Fake reviews, broken window, stains on sheets, bugs in rooms, lock did not work

Just a step above sleeping on the ground.

It was advertised as 2 queen beds, which our room was not. I measured the beds and they were actually 2 full size. The beds, besides being far too small for 2 adults, were hard as a rock. The shower head barely had any water coming out of it, and the pressure was so bad that you had to stand directly over the drain to get barely a dribble of water on you. Not to mention that the later in the day you wanted to shower, the less hot water made it to the room. The included usb port on the nightstand wasn’t operational so charging my phone was an ordeal. The “breakfast” was cold cereal, oatmeal, juice, coffee and waffles. That’s it. I’ve stayed at other hotels in this price point and had far better breakfast options. If you’re looking for somewhere inexpensive that’s just a step above tent camping, then this is the place for you. We ended up leaving and not staying the 2nd night we had booked because I would rather make the 12 hour drive home overnight than try to sleep in those beds again. I didn’t complain at the hotel because I didn’t think it would do any good so we just checked out.

Not a place for family

Hotel was in a bad area, we only stayed there one night before switching to another hotel that one night that we stayed there was like five or six gunshots heard across the street. And in talking to the front desk people they said that they have drug addicts in and out of that place all the time

The costumer services was amazing. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable of the area, answered all of our questions and were very helpfull throughout our stay.

It needs to be exterminated.

With filthy floors comes hunger little mice!

Customer service was good but they lack in the cleanliness department. If you don’t mind filthy floors and mice, great place to stay! Myself, husband and handicapped mother traveled to watch our grandson (great grandson in my mother’s case) graduate BMT at Lackland AFB. I chose this hotel after reading the reviews and because of its location to the base. If I hadn’t booked our reservations through Hotels.com we would have changed hotels!

I enjoyed my stay and I didn't stay all three days only two and never got my refund...

Peaceful stay.

I had a good stay peaceful and quiet. Not a lot of people partying and being loud like some places. Staff is very Informative and polite. Room and property over all is very clean and spacious. I recommend coming here.

Secret Oasis!

Best keep secret on the west side of San Antonio. Close to everything we needed and the pool was awesome. Continental breakfast was lacking but with so many breakfast choices so close no worries!

The motel didnt look very appeasing on the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my room. It was a nice, clean room that could/should have have some more cosmetic things fixed, but it served its purpose.

Rooms was absolutely DISGUSTING!! Sheets were all dirty and stained as well as all the towels. Floor sticky and dirty. Bathroom dirty with mold and water damage. Fridge had mold in it. The microwave was dirty and the A/C was falling apart. The area was horrendous really ghetto, homeless people everywhere, the main office was really bad, poor customer service. Overall the place needs to be SHUT DOWN.

The Price is Right

Staff was friendly and helpful. Roaches, some dead some alive, were on the floor when we came in. McDonalds sack behind the headboard. Did not think water would ever get hot, but it did then it was fine. There was a roll of weather stripping and cutters on top of refrigerator. Motel was quiet and there were no issues with shady people hanging around. We stayed two nights and on the first morning they brought extra towels without us having to ask. Coke machine was well stocked and worked, very cold.

Good Value

The Inn was easy to find. I checked in about 3am an the woman working was nice. The Inn isnt a 4 star resort, its a reasonably priced place and was suitable and comfortable to me. The room was spacious, looked to be freshly painted, has wood looking laminate floors, which I prefer over carpet. The bed was comfortable, linens and towels were fresh. The bathroom was fine. I felt safe being there. The ac worked great. Each time I came and went, I noticed that staff was keeping an eye on the property which I also liked.

Dead bolt did not work and indoor handle fell off. They fixed the handle and said they had a guy coming today to fix dead bolt Was very pleased with hot water level and amount. Hot showers are important to me. Breakfast was basically waffle, juice or dry cereal Overall appropriately priced. Workers were friendly. Would stay again.

This was not an ideal place to stay for a week. Not very clean and not a lot of amenities.

Great and Affordable

If you are looking for an affordable and friendly place to stay, this is the place to be. We went for ours sons Air Force graduation and we had a great time and staying here added to it. The owners and workers are very attentive and friendly.

We knew we booked a non smok

The room was clean and neat. The outside was well lit and clean. The front desk lady was nice and helpful.

Very basic, bottom of the line, straight to the point. Nothing exciting. No unique decorations or amenities. Glad they had a pool but not for swimming, just cooling off. Offered a small breakfast, but i could have done without listening to the staffs nasty personal phone conversation. It didn't seem like anyone took advantage of the breakfast offered. Everything seemed clean but old, with the exception of the flooring. The flooring looked newer. I would not stay here again.

Nasty hotel, unsafe

This Property is not safe and secure, I traveled from North Carolina to San Antonia for a trip, this property is not well maintained by the staff the bathroom tub is so slippery, the beds is not comfy.

Hotel appearances and upkeep very poor. Bright lime green is not a relaxing color. One of the ceiling lights painted red. Sofa bed in need of cleaning or replacement. Breakfast was adequate but apple juice was like water. Next day was orange and it was good. Overall for the cost it was satisfactory. Only wanted to sleep there at night after a long day as tourists in downtown.

Lady at the front had bad attitude

There were live cockroaches and dead cockroaches, all in the room on the walls under the bed in the bathroom. Disgusting. We checked and then we checked out.

This hotel has a problem with roaches.

Worst check in experience of my life. First they demand a $100 cash deposit, which was wierd but I complied. After looking at my florida driver license she kept asking over and over if I lived there in San antonio, then kept asking why I was there and what my plans where. I've had shorter job interviews. I told her I wouldn't need any room service and she said "no someone must come everyday and clean the the room", I then had to explain over and over that I have insomnia and didn't need or want that, but she couldn't grasp the concept. Finally I demanded that she give my deposit back so I could somewhere else, and then she changed her mind. Breakfast was lacking, nothing but sugar. Tried to get some juice from machine and water came out. Told the staff and she said it doesn't work. Maybe spend 2 mins and tape a piece of paper to it saying it doesn't work? Not sure how effective a smoke detector is when it has a bag around it with tape...

My stay was from May 2 - 5, 2023 and it was very close to the AFB. The property was clean and the pool was well kept also. We went swimming while we were there as well. Breakfast is served every morning from 6am til 9am.

When I walked in the room there were rouches all around decided not to stay.front desk person said they did have an infestation problem but could give me a room that didn’t have rouches,really?? I asked for a refund but was denied.I’m getting with my bank to dispute this room charge. Beware that’s why they put it on Expedia no refunds.I have pictures of the rouches they were on the bed as well.

Nice stay overall

Enjoyed our stay. When i book its a must that the hotel offers breakfast. We enjoyed the hot waffles& cereal. They also had orange juice, lemonade, apples, powered donuts& chocolate chip muffins. The room was clean, shower was hot, the bed wasnt that comfortable but i slept ok. Checkin was quick and easy& the ladies were very pleasant.

Even through the staff was pleasant. The room was poorly cleaned, the sheets looked like they haven't been cleaned properly, and to put the icing on the cake it had bed bugs. Yes, bed bugs. I had to call the front desk to advise them of the situation to have them move me rooms. I hope the property manager or owner is aware of the situation and make a change to provide better service to their customers.

FILTHY!!!! Broken down. We left and went to a different hotel ASAP!!!!

The military changed the family access to graduation, thus, making it closed to active duty only. Once we found out we sought to cancel our reservations week or more in advance, but hotel refused to give a refund. Lowsy foreigners love American money and freedoms but not willing to accommodate those who provide it when things beyond their control change.

It was ok.... the bathtub floor was dirty... they didnt change the towels.... it was a little price for what it is offering

The room was horrible the sheets were stained the couch look like it was water damage there was a weird smell in the room and the lady at the front desk was no help.

No one was around during breakfast hours to refill small breakfast items like butter, or we couldn't pay for waters we wanted. Over all, it was a good stay

This was the worst place I have ever been, we didn't even stay 5 minutes. I asked for a full refund and they said they would. Hopefully I will be able to get that sooner rather than later. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Good for sleeping

The bathroom door lock was broken and door never gets locked. The soap shampoo bottles were empty. And yes, 1st time I found only 2 pillows on 1 Queen bed, all other hotels offer 4 pillows for comfy sleep

DONT GO HERE! THE ROOMS ARE NASTY N UNCLEAN!!

OK I CHECKED IN AND WENT TO MY RM 132. IT WASNT CLEANED. FROM THE BATHROOM TO THE BED N FLOORS WERE BAD. THE BED WAS JUS MADE UP THERE WAS SPOTS OF BLOOD, HAIRS N DIRTY FROM SOMEONE BODY AND HAD A BAD MUSTY SMELL. THE PHONE DIDNT WORK SO I COULD CALL FRONT DESK. MIND U SHE SAID DAIL 0 IF I NEEDED ANYTHING! WELL WITH IT BEING FREEZING OUTSIDE I WALKED DOWN TO OFFICE TO GET HER I WAS SO UPSET. HER AND ANOTHER LADY WENT TO GET MORE LINEN BED LINEN AN TOWELS FOR ME TO CHANGE AND I THANK GOD I HAD LYSOL ABD BLEACK SPRAY SO I WENT TO SPRING CLEANING ALL I COULD. FRIDGE AN MICROWAVE WAS SOOOO NASTY ON TOO OF THAT MOLD WAS EVERYWHERE. I STAYED CAUSE WE CAME WAY FROM EAST TX N SHE SAID SHE DDNT HV ANOTHER ROOM N MENTIONED SHE WOULD GIVE ME A GOOD DISCOUNT CAUSE ALL THE ROOMS R THE SAME. I HAD TO RUN THE WATER FOR AT LEAST 15-20 MINUTES FOR THE WATER TO WARM UP. I PUT MY BAG DOWN IN FRONT OF SINK A LITTLE TO THE SIDE. THE SINK FLOODED N WET MY THINGS I HAD TO BUY CLOTHES N A COMFORTER CAUSE THE BROUGHT A BLANKET. NEXT DAY I TOLD THEM I ONLY NEEDED TOWELS CAUSE I HAD RO PUT TOWELS DOWN UNDER THE SINK. THEY WAITED TIL I LEFT AFTER 1 AND WENT IN N CALLED THEMSELVES FIXING THE SINK AND LEFT WHITE CLAY ON TO OF SINK AND TOWEL RACK.

I would ha e never stayed here

I would have never stayed here if I would have known the condition of the hotel. It was not as pictured and extremely run down. Breakfast was a joke. When we checked in the key machine wasn't working so the front desk clerk had to let us in our room twice. We did not get keys until the afternoon of our 2nd day.

Well lets see first off i made 2 reservations but the only had one in their system. Had to last minute find another hotel for the rest of my party. The room was small and not cleaned properly. You could see the dust on things and do they ever. Clean the walls or shower? I dont think so! The shower itself was bad old needs updating and in desperate need of having the drain snaked so you dont stand in a foot of water. Even the sink was backed up! The mini fridge didnt keep anything cold. Nobody has cleaned the microwave ever. Pics definitely do not match the room. And parking was an issue. They have parking spots right in front of the rooms but if you leave the hotel the workers take your spot and you get stuck parking all the way in the back of the hotel and walking all the way to the front where your room is. Needless to saywas not expecting luxury but at least reasonably clean.

Property was within 15 minutes of anything I needed. Staff was helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was lacking. The decor and furniture was old and broken.

The hotel is showing it's age. If a clean and economical place to stay is what you're looking for, then this a good hotel. It is very close to Lackland. If ambiance and atmosphere are what you're after, then this is not your place.

The rooms smelt fresh and welcoming. Staff was courteous and friendly.

The staff was nice. Wall border is coming down,furniture old dirty torn,graffiti on wall,bare light bulb on lamp. Carpet filthy.

I actually had to pay again for the room because they didnt have my paid reservation showing in their system.

The bedding was stained and dirty. Bedroom walls had holes and stains. Crumbs and hair still in the pull out sofa. Front desk representative was not pleasant. Booked a room with two beds and was given a room with one, but was told if I wanted the room I booked I would have to clean it myself. Including changing the bedding myself.

We never got to stay I checked in drove to the room carried our bags in and the police were all over the property because of some criminal mischief that was going on we had to leave and we were never allowed back on the property or in the room The bags that we carried in when we carried in the first time for 5 minutes we didn't get back until 3 days later which was my phone my tablet and a bag of clothes The hotel is a high traffic high crime hotel we didn't know that and we never got to stay and we never got our money back

disappointed

I was disappointed with this hotel. I book it online and clearly the pictures are outdated. The room was dark, only one drape that was torn badly, stain all over the carpet, very few towels, window had hand prints and grease on the inside, people kept sliding flyers in the door (which came right in because the in hardly a door jam) at all times of the day/night, if you did not slam the door it would pop open on its own, only one coffee package for 4 days of stay, the tub was plugged had to clear it myself, the water was slimy from the shower and sink, toilet constantly ran, the couch badly stained and about 10 years old. wall paper falling off the walls, every lamp shades cracked on inside, and you had to turn the light on manually (only light switch was for bathroom and vanity mirror), and the towels that are provided and not even large enough to be considered bath towels. My first night there, I had to wake the attendant up at 5 am from sleeping on the couch to get towels for my shower. There is no ATM, they want to walk to the next door hotel to get cash. oddly enough we had no cold water, isn't that odd? Usually, its the other way around. There are no close restaurants or gas station to walk to. The pool looks bigger than it is in the photos but it was ok. There is security walking property at night. You are right next to the freeway but it was not that loud. my reservation, it stated I was able to bed a rollaway bed for free, they were going to charge me $10 a day.

My room was clean except for a stain on the bedspread that looked like body fluid. My niece's room was not clean and had blood stains on the sheets. The breakfast was good. Check in staff was very nice, but the rest of the staff wasn't very friendly. Especially the housekeeping staff. They acted like we were really putting them out by telling them about my niece's room not being clean. Wanted to use the guest laundry, but it was being used by people who were not even staying at the hotel.

Pool was clean and that is super for all those with children. Our sink faucet was not working at all. This allowed us to use the bathtub for all our toiletries. Room 112 . An awning for picnic would be nice. Have a great day

Housecleaning did a great job of making the beds and replacing towels in the bathroom everyday. I felt like it was a great value for the price. Easy parking and very close to Lackland AFB. We enjoyed our stay.

Internet didn't work and cable went out while we were there. House keeping was on your room all day instead of doing one room at time and stocking it they did opposite we came back to are room with no trash bags and no towels when asked they said they get to it they do everything differently. Breakfast be ok if you just want donuts and cereal they did have waffle machine but it was out mix and juice machine was out juice whole stay we were there. Rooms were ok if your just renting it to sleep only it be good hotel.

Overall it was good. There was urine on the bathroom floor when we arrived.

LACKLAND AFB Basic Military Training graduation

If you're on a budget and have to visit Lackland AFB for a graduation this is not a bad choice for the money. The room was comfortable enough, though the sink faucets were barely functional. Also, I was somewhat surprised that they charged a $14.00 incidental fee which was not refundable when you did not use incidentals. ?? The help was very, very helpful and pleasant, and I would stay again if I had to travel to this particular area.

I didn't care for the shampoo and soap dispensers hanging in the shower, like the kind you see in a public bathroom, tacky. I was disappointed in the Continental breakfast, microwaved scrambled egg patties, no fresh fruits, no orange juice, bacon or sausage, basically a cup of coffee and mini breakfast muffin. The room itself was 3rd rate, and not at all the standard I was expecting from a Rodeway Inn. I would rate the overall experience of staying at this hotel with 1 star.

Great stay

Liked the size of room. Bed was ok. Batgeroom floor very sticky. Forgot coffe in room for coffee pot. Breakfast was horrible an wasnt any orang juice. Price high for the quality.

Feedback about my staying

It was the worst ever I have seen.Break fast is worst of worst.All the rooms are on ground floor and open to road.Room condition is very very bad and I won't suggest this hotel to any body.very tiny room and first time in USA I felt there mosquito in the night.

The room has a smoker's scent. Also, somewhat of a mildew scent. Bed made a noise when sat on. The air conditioner didn't cool the room like I would have like. The staff was great. Checkin was great. Staff was wonderful.

Cheap but OK

Could not get hardly any hot water the repairs were done shabby and if you didn’t watch out where you were walking outside you would probably trip on the concrete and the breakfast left you wondering what did you just see.

Very impressed, especially for the price. Staff was super nice and caring. Property was well kept up. Room was clean and very comfy. So comfy we hated to leave. This was a last min late night reservation due to being too tired to drive home after a long hot day at SeaWorld and we didn't expect much for the price but we were pleasantly surprised. We had stayed at another hotel the night before which was more expensive but a complete nightmare despite having read good reviews. This one was such a last min decision that we didn't even have time to read any reviews. Given that they showed to have only one room left and it was a holiday weekend we just grabbed it and hoped for the best. Both the man at check in and the lady at checkout were beyond kind and very refreshing to encounter. Although the little "store" behind the counter was very limited, my husband asked if they had any antacids for sale because I was having bad heartburn. They didn't, but the man didn't stop after looking there. He went on to go look in their first aid kit and then in his personal property to try to find some for me. He truly wanted to help. We were so worn out & had gotten in late. The lady kindly allowed us a late checkout and also wished us a safe trip home. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for what we needed

I wanna start off by saying that I'm a huge proponent of customer reviews. That being said, I'm glad I didn't put too much stock in several reviews for this motel. We were in San Antonio for our sons Air Force BMT graduation at Lackland AFB. Time was running out and I had to book a place. We wanted to be as close to the base as possible due to very early arrivals on two of the 5 day visit. This motel is located one mile from the main gate to Lackland AFB. It was clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Even gave me window cleaner and paper towels to clean my rental cars windows. They have a very nice pool as well. Breakfast was what you'd expect from a roadside motel. We actually found the Texas shaped waffle maker amusing. The property is very well lit at night and there's also security cameras. The room was a bit dated, but it was very comfortable and clean. The surrounding area isn't necessarily scary, there's just not much to walk to. Again, it's no different from any other area outside of a US military post. They all look the same outside the fence. In short, if you're accustomed to staying in 5 star luxury resorts, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a comfortable place to rest your head while you dream of seeing your new Airman, don't overlook this place. It was just what we needed, nothing more and nothing less. Couldn't beat the price either. Give it a shot.

None of the plugs worked to charge my phone, lights only worked if you switched them on three times, staff was rude and almost walked into my room as I was taking a shower, and I have reason to believe they stole from me

Hotel ok for the price you pay

Staff was nice and helpful. Hotel is a little old but nice, Pool area was great they even have a handicap lift at the pool thought that was awsome good for them. Only complaint was blankets were worn out and needed replacing and vacuum could be better.

Our stay for our daughter's Air Force graduation!

This hotel was better than I expected. There were 3 issues. There was a roach in the bathroom. We killed it and never saw anymore. The air conditioner unit her pulled away from the case/wall. We used the trash can to prop it up so the hot air would not come in from outside. One of the towels had a dead bug in it that had been squished. The breakfast was good. Would have liked to have some type of meat but it was free. The breakfast area was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The employees were very nice and friendly! We had a very nice stay. We will most definitely use this hotel again if we're in that area again.

Ok, so the motel was that of one from yesteryear, but the price was right and the service was FANTASTIC! For the price, you get far more than your money’s worth. We were met with smiles and there was a small issue with the water pressure in the shower and they were on it! We met the maintenance man who took care of the problem and he was so polite and professional. The pool was a perfect little getaway. I’d stay there again!
