This was my fourth stay at the Ruby. The room was not as decribed in the images. The kitchen was poorly equipped and the front door required maintainance to open close safely. It's a good locatiom and walkable to Surfers Paradise centre. My daughter likes the pool. The other facilities are unexceptional

It was ok for what we paid… stayed when it first opened a few years ago and it felt clean and fresh but now I feel like the property is not being well maintained.

Lovely apartment and close to beach and city locations.

Overall it was a nice stay. The view was lovely. The hotel is walking distance from everything but the floor was dirty, it looked like it hadn't been vaccumed. The shower still had hair in it from previous guest. The dishwasher smelled really bad and still had food in it from previous guest. The body wash and hand wash was empty

Room 1702 and 1704! The sliding door was really hard to open and close. It was heavy, same as the front door of the apartment. The air conditioning was hot the whole time so we had to open the windows and even that still made little to no difference. The sink in the bathroom was clogged so Everytime we turned the tap on, it filled the sink really quickly. It needs to be unclogged! For the money I paid, I was not satisfied!

We were there to celebrate our duo Birthdays and were given a room with a view of shipping containers ! On the 5th floor as opposed to previous stays there put on the 18th floor with a fantastic view Also went to take a shower and the drain was blocked in the shower so the water overflowed into the whole bathroom! I got a screwdriver and lifted the drain cover which was absolutely full of hair and shower tiles were dirty including mould Was not impressed Had gone down hill not . Told staff members at reception they recorded it but nothing done about it Not sure I would go back !

There is no room service. There is no mini bar in the apartment. Serviced weekly. The cafe/bar is permanently closed. The is a coffee kiosk at reception. We loved the views from the 20th floor. Nice comfortable beds. Air-conditioning was effective. Spacious and modern. The pool is on the small side for a building with so many gusets.The tram stop is just around the corner. 15 minute walk to restaurants on Cavill Ave.

We booked in this Appartement mid Jan. We arrived earlier and they allowed us to check in earlier than agreed time. Apartment was clean and presented well. Didnt have any issues, furniture and appliances were clean and functional. The view was spectacular, no high rise building around it to block the view. The only downside is it’s not right in centre, which I didn’t mind it. It is located in quieter areas of SP. Which is Lovely to have quiet time after big day in town. I highly recommend staying at this place and definitely will be booking it for future stay.

Restaurant closed Cleaning not to standard Small pool

The two bedroom apartment was really good, the space was great, beds were really comfy but it needs a good deep clean. Feet were filthy from the floor, kitchen cabinets needed wiping off which we did some, walls need wiping down, just generally needs a good scrub but shower and everything great.

Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to the Gold Coast. Such a clean and spacious apartment and had everything we needed. The view was amazing also, the kids loved the pool and splash area.

Excellent service from the Ruby Gold Coast

I hadn't realised that I had double booked the apartments and stood to lose over £1000 due to my error. The lady on reception (Ilyna?) resolved the issue and made sure i received a full refund, and was very nice about the whole issue. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with a glorious view

Got a discounted rate and wanted to be in this area so it seemed like a good option, but the apartment we were in was a lot more worn out than expected - it's in need of a new bed, new carpet, new blinds and some touch up painting. None of this was too big a deal as we were out most of each day, but having no towels on arrival and most soap dispensers empty - some of the basics - was a poor experience.

Great value for money. We booked a 2 bed 2 bath unit which is much better and more comfortable than a hotel in my opinion. The property was clean and well maintained, location is close to everything, receptionist was nice. I would definitely book again.

Everything is here, public transport, beach, etc

We love everything about Ruby hotel, hope to have a reservation next time we visit Gold Coast.

Great spot Wish my room for my quiet couple of days away wasn’t above the kids club in the next door resort It was noisy all day , kids screaming and all night I could hear some machine going. I assume was filtration for the kids club water. Wish I’d been given a room on the other side with a better view and not so noisy

Firstly I want to start with the positives. Iriyna on the front desk is the biggest asset to this property. She is professional and accommodating. The issues with the building are not her fault. Now the negatives…I don’t have much time so I’ll cut to the chase. The room and the general cleanliness of this building is sub-standard. For a relatively new building it’s in terrible condition. Aside from my room that was very unclean, if you sit by the pool or surrounds and look at the condition of the furniture you’ll immediately see the run down poorly kept standards. Won’t go on too much more. Well done Iriyna but to the owners and management best you lift your game…very poor indeed

Really enjoyed our stay at Ruby Gold Coast. Reception staff couldn't have been more helpful with all our enquiries. Room on the 22nd floor gave us magnificent views of Surfers Paradise, both north and east. So close to light rail, so left the car at home. Walking distance to small grocery stores, and a pleasant 10 min walk to heart of Surfers. Room had everything we needed, clean, quiet and very spacious. For our visit to the Pacific Airshow, we could not have stayed at better accommondation.

The property is great, staff are accomodating. Checking is was easy and checking out was easier. Will definitely be back.

A romantic getaway

We were celebrating15 yrs anniversary They upgraded us and received a box of chocolates and a late check out Made us feel welcome and special Will be back definitely soon

Rooms nice and big ,clean , would stay again

This place seems fairly new so it’s quite nice but the lounge is covered in stains, it really needs a good clean. Also, the lounge and 2 chairs in the living area are very uncomfortable, we spent a fair amount of time in as my mother is elderly and didn’t want to go out a lot of the time. A nice comfortable lounge would be nice! Sliding glass doors to balcony could do with a clean, dirty finger marks all over it, little children hands That we didn’t have with us! For the price, with only 1 room clean while we were there was pretty steep.

The apartment was huge with a fantastic kitchen and stunning views however the mattresses were stained, the windows dirty and there was rubbish under the bed from the previous occupants. The staff were brilliant but the rooms need a facelift with dirty walls, blinds that are cracking and obvious damage to the floor. It would have been helpful to know in advance the gym and sauna were closed as those were facilities we wanted to use and a reason we stayed. The location was excellent and an easy walk to central Surfers and the beach.

Good for a night or two - it’s new but fairly rudimentary in terms of appointments - but fine for the mid budget traveller. Theres nothing wrong with it but I suspect there are nicer apartments on offer

Steve at reception was great in sorting an issue for us. Have stayed here before and would happily go back.

Locked out of property w times no heating stained sheets, terrible staff

Michelle the general manager is great and makes sure we get goodies on arrival... and throughout our stay. And usually get a message from hotel prior to check in time saying rooms ready.

Aaaah had a power problem the hot water was down but thats all nothing that wasnt fixed

Was a good clean motel

Ruby Gold Coast by CLLIX was amazing. Late check-in was easy. It was safe and quiet at night. Transport was easily accessible. Although we didn't use a carpark or have the time to use the pool or gym it was nice knowing those options were there if needed. Walkable distance to food, drinks and a beautiful sunrise down at the beach. If we could have stayed longer we definitely would have. Thank you.

Well-sized unit - having kitchen and living areas was particularly helpful for our stay. Staff helpful.

The Ruby was very convenient to our conference location, at a very good price. Staff were friendly and the cafe was handy. We enjoyed our time there and certainly would stay at the Ruby again.

a Great stay at Ruby Hotel. clean and modern with everything you need. heated pool was a bonus. it was a shame that the steam room and sauna was out of order for our stay. easy to get to and walkable to the centre of surfers paradise but far enough way to be quite at night. will stay again for sure

Staff are very helpful. Property is in great location for good value. The unit ‘s floor is not very clean, could use a mop. The kitchen cookware needs to be updated. The frying pan is not the “non-stick” type and very hard to clean.

Cleaning should have been better for arrival.

Cleanense and condition no good

The property condition is not good, if you looking for a very pleasant vacation, this is not the one you are going to choose. I booked two nights and decide to check out after one night.

Advertising an on-site dining and cocktail bar, but after our arrival and speaking with staff the next day we were told that the dining and bar areas had been closed for the past five months. If we had been aware of this at time of booking we would have chosen another property to stay at.

The Ruby is conveniently located in the center of Gold coasts buzzling precinct. And because if the angle of the building structure you are able to take advantage of the rising and spectacular setting sun.

The staff were very accomodating. We had a lovely stay and they made us feel very welcome.

We have great time stay in this apartment, short walk to beach, restaurants and shopping. Very recommended.

I was put in a room that haven't had any house keeping done ..add no towels or doona was told that I would have to doona the next day still didn't hear nothing..and found a females pad with blood on it under my bed and when I spoke with the hotel about it still wasn't cleaned for over 24 hours and I for the hotel for high price hotel witch because of the bloody females pag under my bed and was informed that there was no house keeping done on my room by the receptionist that told me this for the rest of my stay I felt dirty being in that room..I was given a free night because I was wanting a full refund..witch I know I should of got a full refund as this is not expected in any hotel nor a expensive or Budget hotel ..I was not given a full refund as this is very serious what has happened and I have the pictures of the bloody females pad to prove this next two paper work that proves I was at that location...Im very disappointed about this as I have a disability on the ndis and my family paid for the hotel and my hotel....I would like to still get a full refund because of this ...they deserve to have this bad review and I'm taking it to a current affair also

Not too Shabby

So overall average in my opinion & room for improvement. 1) check in process when reception is closed arriving after hours could be refined. Security guard luckily was there to assist. 2) room tidy but showing signs of wear, walls marked beyond what would be ‘normal’. -Bed was comfortable however try to request rooms on the south. If you happen to get a room next door to “Paradiso” be warned it’s loud & music/PAs are being played during day hours. So if you’re trying to have a nanna nap/kip in afternoon, forget it! -air conditioner was very loud sounding like an aircraft jet engine. Raised this concern & maintenance person looked at it briefly. Just ended up getting used to it. -location a few blocks away from amenities so it was fine. Again my opinion only & not trying to difficult. Just some improvement required

We stayed with our two teenage girls for a week away in the two bedroom apartments located on 24th floor Ocean view it was a lovely stay staff were helpful

The atmosphere in the lobby is nice. I felt comfortable and relaxed walking in and out of the hotel. The staff on reception were approachable and lovely. The view was spectacular, we had ocean and city view. The apartment itself was okay. It was not sound proof as stated. We heard loud banging from the apartment below us and noises coming from the apartments next to ours. Overall we were pretty happy with the location and the view we had. Free and secure parking was plus as well.

Sink was not clean. Needs stainless cleaner for fat deposits. Wanted to use spare blanket. It seemed was never washed as it was smelling of sweat. Entertainment optiobs were good abd easy to understand. Kitchen overall was clean. Aircon couldn't be better. Awesome. Toilet clean. Bathroom shower tile wall needs clean. Otherwise ok. Swimming pool looked dirty. Not appealing. Reception area looks classy.

Nice but noisy

Staff were all very nice. Great welcome gift and room was comfortable. Unfortunately for myself a solo traveller looking to read and relax the water park next door was very loud and could be heard with the doors closed well into the evening.

The photos are deceptive. Please use your own discretion. It’s fairly far away from circle of cavil, shops etc. Most importantly it’s not very clean. The blankets are dirty and there is no housekeeping, it’s one in 7 days. Not recommended at all! Thanks Monisha

We enjoyed our weekend away. We checked in after hours, communication was excellent. We received a little welcome gifts and a bottle of wine, love it. The Aparthotel is fairly new, location is walkable to Surfers Paradise approx 700m walk. Close to both calm water Budds beach and Main beach. Book here if you want to stay in a less quiet area and away from all the buzz and noise of Surfers Paradise.

Loved our stay at ruby gold coast. The apartment wasnt 100 percent clean. There was some utensils that were abit dirty which i was able to clean easily before use and some black marks and small damages in the walls not too noticeable but other thwn that everything eas pretty good and would stay there again.

As a serviced apartment, there is no cookware in room. We called receptionist, they said housekeeping will get us cookware, but we stayed there 4 nights, it didn’t happen.

The property is in a great location. Easy walk to Cavil St for shopping and dining options. The pool is handy for a relaxing swim. The room itself was well appointed and had spectacular views of the ocean through large windows. However, for a newer building, I was surprised by the dirty walls and skirting boards throughout. Every wall had marks and fingerprints. This was disappointing after paying almost $500 a night for a 3 bedroom apartment.

Our room wasn’t super clean when we arrived - glass window, fridge snd TV was full of finger prints and some of the dishes needed to be cleaned again. Not that close to woolworths/coles - you have to get the tram into surfers. A decent stay but not really worth the thousands we paid for 4 nights.

It was a pleasant walk to Surfers, very close to an early morning walk to Buds Beach, then back for a dip in the pool.

It is dirtier than a backpackers hostel. I found peoples fingernails and toenails on the carpet (the carpet in general looked like it has never been vaccumed) there was mold in the washine machine and all over the shower, and the pool looked so uncleaned. VERY dissapointed in this place, IT IS NOT 4 STARS AT ALL

Great stay. Clean and comfortable. Almost new apartments, large in size. Only 15 minutes walk from Surfers main area and 5 minister walk to the beach. Free self parking a great bonus. Will be back.

Fantastic customer service and great hotel

Nice hotel

Staff were great but the place need lots if love in cleaning. Rooms were very dusty , walls with lots of marks. Blinds filthy , windows with lots of hand prints. Skirtings with thick dust all around it. Had to clean all myself first day of check ins due to dust allergies.

Love this new hotel. The rooms are huge!

Great family trip

Fantastic venue and great service by Irnya I think her name was. Really looked after our family. 2 adults 5 kids stayed in the ocean view 3 bed apartment and it was perfect.

Me and my husband were there for 1 week and the cleaners never came the whole week The apartment was dirty

reservation was cancelled and expected us to pay double the price we booked for. they tried to blame the third party for the cancellation

I had a delightful stay at this hotel! The cleanliness was satisfactory, the location is truly amazing – close to everything yet just a short walk to the heart of Surfers Paradise. The hotel itself is beautiful, making it a perfect choice for a memorable getaway.

The property we were in was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment so it was extremely spacious for 3 people. It was a 5 minute walk to surfers paradise beach and close enough to most restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend it

Great location with reasonable price

Property was very dirty upon arrival, staining on couch, dirty walls, shower covered in mould all around the bottom. Very disappointing

We had a lovely time at Ruby Gold Coast. The rooms were soundproof, they were clean and the pool area was nice. The breakfast options were limited, but it’s just a short walk to find somewhere else to eat.

property and room were great nice and clean well stocked kitchen and towels etc view was good all .was excellent except for the noise from the water park next door the music was annoying during the day but we are oldies and like the peace and quiet but this will not stop us from coming back we loved it

Fantastic Views

Beautiful apartment, nice and friendly staff. Highly recommend it for long stay, couple, friends and family. Has swimming pool, gym, BBQ space, cafe and restaurant/bar and bending machine(snacks and drinks). Also, good location that you have few public transportations, lots shops and restaurants that you could walk and beautiful beach.
