Rooms accommodated all of our wants and needs and their staff are amazing. The continental breakfast is a lot and fills the tummy for the day until dinner. Helps save on food cost. Love this place. It could use some refresh but you see staff all day busy doing what they need to for the guests and we love the cats!!
Great place to stay for the location. Hotel and staff is terrible
Woren out needs love and renovations
Good EP.
Excellent; would definitely return!
Great property,All the employees are awesome! The standout employee has to be Dale the bartender. But Dale is so much more.We watched him constantly jumping in wherever help was needed. We also spent 2 evenings talking with him at the bar and he is engaging and an asset to your business. Can’t wait to visit again.
Plumbing issues but overall great location and amazing staff!!
Stayed on the beach
Reasonably priced absolutely great customer service
This is just a ok location, the place need renovation its old, the tv, the slide door to balcony was defective among other little things
Property was clean, safe and convenient.everything was great. Customer service excellent.
Good breakfast nice bartender nice front desk worker👍
The property was nice, the staff was great. Dale at the restaurant was our server everyday always upbeat abd very pleasant dale was just great. There was another lady at the bar also great dont remember her name. The pool was clean the checkin was easy we even got an extended checkout which was great. Our only issue was the room there were ants and bugs all over the lamps and bathroom. Most were dead, so just maybe wipe down the lamps and spray the place to kill them. The tiles are older version would be nice if they could modernize the flooring. Otherwise its really quiet and we will be back. This was my second time here. The continental breakfast options are very limited for a Jamaican. We wanted a fish for lunch and basically couldnt get it the menu was too much in to an American we are jamaicans so variety is needed.
On 7 mile beach and convenient. Nice room with a big bed. Hotel staff friendly and kind.
Didn't like that the room was not equipped with a mini fridge and was told that o ly ocean view rooms have fridges and if i need a fridge i have to rent one for $8 per day. Ice bucket was dirty became it had hair braids in it as if it was used as a storage for hair which means that the room was not checked prior. The patio chairs had no cushions. Food was tasteless.. staff looked unhappy.
There is nothing unique about rooms it needs updating
We had such an awesome experience here at Rooms. The staff Aeisha, Angella, Ciana - Mgr. are all awesome! They know each guest by name and they cater to your every need and wish, and they make exception just to please you at times. I can’t wait to visit again. The staff is wonderful, the manager Ciana is awesome! We love you all.💕
The great staff were very helpful. The property buildings could stand to be refreshed.
The beach was great
The resort is really run down. We've been going to this place for 12 years and watched it slowly go down hill but this year was the worst. Handful of staff, no coffee in the room, lucky if you got face clothes and food is running on a shoestring. Other places to go in negril so definitely not recommended.
The staff was great, the management was not! We arrived on Feb 8th for a 10 day stay. There had been a huge storm on the 6th that left the entire 7 mile beach covered in several feet of seaweed and debris. Many of the other resorts were clearing their beachfront. Rooms management did not make their cleanup a priority. One guest offered to pay for the cleanup but management refused. We took a catamaran cruise on the 15th, where we could see the entire beach. The beach in front of Rooms and a couple surrounding properties was the worst, most others had already been cleared.
This is one of the nicest place in Negril clean friendly staff. Close acess to the beach and pool. I would definitely stay again at this resort. Gabriella C
The location on the beach is excellent, staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean, with great air conditioning. The balcony on this visit unfortunately was a view of a neighbouring parking lot. The shower pressure was low but sufficient. The included continental breakfast was very good and the lunch specials were excellent value and delicious.
The property is clean and the service was good. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. However, the room was not cleaned. This was a surprise to us when we returned to the room.
Everything was great! Food was good. rooms were very clean. Friendly staff. Will be back next year.. Soon Come!!!!!
Wonderful stay, fantastic beach, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and top notch bartender!
Good Value
Second time to Rooms, Perfect location with a wide stretch of beach. Everything in the room worked as it should, coffee pot /AC/TV /shower/ patio door, all in GWC. I loved the included B F, just the right amount of food and served to your table.I would stay here again.
A good place to enjoy Negril
A good service was experienced at the hotel and the staff were all friendly and helpful
A great alternative to the typical all inclusives that I usually stay at when visiting Jamaica. It is right on the 7 Mile beach and there are a lot of restaurant options within walking distance. The staff is extremely friendly.
Staff is friendly and is a central location to many hot spots.
Average stay with much room for improvement
Location good. Hotel tired. Was bitten alive by blue beach towels left in room full of crawling insects. Not happy at all. Go with spray. Get fresh towels . Beach chairs not clean. Free continental breakfast served by staff who was not friendly. Free Breakfast options rationed.
Great location, good breakfast and comfortable room. We enjoyed our 2 week stay there.
Nice property in short walking distance to shops, dining options and entertainment. Ilike that they have a gym and pool.
Friendly staff, geat value. Nice beach. Next to s fairly cool bar.
T
Enjoy my stay nice friendly staff good food and good music by tha bar
No refrigerator in rooms Service
Unfriendly staff members except for security & bartender
For the beach alone is a great location. Rooms are ok and adequate but you get what you pay for.
This is quite an old property that has had some renovation. The room I was allocated was extremely dark and furnished with very old wooden furniture. The only light to the room was provided by a single bedlamp which was not adequate. The bathroom was ok and was newer than the rest of the room. There was a tea/coffee machine in the room and an ice bucket. You had to go to the kitchen with your ice bucket if you required ice for your room as the ice machine was out of order for the two days I stayed there. The swimming pool had an out of order notice on too for the duration of my stay. The continental breakfast is ok but challenging for one member of staff to serve multiple guests. The beach was good. However, the hotel keeps its sunbeds and umbrellas behind a wall away from the beach- so there is no shade from the sun when you are not in the water- not good when its 35 degrees outside! I would not choose to stay here again.
A good spot you're looking for nice, easy and simple
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The beach was beautiful. I had a great time.
Nice environment nice receptionists. Cheap and cheerful. Nice overall
Absolutely worst experience in Negril!! Check in was supposed to be at 3PM, I arrived at 5PM only for them to tell me my room was not yet ready as it was not clean yet. Then had me wait an additional two hours for room to be cleaned. I ended up checking in at 7 PM which messed up my evening plans. Staff at front could not offer me anything but two complimentary drinks. When asked to speak to manager, they told me no manager would be available for my entire stay (how convenient). A couple that came in after me had their room available before me. It was so rude and disgusting. They charged me and extra $8 a day for a refrigerator, which should had been compensated at that point. The room is so tiny, and there was absolutely no wi-fi in the room. The complimentary breakfast is a joke, do not count on that. And bar drinks are awful. The beach front is nice, but they have a dirty wall blocking the beautiful view. Would I ever stay here again, hell nooo!! I ended up extending my trip by three days and I left from this poor customer service place 😡😡
We loved the beach. Everybody was very friendly. We loved it .
I liked the convenience of the location it was central to dining, entertainment, shopping and the beach. The front desk staff were very pleasant and also very helpful. And the Servers in the dining room, And the little housekeeping guy was always helpful when we need something. What I did not like was, the room furniture needs to be updated and better maintained. We also had to go up several flights of stairs with our luggages, because there was no bellman to help, however we happened to catch the security guards who were very helpful. The neighbours and animals around the hotel made it very difficult to sleep sometimes because the roosters crow night and day and the dogs bark constantly thought the night and early mornings. Unfortunately I only went into the water once because no one told us to be carefully of jellyfish in the water and I got sting twice on both hands. Overall we tried to make the best of our one week vacation stay. (And when you need a taxi in Negril ask front desk to call Donald Blake he is the best in the area)
Other than the location, I was very disappointed with this hotel. The door key didn’t work so we had to go to the front desk every day. The remote didn’t have batteries. They never cleaned the room or offered at least clean towels. The servers at the terrible food restaurant were rude and unfriendly. The ice machine didn’t work. The pool was out of service. People on the beach were very aggressive.

Firstly, my room was not cleaned because of lack of persons to do so. I had a two night stay. There was fungal growth on the ball near the bed. The AC unit has a temperature indication which is far too bright. I did not sleep well the first night due to this. The second night, I had to use a towel to cover it to cut down on the brightness in the room.
Loved the location on the beach, friendly staff and breakfast menu. Didn't like the loud music - next door to Woodstock and Roots. Interrupted sleep often.
It is clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly
Great location and beach with friendly, helpful, staff. Needs some maintenance of buildings, ex. painting and the cleaning up of the operational road area. Many good, small restaurents near by. Needs better WiFi service.
This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in the 7 mile beach, Negril.
The location is perfect, just steps away from the most beautiful beach.
If you are a no frills vacationer you will love this property. Everyone is still recovering from Covid. The staff are the best and the locals are very friendly and respectable. It was great getting to know everyone and I miss them already. The beach was the most beautiful I have been on and there is lots to do if you walk up the beach and check out whats happening around. As a single female there wasn't a moment I didn't feel safe. Thanks Negril and Rooms on the Beach. Love Debbie R
The property was clean and lush. The staff is very friendly and made it feel like home.
We had a wonderful time at Rooms and will definitely be going back. The free breakfast includes fresh fruit(amazing), toast and jam, boiled egg, fresh fruit juice, coffee, and a pastry. This is served between 730 and 930am. There is an ice machine outside to keep your drinks cold. Fridges do need to be rented for an additional $8 charge per day and are available on a first come, first serve basis. The sunsets and the beach here are absolutely amazing. If you don't want to be bothered as much by the locals selling on the beach, just hang out behind the wall area. If you don't mind the burning hot sun and love the locals(as I do), being on the other side of the wall is a must. Personally, the wall should be torn down so you can see the ocean while enjoying the beach.
My stay was great at rooms. Staff was helpful. Great location especially to enter on the beach. My only complaint is no refrigerator no microwave water pressure low no wash cloth.
Beach was awesome. Breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly and courteous. Biggest downfall was shortage of bottled water, and soft drinks. rooms could use an upgrade, new curtains some fresh paint.
The hotel was ok. However they didn't change my sheets and towels everyday. They didnt sweep the floors.
Horrible. this place is disgusting. I have been to several ofher properties on 7 mile and all have been great. This place needs to be torn down. No water, duct taped door, rude staff, never a clean towel, common areas look like they haven’t been tended to in years. It’s really bad, and the location is farther down 7 mile where the clientele starts to get a little seedy.
Good
The room is old and have a bad odor when complain to the front desk nothing was done. After filling out a guest survey we were given a room change to a better room, only thing was it was our last day.
Nice place to stay. Been staying for half a dozen years Nice staff,
.
Inexpensive no frills beach front accommodations with awesome breakfast and wonderful staff!
Didn’t get a king bed thought we were, no fridge, coffee maker broken, howling rooster everyday at 3am
It was nice being right off the beach. I think the continental breakfast should be 7:30-10:30 instead of 7:30-9:30. We had no hot water in our room and never fixed it. Some morning are room looked great but others they were kind of lazy to clean it properly. Left a plate from breakfast they never cleaned it. They also only give u one key which is extremely annoying. It’s nice to b about 1 min from the beach. Easy access to stores and restaurants
It's was my 40 trip to Negril. I will try to be as objective as I can. Property is not the problem - it's the management and subsequently staff - neither seem to care. I would give them ZERO on hospitality. I tried to catch a manager during my stay - they were never there. First time I felt like I am a bother in Negril. Everything I asked for was a problem for them. From lack of chairs and umbrellas to the ridiculous rooms to keep chair and umbrellas behind the wall on the beach???? Okay. So I was told it was for protection? So l asked if it was unsafe over the wall- immediate contradiction by personnel - No- it's safe. okay - so can I have my chair with umbrella there? No. Why? it's heave. Ummm... so, let me get this straight. I paid you money, flew over here for hours and went to work to earn the money to pay for all of that - came to stay in your Hotel but - umbrella is too heavy for you? Are u kidding?!?!? Let me help you out with the solution since you lacking real management. 1. Simply destroy your wall - so your visitors can see the water .. believe me - there are over 50 hotels in the beach with no wall - everyone is okay. 2. Buy more umbrellas- perhaps with not such heavy base or baseless but have a drill for sand to install umbrellas. Put them over the wall. Yes! If you are reading this far- you are getting the idea that with all effort I made - I want to stare at ur Seven Mile Beach - not your wall that blocks it!!
No fridge balcony or safe. Couldn’t get beach towels or blankets. Staff has no clue what’s going on. Very disappointed in staff. Place has potential
Very nice place to stay..the view on beach is great
Staff was amazing! Friendly, caring and they went out of the way time after time. The resort needs some updates, but was acceptable. Breakfast was good. We did not eat lunch, but did look at the menu and it was priced fair. We will stay there again.
When we first arrived our room wasn't ready so we had to sit there and wait almost an hour! Then when we finally got to our room, we found that the water pressure was horrible and our shower didn't work at all. Everything got fixed (except water pressure) but the staff, OMG, the staff talk about unfriendly people, we got snubbed by them all the time, it was like it was a problem for them to do anything for us. For us to get another towel they told us to track down the maid cart and get some off of that. It was so ridiculous.
I have stayed in Negril over 20 times at all inclusives, and non all inclusives and found this hotel to be very well put together. The rooms had limited towels, and even didnt offer a blanket for the beds. I spoke with other guests and they had the same issue for their 2 rooms. Anyway, I was usually able to get towels and a blanket as needed with no incident. Thank you for your hospitality. Also, DJ the life guard on the beach was very helpful when asked. And Gary at the bar were like friends. Tell them thank you for making me feel comfortable.
Nice location but rooms in need of updates
Beautiful location on Seven Mile Beach. Rooms in desperate need of renovation with oddities throughout the room. Not in the room much so we let it pass and didn't complain. Just beware this hotel is a 2 star at best with a 5 star location. So, if the room doesn't matter to you then this may be the place for you.
Like location, location. Surroundings well-kept. Friendly and helpful staff especially cleaning and maintenance. Room needs some update. H/W faucet in sink and hand shower not working. Reported to maintenance.
Best thing about property is location: close to Alfred’s and next door to Woodstock and Roots Bamboo ( night life & live shows). My 2nd stay there because of location. Food is okay. Rooms are comfortable enough, ac cools room quickly. Coffee maker but no coffee or sugar. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful beach ateps away.
Great Staff very friendly nice location
The beach was very nice and convenient. The staff was mostly nice and helpful. The property is a little dated and the rooms need better furniture, especially the bed.
THIS hotel will not be on my list for negril ever. The initial check in took an extra 4 hours, due to no linens in the entire hotel. We waited until 7pm for a 3pm check in that we arrived early for at 11am. Once the attendant, got a fitted sheet she put it on the bed, and there was not enough pillow cases either. We had to lay in the room with NO COMFORT, blanket and the room was not properly cleaned. The next morning we were told that towels would be sent to our room immediately. We still waited until 3pm to get a towel to bathe (we had not washed for 2 days at this hotel) once we got the towels we check the shower nasty and spraying everywhere. We had to resort to washing up in the sink.... At this time we decided to relocate hotels. When mentioned to the front desk person she made the suggestion to move to a better room on THE NEXT DAY.... I did not understand why we couldnt move NOW. So we decided to leave this hotel. Kitchen staff unwelcoming, breakfast nasty. The only helpful person was Lesha, the lady who was also confused as to why our room wasn't ready. She was left with no guidance from management. We left this property 3 days in advance and also signed the documents stating why. All staff was shamed at service. When I asked for a refund of the nights not stayed both EXPEDIA AND THE HOTEL denied it. So I am now out of $650!! I cannot believe Expedia didn't even try or that the hotel denied. This is the last time I will use Expedia and Trust me book somewhere else!
Small, safe and great beachfront
We had a pleasant three day stay Staff were helpful Our room needed alittle attention shower tap and balcony door otherwise Beds comfortable AC brilliant Would recommend and would come again
Great property and staff. Definitely will be back.
The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. Easy access to the beach
Rooms good value
Good value for money.. Free breakfast was excellent...private beach
The beach is beautiful
I liked the location on the beach, can get your own ice at anytime, restaurant was much improved from the last time i was there - tasty food at cheap prices - free breakfast, clean pool.
Poor house keeping, room are not properly clean, floor were extremely dirty, shower not clean, constant shortage of bath towels and wash cloths.
The whole service is terrible I have no hot water for the weekend I was there
Rooms On The Beach was a return stay for 9 to 11 people in our group. Everyone had a horror story this visit, from zero hot water, to neglecting simple requests for blankets. Everyone remembers microwave and refrigerators as included amenities, now they have to be rented. The only thing saving ROTB are it’s employees - Ms Vilma, kitchen, Ms Keisha, front desk, and all the security staff at the gate. All these ladies posses the beautiful smile and conversational skills to engage customers, even though we were all disappointed. Needless to say, this was our finale at ROTB.
Pool did not work for the entire time I was visiting , recieved clean towels on day 1 of 7 after that I was told no towels available as they are stuck in ochio rios , safe was broken , breakfast was limited and cold
Nice Hotel
I had a nice experience there. I wish they had different kinds of food selections on the menu beside the same section. But it is what it is. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints on my end.
The gate security was unpleasant, with bad attitude as if you are bothering them to get in and out of the property. The hotel had no linen. I will not stay there again
Service was bad
I had a horrible experience, there was no hot water and it wasn’t resolved for two entire days. Then the shower handle stopped working and we couldn’t turn off the water for over an hour. I wouldn’t stay there again
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful dealing with the resort upgrading issues which affected clients. The upgrading needs to continue as the location, beach and staff are all excellent.
Ok, Rooms has so much potential. However, our last stay there was sadly lacking. No WiFi Dirty pool Requested room cleaning didn’t happen Broken TV remote I didn’t complain but got fed up by the end of our stay. The tourists are the bread and butter for Jamaicans . If we are not happy we won’t return to your hotel. It’s that simple! Get some updates and ramp it up, your little hotel is great if you can do that.
Good location.

I always stay at Rooms & have the best time the staff are amazing & the manager is always on hand
