Everything was great.

Nice room , but a bit cramped. Bar was nice but needs more variety of normal top shelf alcohol . Breakfast was fine , scrambled eggs would be a good add.

Room without a refrigerator

The location of the hotel is amazing for me as I was there for the club next door. The room didn’t have a small refrigerator expected from a room of any hotel of this price range or category.

Stayed at a Rubys before and found them to be enjoyable to stay at.

Fantastic location and really cool ambiance. One quip if anything, the pillows were a little to soft for my liking. Other than that, will stay here again, keep up the great work guys!

Chic and niche hotel in Koln

Really chic hotel in good area of Koln, I would highly recommend.

Amazing jewel in the Cologne. Staff really friendly and push on organic food is appreciated. Atmosphere very good, rooms and overall presentation is original and really well designed. Ideally placed closed to center of Cologne makes the ideal place to stay over.

Love the crew welcoming people helping us to find good restaurant where to see overall we were very happy and we recommend people to try this place. It’s beautiful. It’s clean very modern. Thank you.

Wonderful hotel and stay. Air conditioning was not working in one of the three rooms we rented but things like that happen and they did come look at it but couldn’t fix it. They apologized and everyone was nice.

Such a gorgeous place to stay! Book breakfast in advance or it's very expensive. Their in-room hygiene products are excellent and smell so good! Great place.

I had the best experience at Ruby Ella. The staff was lovely and so helpful. I loved the hotel. It was so modern and cool. I would totally recommend to any one and I will try to stay at their locations from here on out. It was a great experience.

Great value for money, cool design and the staff was very nice!

The property was decorated with modern yet classic decor. It was clean and inviting. There was technically no front desk and it was self check in and check out. The bar served as the front desk, the staff were nice and very helpful. No phone to call them, so when we needed our safe reset and needed clean towels we had to go downstairs to speak with someone at the bar. The AC was weak but I believe that it the norm in Germany. I tried to take colder showers to cool off but the temperature would automate to something warmer. Despite these few things we enjoyed our stay. The reception area was kind of small but it did the job. It was convenient to transportation and shopping with a really cool neighborhood convenience store a few doors away. the property was different which also made it kind of fun.

In a great location where you can walk to many restaurants and very close to the shopping area. Not a far walk from the cathedral either!! Staff was very helpful and polite and the room was extremely comfortable and beautiful.

OK stay- room for improvement

The uniqueness of this hotel allows each room access to a "Marshall" amplifier and rent a guitar from the lobby to play in their room however this means every guest has access to an amplifier in their room! Woken up early every morning with banging music. Considering most guests are there on leisure to relax, this is a joke of a concept. Reception said not much they can do, the noisy guests are going home the next day-pretty poor really. Self check in removes personal touch and somewhat makes it feel cheap, you don't feel like you have a point of contact, we arrived at 1.30am and were directed to a tablet and that was it for a greeting. No fridge in the room, no tea or coffee facilities in the room - and was advertised as 4 stars Hotel. There is a communal facility on the 4th floor but who wants to get up and get a lift to the 4th to make a brew in the morning? Free drinks in exchange for no daily cleaning is nice. Pretty good amenities nearby, there is a Rewe supermarket next door, Starbucks on the corner, underground station, and 15 mins walk into town.

I didn't like the setup of the check-in area/lounge tables/elevator, too crowded.

Beautiful hotel but very overpriced for what they offer

It was okay, very basic & way too pricey for what the room & hotel is. They have zero food which is a massive let down.

Cologne is great and this is a great area, but pick a different hotel. 0/10 I'm usually very understanding, but wow. AC broken, electrical generally on the fritz, rooms missing some basics like a phone and clock/alarm. When approached about the ac being broken, staff, especially what seemed to be management could only shrug and say "yeah that happens but we can't do anything since we're sold out". This includes when giving a private review after my stay, again, shrug... "we'll look into it and make sure our staff get better training"... Next time, try at least a refund instead of leaving a customer in a roasting-hot room with flickering lights for a week. To be clear, this isn't some front-desk or general hotel worker's problem, those folks seemed to genuinely care but just had no way to help, if this is known to happen I doubt they had insufficient training given that even when communicating directly they didn't give even a partial refund. I hate to think the lower level might get blamed, but wow worst hotel stay I've had in a long time.

Cool hotel

Very cool hotel with nice interior and details. Comfy bed, a good shower and I loved the smell of their products. Also very nice to have a Bluetooth speaker in the room. The floor in my room had dust and crumbles on it when I arrived , so I doubt it was vacuumed very carefully, which was a bit disappointing.

New hotel still has a lot to learn

Let me first say that the staff was very helpful and friendly, some even more "familiar" than others, awkwardly using the "Du" form of address when speaking to a 68-year old guest. The first pleasant thing that you encounter on entering is the perfume fragrance that goes through the hotel. They explain that they don't clean the rooms or change the bed linen during your stay due to Covid (?), but gave me a drinks voucher instead. When I had a full waste-paper bin or dirty towels, I informed reception and it was dealt with during the day. As regards their room concept, it is sparse; firstly, the single rooms are very small, but for some reason fitted with a massive bed that makes it difficult to walk around without banging your shins on the very sharp bed edges. There is no coffee-maker, nor cups or glasses; there is no fridge for guests to cool their water or leave their snacks. And there is no phone, no contact to reception unless you go downstairs. I had noisy neighbors for 2 of my 4 nights, and would like to have phoned down to complain at 2 am, but couldn't. Why have staff on duty 24/7 if they don't know the problems going on upstairs? It's a new hotel, so some leeway is to be granted, but it would have shown goodwill and enthusiasm by offering guests a lower room price or at least an upgrade to a bigger room. I experienced this claustrophobic feeling last year at a citizen M hotel in another country - apparently minimalism may be in with children, but not adults.

Das Hotel ist ca.15 Gehminuten vom Dom weg. Lage fanden wir für uns perfekt, denn das belgische Viertel (Div.Bars, Restaurants und Clubs) sind direkt um die Ecke. Die Ehrenstrasse ( Einkaufsstrasse mit kleinen, namhaften und schönen Boutiquen) ist in 5 Gehminuten erreichbar. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und stylisch eingerichtet. Parking direkt unter dem Hotel. Das Personal überaus bemüht und freundlich! Ich komme wieder.

Prima hotel. Goed bereikbaar met eigen auto of openbaar vervoer. Tip: de parkeergarage tegenover het hotel (Parkhaus Ring Karree) heeft een gunstig tarief als je na inrijden direct bij het kantoortje en meerdagenkaart koopt.

Nicht mehr so wie es mal war

Bei meinem 1. Aufenthalt wirklich schön und sehr sauber. Bei diesem Aufenthalt wirkte mein Zimmer etwas abgeranzt, der Boden ist durch, Zimmer war nicht komfortabel und es war durchweg sehr kalt. Leider hat die Lüftung nicht richtig funktioniert und hat im eingeschaltetem Zustand die ganze Nacht gelaufen, einzig die Lage war perfekt für mich

Check in mit Tablet sehr umständlich und mühsam. Durch das dunkle Licht an der Bar konnte man kaum lesen. Auch sehr negativ ist das bargeldlose Zahlen. Für jede Transaktion muss man Gebühren bezahlen. Allein aus diesem Grund würde ich nicht mehr kommen. Frühstück ist zu teuer (Preis/Leistung). Ansonsten Zimmer und Sauberkeit sehr gut.l

Das Personal war sehr sympathisch und sehr gastfreundlich. Das Zimmer war ok. Aufgrund des relativ kleinen Fensters und der Innenhoflage des Hotels aber auch kein Zimmer in dem man sich besonders lange aufhalten will. Das Hotel liegt etwas versteckt in einem Innenhof direkt am Kölner Ring; mit unzähligen Bars, Restaurants, Clubs und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Alles super, gerne wieder beim nächsten Städtetrip.

Nacht ist sehr kalt

Das ganze Hotel hatte ein angenehmen Geruch. Ich hatte das Gefühl,daß die Mitarbeiter hier gerne beschäftigt sind.

Sehr offen,unkompliziert,sehr nett eingerichtet,aber manchmal soviel hohe Stühle.Der Empfang ist sehr umständlich,man muss nochmal die persönliche Daten eingeben ,,und der Chip ist sehr empfindlich.

Sehr zentral, dennoch ruhig gelegen. Leckeres Frühstück und sehr schöne gemütliche Zimmer.

Wir geniessten zwei Tage in Köln. Das Personal hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir erhielten einen Tiefgaragenplatz. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und befindet sich an einer Hauptstrasse dennoch ist es ein wenig versteckt wenn man mit dem Auto kommt. In der Nacht war es ruhig und die Zimmer praktisch eingerichtet. Einziges kleines Manko: Das Bett war eher klein und in der Dusche hat es einen Vorhang so dass man vorsichtig sein muss. Wir kommen wieder

Die Größe des Zimmers war überschaubar. Waschbecken im Raum unpraktisch. Laute musik war zu hören. Parkmöglichkeiten sehr eingeschränkt.

Perfektes Stadthotel

Hervorragend mittendrin und trotzdem ruhig gelegen, fantastisches Personal, aufmerksam, superfreundlich und schnell, tolle Bar. Wow Zimmer hatte gute Größe, aber die Matratze war für zwei doch zu "schwach". Die tolle großzügige Dusche ist nur mit Vorhang "gesichert", so dass ungewollt das halbe Bad nach dem Duschen unter Wasser steht. Aber die Kritikpunkte sind nur Kleinigkeiten. Definitiv würden wir wieder kommen, wenn's nach Köln geht.

Wir hatten das Ruby Ella nur für eine Übernachtung gebucht, um in Köln essen zu gehen. Das Zimmer war sauber, ruhig und mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, die man so braucht ausgestattet. Für lediglich eine Übernachtung war die Größe auch optimal. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt wäre die schon schwieriger. Toilette und Dusche sind mit ihm Raum, lediglich durch eine Glastür getrennt! Daran werde ich mich, zumindest bei der Toilette, wohl nie gewöhnen. Auch das man zum Waschbecken mitten im Raum steht. Aber das sind auch schon die einzigen "Bemängelungen". Das Personal war stets ansprechbar und freundlich. Wir waren abends im Shaka Zulu essen und am nächsten Morgen im Kaffeesaurus frühstücken. Beide Lokalitäten fußläufig erreichbar und sehr zu empfehlen. Kleines Video davon auf Insta @timbos.food.world

Eine sehr gute Lage. Am Wochenende und damit hoher Auslastung sind die Parkplätze leider nicht ausreichend. Frühstück ist OK. Ein Tipp sind die Drinks an der Bar. Wunderbare entspannte Atmosphäre am Abend und grundsätzlich sehr zu empfehlen.
