Fun modern hotel in a great location.
Such a fun place to stay! Easy walk to all the places we wanted to go. The self check-in at the bar worked well and we appreciated the opportunity to forgo housekeeping for a free beverage at the bar :) The room itself was small but well laid out. The shower was great!
The locations of self check-in machines and hotel rooms are not clearly marked and it's a little confusing at the beginning. But the rest was good--it's located just right in front of the main station and there is no hussle to check-out in the morning (You only need to drop off the card keys). It's a great place to stay if you are looking for an overnight accommodation in Munich, connecting between trains and flights.
Convenient location, easy to get around Munich from the Ruby Rosi
No frills. Fine for short trip.
Easy place to stay in Munich where the location is very central to the train station and underground. We didn’t love the self-service check-in as it took sometime. The bartenders check you in as check in is at the bar. The hotel is really no frills. It’s clean, but has no extras. The location around the hotel felt a bit seedy at night.
We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff, breakfast, and bar atmosphere were great! We would absolutely stay here again!
Breakfast was excellent. I recently found out I’m dairy intolerant. To have an excellent selection of plant based foods for breakfast was a huge plus
We stayed here recently to be central to all the Christmas markets and it did not disappoint!!! The staff were amazing and the rooms and bar have an incredible aesthetic- very cozy and cool. Only about a 4 minute walk to main train station which was incredible (keep in mind that central tends to come with hustle and bustle so you can hear some activity outside but nothing that bothered us personally). The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Self check in was cool and staff were more than happy to help as needed. We opted out of breakfast so can’t comment on that but the drinks at the bar were amazing- so cool too that they let you opt out of housekeeping in exchange for drink tickets! Would recommend and can’t wait to stay here again!!
First time staying with the Ruby brand. We have nothing but positive things to say, the staff was very friendly and courteous. The rooms, spacious, comfortable, drinks at the bar were delicious. The location of the hotel was perfect for easy access to numerous sites, subway, trams, and railway. Una was very helpful and informative with recommendations, site seeing and restaurants to eat at, all in walking distance. Looking forward to staying at a Ruby property in Vienna,
Excellent location right in the centre. Beautiful boutique hotel
Very good location and comfortable.
Very convenient to transportation, dining and travel.
Modern and clean rooms, conveniently located close to main station (easy access to the train for the airport) and in walking distance from the old city.
An amazing experience loved the staff especially Carlos and the young blonde gentleman (I think Benjamin?). They were both so kind and very welcoming to us. I definitely will be staying here again next year. Thank you for an amazing stay!
Rooms too small, tv wasn’t working, staff not very friendly. Choose another hotel.
Great location
The 1st room we were in, the A/C worked off and on and eventually wouldn't kick on at all. It was 76 degrees in the room and we were sweating just standing in the room. Guy at the front desk gave us a tiny fan to try, but made zero difference so he moved us to a different room for the 2nd night. The A/C would lightly blow some coldish air, but the hotel has some kind of limiter on their thermostats that won't allow it to go below 72.5 degrees no matter how low you set the temperature. We like our room cold at night, it helps us sleep better. Although the air worked better in the 2nd room, the shower leaked so water ran under the wall into the room and it was only set up for 1 person so we had to go ask for more towels.....we were given a hand towel and two bath mats, no bath towel. We gave up at that point and my husband had to use a hand towel to dry off with.
Great boutique hotel central for all the main attractions. Our check-in was slightly stressful due having multiple reservations in our party. However, all was satisfactorily resolved. Breakfast at the hotel was worth taking as the choices locally were poor. Room was well fitted, clean and quiet. We would use again.
Very good— loved the proximity to the train station, which made our arrival to the city with luggage from the airport and our departure to Salzburg incredibly easy. Also a very easy <20 min walk to both the old city and the museums. Hotel pushed the option to trade maid service for drink vouchers very hard. Note the sink is the room, and the bathroom doors are frosted glass— not a ton of privacy. Large, clean rooms, and a stylish restaurant/bar area with a pleasant terrace.
In out of the rain.
On a rainy day, and coming out of the train station on the wrong side, we made the trek back to Bayernstrasse to find The Ruby. Unconventional entrance, but a fantastic experience. Being an 'OLD DUDE" the completely digital check in flummoxed me, but the ladies who checked us in were fantastic. Couldn't have be more helpful. The hotel was immaculate, the rooms were excellent, extremely clean, and the lobby-bar area was welcoming. After we checked out, they even watched our bags as we went site-seeing.(in the rain!)
FANTASTIC property!!
Great service
Amazing hotel. Cool bar. Lovely and clean. Great service. Vincent was superb. Such a great guy working on bar/reception. Helped us so much
They claim to have air conditioning and yet the room never got below 80 degrees. Fitting 2 adults and 2 suitcases in the room was a challenge. Also, I had to take conference calls in the room from a child’s chair and desk dominated by an ornamental lamp. You must know the person you’re traveling with VERY well as there is NO privacy with the bathroom. Area felt unsafe at night as evidenced by the smashed glass front door. I was relieved to leave the room every day as the heat was absolutely unbearable in the room.
The hotel is unique, quirky with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Great shower, fruity toiletries. Wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet rooms Amazing selection for breakfast.
Super friendly staff.
Very friendly staff, clean and efficient hotel, great breakfast every morning. Recommended!
Great hotel in a good location. Beautiful bar and restaurant area
Had an temporary issue with Expedias payment not showing up. Caused some confusion. Got sorted out. Not the properties fault.
Main concern was you can’t charge your phone without using the key card. My light wasn’t working so i couldn’t turn off the bathroom light the whole time. Air conditioning wasn’t working. No ventilation in bathroom.
Cool staff and a very young city vibe. Non-pretentious and chill.
Lovely boutique hotel. Meant to be self-service check-in etc but still lots of kinks. Clean spacious rooms.
Very conveniently located
The location is central enough, ten minutes from Marienplatz and close to transport links. The local ongoing construction was unfortunate and as a main thoroughfare it could be noisy. Cleanliness and friendliness of staff was very good.
Our Munich Adventure
Great bar longe area. loved the rooftop bar, though it rained slot during our stay. loved the option they gave us of swapping room cleaning for free drinks vouchers.
Great atmospheric hotel with a fantastic vibe. Very friendly staff, clean rooms an a bar with great cocktails.
This was a quiet, comfortable stay right near the main train station! A perfect place for a stay in Munich!
So cold freezing. Heater was not working. Our room is much colder than hallway and outside. They just said that the heater is broken. Almost caught a cold
This place was great! Funky vibe, so close to the train station, so many things to do in the area. Very quiet rooms when it comes time to sleep! Would definitely stay here again.
Munich was wunderbar!
The staff were wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable.
Could have been a great hotel. Beautiful boutique design and location within easy walking distance from the old town as well as location to public transport. Bar was a highlight. Breakfast was good, but would get repetitive very quickly if staying longer than a few days. Our room looked beautiful, but was very warm and air-conditioning was locked out. Could only crack the windows slightly "due to safety reasons". Wife could not sleep due to room temp. There was a strong cigarette smell in the bathroom. Seemed to be coming from the Staff area adjacent to our room. When staff exited you could clearly smell the cigarette smoke on them. Staff some were nice and some were not. The guy at breakfast making the coffee and the night time bartender lady were stand outs. Others seemed cold and unfriendly. Doubt I would return
Great property a short walk to Marienplatz and just a few minutes walk to central Munich Train station. Very friendly staff. Cool interior and music decor guitars for play. Both day and night staff very helpful.
Great property and staff. The area was a little sketch but within minutes walk to tourist sites. Very nice over all and would stay again
Great place.
Perfect location next to the Hauptbahnhof and a short walk from Marienplatz. Lovely breakfast and pleasant staff who were happy to converse in English. Clean and pleasant rooms. Nice decor in the bar area too.
I've used this brand in Geneva and in Munich. The hotel is great - clean rooms / good breakfast / reasonable price. In Munich, the hotel is a short walk from smarter / cleaner areas. It wouldn't stop me staying there but don't judge Munich based on what you see immediately outside the front door.
Fantastic trendy hotel
Excellent clean and trendy hotel. Good position close to the station but easy to walk to town. Great breakfast! We got marooned due to snow and managed to extend our stay. All staff were excellent. I liked it that in return for choosing to not have the room serviced, you get a free drink (cocktails included!)
If you choose not to receive room cleaning service, you will receive drink vouchers instead. This was very impressive
Great hotel perfect location to S & U bhan
So so..
Overall a nice hotel albeit small rooms despite not booking the smallest. Although located next to central train station and a busy area the room was very quiet but also facing court yard. Service was nice and courteous but for reason of the location I will opt for another hotel next time.
Very good location. If you stay more than 1 night and doesn’t need to clean the room, you can get a free drink at the bar. Great service too and helpful staff. If you’re traveling young people, definitely recommended!
Nice location and staff
Outstanding property. Excellent value. Super attentive staff (special shout out to Oscar @ the bar). PS: Breakfast cannot be beat.
We stayed in the loft room which was incredibly spacious and quirky with key amenities provided. We opted for minimal room service in exchange for 2 free drinks which was a sustainable option offered by the hotel. We really loved the decor and vibe of the rooftop bar and the breakfast spread was lovely as well. The staff were incredibly hospitable and helpful, and provided some great restaurant recommendations close by. The property location was perfect; right next to the central train station making it easy to travel to and from the airport as well as other locations. It was walking distance to all key attractions as well. Highly recommend!
Good location.
We arrived for Oktoberfest and the Ruby Rosi Hotel is a true gem! It is about a 15-minute walk from the Munich Central Station; less than a 20-minute walk to Marienplatz; and about a 30-minute walk to the Theresienwiese. Before you open the door, it looks like an office building or store, but once you get inside it is incredible. The staff is friendly, the rooms are small but thoughtfully designed and QUIET. The 24-hour bar on the fourth floor is lovely with lots of areas to sit and relax offering unique cocktails. We enjoyed the breakfast and next to the juices, they offered a Ginger Shot for health. Highly recommend
Loved the location and staff at the check-in bar. The breakfast was delicious and local, but a bit pricey if not included with your room. Remember to go to the 4th floor for the bar / check-in, if you’re lost downstairs when you first arrive!
Excellent Location, Impeccably Clean, Great Staff
The hotel was perfect to be honest. The price was nice, which was a bit part as to why we booked. Upon arrival the staff were great, we arrived late at night but the reception is 24/7. Subway is right outside and it takes you direct to the airport for €13pp one way. Staff were all lovely, we opted to not have our room cleaned as we only had a short stay and we received two free drink vouchers which was lovely. As mentioned the room was possibly the cleanest room we’ve stayed in, very happy there and the amenities were brilliant too. Check-out is just a drop box for your key, but you can attend reception if you want to. Couldn’t recommend this place enough for a trip to Munich.
Fun atmosphere, nice room, friendly staff…. What else can you ask for?
Ab
Great place
Logistical Good, experience “meh”
No single element was “bad” but a vast array of odd items made the hotel less than desirable, including: - Toilet in a glass box feels weird - iron only in public areas - limited natural light in rooms - the most oddly made bed I’ve ever slept in…. Not sure if this was intentional or they just ran out of large blankets and so used two single-sized blankets in bands because they ran out of the appropriate size - building configuration appeared to block cell phone reception, granted maybe this is better on higher floors - nice but sparse furniture in a relatively large white room didn’t make it feel like I had a “premium” room. However, my main reason for staying here was its location next to the train station and near the historic centre. In this aspect the hotel was great.
Beautifully simple
Very good location, modern and an excellent service.
Weekend in Munich
Great weekend stay! Opted for the breakfast and it didn't disappoint - many healthy options. Very cool roof top area. Convenient central location close to train station. Also has a great 24hr bar. Highly recommend!
Nice hotel, close to transport links
Literally right next door to the major train station have been Munich. Can simply walk straight to the train. Also, very close to the old town area. I would call this a perfect location.
We stayed at the Rubi Rosi for 3 nights/4 days in Munich in May. The location is excellent, just a few steps from Hauptbahnhof station and easily walkable to the centre of the city (Marienplatz is less than 10 minutes away on foot). The bar/reception was a cool, pleasant place to check in and have a drink, although there's not much of a view of the city from here (or, to be fair, the rooftop terrace). Staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent; roomy, stylish, really good shower, a comfortable bed, huge TV (if that's important to you) with decent air con and windows you could open for fresh air. We ate an excellent breakfast one morning, but it seemed a little dear at 20 Euros each - Good food, but maybe not great value. Each floor has a 'galley' where you can buy snacks from a vending machine and make tea - It was only on the last night that I discovered instant coffee there too (it's in with the milk and sugar), but it was pretty poor stuff. Being used to British hotels where you usually get a kettle in the room, this was a bit of a negative, but equally, better than no facilities for making hot drinks at all, which is often the continental option. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Ruby Rosi - It was comfortable, competitively priced, perfectly located for exploring Munich on foot and via the S and U-Bahn and rather 'cool'. We'd definitely stay again if we're in Munich. Thanks to all we dealt with in the hotel.
Home in Munich
I liked the hotel as it was soo good and few steps from both Munich City Center and the main Train Station and Airport Buses.. the hotel had everything
Rooms were great. Love the efficiency and cleanliness. Staff at the desk or a little overworked and food menu. Could’ve been a bit more extensive.
The overall experience was good. Location of the Hotel is very convenient. Oscar is a great hotel staff
Great vibe...parking is just below!
Christmas market trip
Central, clean and modern
Edgy design and concept. Great location for tourists and train. Would definitely stay there again.
Great spot, a little unconventional but that turns out to be a positive. Hotel is on the upper floors so is quiet and away from the hectic street around the train station. The “self check in” would make you nervous that it isn’t staffed but not true! Great staff, nice bar with great coffee and drinks. And awesome breakfast. I’ve been to Munich on business at least 20 times, this was a great experience and I’ll for sure be back here.
Love the hotel character with the mini blue tooth amp for music and rock star mirror lights!
Staff was great, hotel is perfect for tours because i was able to walk to all meeting places within 15 minutes. Highly recommended.

Hotel and location did not disappoint! Within walking distance of all kinds of local attractions. Super quiet and staff were above and beyond awesome! If we ever make it back to Munich, we’ll stay there again.
