Loving it
Close to transport links
Great access to everything.
Solid, comfortable stay.
3rd time here in 15 months. Room clean and tidy, comfortable bed, low-key but good service from staff. Did not use Hotel restaurants.
Lovely hotel
The hotel was fantastic, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was lovely to receive an upgrade upon arrival to a river view room, which was stunning. The bridge from level three to the New Town Plaza shopping centre was extremely convenient.
Newly renovated, and very convenient. Housekeeping staff was friendly. Front desk was so-so.
Staff was impeccable. The place was clean and comfortable. Great hotel to stay in Hong Kong.
Like everything
I requested cancellation of my reservation because if SUPER TYPHOON SAOLO. I called hotel, they referred me to Expedia. Expedia contacted hotel. No cancelation. No refund. No service.
I have stayed here many times. We have always had a positive experience and the new remodel is terrific. It is actually in a very convenient place on the MTR to travel throughout Hong Kong. I don’t even consider another hotel. Love that it’s attached to the mall and all of the eateries associated with that.
dusty bedlining
Staffs were nice and helpful. The hotel is getting little old. There was Typhoon 3 during my stay and the water came in.
getting old
hotel is a bit old
Good but Expensive for the price
Good hotel however pricey for the room amenities. I guess demanding more price because of location
Near MRT, very convenient
Overall good as staff are friendly & helpful. Can access many places of interest as train station is near to the hotel.
Good option for business or family trip.
Very nice hotel. Spacious, clean, good pool and sauna room. Very close to the train. It takes less than 30 min to go to Tsim Sha Tsui. Many food options close to the hotel. Good option for business or family travel.
Happy holidays
I have been staying at RPlaza for quite a while now as it is convenient for shopping and meeting with friends. Christmas at carousel restaurant is a must every year.
Convenient hotel
Room is clean and convenient. Hotel staff is friendly. Room size is acceptable.
Value for money to stay here...
Booked 2 rooms for 4 night stay here and were highly impressed with the excellent service provided by the hotel staff. The rooms were spacious and clean. Location was great though it might be a bit time consuming to change a few time for the MTR rides to town areas and shopping areas.
Execellent trip
This is the first time I write a review. The seven days stay in the Royal Park Hotel Hong Kong was part of our travel package. My wife and I were totally satisfied with our stay in this hotel. Location was excellent, close to everything - train, buses, restaurants, and shops. The room was in good size, quiet, and plenty of closet storage for our clothes. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Royal Park in HK
Great Hotel, Staff extremely helpful, close to shopping mall and lots of places to eat. Nearby to open flower shops
hotel is great value but i will not visit hong kong anymore.
this hotel is good value. room is large. i got a free upgrade to double twin room. the swimming is great too indoor and outdoor. i saw a kia su sh from singapore compare this hotel with w hotel and other 6 star hotel but try to compare the price first. if you want cheap meal, you walk to lucky paza next to snoopy world. i will not visit this country again, it is reallly pack with china tourist. somemore the hong kong citizen is rude, they dont welcome us. they dont not offer seat to a pregnant lady and younger child in mtr train, never give help to a blind people. what a cold animal. i can say majority of them is cold and rude.when you ask for the location just becareful.most of them dont like it.
Just an ordinary hotel
Average staff service, However, rooms are clean and tidy. Location is not too far away from public transport.
Value For Money Hotel
This is my second time to stay at Royal Park Shatin. The service was excellent and the newly renovated room that I stayed in was really nice. You get maximum value for your money. I will definitely stay in this hotel next time I go to hongkong.
Hotel is convenient as it is connected to the Shatin MTR and big shopping mall with quite a number of restaurants and branded shops. Hotel staff are very polite and room is comfortable. Hotel also provides free shuttle bus service to and fro Tsim Sha Tsui.
Top choice for Kowloon
Totally wonderful experience. Lovely place, great food and incredible service
Surrounded by malls
Overall a good experience. Hotel surrounded by New Plaza Mall and other shopping centres. Few stops from Mongkok.
Good hotel but too far from centre
We stayed 5 nights here and enjoyed the surrounding residential neighbourhood, but the location was too far from the city centre to be included in hotel pickups for various tours. So we had to take the MTR on our own several times, which was relatively easy, although it would've been more convenient to be picked up and dropped off by the tours. The hotel's free shuttle to the downtown core is ok if you're not time pressured.G
Great hotel in Hong Kong
Hotel room is clean and very comfortable. The staff was courteous and very pleasant. I will stay at this hotel again.
Overrated Hotel.
Had problem with Internet connection and the guy sent to fix seems to know nothing about troubleshooting it...didn't even know how to pull out the cable from the laptop.
Excellent stay except for inconsiderate guests
The only down side was that we were not told at check-in about the shuttle bus and also the inconsiderate hotel guests. We had someone trying to get into our room [ obviously could not read their key card ], children running around and banging doors and shouting after 11pm one night and one other night, people came back at 1.30am talking very loudly and bangging doors. Hotel staff and everything else about the hotel was excellent! It is a long way from the main action of Hong Kong but easy to use MTR or [ as we found out later...the hotel shuttle bus].
Highly recommended
From the minute we arrived at this Hotel the service we received was exemplary. The personal attention given by everyone from arriving at the front door to leaving could not be faulted. Everyone was friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room and facilities were outstanding. The location was fabulous, adjoining a large shopping complex which was also linked to the MTR station. The rail services were also great and every easy to negotiate.
Very convenient location, if a little pricey.
Hotel is situated in a very convenient location, being next to a major shopping complex and train station. Additionally, the bus stop for the airport bus service is just meters away from the lobby. Room rates aren't cheap and don't include wi-fi/ internet, which is an extra. I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of my room, let's just say the carpets could have used a quick vacuum.
I have stayed in the Royal Park many times, I found it to be very convenient for my needs, visiting relatives, shopping and eating..The room is spacious and clean. I had an upgrade to the 16th floor which gave me a lovely view of the river and Sha tin, I will definitely stay there again.
employees
the staff were very nice and accomodating, the rooms were clean and we also enjoyed the swimming pool which is king of unique since it is partly inside and outside.
Facilities: Modern, Above average; Value: Affordable; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
Royal treatment
This hotel was not up to the standard of that we came from in Guangzhou but we were delighted by our brief stay at the Royal Park. The staff were efficient and accommodating, the shuttle into town punctual and hugely helpful and the location of the hotel next to a massive mall was truly inspirational (our hotel in China was beautiful but it was isolated and away from the action). I would return again.
internet provider
So far everything is good , except the WIFI internet services . Have to pay everyday and WIFI connection is poor .
Great hotel
A wonderful place to stay, well maintained and extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Note that the hotel is not in the main downtown area of Hong Kong, however, they have a free shuttle bus that runs every hour or so and will get you to the Kowloon area in 30 minutes. From there you can walk to the ferry and get to Hong Kong Central. Overall, I had a very nice stay at a very reasonable price, and will certainly stay here again if I am here on business.
A quiet get away from the crowd
This is a good hotel if you do not mind taking the Metro to all the tourist attractions. It is conveniently located next to several malls as well as the MTR station. Getting around HK with the subway system is efficient using the Octopus card and the subway map is easy to use. I would not eat breakfast at the dinning room unless it is included in your rate. It can get pricey.
Royal Park Hotel a perfect choice
Close to ground transportation, excellent shopping area
Great place, just kind of far
I'd recommend this hotel. Overall a very nice place, especially for the price. The major downside is that it's a 20-30 minute commute to Victoria Harbor, which is where most of the attractions are. Fortunately, the commute is a pleasant enough MTR ride, and the MTR is connected to the hotel by a 5-10 minute walk through a modern mall.
Short Stay in H.K.
This was our second time staying at this hotel. We got upgraded this time & had a bigger room on the 7th floor. It's conveniently located in Shatin, N.T. There's only one stop for the shuttle bus in Tsim Sha Tsui. Bus runs hourly exactly lunch/dinner time. I think it's good value since we got free upgrade.
Too bad the facility n the staff is impolite
Nothing to play in hotel n the staff is impolite
Convenient and not Central
The hotel was excellent, only problem was the guests who were a little noisy at times. It was easy to get to and from the hotel, both to the airport and to other parts of Hong Kong, so it made a good base. I would go again.
Enjoyable stay
It is a convenient location for public transportation, shopping and dinning. There is bus service from airport to the front door of the hotel. The room is well spaced and comfortable. Shatin is a nice and safe district. I stayed in this hotel twice. Both the river view and mountain view are pleasing. The staffs are courteous and accommodating. I arrived Hong Kong early. I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel at 7am and check in at 10:30am. I was very pleased with this stay.
Very convenient location and good service.
Royal Park Hotel at Sha Tin center
excellent location and service at the hotel.
Nice clean room
Rooms are clean. Convenient location near mall & mrt. Will definitely stay here again.
I am very happy to have found this hotel which is not big but very good and comfortable. It is located at the center of the older part of the city of Taipei and lots of memory or me and my wife. The area is in a friendly and with older families I learned. There are many inexpensive restaurants and shops near by. The local food market we went in the old days is still there near the hotel.
You definitely my Number 1
It has been a wonderful experience for my whole family. Royal Park Shatin is definitely 3 levels higher than the 4-5 star rating hotels in Tsim Sha Shui or Causeway Bay. My reasons: 1. Quality service Your ground staff were sincere in helping the hotel guests. When we arrived at HK airport, it was around 6 am. We reached Royal Park at around 8am. I was rather worried bcoz I know that check in time was only at 2pm. But to my pleasant surprise, yr hotel officer at the counter assured us that room will be ready by around 10.30am and while waiting, she led us to yr health centre at level 2 for us to take a shower and freshen up. Not only that, yr conceirge, Mr Hassan was also very helpful, sincere and most courteous. He cheered up my daughters and was always willing to lend a helping hand. I truly appreciate their kind gestures. 2. Room was simply spacious and clean I have been to HK a few times for conferences. Each time they got me a hotel in Kowloon, my heart sank. The rooms are usually small and compact. And the hotel tries to make it up by putting the latest designer style chair, furniture etc which obviously do not make it any better. Its so fake. At Park Royal, I am most impressed by the amount of space I have in the room for me to sit around and read story books with my daughters after a long day out at disneyland. Yrrooms are not cluttered wt things. There is no need for those stylish chairs to impress yr guests. We appreciate space and a nice simple sofa. 3. Fantastic location Transport can be quite expensive to some. It is so convenient for Royal Park Hotel because service E41 takes you straight from the airport to the hotel's doorstep. And that was what I did with my family that morning. My wife was so impressed. My girls enjoyed the bus ride, looking at the scenic mountains and the beautiful sea surrounding the HK islands.Besides that, yr New Town Plaza is AMAZING!!!! There is nothing in Kowloon that you can't get at New Town Plaza. In fact, you can get more. The Snoopy Land was simply fantastic. The Zara boutiques and Muji Sales was simply awesome. Next, yr bus terminal and MTR station can takes us to as far as Ocean Park, The Peak and even to Stanley Market. I am very impressed, to say the least. Having been to HK many times and stayed at the various hotels, like Disney land hotels and Regal Kwloon, I am very proud to say that Royal park Shatin is the best. Thank you very much for giving us a wonderful experience. Merry Christmas to all yr staff.
Absolutely fantastic
Comfortable, cinvinent, clean and great service!
Very nice room
The room was great. Very nice. Service was good. It's close to the MTR station, which is nice. A little far from the Kowloon madness, which depending on what you are looking for is either good or bad. It was kind of pricey, but the quality was great, and because it's outside of the main part of hong kong, your money goes a lot farther. They also had a hotel shuttle, which was convenient.
Would go again
Although some distance from downtown HK there is a free shuttle bus. Shuttle to Airport only $HK140. Handy to Mall and MTR which gets to HK in 15 mins. Free internet facilities. Perhaps could have done with more than two free internet terminals for people without lap tops or ipad etc., which were in rooms.
Royal Park Hotel
This hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. It was about a 25 min taxi ride to the airport at 6 am. The only thing I did not like was the mattress was rock hard. Other than that, it was very easy indoor access to the mall and restaurants, and a great place to stay awaiting my flight the next morning.
Excellent Hotel for the price
The hotel was a good choice for the discriminative traveler. A bit far from downtown Hong Kong but contiguous to a large shopping mall. The service was excellent and there are ample amenities available at the hotel or Mall. I would choose the "2 by 2 Cafe, on the second floor (or third) for the breakfast buffet..I would also avoid the German/Swiss dinner buffet next to the lobby, it was terrible. Overall this is an excellent hotel for the price and I would highly recommend it...
Very comfortable, great service, will certainly be back.
Stayed here for two nights on business. The room / suite was lovely and for a fantastic price. Didn't have time to try out the pool but it looked great when I did a recce. The American-themed bar seemed popular with western visitors, and I get the impression that it is a home from home for some. Very firendly and helpful staff. I was visiting companies in Chang'an town, so the location was good but not perfect - I could have booked somewhere closer but went for this one based upon the reviews. Glad I did, and I will certianly be back.
Solid four star hotel in residential area of Hong Kong (Sha Tin)
The Royal Park Hotel is a business oriented hotel that is also very suitable for tourists. It is located in a residential suburb of Hong Kong, some 15-20 minutes from the central area by MTR. Public transport is excellent in Hong Kong so the location is not an issue, with direct links to all areas and attractions being readily available. Service at the hotel was exceptional, and staff were helpful, right down to providing me with a late checkout at no additional cost. I also arrived at the hotel mid-morning, check in was speedy and I and was allocated a room immediately. There are restaurant options on the premises that provide an excellent choice of food types, however they are pricey by Hong Kong standards. However the hotel is connected to a huge shopping mall that offers a variety of options in terms of restaurants and cafes, right down to the western branded ones. The breakfast buffet is pricey by local standards, however if you are after a convenient option that is similar to that provided in hotel restaurants worldwide, it presents as an excellent choice (offers a variety of food options). Shopping options in the adjoining complex are endless. However as indicated previously, access to Hong Kong central is also easy...15-20 minutes by MTR. One hint for travellers to Hong Kong.... Purchase an Octopus Card and load it up. This card can be used on all public transport and for payment when shopping in many stores.
great for New Territories
We stayed in Royal Park as it is convenient for visiting family in New Territories. The hotel is well maintained, clean and functional. We realised our room was smallest after visiting our parents' room and then looking at the floor plan. Otherwise the accomodation was fine, except for a minor problem with the curtain which we decided was not worth worrying about. The hotel is connected directly into the shopping malls of Shatin.
Royal Park Hotel HK Shatin - very convenient
Booked through Hotel.com with very good rates. Stayed in the hotel with my son from 5-10 Sept 2011. Although the Hotel is in Shatin, it is very convenient to/from the airport by bus (A41 takes about 45 mins to/from the airport and stops outside the hotel) and to Kowloon central by MTR, the station of which is in the same huge shopping complex as the hotel. The hotel is in very good condition and the staff is very helpful/friendly and we were upgraded to an Executive Room on arrival which was an unexpected & pleasant surprise. There is a very nice swimming pool & gym on the second floor. Use of the swimming pool is free for guests and there is a charge for the use of the gym (unless otherwise included in the package). The only disappointment is that there is no free broadband compared with most hotels in Taiwan where we stayed earlier. Will stay in Royal Park Hotel again when we are in HK next time.
The hotel is just beside a shopping center
Convenient for shopping. close to MRT, thus easy to transport to downtown area. But if you are traveler with strong purpose for shopping, i highly recommend to stay in Kowloon or Causeway Bay area. Transportation waste precious time.
Good location if you just want to shop.
The rooms were newly renovated, very clean and modern. Adding a bed is free, which is great. Linked to the major shopping center in Shatin, very convenient. Services are great, and staff speak good English. But internet is not free, and a local call costs $5. Not too happy about that.
Lovely quality hotel in Sha Tin
Lovely hotel at a price lower than this for this in Kowloon. Easy to get to from the airport on the A41 bus thats stops right outside hotel and operates every 20 minutes.- took about 45 minutes each way. Helped that as i needed an extra bed they provided an upgrade to a suite. Buffet food in 2+2 restuarant was very good. only thing was very worn or water damaged carpet there. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again/
Reliable hotel with high standards
This is the second time I've stayed, the Sha Tin location being convenient for my work visits. The MTR railway station is ten minutes walk away through the attached extensive air conditioned shopping mall, and so access to other parts is easy; to Hong Kong island for instance it's fairly simple (two changes) and takes less than half an hour. The hotel amply meets all reasonable requirements for international travel. Minor quibbles: it would have been comfortable to have a couple of armchairs in my ('entry level') room, rather than the somewhat spartan 'chaise longue'; charging for internet access misses a chance to cultivate customer good will (though I think charging is standard in Hong Kong); and eating in the hotel, especially for breakfast, is best avoided in favour of the opportunities in the mall unless someone else is picking up the bill.
Good hotel, connected hopping mall and MTR station
The hotel is modern and nice, service is excellent The location is good if you want to go to mainland via Lo Wu (MTR) The building is connected to a large shopping mall and the Sha Tin MTR station
Worth every cent
Everything about this hotel is perfect except that it is out of town. With easy excess to trains makes it worth the extra travel time required to get to the city attractions. Rooms are very large, clean and modern with great views and a swimming pool. My criteria for a good hotel has always been, would I go back? and with this hotel that would be a big YES! A special thank you to the cleaning lady who informed management when my wife was sick, they came to offer assistance, perfect customer relations.
wifi expensive
wifi is most important nowadays and many hotels offer free wifi. This hotel does not provide free wifi and the charges are quite expensive.
Royal Park Hotel in Sha Tin, HK
The staff was very helpful. Excellent services all around.. Rooms are very well designed and comfortable.
A wonderful hotel surrounded with
A wonderful hotel surrounded with great shopping. It will be good if breakfast is included.
Great Hotel at Good Price Near Subway
Great hotel at a cheaper price than you will pay on the Island or Kowloon. Very nice room that is bigger than most in Hong Kong. Next to big mall with lots of shopping and restaurants. Short walk through walkway and mall to subway which is primarily how we traveled to Kowloon, Disney, etc. I picked this hotel because of its price and proximity to the subway and was extremely satisfied.
Royal Park Hotel in Shatin, HK
Overall this hotel was great. Nice details and clean. For me the bathroom was impeccably clean which is the most important. The room was great. The only reason I gave cleanliness a 4 was there was a couch in the room that could use sone shampooing/deodorizing. Staff in the hotel was great. Staff in the bar pointed us to the wrong place to get good Peking duck in the area. Not a biggie, but would be nice if they knew. I would stay here again though.
impressive
cant find any fault with the hotel or staffs. check in late, phone them and they were extremely helpful. on arriving check in was very good, had a free upgrade even thought i was very very late.check out was quick without any fuss.
Great if you don't mind being away from HK island and other hot spots.
I used to live in HK and have stayed in a couple of other hotels in Kowloon before, but I wanted to try something different. Chose this hotel because I wanted to try staying away from the crowds of MongKok and HK island. Was a nice change and even though it's a bit father from all the main hot spots, it is still convenient to get to places because the hotel is connected to the MTR station, bus depot, and big shopping mall. Good price and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Just one bus ride to/from airport. Only negative thing to say is the internet is expensive and there was a very large and strange stain on the carpet but everything else was clean and good!
The Royal Park Hotel -with efficient services
My wife and I stayed at the Royal Park in Mar 2011 after googling the reviews of few hotels in Hong Kong before flying there and end up picking Royal Park because of the good ratings by past users. It was a very relaxing experience. This is second time we stayed in Royal Park. We stayed at this same hotel for 3 weeks before this. The hotel is located near a transportation hub and to shopping malls and eateries. Airport bus stops near front of hotel so we can step off the coach bus with our luggages and vice versa to the airport when we left. The 300+ sq ft room is clean and bed linens changed daily. WIFI Internet was free although not the fastest 802.11n but good for emails and google searches. The staff is amazingly efficient and courteous, whether it's the Concierge, the room service staff, the bell boy or the free shuttle (to town centre shopping area) driver,.etc. The only concern for us is too much chlorine in the pool. We will definitely go back to Royal Park when we visit Hong Kong next time. Philip.
Royal Park Hotel
Oustanding Value, Staff, Accommodations, Service, and Location! If I could rate this hotel higher, such as a "perfect 10" I would! The Royal Park Hotel is an outstanding location on the quieter side of Hong Kong adjacent to a beautiful and relaxing park. Adding to the convenience is the fact a large mall is attached with a bus terminal hub therein. I arrived here on a cruise ship following 24 days of travel to large cities and I wanted a quiet place to dwell away from the intensity of the big city - though one can have those experiences from this location as well via a bus ride or train in short order. The staff at check in were generous to upgrade me to a deluxe room overlooking the park and river. My experience over the 3 night stay was consistently excellent in both staff at ones beckon call and the conveniences offered: free shuttle for local tourist areas, directions on paper to popular locatinos - ie bus numbers, currency exchange at the front desk, and stamps for postcard mailing at the concierges desk. Also I enjoyed a reunion with friends at the hotel restaurant. The people were always 100% helpful in every way. Thanks to their assistance, I was able to make my way by bus to the Ocean Park to see the four pandas there. Again, I enjoyed the park and river overview - seeing people active in Tai Chi in the mornings and enjoying the park myself. Again - a DOUBLE five star rating! Perfect 10! One more note: The staff is so helpful here that someone thought to go the extra mile in yet another way: at the front desk a visitor can ask for a business card with a map of the hotel on the back. In the local language as well as English, it essentially directed a local to assist in helping the visitor find their way back to the hotel. I used this while in the mall as it was quite the maze! Tip: Be sure to print out the exact address and even a map of the hotel if possible prior to taking a taxi as there is a simliar named hotel in the area called the Park Hotel. Make sure the taxi driver knows you want to go to the ROYAL Park Hotel! ;o) Enjoy!
Very nice hotel with great facilities.
Very nice hotel with great facilities. Getting to and from the hotel to the shopping and transport complex across the road is a challenge. But ok once you've worked it out. Hotel is in Sha Tin in the New Territories which requires a bit of effort to get to Hong Kong City or Kowloon. But it can be fun working out how the metro works. Takes about 20 minutes to get to Kowloon. If you want to be in the heart of HK this is not the hotel for you. But if you want to be a little out of the action this is a great hotel.
Very convenient for Shatin
Comfortable Modern suburban hotel
This is a comfortable, moderately luxurious, very clean and well managed hotel. It may be mildly inconveniently situated for some tourists and businessman in the new satellite town of Shatin, a bit remote from central kowloon, but if one makes the minmal effort to master the very good subway system (there is indoor access from the hotel to the station, and directions are clear for non Chinese), it easy to get into central Kowloon and a bit of a relief to get away to the new town which has more space and a quieter pace. There is a pleasant traditional Chinese garden next to a ri er right across the street. The choice of restaurants in the hotel is good to very good, western, Japanese and Chinese, and so one can be a comfortable lazy traveler if one wants. Free wifi was not yet quite reliable in the rooms (which have good desks for work), so one has to buy cable ethernet time.
What you would expect from good hotel
Everything was good. Exept the location.
Great Hotel connected to Sha Tin MTR station!
This hotel was a pleasant experience. I have stayed here twice and have to say that this hotel was a pleasant experience. I stayed in the upper level #40the top floor of the hotel#41 which was nice for the separate lounge area that served breakfast in the morning and drinks and hor doeuvres at night. Staying on the Upper Floor also allows you to have free wireless internet meeting room if on business and a buffet breakfast in the morning in the 2 2 Cafe for trips of 7 days or more. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Your room will most likely have spectacular views of the river and beautiful Sha Tin park. There are several great yet expensive restaurants in Royal Park including a cake shop but if this is not enough New Town Plaza mall is attached to the hotel which features 7 floors of shopping dining and even grocery adventure. The Sha Tin MTR station is also connected which makes getting anywhere you need to go very easy as it is only about a 30 minute commute to Central and only about * - * to TST. I do not know what the regular rooms are like but I do know that it is a small price difference and quite a bit of extras to book the Upper level instead. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Hong Kong for its convenience and the low price to enjoy a 4 to 5 star experience.
very impressed
The hotel was very well appointed nothing was too much trouble and every member of the staff fell over backwrds to assist with anything that was asked. The bedroom was in a first class condition and was extremely comfortable in every aspect. The dining and breakfast facilities were excellent with good menu choices. The position of the hotel was very near the main MTR railway station and taxis were in abundance. So for getting to Kowloon or Hong Kong Island or the airport was no trouble.
Excellent hotel
Big, clean, modern room with good, but not great, furniture (but the sheets, pillows and comforter are exceptional) and a very nice bathroom. Very nice feel to the place. Although a little out of the way, the area is part of the charm. A very good park right in back along with a river where you could walk along either bank. The fact that it's attached to a huge mall is the epitome of convenience. And the MTR, which I quickly grew to love (so very clean, logical and efficient) is attached to the mall. Staff was professional. Took a bus to and from the airport - couldn't have been easier. Recommend getting your bearings in the mall on the first day as it will save you some time (it's huge). Will always have very fond memories of the hotel and of Hong Kong.
I like the hotel. The room is big and clean. The airport bus (A41?) stops in front of the hotel. The hotel is better than some of the 5 stars hotels in China. The only problem I had was the shower head was not functioning correctly. The connection between the hose and the head was twisted. They should fix this.
Royal Park Hotel Hong Kong - A great place to stay
We arrived at the hotel very late at night but everything was arranged & ready for us. The service was superb as were the breakfasts - where a huge selection of both Eastern & Western dishes were on offer. Facilities were also great with a decent sized pool rather than the normal "large bath" encountered at some UK hotels. Well worth a visit.
Royal Park Hotel, Sha Tin, Hong Kong
Excellent modern hotel. Location is not that handy, but public transportation is within walking distance. I was told that my room rate did not allow access to the nice fitness club which was a big disappointment. Access to the swimming pool was allowed. Direct connection to a large mall with restaurants, supermarkets and any store you would need. Hong Kong Heritage Museum and Ten Thousend Buddha Temple are both within walking distance and both very nice to visit.
Comfortable and convenient
I stayed 3 nights for a solo vacation to Hong Kong. My room was very comfortable, with a big bed, and an extra lounge chair and desk. Nice view of the park. It was a pretty convenient base for touring HK- you walk right through an adjacent mall to get to the subway and can get to most sights through that. The staff was very polite and answered a couple of emails I sent promptly. Room service (for lunch and dinner) was reasonably priced. I don't recommend the restaurants- they are pricy and a little weird- they all have a lot of entrances and you never know who should be waiting on you.
Room over kitchen
We could smell breakfast being cooked in the morning. This is with all windows closed and air conditioning on.
Royal Park Hotel in Hong Kong
Very nice hotel and very convenient to the subway station. The staff were all very helpful.
Excellent value... friendly, cooperative staff... though away from Hong Kong and Kowloon, these places easily accessible by Hotel Shuttle and MTR... Convenient shops ( soo many!) and eating - which provided a series of insights into the Hong Kong youth... delightful parks along river by hotel... Heritage Museum minutes away. Go out early to see Tai Chi...
Very nice place but far from Nathan Road
Hotel Comfort: Superb Location: Too far from Nathan Road, Tung Chung and Disneyland. Receptionists: They were accommodating although people at the Concierge were not familiar with the places where we can find branded shops. Hotel Ambiance: I really liked the place since they had clean sheets, quiet environment, good view, nice and cozy rooms but very affordable price. Hotel was near Newtown Mall and MTR. It was far from Nathan Road though where a lot of shops are located, Tung Chung for Citigate Mall and Disneyland. If you are taking a cab going to Harbor Place where branded shops are located, make sure to prepare about HK$100 for a one-way fare. Might as well wait for the shuttle services :) to save up money.
Nice, conveniently placed at metro station
Pickup from airport is convenient with the hotel's shuttle. Upon arrival, I got upgraded to a better room on a higher floor, a nice surprise (not something to count on, but a nice start), so I might be positively biased in my review. The room is nicely furnished, comfortable, the bathroom is also very nice and clean, overall a hotel I'd stay anytime. Very conveniently located besides a shopping mall and the Sha Tin metro station, you can get anywhere with ease. Not the closest location to HK island, it'll take you 15-20 minutes of metro to get there. On the other hand, it's very convenient if you travel to Shenzhen, the metro line is the right one to get to directly the border (taxi cannot, you have to take that metro anyway!). The personnel is nice, the building is modern, no noise. I did not use the bar, restaurant etc. so not much to say, apart that it seemed all nice and modern, I would recommend a stay in this hotel to anyone.
I love the location of this hotel and the ease of transport from the airport
A fantastic choice of accommodation in a bustling city like Hong Kong.
I have stayed with Royal Park
I have stayed with Royal Park many times and will continue to stay.
Royal Park Shatin
A super hotel, situated in Shatin and attached to a super shopping mall and the MTR, perfect for getting around HK. The room was a good size with modern facilities, including a safe, fridge, a large flat screen tv and plenty of toiletries. The pool is superb on the third floor with a steam room and sauna and a large gym. The view over looking Shatin park is beautiful. The hotel is also a 10 min walk away from the famous historical museum, well worth a visit for the princely sum of $10 (90p).
Great hotel and as we had business
Great hotel and as we had business appointments in the area it suited us well. A courtesey bus takes you down town so no problem there! Some extra hooks, shelves and towel racks in the bathroom would be very helpful! All in all a lovely place to stay!
Reasonable price, very good for this hotel. Very nice area; quiet, clean, facing the water, next to a shopping center, yet not far from Kowloon or the airport by taxi. If you want to be in the middle of the action, this is not your hotel. I stayed one night while on my way from Shenzhen to San Francisco. My room was upgraded free to one facing the water. I walked through the park in the morning along the water. I went to the shopping center in the evening. The air was fine (considering where I was). It was a great change after 2 weeks in China..
Park Hotel
Great place to stay in Hong Kong... good location and easy access to trains, walking, shopping, food.. etc.. etc..
Good service but no breakfast
The Price of hotel is not included breakfast. This is the big problem for business trip condition, Please add breakfast in hotel price.
