Good location
Very friendly staff. Some confusion as they were just bought out. Overall it is an old motel that had a minor renovation. The pool area is well done.
The front desk was attentive, property clean.
The hotel recently changed owners and during this transition phase, there were a lot of little things done poorly, like no glasses in the rooms, no menus, no 'do not disturb' signs. When we asked we were just told, 'yeah, we're in transition.' OK. Well. But the most annoying thing is that the hotel is set up such that you cannot contact the front desk directly. There is literally no phone at the desk. When you call the hotel number, you're actually calling a call center somewhere across the planet. The agent will take your question and then call you back within a couple hours. It's annoying. And there are so many other hotels in PS, why deal with this nonesense?
Fantastic
A few hiccups as they transitioned owners it seems (no WiFi for a few days and some problems with the door keys) otherwise it was a great stay and a beautiful property. Kind of underrated for a boutique hotel in the area. We will definitely be back!
Not worth the price for what they provide
The room was big and nice, but that's about all I can say for it. There were two Apple TV-operated TVs in the room, but neither of them worked properly, and one day the wifi was out entirely and we couldn't access them at all. They also never cleaned our rooms or replaced the towels, after a couple days I asked for new towels and they said housekeeping was by request only, but no one told us that when we checked in and it wasn't in the welcome info. There's also no phone in the room so we had to go to the front desk for all these issues. When I did ask for fresh towels, no one got them for me, I was directed to go to the laundry room myself. Also the front desk phone number that we were sent ahead of time was out of service (the hotel had a new name and must have changed hands between booking and our trip, but no one ever reached out to tell us this). Also the restaurant did not have the hour advertised, which was not the only change since "rebranding" (e.g. the hotel we booked advertised a minibar, but no such thing was in the room). The pool area was nice, the room was nice, but they have a lot of work to do to justify the price. The bathroom didn't even have a towel rack.
Our stay at Life House was amazing. The staff at Life House were so friendly and accommodating and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They have a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy with so many areas to lounge and enjoy food and drinks from their bar poolside.
The hotel was nice overall and staff were very nice. I just had issues with cleanliness. I went to take a shower and there was a ton of dark black long hair all over the side of the shower at eye level. I understand that things happen so went to the lobby that morning to request the room be cleaned. And no one ever came. I went back to the lobby at 5pm and was told house keeping had already left. It was definitely disappointing and pretty gross.
The rooms were great and clean! I think they are still working out some kinks with the check in process. They told me I didn’t pay ahead, yet I had my receipt from hotels.com, then 1/2 thru my trip they told me that they didn’t charge me the full amount? So I had to pull up my credit card statement to show that I had paid all necessary fees. And on my last night there my toilet stopped flushing but they didn’t have anyone who could look at it so I had to move rooms. All in all the stay was nice, the breakfast was delicious, just need to make sure the check in process is smoother.
Great
Staff was great. Pool bar awesome
Had a great time at the hotel staff was amazing!
Obsessed with this location. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay, wish we could have stayed longer. From Le Labo to the pool and check-in being a breeze, will definitely be staying again next year.
Fantastic stay
I’m glad we didn’t listen to some of the mixed reviews. Sure a bit pricier than some of the alternatives next door but our rooms was spacious, clean, comfortable and well designed. The entire staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Lyon’s directly across the street didn’t hurt either. Will be back next time we’re in Palm Springs.
Loved the ambience of the life house
Property is newly renovated. Comfy beds and pillows. Great pool, quiet and extremely clean
Lifehouse told us our reservation was cancelled less than 24 hours before checking in.
Top motel
July 2024 stay.
Stunning hotel, has been modernised in a beautiful way and gladly stay here again. Food and drinks by the pool were great.
Lovely!
We had a wonderful stay! Loved the aesthetic, the pool and the free bike rental! The air conditioning was very loud in the room but we only stayed one night so not a huge deal.
Great environment & cozy restaurant
Perfect stay in Palm springs Loved the vibe and I will definitely stay here again
The hotel is an aged asset with only several cosmetics updates. Floors 1-2 had a complete HVAC failure after arriving. Displacing multiple guests. They definitely need to invest more capital in mechanical upgrades.
Beautiful boutique hotel!
Great staff and property! Would definitely stay again!
I recently stayed at life house with a party of 16 people, and our experience was unfortunately subpar. The main issue that plagued our stay was the non-functional air conditioning in several of our rooms. With the weather being quite warm, the lack of A/C made our rooms extremely uncomfortable.
AC broken in first room. Moved to new room. Bathroom dirty. Had to request it to be clean. Television wouldnt work properly both nights. Front staff wouldn’t respond to communication messages. Pool cloudy and tile dirty.
Room was nice, comfortable bed, used the pool which seemed pretty clean. This is a motel so could park near my room. I was on the 2nd fl w/a nice view of the mountains and a balcony with a table & 2 chairs. Was planning to eat at the restaurant but it didn’t have a/c and outside temp was in the 90’s so I went elsewhere.
Great service at reception
Great stay! Everything you could ask for as a road trip stop, and more! Cute, delicious food, and quiet!
Pool needs extra attention morning and afternoon. Bar was not properly staffed to handle guests. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly and professional.
Can’t wait stay here again, it’s the perfect place for a getaway
Quick overnight stay
Bikes need to be replaced, they are pretty old. My friend and I rode to That Pink Door which was only a 6 min ride. Room could’ve been a little cleaner, I hate seeing hair in a room. I came in from LA and my friend came from Dallas, first time in palms for her so I wanted it to be enjoyable.
Overall, this is an Excellent Place! I traveled with my husband and 3-month-old baby, and we booked a Deluxe Suite, which was perfect for our stay. This place has the best and cutest decor in Palm Springs, in my opinion. The staff was top-notch, easy and quick to communicate with, and very accommodating. We got a superb crib for our baby with the same-day notice. On our day of check out, we saw some other families with infants, so I would say that this place is very family-friendly. We tried Minerva restaurant for breakfast, and our Sunrise Sandwich and California Fast Burrito were delicious. I was sad that our deluxe suite didn't have a balcony/view of the San Jacinto mountain but of a parking lot, but it's not a big deal. There were a few things that, in my opinion, that would make our stay even better. For example, the AC in the room side, not the living room, of the deluxe was set on the fan, and we couldn't adjust it to AC, so it was a bit hot to sleep. Personally the pillows for me were too big/firm, and the bed too soft. Overall, we liked the place and plan on staying here again!
Not enough parking for the guests, not even street parking. The room overall was in good condition, the overall aesthetic and ease of access to amenities are great. However, I discovered a toe nail in the shower upon arrival, the crevices of the tiles and in between shower doors was not thoroughly cleaned. Pool was good but the bar tender who served us was quite passive aggressive maybe since it was half hour till the closing time (the bar closes quite early too).
Had an amazing time and decor was amazing
Great value for a lovely vintage modern get away
Great girls trip with my mom. Staff was super attentive, prompt, and friendly. Really love the cute modernization of this historical Location while maintaining some Original Aesthetics. Loved the decor. Very comfy beds with lots of pillows!!! Enjoyed our drinks and snacks from Minerva’s pool bar, and had a great cool off in the beautiful pool area. Would come again and recommend.
Cute and affordable
Cute and well priced, stayed with some friends and had a good time. The only issue was it felt like the staff may still be working out some of the kinks of service. Food orders were forgotten or extremely delayed, some staff didn’t seem to totally know how to do their job. However, they were all very nice and helpful. Overall, it was still a good experience.
Pool is murky, walls are thin, not a good night sleep, rooms on either side had party/chatter well past 230am. Decor is super cute staff was hospitable location great easy parking lots great restaurants nearby.
Alicia at the pool bar was incredible! We had a wonderful weekend spending our baby moon here and cannot wait to come back.
We weren’t told rooms service must be requested specifically, then nobody was available. We had to mention a couple times to remove food from the room after asking roomservice to go in. Price is slightly too steep for a motel style hotel. Thank you for visiting message says thanks for visiting Napa when we visited palms springs. Attentiveness needs to improve. No water in the lobby when it’s hot or no cups when needed. Expected a bit more for the price
great hotel very palm springs vibe super clean and tidy we booked from new zealand so was a bit of a risk for us but super happy kids had an a joining room which was great tidy and clean def stay again.
Girls Trip
My friend and I were recently there for a girls trip and had a lovely time. The decor is amazing and well done. The rooms are already starting to show some wear and tear though and there was pet urine on our balcony one morning. We love dogs, but when we texted to ask for help getting it cleaned up we didn't hear back. The pool area is absolutely lovely and the chairs and amenities like the water and ice machine and sunscreen are great touches. There was an event there this weekend and they made sure hotel guests had priority spots at the pool which wad great. It was clear the restaurant staff were not very prepared for a large rush of people though with long waits and forgotten orders at breakfast. Overall it was a fun stay and we will be back. The beds were comfy and the decor is fun and clearly in-line with the spirit of Palm Springs.
I stay in Palm Springs all the time. I know all the good, bad, amazing and in between hotels. This is an old motel (like most in PS) that has been renovated. The beds are comfortable, the bedding high quality, the bathroom products (Le Labo) incredible. The outside of the hotel is a little dated and old but I believe they are working on that. The pool is great and the staff friendly. Great coffee and overall nice relaxed vibe. Not stuffy or ‘too cool’ like so many others have become
Run down and LOUD
Although the rooms are fairly good the place is pretty run down. Especially the exterior, definitely a motel feel. DJ at the pool played nonstop LOUD music. Service was good at the pool.
Great small restaurant and bar. Lovely staff. Nice pool and outside bar.
I visited Life House this week with my two children for three nights. We got a double queen next to the pool. The room was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Albeit small, the bathroom was cute and clean and the bath products were outstanding. It was really easy to walk to the pool area from our room. The pool area is clean and has many seating areas with cabanas and loungers. I was comfy, it was easy to run back to the room and my kids had an absolute ball. The staff was so nice and wonderful and the bartender makes an amazing pina colada. I will definitely be back.
This property has a great modern nod to the retro elegance of the golden era. All the finishes and warm color palette as well as the music and scent through the hotel common areas and luxury in room products have been carefully selected to make a great first and lasting impression. It was comfortable, clean relaxing and fun. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Just an adorable property with a wonderful staff
Very cool property - rooms well appointed, very good experience at restaurant - highly recommend.
This is my second time returning, the staff are consistently cordial and helpful. The beds are super comfy and the rooms are clean. Love the private patio off the room and pool area.
