Our first trip to Italy. We were so pleased with the transfer from the airport to the hotel. The driver was friendly and professional. The hotel clerk was very inviting. Our room was upgraded and was very spacious with a lovely balcony. Elevator is extremely small compared to hotel elevators in Canada, however, I have come to learn that is the way things are in Europe. The hotel was very clean and SO close to the train station. Cute coffee shop on the corner for morning breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Had arrived before check in time and the staff was accommodating in getting me into a room in a very short amount of time. They also assisted in moving our luggage to our room which was very helpful and kind. Super convenient location, as the rail system was close by.
The room is very small and impossible to hang even the towels , this hotel is not a four star hotel is a 2 star they have no tea or coffee in the rooms and very uncomfortable for two people. I was for four days and the cleaning was very poor.
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel! The staff was really accommodating, allowing us an early check-in and even providing a crib for our room. The hotel itself is lovely, though the Standard Quadruple Room felt a bit snug for our family of five. The area around the hotel is fairly quiet, with fewer shops, but the best part is that it's only a 5-minute walk to Roma Termini. From there, you'll find plenty of cafes and stores. Plus, on the other side of the station entrance, there’s a lively area with more dining and shopping options. All in all, it was a positive experience, and we really appreciated Sarah at the front desk—she was always so friendly and welcoming!
I was traveling with family with kids and wanted a safe convenient and nice place to stay … this hotel checked all boxes. Front desk is super helpful in getting you anything you can ask for. Alex , John , Alexandria ar front desk were just amazing. I took the airport shuttle from the hotel itself and it was A class service. People working in hotel are very polite and very helpful. I would highly recommend anyone looking for safe convenient , clean , friendly place to stay in Rome . Train station is 2-3 mins walk l. We took trains to Florence and Venice and they were early morning trains but closeness to Roma termini made everything so simple ! 5 star place for me to stay . I will stay here every time I come to Rome.
Not the same experience as before
Been to this hotel already several times. However this time I am disappointed! The internal phone did not work, the internet did not work for two consecutive days and the maintenance on shower was not ok.
The neighborhood had a lot of graffiti. I had wishes that I statedcloser in central area. Service and cleanliness was excellent.
Book a 4 star hotel, got a barely 3 star. The shower was so tiny you couldn’t bend at all.
We booked a 4 star hotel, at our arrival they told us we were going to a different location, the room was so tiny that we could barely fit our suitcases we were 3 people. There was not space to walk. Not even a night table. I won’t recommend!
A few clocks from Roma Termini and walking distance to several interesting places, restaurants, etc.
The best front desk clerk: Alexis. Very helpful and friendly.
This hotel is perfect in location. Room is a good size. Clean, safe, quiet, close to attractions, resturants ect or centrally located. Yes I would stay here again.
Nice hotel with affordable prices, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, you only ask and they will provide immediate help, the housekeeping staff take care of the rooms on daily basis, very cousy place, 5-minutes walk to the Roma Termini, food and non food items shops and restaurants are very close to the hotel. I recommend this hotel.
It was a bit far away from the main shopping area but staff were very helpful and kind . Our room aws in another building in the nest suite but was large and well appointed .
Alexis was great! He gave us all the information we needed to have a great trip. (Tours, how the buses and the metro worked, and restaurant suggestions). Thanks Alexis (Peter Sellers look alike)
A mi esposo y a mí nos gustó mucho, hasta nos quedamos un día más muy amables todos
Rome 2024
Our stay at Royal Court Hotel was very nice. Special commendations to Alexis, who made our check-in seamless and offered so many friendly recommendations and was able to get us a rooms in the newly renovated part of the hotel. Our rooms had A balcony and was on the 4th floor. Rooms were clean and they always promptly provided extra blankets and towels.
The stay at the Royal Court was lovely. We took a chance on the hotel and glad we did as it’s convenient to the train station and there are plenty of good restaurants near by. It’s also walkable, if you want, to all the major attractions in Rome.
My family and I have a very poor experience here. The room was dirty and we kept hearing strange noises. The location was nice because is was around the train so access was nice but I could tell it was not a very safe place. We asked the front desk if we could be moved to a different room since ours was dirty and I was told a manager would have to decide. We ended up staying here for several days and no one ever spoke to us or come up with a resolution to the issue. Very disappointed with this stay.
This hotel was very accessible, clean , friendly staff, convenient to the train station & buses to all the attractions in Rome. Simply great.
Great property
I had the chance to experience the new annex in the 4th floor with balcony. Space wise, the room was smartly designed, convenient, clean, safe
A little noise outside the building but nothing not acceptable
Beautiful hotel in Rome - near Termini
2nd time here and love it! Perfect location if you’re using the train ( termini station literally a 5 minute walk) It’s clean, beautiful and family owned! Definitely will stay here again! They offer a lovely breakfast with tons of variety. A great place to stay! Beautiful terrace too!
Front desk lady was very kind and helpful and provided great recommendations for the area
Very nice facilities and a great room with very efficient AC. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Helpful staff, great room and service
Great
Nice property. Conveniently located near train terminal. Several restaurants in area and a couple grocery stores. Though it is classified in city center, too far to walk to main attractions. However, can hop on train and be there in 1 to 3 stops. Room was small but clean. Good overall value in my opinion
The service alone was A1 all around.
From our arrival to the moment that we left, the staff was welcoming and accomodating. We arrived early, prior to our check in but we were able to store our luggage and as it has great proximity to things to do in the area, we got to spend the day getting to see the city. When we returned to check in, our bags rhat were stored, were already in our room. The room was clean, peaceful, quiet and accomodating and even after we had to check out, we had a visit to the Vatican in between check out and our train ride, and they allowed us to store our bags for those hours in between as well. The lady at the check in was amazing and I truly enjoyed conversing with her. Wish that I would have asked for her name to specify it in this review. Defenitely a plus when traveling to Rome.
Close to everything you want to see - within a mile to a mile and a half from The Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. Clean and updated. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Enjoyed our stay here.
Great staff and service
Had a pleasant stay in the hotel. Very close to the station and Indian restaurants. The hotel provided us with all the basic services. Quite room, dark curtains, clean bathroom, daily housekeeping, and descent breakfast.
The hotel room was recently upgraded. So it had great interiors. Although, the room we got was not in the property which was in the pictures, it was a few buildings away. That seemed deceiving. The couple of floors below was some other hotel and the entrance to the rooms were not great. But once you were in the room it was very very nice, new and modern. Plently of shops below, the train and bus stations so conveniently located. We walked everywhere from the hotel. So the location was ideal.
Great staff, very helpful and friendly. One of the receptionist name Lorenzo, he was very helpful and supportive. Thx
Great breakfast
Very convenient for our purpose
Very nice hotel clean spacious
The room was full of dust and old
Close to Termini station, easy to get around the city or to train. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance. Hard, small pillows, beds also feel a little strange. But nice/helpful people at the reception.
Ac was not working. It was very suffocating. No replacement was offered finally they agree to refund the money. But asked me to check with hotels.com first
Last Minute Booking
We had to book this hotel last minute because of a 24 hour train strike resulting in us having to change our plans. From check in to check out, the service was great. The room was very comfortable.
Excellent service and location
clean, close to train, great breakfast, nice patio, great staff
Complain about receptionist
We stayed at this hotel for two nights on the 20th and 21st of May, 2025. On the morning of the 21st, at around 9:00 am, it was raining heavily in Rome. My wife and I were about to leave for sightseeing when we noticed some umbrellas at the entrance. We were about to borrow one when the receptionist told us we couldn't take them as they were privately owned. Throughout the day, we left and returned to the hotel several times, and the umbrellas were still there. In the evening, I asked a different receptionist about the umbrellas, and he informed us that they belonged to the hotel and were available for guest use. The next morning, I confronted the original receptionist about why she did not let us borrow the umbrellas the previous day when it was raining. She still insisted that they did not belong to the hotel and did not even offer a courtesy apology. Even as we departed, the umbrellas remained in the same position. This lack of communication and basic customer service was very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this hotel due to their unprofessional staff and poor guest service.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Court Hotel. Very clean, exceptionally friendly staff and a great location near fantastic restaurants and convenient proximity to the Rome train terminal. Would definitely stay here again.
I would highly recommend
Hotel or apartment building…never again!
The room was not even part of the main hotel. It was down a block and a half in an apartment building. The bed was rock hard and the bedding was soiled. The phone in the room didn’t work. There was no iron or ironing board. Overall I would not recommend this hotel as you don’t know if your room will even be part of the hotel.
good location. tiny room.
Its a great hotel.
We requested wheelchair access room since we have 2 elderly family member (65 & 80 ). Our initial room was in the main building at the lobby level, but had a bathtub and quite high (fall risk). We really appreciate the hotel staff to re-arrange our room to external building a block away with wheelchair accessible & shower, as requested. It is newly renovated, but dusty floor. Room cleaning needs to include floor vacuum or sweeping. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant.
There is not full privacy in the bathroom during night time people across the street from the upper level can see you
Very nice!
Awesome
Great stay. Close to the train station. Near great restaurants.
Great location
Clean comfortable safe hotel and ideal location for train station, only 10 minutes walk, and about 20 minute walk to the main sights
Excellent
It is near the train station 2 min away, easy to reach, clean, good customer service, nice hotel
Great customer service
It was great , staff was exceptional, very attentive
3mns walk to Termini Roma station, ideal for families. The rooms were very clean and large. We enjoyed our stay and you definitely come back when visiting Rome again
The staff was very helpful and the area convenient. We arrived early and were given immediately a room. It was though in another buikding with no reception. Although a junior suite too small for 3 people. It was nice only one thing. There were 2 separate areas but only one switch light. Either both rooms had light or none
Cons : My room was in a separate building 3 buildings over which was interesting ! It was a building that had 3 other hotels inside like the each had their own floor . The walls are terribly thin to the point I heard someone arguing below me every day I was there . The door slams non stop in the hall way and it shakes the room . Outside is really loud , car alarms , garbage trucks picking up the restaurants nearby garbage (at 4am) it was noisy to the point I don’t think I ever really slept . The bed was like a rock . I had to find muscle relaxers pronto lol Pros: The area felt extremely safe ! I never once felt unsafe walking at night in the area . The termini station is literally one block away!! It was amazing and very convenient. There is a grocery store and plenty of restaurants within a half mile radius. It wasn’t too far from a lot of attractions which was awesome . The hotel staff was so friendly and the woman at the desk (I can’t remember her name :( ) she was so nice and gave me a ton of recommendations in the area she was amazing !! Overall it was a decent hotel for a night or 2.
DOG OWNERS BEWARE
This was supposed to be a 4 star hotel. I travel to Rome usually once a year and I have stayed in many 4 star hotels. The Royal court is at best a 3 star hotel if that. My wife and I picked the Royal Court because this was the first time we brought our dog Diva to Rome. The hotel room was very small no real furniture, no shelving or hooks for your clothes. No coffee maker or any toiletries in the room. The refrigerator was so small that i you put 3 soda size bottles in it it would not close. Moreover, if you shut the lights the refrigerator goes out so it was totally useless. I tried to have them send a car for pickup at the airport but they said they needed my credit card info to be send by email even though i was going to pay cash for the car. I prepaid for 14 day stay and they told me they needed it in case i don't show! Before i arrived i asked them for early check-in and told them i would pay extra for early check in - they could not accommodate us. The heat worked only once in a while and we had to get an electric heater to warm the room. If i did not bring my dog Diva i would have stayed 1 night and switched to another hotel. Like many other hotels that offer some dog amenities such as wee wee pads or a bowl for water, this hotel provides NOTHING for both the guest and their dog Regardless of the reviews that are positive nd the pictures which look much better than the real thing I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Just a few minutes walk from the train station, however it is on the other side of where all the historical sites are. Property overall was clean and everyone was friendly. Bathroom was the highlight of the room, well lit and spacious.
Front desk staff was very accommodating
shower was nice and hot, room was more spacious then other places we stayed in, i wish the sheets were newer/different they weren't new so it was pilling and feeling itchy. aside from that the room was good. close to termini train station, good food options near, room has a blow dryer, fridge & kettle, & a small balcony view of the main street the hotel is located
Superb location if you are in Rome for a short visit. Tasteful decorations and quiet in spite of being close to the train station.
Meh
Rooms were small but bathroom was big enough, but breakfast area is small and had to wait to eat or go at a specific time slot, which is great for vacation
Loved that it was in some ways more private staying at the second location and it was much closer to the terminal. A big plus is the ac it’s small but powerful. It was a home away from home hotel.
Great hotel in a central location
Great hotel which is within minutes of the main train station which was super handy! The room itself was small but all that was really needed simply to sleep. Beautiful courtyard on the property!
Excellent service
alles perfect in orde, zeer goed werkende airco
Had to be placed in another building
Location was close to station, good restaurant, super friendly staff, whatever we needed they provided the in a minute. we changed our room on second day and staff moved our suitcase and they organized our room due we had a tour on early morning and we did not able to switch our room. We will come back to this hotel again and again.
The actual hotel building was nice but my family and I were sent to another building that it was not. The check in staff didn't say anything about the being careful taking public transportation and we got robbed the first nigh. Very disappointed, they should let people know as soon as you check in that the crime is that bad. Also, the fridge was not working and a lot of dust was coming from the AC vent.
We just had a wonderful stay with Hotel Royal Court. They arranged a private transfer from the airport for our family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) when we arrived. Check in was quick & the staff was so kind. The gentleman provided us with a map & directions on how to get around the city to see all of the major attractions using the metro. He also recommended 2 local restaurants right around the corner which we ate at every evening. Breakfast was the highlight of our stay. Different selections of fruit, meats, cheeses & pastries along with scrambled eggs & bacon every morning. The room was the perfect size & we were very thankful for the AC after being out in the heat all day. We would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be near the train station, good breakfast & AC.
This was our first time traveling to Europe. The hotel was great if you are looking to have the metro train station near. Everything was within walkable distance. The breakfast was included which saved us a lot of money. The AC and cleaning staff were great. I wish I would have gotten a bigger room since it was a bit cramped. I didn’t know but I would definitely stay here next time. The front desk staff are very nice and friendly they speak English and Spanish. Be expected to pay when you arrive and leave it is part of their taxes.
I would definitely recommend to stay in the main building. We stayed in the building down the street which was not as nice, cute, clean or convenient for service at the front desk/concierge. Our air conditioning went out on the second night and they moved us to the main building on the third night, and I wish we would’ve been there the entire time, very cute, clean and convenient.
This was a quaint, reasonably priced hotel. We had two rooms to fit my family of six. The room allowed for a few configurations to give everyone their space. The rooms were clean and felt spacious. one of our rooms included a terrace/patio which was a nice addition. A continental breakfast was included in the morning and offered quite a few options. The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk from the Termini station. It is also an easy walk to some of the sites like Trevi fountain. There are a number of eateries close by which was nice for our first day after flying in from the states. We felt safe in the area as well. The only drawback was the room close to the road was noisy compared to the room in the back of the hotel. We only spent one night here as we were in Rome to embark on a cruise. We wished we had booked it for our return stay as the airBnB we rented was a huge disappointment.
Nice stay. Our room Was a good size and very clean. Staff was super attentive, friendly And helpful.
Great location, a very clean hotel, and lots of dining options. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel in Rome.
Very convenient. Easy walking distance to Roma Termini.
Roman holiday
This hotel was just a quick 5 minute walk from central train station and metro. My family and I were very comfortable. Rooms are small but we didn’t spend much time so it suited our needs perfectly
Friendly Staff
Staff was very accommodating and genuinely kind !
I would like a mulligan on this location
Very small accommodations ask for upgrade was told i had deluxe room hard to believe that it was a deluxe accommodations, shop around
Very dated and not worth the high cost.
Good stay
Great location, clean hotel with great concierge service
Wonderful staff making our stay feel like home!
Very pleased with the overall charm of the property. The room was very nice and the staff was most helpful.
Cosy hotel and friendly and efficient staff.
Very friendly staff throughout our stay, we had a room a bit away from most other rooms which resulted in a very quiet and pleasant stay, only issue was the wifi signal in our room wasn’t great. The room itself had everything we expected and was easy to move around and spacious. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and the city’s main train, bus and tube station is a few minutes down the road offering easy access to the entire city
When in Rome... STAY HERE!
This was actually my third time staying at the Royal and there are many reasons for it. Location at a decent price, service, cleanliness, friendliness ... from the moment you check in you feel like you are their most important client. I love that! I have recommended it many times and i will continue to stay here whenever I'm in Rome!
Family trip
Good location! Clean room comfortable to stay. 3 twin beds actually only 2 twin beds one is for spring bed is not comfortable for my daughter.
Loved the closeness to Termini. Loved the balcony. The staff were very kind and helpful. We would have never found the offsite property had we not been escorted.
Rome family break.
Great room for a family of four with two young children. Room was spacious and clean with a fridge which was very useful! The location is great as it’s very close to Termini station so easy to get around to explore Rome and get to and from the airport as well as find places to eat and drink.
Great location, very nice and spacious rooms! Huge bathroom! The only drawback was that it was a bit cold in the room especially the bathroom. We stayed in February.
Good location, great staff.
A great little hotel with the perfect location for our city break. Rooms were clean and reasonably modern. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us and make our stay enjoyable. Thank you.
Only booked it bc it was close to Roma Termini.

Nice hotel with excellent access to train station but far enough away so it was quiet. Would have given a 5 star but bed was hard so 😜
