I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were extremely professional, courteous, and always willing to assist with any request. Their service truly stood out and made the stay more pleasant. Another major plus was the hotel’s location—it was very close to all the food and shopping areas, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city without needing to travel far. However, the biggest drawback was the lack of soundproofing. The walls were paper-thin, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. I could hear conversations, footsteps, and even the cars passing through the streets Overall, if you’re looking for excellent service and don’t mind some noise, this hotel might work for you. But if you’re a light sleeper, you may want to consider other options.

During our stay i noticed d housekeeping wasn’t sweeping d floor coz i could see in my luggage when packing then d curtain was also dusty.

I would stay again.

Recently renovated, clean,relatively comfortable. Conveniently located in the old city near the lake. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants are located nearby. The breakfast was of reasonable quality and variety, but by day 5 it was getting too familiar. All staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again and recommend for others looking for a moderately priced accommodation in old city.

Wonderful

Amazing facilities,wonderful people. Unbelievable value The only downside is that it’s a little out of town,but the taxis are so cheap & arrive in 5 minutes max And,having just stayed in a crap hotel that had two glorious reviews,let me tell you I’m real & ive travelled most of the world!

Average Hotel

There is a club across the street which became very annoying trying to sleep. The room and amenities were average, nothing special. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Quality depends on location.

I was moved to a different hotel location because they over booked. Was told I would get an upgrade. There was a club across the street. Very noisy.

Nice stay at Icon 36

The hotel is ok with spacious rooms it not too many shops n eateries outside n quite noisy with cars n motorcycles noises

Value for money

Hotel is clean and spacious, breakfast is average. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Location is great; short walk to everywhere & located on a relatively quiet street. Just don’t stay on the 8th floor as the elevator goes up to 7th floor only.

Avoid a all costs. We feel cheated!

Awful. Manager rushed to greet us. Gave long story about water damage and sent us in a taxi to sister hotel 900m - 1stlocation was ideal. 2nd was appalling. See previous reviews. Icon 36 appears to do this frequently due to over-booking. From charming location to much less pleasant part of town. 2nd Hotel had a beautiful lobby and friendly receptionists. "Deluxe room" stank unbearably of cigarettes and the bathroom had a glass wall so that a guest in bed could watch their partner in the shower. The room and balcony overlooked a very noisy & ugly street. We are non-smokers and asked to move rooms.A t first the receptionist offered air-freshener. They moved us to a smaller room overlooking same street: 2 single beds pushed together, broken toilet seat, cigarette burns everywhere, dirty walls,fainter cigarette smell. Club across the street started INCREDIBLY LOUD THUMPING NOISE until 2:15. Clubs and staff hung around in the street until 3am. The quiet lasted until 6am. In the morning the manager was strangely surprised that we had not enjoyed Hotel #2 when we walked to back to #1 with bags.He refused any kind of compensation and would not even cancel our 2nd night. We left very angry feeling badly cheated.

Waste of money..

My birthday stay with Icon 36 hotel and residents was alright. It was clean and the staff was friendly. We had problems with the door not closing so the outside noise was horrific despite the fact there was suppose to be sound proof doors. when I tired to take a bath the jets didn't work and the tub leaked all the way into our room at 1am. I was hoping my birthday would have been a bit more memorable but I was let down.

The room we stayed in has a malfunctioning aircon, the room couldnt get cold. I requested an electric fan. The bath tub looked like it has seen better days. The towels didnt smell good. The lobby is hot.. the cafe got flooded so breakfast was not provided. the only thing commendable about this hotel is the staff. They were all polite and apologetic. This hotel need a major improvement.

Loved it

This hotel is in a great location and the staff are very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Right in the buzzing center of it all

Rad lil spot, just close enough to the madness to be easy to get around but just far enough to be able to relax. Quiet rooms, very friendly staff. Don't get confused tho! There are multiple locations under the same name so double check your address at time of booking.

Good location in old town

A very nice hotel the only problem is the sound from other guests in the hall way is very easy to hear... So it can be quite noisy. Cannot hear sounds from the street though...

I wouldn't recommend this hotel!

We checked into our hotel and within 30 minutes we found multiple cockroaches in the room including one that ran across my friends bed. However the staff were helpful and transferred us to their sister hotel Icon 36 Hotel which was only a short minute walk and seemed much cleaner.

Good hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi.

My first trip to Hanoi. I did not know what to expect. It was cold raining and Hanoi is not great. Roads narrow and disorganised. Traffic a joke. Food is great and the people are friendly.

Cosy hotel with good staff services

I brought my mum who is 75 years old and my 2 teenage kids to Hanoi and stayed in Icon 36 Hotel and Residences. I am impressed with the good services provided both the reception staff (unfortunately I did not get her name) who was helpful, understanding and bubbly, and also her manager Mr Thien, who was very polite and accommodating. He was so good and kind in helping out with a major misunderstanding of an ugly episode with the cyclo service, my hats off for him. You have indeed displayed a professional hotel manager's role, being calm and composed. Thank you very much. Overall, my stay in this hotel, was fantastic and I will definitely stay here again.

Great location and friendly staff

Hotel staff were very friendly and professional. Overall a nice stay. The only downfall were that the walls in the room were very thin and even being on the third floor could hear people in the lobby

Wonderful!

Fantastic location. Excellent young reception staff who were so friendly and helpful for everything we needed. Nothing was a problem. And we were able to book trip to halong bay and also the open bus ticket through Mr Tom with no hassles. Would highly recommend felt very safe there. Only minor thing was that there was noise outside our rooms in the early morning not sure if it was other people staying there or the staff ?

Average Hotel

In Old Quarter close to everything. If you want a good hotel then this is not for you but its clean with the usual great friendly staff which seems typical in Vietnam. Nice stroll to the lake and a wander around the streets of the Old Quarter.

Location excellent, staff fantastic

We had a night in this hotel before get a trip to ha long bay. Our room is quite ok for the price we paid with buffet breakfast, nOthing to complaint except the WiFi signal was not so stable but they fixed it so it was fine. We just surprised by their team, so kind especially Kelly, she even brought us to beer corner at night, had lot of fun here. 5* for them

Great location, helpful staff

Located just near dong xuan market, hoan kiem lake, night market, restaurant... All in walking distance, we loved it's location most. Room is nice with things you need but staff are super helpful and informative. Recommend you to try.

Great team, all staff are very helpful, smiling and very accommodating. Room clean with window and desktop computer. Breakfast is excellent too. They make us feel like visiting old fiend.

Awsome hotel in the old town area

I stayed 5 nights here and found the location superb for the old town. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very comfortable with modern room and good breakfast. Wifi reception is not so good in the second floor. Overall, I had a great experience staying at this hotel.

Location, location, location

I only stayed for a night.the hotel is quite good, plenty breakfast, the staff is nice and very helpful. Location is near night market, central market and walking distance from hoan kiem lake (old town area).

Comfortable stay in Hanoi with friendly staff

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast covered all our needs for hot and cold foods. Cool drinks and refreshing towels were provided on arrival. We had some friends visit us from another hotel, and the staff also greeted them with free drinks and towels while they waited for us in the foyer. Our friends were not enjoying their stay at another larger 4 star hotel several blocks away due to construction noise and the pool being closed. So they decided to stay at Icon 36 for the remainder of their holiday and found the friendly staff so much better. There is nice bar downstairs with some really great and inexpensive cocktails. There is a fully equipped computer with internet access supplied in each room. USB ports were handy for picture uploads and emailing. All of the provided amenities worked well. There is a money exchange and tour booking office right next door, although you can book all your tours at the booking desk right next to the reception office. Đồng Xuân markets are just up the road in covered building. This expands into a massive street market on weekends with some really great bargains to be found.

Over rated, Service is not up to the expectation.

Hotel was expensive and not worth it. First hotel I have seen which doesn't provide complementary water and room had only one tea bag where as the room was for two persons. I had to request for tea/ coffee packs. Front desk girls are always busy on computer and too busy to answer guests. Staff at front desk are not at all helpful. There are two service staffs who are very courteous and helpful.

Mauvais rapport qualité /prix !

Bruyant !!! Un chantier accolé à l'hôtel avec du bruit de 05h du matin à 1h le jour du 1er janvier .... et les jours précédents et suivants ! Fenêtre condamnée à cause d'une bâche de chantier, chambre non conforme aux photos et finalement pas d'interlocuteur parlant le français comme mentionné sur le site ...très déçu !

Mycket trevligt hotell som inte ser så mycket ut från gatan men vårt rum var stort och bekvämt.

Hotel bien localisé (pas aussi beau que photos)

Hotel bien situé, personnel sympa et courtois Déjeuner très ordinaire, manque de choix Les chambres sont ok mais sans plus. Nous avions réservé la chambre deluxe et les photos étaient superbes sur Expedia mais très loin de la realité. Matelas inconfortable, baignoire veille, taché et les contours très sales. Les murs montraient des signes d'infiltration d'eau et de moisissures, murs tachés... Pas de coffre fort et d'ordinateur tel que mentionné dans l'annonce Le prix est ok mais ne payé pas de surplus pour une meilleure chambre, l'hôtel n'en vaut pas le coût

Bra hotell om man inte är kräsen

Vi hade en bra upplevelse på hotellet tills vi en natt hittade en kackerlacka i badrummet. För någon som inte bryr sig är det kanske ofarligt men för oss var det traumatiskt. Duschen sög, det var en kort duschslang och det kom knappt ut vatten ur den, tog lång tid att duscha pga det. Fönstrena är så tunna att det känns som man bor ute på gatan då all ljud från bilarna med allt turande hörs. Men öronproppar löste det problemet för oss. För övrigt var hotellpersonalen väldigt snälla och hjälpsamma och frukosten var helt ok om man ska va där några dagar bara, det var ingen stor variation.

Hôtel bien situé.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cet hôtel. A notre arrivée, notre chambre n'étant pas prêté, nous avons dû attendre. En principe le check in se faiasit à partir de 14h. Finalement, nous avons eu la clé à partir de 13h. Dans tous les cas c'est très pénible d'attendre après 11h de vol. Le personnel a fait de son mieux.

L'hôtel tres bien situé dans le vieux quartier de Hanoi. Le personnel est super aimable et serviable. Les chambres sont confortables, mais la salle de bain était un peu sale et la chambre pourrait être un peu rafraîchie. Somme toute, c'est une tres bonne adresse avec une bonne relation qualité-prix

Tres bien

L'hôtel est tres bien situé dans le vieux quartier de Hanoi et le personnel et super aimable. Les chambres sont bien, mais quelques petites réformes pour les rafraîchir seraient intéressantes. Somme toute, c'est un très bon choix qualité-prix en ville!

우선 트리플배드가 매력적이었으나 에어콘이나 기타 오래되서 많이 낙후되었으며 특히 조식은 기대하지 않는게 좋을듯 합니다

飛行機の時間に合わせてチェックアウトの時間を遅らせてもらいました。 やさしいスタッフさんが対応してくれ、一生懸命日本語を話してくれました。

Bra hotell men lyhört

Mycket bra värde för pengarna. Rummet var rent och snyggt med en bra frukost och trevlig personal. Dock så är det lyhört men trafiken utanför märkte jag inte mycket av. Rekommenderas om man vill bo i old quarters.

何度でも利用したいホテル

昨年も利用したが旧市街にも近く、静かでとても安心できるホテルです。なんと言ってもスタッフの方達がとても気持ちいい挨拶や、応対をしてくれる。昨年居たスタッフも数名おり、顔を覚えていてくれた。

Schöner Aufenthalt

Kurztrip nach Hanoi, gute Lage des Hotel, rundum alles zu Fuß erreichbar, sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, alles bestens, etwas kleine Zimmer ( üblich für Hanoi ), etwas laut auf den Etagen. Im großen und ganzen eine sehr günstige und zentrale Lage.

Utrolig hyggelig betjening. God frokost.

旧市街からも近くて良いホテル

スタッフは皆フレンドリーで、笑顔と挨拶を欠かさなかったです。部屋は思ってたよりは広くて、シングルベッド１つとダブルベッド１つが備えられていた。シャワーもバスタブ付きで、給湯器の電源さえ切らなければ、お水になることは無かった。（１度電源を切っちゃったため、水で我慢したことがある。）コンセントもベッドに２口、テレビ脇に１口、クロゼットに１口、洗面所に１口と、十分にありました。
