What a great property. The owners were so nice. The rooms were clean and well stocked. We use the laundry facility, which was very nice. It is walkable to downtown and to the gardens, which was great. Several wonderful restaurants within walking distance as well. Really would recommend this property.

Excellent for an inexpensive motel.

Family owned by a very nice couple that are on site. The room was very modern and not the normal hotel room layout. It was very clean all around. They had a booklet in the room that offered discounts at some of the surrounding food spots. We used 2 free drink cards from that at RR down the street. Parking is right out front of the rooms. The location is very central and walking distance to a small mall. There are several eateries offering mostly Asian eats but some of everything else too. The hot tub jacuzzi in the bathroom was nice to have. We would highly recommend this place to stay. Nicest so far on our NZ trip.

We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to have used the jacuzzi tub and kitchenette if we were able to stay longer. The owner was so helpful and friendly, and our room was spacious and comfortable. Good restaurant options in the area too!

It was a great experience-- we were welcomed by lovely owners who went out of their way to accommodate our requests and provide information. Conveniently located near wonderful restaurants recommended by the owners and had a fabulous meal. The room was very clean-- and by my standards, that is saying something! Would highly recommend.

Very clean and comfortable rooms with facilities even to do a simple meal in the microwave. Shower is super. Very pleasant property run with lots of care and interest given by kind lady and gent. Wi-Fi very good fast and uninterrupted. Lots of eating places near by in walking distance. Ideal for people like us who get long flights from abroad to Christchurch to relax before tour around the country. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel on the main road. Rooms are perfectly situated so they are quiet. It's in a great location as it's walkable to local dining options and the city center. Beds are really nice and the showers are great! Fabulous hosts who helped us with dining options.

Great for a 3-day stay.

Great place to stay, friendly people, clean, everything worked well, and the price was great. It was a vacation but nonetheless we were able to set up two laptops to do a few things and internet connection was great.

Stayed 5 days and couldn't fault anything! Owners and staff were great. Nice little terrace on the back of No. 5 to relax. Location is superb, city centre is only 20 - 30 mins easy walk through lovely park and Riccarton Road has international eateries and bars to suit all tastes plus the large Westfield shopping mall. Transport is available as buses pass the door between the Airport and City centre. Highly recommended , would stay again without hesitation!

Best motel we have ever stayed at

This is a lovely modern motel with great facilities. Near Hagley park and close to cafes and really good restaurants. We stayed in an apartment type room and it was fantastic. Spacious, comfortable, even a recliner lounge and a small patio area to sit outside. Comfortable bed, loved that the bedroom and lounge was at the back of the unit so that nobody was walking past. Friendly staff and spotless. Nothing to not love. Would recommend and we will be back

Bit of a walk into town but via one of the best parks in NZ. This motel is also the best we stayed in over 6 weeks touring this great country.

Great place to stay. Rooms were modern, clean, quiet and spacious. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The motel itself is located near to a vibrant shopping mall and has a number of great cafe options for breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful attention to detail, right down to the 'makeup' facecloth.The staff were very friendly and helpful. I booked this motel because on Expedia it said that there was a restaurant but this wasn’t the case. I was disappointed as I was travelling on my own and wanted the convenience of eating on the premises.

Super location, extrememly clean, great condition!

We are a family of 5 with older teenagers, the corner 2 -bdrm unit worked perfectly. We rented the unit for 3 days. Owner/manager is extremely friendly. There is practically any type of food within walking distance on Riccarton and a quick jump to downtown Christchurch. We would definitely rent again.

The hotel offers lavender based luxury bathroom products from Jeynar which I absolutely like. Another positive side is the heated towel rack which dries the towels quickly.

A Luxurious and Well Kept Family Friendly Hotel

This is the second time my family, consisting of 2 adults and 3 children, is staying with Roma. We stayed there 2 years ago and the room given us was the same, if not better, than before. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and as pictures show, it was lovely. It consists of a room with 2 single beds and another with a queen and a single bed. All very spacious and well lit. Pros:- Apartment is very clean and well kept, beds are very comfortable, living area is spacious, bath has a huge spa tub(unfortunately we did not use it), towels are clean, toiletries were great, dining area was good, Wifi unlimited with great connectivity, kicthen, though small is very well equipped and most of all, thanks to the wonderful host who always make our stay memorable. Location is very convenient and close to Westfield Riccarton Mall, shops and a fish monger who sells fantastic fish for reasonable prices and has a great personality to boot. An Asian supermarket is all within walking distance. Very quiet despite being by the roadside. Points to note:- Our unit is on the second floor, which means having to lug our luggages up the stairs. No dishwasher and oven in unit(for those who want to buy frozen stuff meant for conventional ovens), however there's a microwave.

The room had nice touches, down to air freshener in the bathroom and lovely toiletries. What few requests we had were promptly and happily met ... even to darker curtains.
