Great stay!
We had a lovely one night stay at the Ruby Lucy, staff were very friendly.
Very seamless process of checking in and out, staff are friendly. Hotel is located very conveniently beside Waterloo station which is a huge plus
Nice
Enjoyable stay at a moderate price.
Very nice sized room and bed. Everything was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
The accommodation was lovely with everything being clean and comfortable, my only downside was the slow service in the bar, on our first night we ordered food and drinks, and the drinks took longer to prepare than the food, and anytime after that we order drinks it was really slow
Centrally located. Clean. Staff were great.
Top hotel, amazing location from Waterloo
Service was spot on as always! Love this hotel, unique but great location !
Our stay was good, coffee/tea facilities would be better in the room, the TV rarely worked, electrical issues they were trying to sort, had to ask staff to come up and sort when we wanted to watch TV. Bathroom could also do with a curtain, didnt really want to see my partner on the toilet. Staff helpful, nice hotel just a few niggles.
Great location, staff very friendly, room was comfortable.
Conveniently located for our visit Restaurants nearby Close to Waterloo and Euston stations Modern clutter free hotel
I initially had a good experience, but my stay was marred by a series of unacceptable incidents. On both mornings, housekeeping knocked on my door at 8 AM, despite the Do Not Disturb sign being clearly displayed. On the first day, they even opened the door without waiting for a response. How outrageous and completely inappropriate is this? Additionally, I decided to extend my stay by one extra day and spoke to the receptionist to confirm the payment. She assured me there was nothing more to settle. However, the following morning, I was abruptly woken up by a loud knock at the door, as if it were an emergency. When I opened it, staff claimed I hadn’t paid and insisted I go downstairs immediately to settle the bill. To make matters worse, they even implied that “other guests have left without paying,” which was both disrespectful and insulting. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of respect for guests is completely unacceptable!
I loved everything about the hotel, employees Guilherme and Gustavo so friendly a support staff. Good drinks and food and lovely breakfast and closer to everything like best tourist points
Great hotel, very comfortable rooms!
Stylish hotel very close to Waterloo with plenty of services near by. Good budget choice.
We used Ruby Lucy as our hub, with 4 stays over 3 weeks interspersed with weekends in the country or taking the Eurostar to Europe. It was incredibly convenient to transport, and a walkable distance to most areas of London with lots of restaurant options. We will use it again in future and recommend!
Impressive customer service
An amazing stay and I have to say the customer service was exceptional - both from the person who checked my bag in when I arrived early, to the person who helped me actually check in, and then again, when I (carelessly) left my rings in the room before checking out, Isabella at reception was incredibly helpful in liaising with housekeeping to retrieve them - and even made me a coffee whilst I waited. Really impressive - thank you.
Super friendly staff made us feel very welcome, room was well appointed and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed the balcony to view the city and scope out the area.
Fab location, we had a lovely room on the 3rd floor very quiet. The hotel has a great vibe.
Good place to stay
Wonderful small boutique hotel. The only thing lacking was dresser drawers, small refrigerator and microwave.
Great Staff
The staff was amazing and extremely knowledgeable of places to visit. Will stay here again.
The staff was so friendly and nice
This hotel was excellent. The atmosphere was great, the decor was brilliant, the food at breakfast was lovely. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Loved the area it was in too. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
Great unique stay for our first time in London. Close to tube and great dining options nearby. No complaints. Would stay again.
Great brand new hotel, pretty big rooms for London, nice bar downstairs. Breakfast was okay, but not too much choice. Some basics would go a long way - bottle of water or a cooler on the floor, and an option to borrow a power adapter…
Loved music theme. Guitars to play in bar (though no one did). Marshall amps in sound proofed rooms. Eclectic bar across street. Access to Waterloo station. Pleasant bar but no live music while we were there. Overall very cool, even for an old rocker.
This is the third Ruby Lucy Hotel I've stayed on, staff was super friendly and great breakfast. Location is convenient, right next to Waterloo station, which works great, especially when flying into Gatwick. Area is walkable, quiet but lively. I would def stay in another Ruby Lucy Hotel again!
Close proximity to attractions, transport hub
staff were great very helpful. restaurant food was pretty ordinary. My room was small and a bit awkward with two suitcases. These are minor issues, we would stay there again but try to be pickier on the room. Pretty tough when everything in london is full.
I love this hotel, what a great vibe and super great people always welcoming you the room was spacious, modern and clean. You really are not far from the main area of London, and you can easily walk to the eye, and across the bridge. Shout out to Marcelo and their super nice staff.
Fantastic and quirky little place
Fantastic quirky little place on a high st in Waterloo with loads of food and drink places nearby. Friendly staff, easy check in, we even got to check in early! Everything needed for an overnight stay. Bathroom isn't very private so as long as you are comfortable with who you are sharing with!
Our stay at Ruby Lucy was overshadowed by the unfortunate comments made by its staff. With outright rude comments and smug remarks during conversations we can sense a biased anger that they did not like that we were American. To finalize my thought, if you are American and just need a place to rest, this is a clean place to stay but I’d suggest to look elsewhere if you want to feel welcomed.
Rarely get what should be expected in London. This quirky place with superb staff... excells
Super friendly staff, great location! Locating right next to Waterloo station yet the room was very quiet at night. Room is clean and new.
Located super close to the Waterloo train station, a great team really makes this property click.
Wish they had a more extensive menu, but excellent stay and staff.
Had a great time. Staff was great. walking distance to the London Eye. Could have used a fridge and a rubber mat for the shower. It was slippery.
Great location
Cool boutique hotel in a great location just 5 minutes from Waterloo Station, 10 from Westminster and Millennium Bridge and Big Ben. Its also located on Lower Marsh Street with lots of eating options. On the weekdays there are food vendors outside that offer a variety of delicious options for a very affordable price. The hotel room itself was clean and comfortable. Although its in a busy area the room was quiet and I slept well every night. I would stay here again.
.
Tiny room, weird tiny bathroom. No TV. Worst view. For £200 for the night we felt completely ripped off.
Awesome staff, great stay, loved the patio deck for smoking and 24 hour bar. Highly recommend it here
It was lovely stay and very convenient to Waterloo station. Only downside is that we had a spider and a fly in our room.
Fun environment
Great place to visit
Modern, chic, innovative and staff were fab!
Our stay was amazing, staff were polite and respectful. The overall rating is 10/10 and the service was brilliant. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were welcoming. I would recommend to a friend Well done to all the staff at Ruby Lucy
Amazing service loved the vibe of the lower Marsh!
Coffee station at end of hall with access to small courtyard. Ironing board set up there as well. Nice bar. Modern vibe.
Really nice hotel. Booked as an emergency when I had to work later than expected and it worked out well so will definitely use in future. Room was a good temperature on the hottest day of summer, so the air con was definitely working fine.
Good sport for an overnight stay
So central..beautiful decor both in hotel and room. It was a short stay but I'd definitely return.
Lovely, will be back
Beautifully decorated hotel in a very cool part of London. Street food lines the pedestrian street outside and good restaurants within a 5 min walk. Room bright, airy, clean and smelled lovely. Staff couldn't be more friendly. What's not to like? Will certainly be back.
Very nice stay. The room is very clean. Definitely would come back again.
Really pleasant place to stay
Staff were excellent and i had no issues at all during my stay. Will definitely consider staying here again when I'm next in the area
This place is truly a hidden UK gem! It was perfect for exploring the more touristy areas of the city (as it was a close walk to one of the tube stations and located close enough to walk to several different places of interest), without the congestion of people being in popular sites. There are restaurants and shops around you and the staff are super friendly! The room was perfect and in great condition. 10/10 recommend!
Amazing hotel!!
Great service, amazing location. Will definitely be back!
Amazing. Thank you for your hospitality...
Very unique hotel. Great location very close to Waterloo station.
Nice place I had a room with a balcony. the rooms are nice and clean but it would of been much nicer if they just fix few things suck as please put a phone in the room and add proper furniture for the balcony and Mount the TV higher so I can use the desk. not a big fan of the registration procedures they have.
Aside from my Bolt driver being unable to drop me in front of the hotel due to a pedestrian district at the front door, I was pretty happy with the Ruby Lucy. I chose it because I was going to depart after two nights from Waterloo station which is two blocks away. This hotel features tiny rooms that are very cleverly laid out. There is very little clothing storage or work space so if your stay is more than a day or two, this might not be the best spot. For me it was perfect. The bed and bedding are extraordinarily comfortable. There are countless reasonably priced dining choices within a short walk and in 10 minutes you can be at Parliament or the London Eye. Breakfast was good but not great. Staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful. This is a great spot for a short stay in the Southbank area. I would not recommend it for more than a few nights.
Stayed here before, love this hotel
Fun decor, friendly staff, super comfie beds, great location by Waterloo station and Lower Marsh funky neighborhood. Great hotel!
The staff is absolutely lovely. I arrived 6 hrs before checkin and they held my bags and recommended a breakfast restaurant and let me check in 2hrs early. The room was quite and clean. I had been up for 24hrs and needed to sleep. I slept very well after a very relaxing shower. The room was larger than other London hotels I’ve stayed in. Absolutely recommend this hotel, the lovely staff and the convenient location.
Great location staff great
Great location on pedestrian street with numerous bars cafes and shops around. Staff at hotel were wonderful
Like Marx Brothers State Room
Great location. Great plumbing. Hard for two people with luggage for 10 days to figure out where to put it,
Rock n Roll meets Industrial Chic
Ruby Lucy hotel on Lower Marsh (Waterloo Station) is a freshly finished and hip hotel. A mix of rock n roll and industrial chic. A nice bohemian lobby with bar with a friendly young staff. Lower Marsh is convenient to Waterloo Station and just across the bridge from Big Ben and the House of Lords. An eclectic mix of shops nearby that is vehicle restricted so great for walking.
this was my second time staying in a Ruby hotel. I cannot recommend it enough. The style of hotels is unique and trendy, and the staff is friendly and helpful. You can opt to have a free cocktail from the bar instead of people cleaning your room daily, which we love, and its a win-win-win for the staff, the environment, and you. 5 stars, will book Ruby hotels wherever I can!
Three nights in London
Great experience! Was a little concerned when we walked up to check in, since it was in the middle of a bar and restaurant scene, and learned that our lobby is actually a 24-hour bar. I expected it to be noisy all night, but it wasn’t wild at all. We were able to trade in our daily cleaning for a pass for a free drink, which we brought up to our room and drank on the balcony over looking the street. Drinks were excellent, staff was friendly, room was a bit small and we could not figure out how to use the amps in our room, but the bed was comfortable, clean and it ended up being a great location. The street turns into a lunchtime market with some great food stands during the week and it is about 10 minutes to walk to the London eye and big Ben!
What an absolute gem! We loved the Ruby Lucy! Bed was comfy, room spacious enough. The breakfast was top notch and the employees even better. Highly recommend. The Lower Marsh is a very cool area.
Very convenient for Waterloo station
Surprising hotel - quirky and fun. Good buffet breakfast. Despite the location our comfortable room was very quiet. Lots of pop up food and market in Lower Marsh. Very close to The Old Vic and many many eating places.
I loved this place. An unexpected gem just a few minutes from Waterloo. Cool and trendy, very well designed, spotlessly clean, and an amazingly comfortable bed.
Stay in the loft room
Great quirky hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing room! Would definitely stay again.
Great hotel
Great location and the most friendly staff! Room was clean and bright. Such good value for money.
Not a bad hotel
Great staff, nice room. The curtains are a bit of a nightmare, they’re not big enough for the size of the window so the room is very bright, very early in the morning! The overhead shower was broken and sprayed water directly across the bathroom and soaks the door which forces you to use the shorter hand held shower (not ideal if you’re tall). The room was clean and the staff were very welcoming though.
One of those rooms where the toilet and shower is basically open to the room. Whilst the toilet does has some obscured glass, there's still cracks where the door opens and it's still somewhat disconcerting to use whilst your partner is sitting on the bed facing you on the loo, and is less than romantic. Maybe me being prudish, but would it really have been so hard to put a proper wall/door in given the price of the room?
Loved the wait staff that were very accommodating and super sweet!
This hotel is in a great location near Waterloo station and the underground. Rooms are modern and comfortable though a bit minimalist. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby and the street has a fun vibe.
Very quirky hotel and bar set-up. Very convenient location, clean and comfy rooms.
Fabulous hotel amazing staff
This was beautiful quirky hotel very very cool and unique. Great location. Fabulous rooms The staff were all outstanding really really great customer service The breakfast was delicious. One of our favourite hotel stays for a long time
My first stay in London and your hotel was a wonderful experience with helpful staff. They helped me with my missed placed luggage from the airport and explaining the area.
Annoyed that I had told 2 separate staff the hair conditioner was out in the shower. They said okay. But never refilled it during my entire stay.
Enjoyed my stay.
Enjoyed the stay. Was close to the station and tourist attractions.
Very nice property. No early check ins
Location is great. Nice design. Unpractical room design, no closet or storage space, toilet and shower literally inside the room (no door). Horrible acoustics - heard loud music from the bar below, noise made by the service people going into an adjacent service space and lastly noise from the floor above. Overall disappointing experience.
Located on a quiet pedestrian street. Next to Waterloo Station with its three underground lines and its trains to Windsor Castle. Easy walking distance to London Eye, Parliament, and Westminster Abbey.
Ruby Lucy
Excellent hotel, really friendly staff
Ok but not great
This hotel is no frills but feels better than very basic accommodation in that the decor is to a good standard. The hands off approach means you aren’t given much info about breakfast etc. The main issue is that, from inside your room, you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you and in the corridor. Doesn’t make for a restful night.
Excellent small hotel with super helpful staff. My room was large (for UK standards) and the shower pressure was fantastic (sometime that often falls short in smaller hotels) I thought the location was very vibrant.
Cheap... but not value for money..
Not entirely sure its value for money. Weird shower/toilet/bathroom set up. Lovely comfy bed! Big tv. Now the really bad part... the hideously ignorant girl (but more likely a them 🙄) that checked me in.. pointed and grunted its way through check in.. which is not like any other hotel ive ever stayed in by the way! Like i should know what to do. Not even a hint at any kind of customer service. The system is actually quite good... the attitude of the staff, ruins it!! Told me the room number and i was like... well where do i go? Pointed at the lifts and huffed, again... like i should know. The room cleaning staff were lovely, but the bar, reception and restaurant staff seem to forget their in a customer facing roll.
Lovely staff, right at Lower Marsh, late bar with snacks, walkable to Thames. A lovely place.
This is an amazing location and a simple business model for keeping costs down. I liked the option of a turndown service or two free drinks. Lots of quirky extras available like rental umbrellas. Every single member of staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great stay.
Amazing!!!!!
Great simple rooms. Efficient staff. Very good location for food and access to Waterloo station
Loved this hotel. Staff are fatastic and friendly. Amazing local food options. Will return.
Ruby Lucy is a lovely hotel, very clean and the staff are wonderful! My only complaint is that for a room that is advertised to fit 2 people there isn’t enough space to put luggage for the 2nd person. As long as you have very little luggage, you’ll be fine and have a marvelous time. The street the hotel is on is also wonderful
Great vibe and nice walkable location Breakfast option a bit pricey Bar drinks were quite yummy but the food was not up to par
Great
A bit expensive for the offering and there are other hotels nearby.
Love this place. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. We had an early flight and we were able to check in early. We were lucky that the room was already available. Will surely stay here again!
