .

We stayed overnight and the hotel was so clean. Staff were courteous and super helpful even tho we checked in very late due to delays on our flight. Thank you a great stay.

Stress free accommodation option when traveling

Access to property difficult and confusing. Main restaurant closed. Rooms too small, no seating or tables.

Rydges brand is good, and this airport hotel is new, but it is not a good destination for any tourist, or for a layover as there are no facilties for travellers arriving after 9:30pm for an overnight. The onsite restaurant (dinner and breakfast) is closed for an indefinite period, and the airport bars and food also close at 9:30pm as does the room service option i.e. you cannot get any food or drinks after 9:30pm. If you have an early start, there are no hotel breakfast options before 7:30am. Its clean and modern, staff are friendly, but the lack of options for in house dining are fraustrating.

The team needs to be more customer focus, listen to understand instead of listening to reply, cleaning team needs to get the basics right, no eye for detail and missing lots of obvious touch points, the room was average, big hand print on the wall, first thing I noticed, normally don't complain but this was too obvious and make me feel that I entered a dirty room, hair on the bed and dust in most area.

Nice airport property. I wondered when booking if we’d hear aircraft taking off and landing, but our room was absolutely quiet despite facing the runways. Checkin was easy and it was so nice to simply walk down the corridor and into the airport the next morning.

Close to the airport/ flights - takes away the stress of arriving on time 👍👍

Another excellent stay as always. Friendly and welcoming reception staff. Always very clean room and extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Very reasonably priced parking. All this plus the convenience to the airport ideal for those early morning departures. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

My stay at the Rydges was so convenient. I didn’t even have to leave the airport. Rooms were lovely & clean & quite spacious. Staff were very friendly. I would be very happy to stay there again

Need to get their advertising sorted. Told a restaurant was closed for the month when in fact it was open in the morning. The other option was confusing for dinner. Closes at 6pm No it actually closed at 9.30pm. Bit of a nuisance. Didnt ruin the stay

Very easy to find from the airport concourse. You don't have to leave the building. A ble to use bar and eateries from airport.

The proximity to the Wellington Airport is excellent. As a person who was flying alone, it made the tripvery easy to manage.

Great hotel. It’s very convenient to stay at if you have an early morning flight.

Very nice room. Quiet and not one aeroplane heard through the night. The main restaurant was closed which was not indicated when we booked online and had planned to go there for dinner.

While the check in staff was efficient, she was not particularly welcoming. Perhaps, like us, she was tired.

Airport location fantastic

Was able to leave luggage at reception well before check in time & then go back later for check in. Clean modern room. Access to airport fantastic especially as we had a 6am flight departure.

Would stay further out from airport

The hotel and parking were difficult to find/get to. I had a hard time getting someone to note a late check-in even though I called early in the day to give plenty of notice that we'd be a late arrival due to our ferry crossing. Despite our late arrival, there was no mention/offer of a late check out so we could actually get some sleep and the lights were weird and difficult to turn on/off in the room. I also got a bruise and 3 cuts from the bench in the room.

Nice with some exceptions

I guess they were busy over the holiday season - I was surprised that an airport hotel wouldn't have rooms ready and available pretty much around the clock. However, the nice man at the desk did finally manage me a room at 12 noon. I needed to be up at 4 am for my flight and had work to do before I went to bed early. Unfortunately, the room did not have a desk and there is no business center in the hotel - they suggested I could work in the restaurant; nowhere near ideal. Surprised me as one would guess there would be business travelers there frequently. Overall, though, my stay was pleasant enough.

We often stay at this hotel when we have early-morning flights as it's just a quick few steps from the hotel room to the airline check-in counters. You couldn't find a place more handy. This time, the woman at the reception desk was particularly welcoming and friendly; even finding me a toothbrush when I realised I'd left mine at home.

Very comfortable and convenient.

Was a very comfortable bed. I thought it would be a bit loud having the airport right there but didn’t hear a thing. The parking is a bit confusing. You need to park in the coloured parking building directly across from the hotel (pay reception $15) then you need them to validate your ticket each time you need to leave the parking. Also I Couldn’t for the life of me work out how to use the side table lamps?

The hotel is very convenient if you are flying into or out of Wellington Airport. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fine. The phone in the room was filthy - it looked like it had not been cleaned for a very long time ... there was no way I was putting it anywhere near my face!

The property was nice but the team was still cleaning rooms next to my one.

Easy for airport early start

I had a wonderful stay. Great food, staff are friendly and the rooms are spectacular for their price. I really enjoy staying at the rydges. Convenient as there is airport access within the hotel.

Disappointment

Very disappointed that Whisky Lima Golf is Closed until further notice - this is the main drawer card for me when I stay. Menu isn’t as good, neither is the drinks menu. Info sheet still mentioned Whisky Lima Golf as being open. Also when a family roos is chosen at a significant cost of over $500 we would have expected more than a terminal roof roof view I think next time I’ll fly to Auckland and stay at a real hotel that doesn’t cheapen it like Rydges at the airport. Won’t be staying again - waste of Money and no reduction in tariff offered for a highly reduced service.

A wonderful stay before our evening flught.

My all time to go for hotel when I have morning flight out of Wellington. There are ample amenities within the hotel since it is located inside the airport. Even with many luggages, one can go to the room easily via lift. Staff are friendly. Wifi is stable. Only thing is you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. The rest of the amenities can be found within the room!

Just the perfect stay in case your flight leaves really early or arrives extremely late.

Eased into our vacation

We stayed 1 night when arriving in Wellington, we arrived very late ( after midnight) and your staff was there to greet us and we were in our room within a few minutes. We were immediately offered a late checkout, which was awesome as we were very tired from our flight. Everything was in good condition and we stayed without any issues.

The WLG airport hotel is always a pleasure.

It was fabulous to simply walk off the plane and check into the hotel. It was a lovely room and the check in was quick and efficient. So convenient to have attended my evening function and then back at the hotel to be able to fly out so easily the next morning.

The hotel service was very poor. All the dining outlets at the airport shut at 7:00pm. Better option to stay in the city.

We arrived in middle of the night, hotel staff at the desk was there and ready to check us in. They even gave us a late check out so we could rest.

In my room i kept hearing door creaking noises all night. I git up a few times but it wasnt my closets. With 4am checkin this was major inconvenience.

I love the convenience of being able to board an early morning flight from a close by an in-house hotel and the same for disembarking a flight late at night. It was difficult to book directly with Rydges online. Booking a further days stay onsite was $100.oo NZD cheaper than online by a third party. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The room was noisy from neighbouring guests. There was a constant whistling sound from the vent in the bathroom which was really annoying. Room was average. Door on fridge cupboard was broken and didn’t close properly so the light inside the cupboard stayed on permanently (turns off automatically when door is closed). Reported this to staff on arrival and was told it would be fixed the following day. Stayed three nights and it was never fixed. There was no sound from the airport which was great, and the view from our room was amazing!

Very convenient if you have late night or early morning flights , staff were very helpful and dinner was amazingly yummy Only negative reception was located right next to bar and restaurant,was very loud when we were checking in -also it was hard to find or maybe it was just us because all we could hear n see when getting off the lifts was the noise from the bar/restaurant Otherwise we would definitely stay again

Great to stay when flying early the next day

located right at the airport. Staff were lovely. Room was quiet and dark which was lovely. We arrived early morning and there weren't a lot of food options other than vending machines in airport but other than that, our stay was great.

The bed was very comfortable. It makes being at the airport for an early flight so much easier, especially as we have a 2 hour drive to the airport.

The reception staff were not very welcoming or friendly - the hotel is looking very shabby or unclean in the corridors - the shower heads were blocked and only a trickle of water pressure - not very good vegetarian options in the dining in the hotel but plenty to eat and drink in the airport which the hotel is situated in so its super easy to grab or dine in the airport if you wanted - bed was super comfy - there was sky movie premier channel or regular TV - would only recommend for ease of airport, otherwise better hotels in the city and therefore way better eating/dining options....
