Love this hotel. Subway station right beside the entrance. I would book here again the next time I come back to Osaka.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Front staff member escorted me to the exterior stairs to get to the beach below with clear instructions on how to get there. Thank you for an excellent stay.

The hotel room was very good and comfortable, staff are friendly and housekeeping was excellent.

Good shuttle service to and from the underground and was free

This hotel is my goto in Hong Kong as it is somewhat close to the airport yet doesn't have the local airport rates. Rooms are always clean. Checking in and out are smooth.

The hotel was ok. The family room was big enough for 2-nights stay. One of the male receptionists was really helpful and informative. The breakfast was average. The hotel is hard to reach and it was always complicated and tiring to travel to it. Otherwise - all good. And we got an upgrade - a view towards the bridge, which was somehow cool.

Good hotel if you want peaceful stay. Downside is far from city.

Just spent one night. It was nice. Our room had a great view.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Royal View and most likely would stay again. The main hang-up is that it is very far from Hong Kong proper, but honestly, this adds to the charm as you can take a nice reprieve after some urban exploration. Still, some might not like how far it is from the core city.

I am not first time to stay in this hotel. As been stay many time and years. Because I and my family all love choice stay in this hotel while we back and visiting HK. This hotel's good location and good services. I am happy to stay.

The Hotel area is very quite, nice view. Room is good in size and is very clean. Quite place and only a 15 minutes shuttle ride from Tsuen Wan. From there, you can connect to the subway system.

After staying one night, my husband’s both legs got sooo many insects bites and we informed the hotel, they just sprayed some sanitizer on the carpet around bedding area. They claimed it could be my husband got allergy only for I was on the other bed and it did not affect me. We suggested it might be the mattress as we slept on 2 separated single bed. No rooms was changed and deeply sanitized. My husband got more bites during our stay. Very very upset. Also, it did not clearly state there is fee on local phone calls. Customers has to download their QR code to understand their charges. As an elderly, we totally not knowing that until we did the check out. Really disappointed.

Good value and convenient to many things

Good value budget hotel

Beautiful sea view and quiet environment besides the beach. Room is a little out-dated but spacious and clean. We enjoyed a sea view room a lot. Though hotel is distance from city centre but not too far. Hotel has shuttle bus every 15 mins to bring you to subway station which takes about 10 mins. As long as you don’t expect to travel in and out the hotel a lot during the day, you should feel ok. Subway and transportation system in HK is very sophisticated and convenience therefore no need to stay in expensive hotel in city centre if you’re on budget.

The property location is not too central. But there is shuttle bus service between property and Tsuen Wan subway station.

The staff was very helpful. The views from the hotel were stunning. It met all of my basic needs while traveling in Hong Kong.

This hotel is not to be slept on. Sure you have to take a shuttle to the nearest transit stop but the view is unbeatable. I woke up every morning to the most gorgeous view of the water. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the staff are super friendly and professional. The only thing I would change is the scent in the room. To me, it smelled like an ashtray.

I like the size of the room. It has a fridge and a microwave oven. The room is well laid with a sleeping area, a sitting room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The room is clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus service is excellent. I am really happy with my stay.

A comfortable stay

It was a comfortable stay. 3 of us stayed in a 2 queen bed room for 2 nights. It was roomy in Hong Kong standard. Hotel’s shuttle bus provides free transfer to Tsuen Wan MTR which was a great plus. If without this, I’m afraid very few people would choose this hotel as transportation would have been inconvenient. A shuttle ran every 20-30 mins, and the ride was about 15 mins. There were times some guests couldn’t get on because of running out of seats. That means the wait would be another 20-30 mins. Need to take that into account. My room had a nice view which made me feel great. It also had swimming, sauna, steam room, etc. facilities which were awesome for that price. There was a beach nearby for swimming. We didn’t try their breakfast, restaurant nor vending machine. No other options for food and shopping, but there were tons at Tsuen Wan MTR and other places of Hong Kong. Dehumidifier, air purifier, kettle, and in-room safety box were available, but the safety box didn’t work.

Far from everything. The location is too far from everything. No other buildings nearby. You cant walk to the shops. The concierge and the security staff were very good. The front office staff are very cold and rude. Charis was very rude. The breakfast was very good though staff were cold but better than FO staff.

Pleasant Stay, But Some Serious Cleanliness Issues I recently stayed at the Royal View Hotel after booking a deal through Expedia. While the hotel has some definite positives, there were also significant drawbacks that affected my experience. Let's start with the positives. The hotel is in a great location—close to downtown, Disney, and the airport, which was very convenient for my trip. The property itself is attractive, and from what I could see of other rooms, they looked quite luxurious. The on-site restaurant was handy, though the breakfast and lunch options were pretty limited. If you plan on using the bus service, be prepared to wait—lines were incredibly long, and I waited up to 45 minutes just to board. Unfortunately, the room I was given (742) left a lot to be desired. It was shockingly dirty when I checked in, to the point where it seemed like no one had been in the room for a long time, or the cleaning staff simply forgot to make it presentable. There were dirty glasses left in the room, crumbs all over the floor, and the sofa was in such a filthy state—covered in crumbs and dried stains—that I couldn't bring myself to sit on it. This was a big disappointment, and it left me questioning whether I received a subpar room because I booked through Expedia. If you can be guaranteed a clean room, and you're just looking for a conveniently located place to sleep, the Royal View Hotel might work for you.

Hotel location & view was very nice.

It was on the edge of Tsuen Wan, but the hotel has a shuttle to take you into town. It drops you off at the train station where you can take a train anywhere in Hong Kong, or you can roam Tsuen Wan. Plenty of shopping and restaurants there. The property itself was suitable.

Nice and clean!

Extra charge for local call. Pictures misleading. Super old room and with mold everywhere. The facet not even fixed. Ask to call car service but never receive call back. The price is very cheap but rather pay more to have cleaner room and better service.

I like the sea view and very quiet. No very convenience but the hotel provided free shuttle bus going to MTR station every 15minutes. I enjoyed my staying.

Good deal for the room

The hotel is a bit dated with walls need repaint and fixture in the bathroom shown wear and tear. Like the shuttle bus provides to get to the Tsuen Wan MTR station. However, I was disappointed by the self-laundry service not available to the short stay customer, only for the contracted tenants.

Customer service was amazing, I was given an early checkin and the staff are really helpful.

I love the Lido beach

They know that they are far from stations, so they provide shuttle service every 10-15 minutes. It is really convenient given that it is available all the time. The staff and management are kind, too. Our flight to Hong Kong was cancelled at first (our first night stay at the hotel) and they were able to make necessary changes to accommodate our new travel dates. We just presented proof of flight cancellation and they accepted it.

Nice hotel. Staff nice and friendly. Hotel is quite old, but cleanliness is acceptable. The play rooms for kids are amazing. However, the arcade machine is not working properly. There's only a beach can go around the hotel. No shop or other place can go. And hotel restaurant not open for dinner. But there's free shuttle bus can go to Tsuen Wan MTR station, so not a issue for dinner or shopping. I recommend the hotel and want to stay again.

Shuttle is a little inconvenient

The service is superb! From frontdesk to housekeeping to shuttle service. Our stay was comfortable even if the location is a bit dar from city. This was not an issue for us to go around the tourist-y places.

The hotel needs an update on carpets and skirting as they are all stained and scuffed, it doesn’t match its 4star rating. The concierge is very welcoming and very helpful

Property is getting old. You cannot bring back cold foods for there is no microwave to reheat foods.

The Royal View Hotel was easily one of the nicest hotels/rooms I’ve stayed in! It was extremely nice, spacious, and the amenities were up to par!

Easy access to places i want to go

The property is nice and quiet, beautiful scenery, exactly what we wanted away from busy Hong Kong. 10mins drive away from city center but very convenient with shuttle bus. Even if you are short of anything (including food), the hotel has vending machines that has everything you need for your stay at a reasonable price. Staffs in the hotel are all very understanding and helpful. I feel that this hotel really put in an effort to help their clients feel comfortable at home. We stayed for more than 2 weeks and will look forward to a longer stay in the future. Thanks again for all your help!

Mold around the bath sink and shower. Front doors were closed when we arrived, has to use side door to get to reception, windy and cold and nobody to help with door or luggages:( Terrible breakfast , open late at 8 am. Good thing is beds are comfortable, has a good sleep and view is beautiful!

Overall, our stay wasn’t bad. The room was clean and spacious enough for two people. If you’re looking for a calm and quiet place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of downtown HK then this place is the right one for you! You get scenic view of the ocean and mountains as well. I didn’t really get to explore their amenities but wanted to take a look at their sky garden but it appears it was close for renovation. Also, hotel didn’t offer room service (front desk states kitchen is close when the restaurant is close) and there’s not much food or dining options around the area. There are vending machines with food and microwave on the side to warm your food- this would be your only option if you didn’t bring food before returning to hotel. Staff were mostly friendly and would help if you have any questions.

Nice experience

Even though the hotel is located not in the city center but the hotel provides a shuttle service to n from subway station. This is definitely a plus. Will recommend other people to stay at this hotel.

Decent hotel but a bit far out

Quiet location with mountain and ocean views away from busy urban areas. But you can’t escape the motorways and faint rumble of traffic in the background. Lovely spacious room for Hong Kong hotel. Clean. Efficient and courteous staff. 5 minutes walk from a clean public beach. Great roast goose at Tsuen Wan! The main downside is having to travel an additional 10-15 minutes from Tsuen Wan MTR to the hotel on the free regular shuttle bus service. Otherwise a decent place to stay for a good price

Nice hotel, house keeping required attention.

The hotel is beautiful. In general, service meets the standard of its class including front desk, shuttle, and restaurant, however, house keeping appears to be substandard. Room cleaning isn't scheduled daily, unless requested by guest, and no matter what, only partially done. Glass and cup cleaning ignored, hair in bathroom never clean resulted to serious drainage blockage. Maintenance staff had to be called in to resolve the problem. The technician worked and talked back, didn't seem to regret for the inconvenience so caused, or their inadequacy to house keeping.

The Hotel is very conveniont to find from the Airport and not far from the Airport so the transportation cost is reasonable.

We were staying for this Hotel for five nights. Generally speak, this Hotel is fine for short periods stays; it has free Shuttle Bus to and from MTR station.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom cleanliness is acceptable and can be improved.

The hotel looks old, the exterior looks like it was built in the 80’s or the 90’s but inside it’s actually bright. There’s a 1k HKD deposit that we didnt read somewhere but it’s okay. Limited transpo but they have a free shuttle. We actually lost one of the key cards but we weren’t charged for it. They also strictly followed the app. We also got an upgrade, when we got there they upgraded us to a sea-view room. Staff were nice and helpful. I really love the view from our hotel room! Would want to go back here..

Nice facility such as jacuzzi, spa and sauna, but inside individual gender changing room, so have to do it myself instead of with my fiancé. The shuttle service is good, especially the area is a bit far away from public transportation. The service is good.

Room Condition needs some upgrade. Unpleasant smell in room that should be fixed. I did get a good rate therefore still give a 4.

Well-maintained hotel. One thing tho I dont remember seeing the rule that we have to pay 1kHK$ when I booked, so I was kinda surprised but we got it back anyway after check out. They do not have laundry machines, you have to pay for the laundry service—per piece. I got an upgrade to a seaview room which is really nice.

The property is quiet. It is right by the beach. My room has a nice ocean view. I like the free shuttle bus service. The only thing that was not good was the cleaning lady forgot to take away the garbage twice.
