Very close to the Ben Thanh market. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is clean at reasonable price. I definitely will be back.

The hotel did not have dining options which was the only negative

I believe this hotel operates in two separate buildings. The entrance from the main street is a travel agency and the hotel lobby is actually in the back. You can walk through the room full of desk agents, or you can go around the back to the left side of the building. You can see their other hotel building in the alleyway. They have rooms on floors 7-9 and mine was on floor 9. Anyone can access the elevator, but keycard needed to enter hotel room. It looked newish or recently renovated and well maintained. Room was spacious and appeared pretty clean, except the stool seat looked dirty with stains and the bathroom door handle as well. But those were minor issues and the rest clean, no sign of soap scum on glass walls or anything. Hot water fluctuates between comfortable and scolding hot without warning sometimes. I hope they keep up the maintenance, because housekeeping didn’t seem consistent. One day I saw they replenished enough water bottles for my entire stay, but nothing else was done. Other days they cleaned and made the bed, whether or not I put the sign on the door handle. It does get noisy starting around 5-6am. The sound of furniture moving and loud chatting could be heard every morning outside my room. The door frame didn’t feel solid and wasn’t flush, so noise flows in freely. Some loud bass from a bar nearby could be heard at night, but didn’t disturb my sleep. Other than that, I had a comfortable stay and would recommend. Close walk to many tourist spots

Very modern, new, clean, and neat hotel. Nice balcony for the Family Room. Bathroom comes with rainforest shower that is strong. Room has a flat screen TV, mini fridge, and safe. Many eateries just downstairs the hotel, including Xoi Ga Ut Map Number One (famous for sticky chicken rice), Bun Rieu Ganh (famous for tomato soup noodles), Ben Thanh Market with lots of Vietnamese food options, and the Japanese restaurants along a certain street. Convenience Store Circle K is downstairs the hotel. Many places of interest within walking distance of this hotel eg Takashimaya, Notre Dame Cathedral, HCMC Post Office, Independence Palace, War Raments Museum. Very friendly and helpful hotel security staff and front desk staff. We were served a vet nice welcome drink that tasted like lime juice. Hotel rates are very value for money. Highly recommend to stay here!

Worth it

It was near the Benh Thanh Market, so, there's lot of shopping area, it was also very near to night market. Easy to get taxi. Internet was OK but sometimes slow. The hotel is clean.

Good spot to explore the inner city

It's a good base to have to explore the city, and we loved the balcony that over looked the street. We saw a lot daily life from that balcony. It's close to the market but did that foot our fake Gucci, we would stay at The Ruby again, it's a haven amongst the whirlwind of Ho Chi Minh

A surpising gem

This hotel is very well located and very friendly staffed. Owner waited for us until 1:30 in the morning to open the doors for us! Very clean and comfortable. We trvelled with 2 little kids so cleanliness was a must and this hotel delivered. Would use again and again.

Bait and Switch deal

Ruby Hotel was under extensive renovation. Given Hobson's choice to stay in Hoi An Hotel next door at midnight. Unfair deal on the customer who had no bargaining ground to compare like for like. Hotels.com should have known and done better before arrival.

Great location, just steps from Ben Thanh Market. Very simple, but comfortable. We enjoyed having the view from our balcony to watch the city. The room was clean, although the bathroom had some mold and could use a good top to bottom scrub.

Great budget option

Our stay at Ruby was great, but you shouldn't expect anything more than a place to stay. It was comfortable, and the AC was great in the June heat of Vietnam. The location is great - close to Ben Thanh Market, and nearby to a lot of sights to see. It is walking distance from most things in District 1. Not great if you're hoping to spend a lot of time in the backpacker's area, but fine otherwise. Everyone who works here is very, very friendly.

Perfect location

The hotel is right next to Ben Thanh market and the wonderful Thanh Binh restaurant is right across the street. Behind the hotel is a spacious and quiet cafe (does not belong to the hotel) convenient for meeting people or having a quiet time.

Nice hotel. Near to Ben Than and night market.

The hotel location is considered quite strategic. We can go shopping and walk back to hotel for a rest and continue shopping again. We also can walk to Ho Chi Minh City and visit Post Office, Museum, Hard Rock Cafe, Taka Plaza etc. Overall it is quite convenience to stay in Ruby Hotel.

It's really nice and amazing hotel. It's really near to Ben Thanh Market. Just a minute to ben than market from the hotel.Comfortable and convenience hotel it's good. I'm stay at 5th floor room no 151. The room is really big and wide.

Affordable hotel in a good location

This hotel is located next to Ben Thanh market, hence made the shopping is easy. Halal restaurants are nearby, same goes to Malaysia street which housed several Halal restaurants. It is also walking distance to Saigon Square. If you are light sleeper, you may felt disturbed with the sound of streets (motorcycles) especially but you can use your headphone to keep the noises away. The wifi a little bit inconsistent but still ok. Overall, if you need budget hotel for your family getaway, I recommend this hotel to you.

value for your money

Pros: Staffs were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Street view rooms have balcony. Next to Ben Thành Market and Nguyen Hue street. Cons: Wi-Fi was bad in room. Bathroom dark and moldy, needs to be updated and toilet seat replaced.

The Place To Be

Fabulous position near Ben Thanh markets, very clean, but remember it's a 2 star hotel! Staff have little English, but very helpful. Only drama was poor sealing around shower screen. Any water anywhere outside the bathtub was on the floor (needs maintenance that probably won't happen). But don't let that deter you. For a cheap hotel in an excellent hotel, this fits perfectly.

We loved staying here. My kids loved the bath tub. Shopping is a breeze because it's just 4 mins walk to ben thant market & 6 minutes to Malaysian St. Hotel staff is also friendly and helpful.

Excellent location, beds too hard

Apart from the location of this hotel there is not much else to say. 50metre walk to a Ben Tahn market and short to most city tour spots. Condition of hotel good and room nice but beds are very hard. Just as comfy sleeping on floor. No breakfast included but many restaurant close by

A Very Merry DENTAL Holiday

Wow! what can I say, If ever you are able to find friendlier more helpful staff given the fact there English is limited please advise me. I can assure any traveller who chooses to stay here these people will go out of there way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Excellent location right in the heart of Saigon/HCMC, which was the prime reason I chose to stay there only 1 minute away from the Dentist that I chose to use. (West Coast Dental Clinic) which gave excellent service at less than one third of which you would pay in Australia. The only disappointing thing about staying at the Ruby Hotel is that the room facilities that are listed simply do not exist eg no desk, no full size refrigerator, no separate living area, no daily papers, anyway I think all those who read this will understand what I mean. A further downside that occurred to me was the fact I was robbed of my wallet by 2 extremely attractive girls on a motorbike around the central park area promising this mere male all types of se#ual favours, boy what a goose I am I'll tell you blokes DO NOT FALL FOR IT! But once again on the upside the staff and management at the Ruby Hotel could not have been more concerned and showed genuine compassion for me right down to the fact they leant me $300.00 USD until my emergency Credit Cards arrived it just doesn't get any better for friendliness, helpfulness, compassionate, and sheer joy and happiness. I even had dinner with them and there families on several occasions.

シャワーヘッドから水がいくら捻っても出ないので、かなり不便な体制で下から出る蛇口の方で頭や身体を洗った。 スタッフの応対や、部屋の綺麗さはよかったが、カーテンを開けると向かいのビルの非常階段から丸見え。人がいつもそこにいる為カーテンを開けることはなかった。レースカーテンをもう少し透けないようにできればよい。

벤탄시장 바로옆이라 이동하기도 편하고 택시 잡기도 좋다. 낡은 느낌은 나지만 전반적으로 깨끗하다. 마사지샾을 2층에서 하는데 추천하진 않는다. 4인이 패밀리룸에서 묵었는데 청소하고 수건과 칫솔등은 2개씩 줘서 카운터에 따로 말해서 받았다. 직원분들이 엄청 친절하고 문도 먼저 열어주셔서 좋았다. 다음에 또 간다면 다시 갈 의향이 있다. 전체적으로 아주 좋았다.

3일을 여기서 혼자묵었다 좋아서 묵은건 아니다 흡연할수있어서 여기서 숙박하였다 처음 배정받은방에 바퀴벌래있어서 방을옴겼다 호텔스닷컴에 전부결제를 하였는데 안했다고 돈을 요구한다 한참후 2박만 결제하고 1박은 안했단다 어이가없다 난3박 다했다고했다 한참후 맞단다 3박결제한거 다른호텔은 결제한거 다 알고있는데 이호텔은 모른단다 3박이나 있었는데 정말 비추다

有名なベンタイン市場まで徒歩一分も掛からず、二件となりにFamilyMart、周辺にはレストランもあるのでとても便利な場所にあります。 最初にホテルを探す時ですが、となりの店がだいぶ隣接しているのと、ホテル入り口にマッサージの看板があり、ガラス張りのホテル入り口内にはマッサージ嬢もいたので、気付かずスルーしてしまいました。 滞在した三日間ともフロントは男性でしたが、愛想は良くありません。部屋のWi-fiパスワードもフロントに書いてあるので、忘れずにチェックして下さい。 室内は清掃が行き届いていて、快適に過ごせました。値段相応だともいます。アメニティはシンプルですが、必要最低限の物は揃っています。部屋の場所にもよるかも知れませんが、食べ物や飲み物を放置していたら、蟻がたくさん群がっていました。ゴミはその都度処理したほうがよいですね。 そして残念だったのが、最終日のチェックアウト時。飛行機が朝7時台だったので5時にフロントでタクシーをお願いしました。その際に頭をよぎったのが「ぼったくり」。。実は今回の旅行でバイクタクシーのぼったくりに遭ってしまい、警戒心がまだMAXに近かったんです。 そこで、タクシーを呼ぶために電話を掛けていたフロントの男性に、メータータクシーでお願いね。と念を押しました。すると男性は「えっ？メーター？？」と少し戸惑った顔になり、掛けていた途中の電話を切りました。そしてホテルの外に出て行き、おもむろに路上のメータータクシーを呼び止めました。一瞬えっ！？ってなりましたが、まぁこれが普通なんだなと、なんだか変に納得した瞬間でした。
