Fantastic!

Excellent hotel, located not far from the lake and just minutes away from the train station. Spacious, calm, comfortable room with all the amenities. Access to the wonderful spa and fitness room. Delicious breakfast buffet with efficient, gracious staff ! Highly recommended if your budget allows.

A gorgeous hotel with a great spa. Very conveniently located for local transport. The dining and bar at the hotel were excellent. I was there for my birthday and the team at the hotel really went the extra mile to make it special - thank you! I would highly recommend.

Spa heaven

Wonderful hotel and service. At the front desk, Laura, was great and so sweet. Also the Italian Concierge was very helpful. The spa was one of the best we’ve ever enjoyed in a hotel. We would come back just to spend time there again!

Incredible staff and service

Comfortable elegance and excellent service

Really amazing comfort and refinement in an old establishment with many beautiful modern features. The hotel went the extra mile for us in many ways especially recognizing that we were celebrating a birthday. We found the linens and towels and products of excellent quality. The breakfast was very good. We also enjoyed the proximity to bus and metro lines as well as the short walk to the lake. Would highly recommend this hotel

Fantastic Stay! The spa and pool was refreshing after a long day of travel. Excellent area for all the shops and restaurants and not far from the Olympic Museum! Highly recommend 👍

Amazing experience

Staff were excellent and made our trip special. The room was well considered and a good size. The hotel itself is clean, spacious and the spa is a good extra. The hotel is a very quick and easy metro ride (included within the city tax) from the train station. Thank you for a great stay.

Proper overall 5 star experience. From the checkin to the checkout and everything in between. Breakfast is excellent and varied. Well appointed rooms. On site Parking with EV chargers. Thoughtfully including a public transportation pass, giving Lausanne’s steep hills, that was most welcome.

Lovely hotel, service could be improved

Concierge staff are excellent. Unfortunately the service fell flat for the rest of the trip. Our room was not ready on time and we had to wait in the bar for it to be ready, this was not ideal with a toddler who needed a nap. Food was average for the cost. Pool was lovely. Room very nice and spacious. We stayed for our honeymoon and unfortunately there was no acknowledgement of this which was a shame.

Really nice

The service was disappointing for a 5 star hotel. We had many problems with housekeeping that forced us to leave the room for hours at a time on several days. When the problems were brought to the front desk, they brushed it off and our issues continued. Communication was poor. We were told the water, coffee, tea, and “food” were complimentary and then charged 24 CHF for a Toblerone. On the positive side, the Sky Lounge had a spectacular view and good drinks. The location is central to the lakes and shopping, with metro access included in the room. Nice property, just wish the service was better.

A great first night stay for my family. So glad we chose to come to Lausanne instead of a stay in Geneva where we flew in. Beautiful hotel, everyone was VERY friendly. I wish I knew how to speak French but they made me feel very comfortable with the transition to English. The hotel TV adjusted to English when we turned it on. Just a nice touch to make us feel more welcome and that someone thought to do that. Made us feel special. I would stay here again and I’m going to learn more words to say in French next time! Merci!

Not a New Years event to remember

Over priced , poor and slow service, not enough staff and definitely not a location for New Years event. The New Years Party set up and organisation was embarrassing to say the least, terrible …….a so called DJ in a meeting room with 30 silver ballon’s , it felt like a teenage disco . Each guest reactions as they arrived said it all also - this was funny to watch. The food is way over priced and drink even more so, but food was good when it came , spa was nice and relaxing and the room was nice and tidy. Overall - disappointed I simply could not recommend it tho - sorry.

Fabulous stay at this hotel!

My family and I spent two nights at this hotel and we cannot fault the service in any way. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing stay. The food was outstanding in both the Sky Lounge and Brasserie; whilst the spa facilities hit every spot too - from massage to the pool. Highly recommend staying there as easy to travel around the city too.

If you’re looking for a hotel with a grand spa, look no further! The facials and massages were some of the best ever and the numerous water options were amazing.

Everything is fine except the pillows are too soft, that makes my hair very fussy every morning.

Classy hotel with modern and comfortable rooms. Amenities as well as spa are very nice as well. Five star service of course.

Stay was ok. The hotel looks very nice on the outside and I’m torn to rate it on the interior bc parts are beautiful but our bathrooms floors had nasty spots and the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. We spent 2 night wit barely any aaC and the weather was 30 Celsius. We were very uncomfortable sleeping. Front desk staff was nice and so were breakfast staffing. The best one was the Italian concierge. He was so exceptional nice and helpful.

Beautiful property ideal location not too far to city center and close to the lake. Amazing spa facility with private female only options in the female locker room. Amazing facial options and facial products. Great breakfast. Great concierge and staff members. Beautiful rooms in a historic yet remodeled building. All around 5/5 stars. Perfect stay.

Plumbing Backup

A grand hotel from another era. Sadly, with old structures like this, don’t be surprised if the plumbing backs up into your shower. The real travesty is that management pretended to fix it by spraying room freshener.

Totally Worth It!

Outstanding staff, 5-star rooms, one of the best breakfasts offerings I've ever seen, state of the art gym and pool. I've traveled to a lot of places, and Royal Savoy Lausanne is easily one of the very top hotels I've stayed at. (for comparison, I was at the Mandarin Oriental in NYC recently).

The hotel was a hub for local elite, super luxury with extremely nice staff and concierge. The spa was the best I've ever seen at a hotel setup and room were spacious and very chic. No negative all positive.

The stay was great, breakfast was perfect. Service was wonderful including the attendance at breakfast. I also managed to enjoy the heated pool. I would recommend being extra careful in the wet area with the black tiles.

The best yet!

The best hotel I have stayed in to date. Amazing service upon check in. They arranged a beautiful birthday cake for my husband in our room. Gorgeous room and view, with beautiful amenities. The spool and spa was luxurious. The concierge were so helpful, they helped us find where we wanted to go. Breakfast was outstanding with a good selection. The croissants were incredible. I would highly recommend. Just stunning all over.

Worth the price!

We loved the hotel, loved the city, the rooms, and the views are GORGEOUS! I recommend adding the breakfast, as the staff and food are fantastic. Some might view this hotel as a splurge, but it's worth it. Plus, the cheesecake is out of this world if you have a late-night craving. Book it, or you'll be sorry!

A whole lot of heaven at the Savoy!

Three night mid week stay with family. great welcome from Eddy (reception) and Goran (concierge). Personal approach without being intrusive. wonderful breakfast outdoors with very attentive staff - coffee and tea order remembered every day - Spa was fabulous and a gym open 24hrs. absolutely must do is have cocktails in the sky lounge - has a New York vibe about it. Hotel provides all day public transport pass. make use of it and visit the old city and wander through the cobbled streets. great location - 5 minute walk to Ouchy - lake side and a variety of restaurants within walking distance. Dont miss a trip to the Olympic museum or a swim in the lake at Vidy.

Would recommend reserving services and dining in advance .. otherwise a very professional hotel with excellent amenities and all round great experience

Solid but not overwhelming.

Good but not on-par with other 5 stars in Lausanne. Cheaper though so maybe, that’s the trade-off? Service and food mostly were not as good as The room was good but as a frequent customer of the Lausanne Palace, I was expecting better.

we really love this hotel. the room is big, staff are nice. location is good. swim pool and spa are sooooo good! highly recommend. only one thing, too many mirrors in the room....

Really didn’t like my stay. Room was nice but I usually stay at the beau rivage and the difference in staff friendliness was incredible! Definitely would not stay there again as being treated rudely is not my idea of a 5 star experience!

So beautiful. Rooms thoughtfully furnished, linens lovely, and everything was so clean! Lovely gardens, which unfortunately, I did not have time to visit. Centrally locted between lake and city center. Went to lake, but city center is closed up tight on Sundays! Went to rooftop restaurant for drink and snacks, with a beautiful view. Expensive hotel, but worth every penny!

The property was top notch and very clean. Not crowded. The staff is superb and the management and GM were very good. Would definitely stay again in our next visit. An amazing property.

The hotel is excellent for a few days' escape. After a trip on the lake and on the streets like San Francisco, a relaxing evening at the Spa is all you can dream about. The richness of the morning breakfast gives you the strength for another unforgettable experience in the beautiful city.

It is a fantastic hotel to stay at, in a great location. It would be great to have the water in the pool to be a bit warmer so it’s easier to swim in the beautiful indoor/outdoor pool.

The staff was exceptional in every way. When we booked we did not know the 7th floor bar closes for the winter season. This was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel

they did ask for a coupon which we were never sent from Expedia. They ended up saying it was okay not to have it.

We had a great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was lovely and quite spacious and the experience was fantastic

Favorite hotel in Lausanne

Lovely as useful (have stayed here a lot). Highlight: the spa; low(ish) light: the bar menu could have more choice

Modernity in tradition. Cleanness and access to public transportation. Nice and helping staff. Except the last day of our stay, the Concierge was not helping but talking to one another for extensive time. Other than that everything was good

I have stayed in many very nice places all over the world. This is a fantastic hotel. I opted for a room in the new section and it was amazing. The design and decor were perfect (the swiss get it right again!). It overlooked a 100 year old tree and the spa is wonderful. Right next to the metro so it was easy to get anywhere. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel and spa. Had a lovely time here on our anniversary. Our room was amazing with balcony and views over the lake. This hotel is very special and clearly newly renovated. The restaurant is expensive but for the quality of food, really worth it. Would go again.
