Unsanitary Conditions

The rooms were not clean. There was mold on the ceiling and stains on the beds. We did not feel comfortble using the shower due to its condition. The couches were stained and ripped. A small bottle of shampoo was provided but it was half empty. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room but it reeked of cigarettes.

Bathtub was moldy and pealing. Door didn't shut. Toilet was hard to flush. Large rip in couch cushion and very dirty. Refrigerator/freezer was iced over. No light over kitchette sink. No paper towels in kitchen. No electricity near beds. Breakfast was baren. No juice. bad coffee, wafflemaker broken for all 3 days (go to Walmart for a new one?) Front door difficult to close.

Unhygienic and uncomfortable stay

When I entered the room, it was smelling like hell, I turned on the AC and left the room for few mins, it was good after that, I kept my food in refrigerator and guess what it was not working and my food was spoiled. The morning snack area was also not good and bathroom has no water.

No public bathrooms in the lobby. Sheets at spots on them. What? I checked out. Nobody In the lobby had to wait 5 minuthe hotel.

It has a working AC and heating unit in the room and it offered a refrigerator, microwave and stove. Amenities we didn't anticipate, but definitely took advantage of. The problem was the general rooms. The walls had chipped paint, various unexplained holes, heavy stains on the couch, a nonworking toilet so everyone got to see each other's insides on the outside, baby roaches on the wall, limited towels, a beat up chipped sink, and sheets that needed stain remover and a second wash. What's more, the stairwell is uneven and the aesthetics of the building is shabby with the exit sign hanging from a wire. There was no water in the pool and there was an unexplained abandoned vehicle in the front of the building that hadn't been registered for 10 years. We showered with our Crocs on. But the bed is comfortable and it is absolutely quiet at night. It just needs a huge overhaul in renovation, paint and proper care, but at its low cost, you can't beat it.

The pull out couch was disgusting. Smeared cockroaches on the walls, bath tub was slimey. Tv was broken, went to front desk to let te know, they were going to put a 'note' on it, went back the next morning, i was told someone was gonna check it out, no one ever showed up. I was suppoded to get my deposit back and i never got it.

Staff is actually really accommodating and helpful. They aren’t bad people just trying to keep the problem areas you don’t want around to a minimum. There really is a breakfast and it’s well maintained for its age. I’m sure if their parent company choice hotels would pay they would be happy to provide more, Like fix the pool but they have to work with what they are given as well as much as the next person. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and you can’t beat the price for what you get. If your expecting the Hilton then go stay at the Hilton. Had over a dozen hotels. I’ve stayed at in the San Antonio area. This is by far the best bet I’d stay here. Any chance you get. At its price range

The room 102 I was put in looked like a homeless camp. The sofa was stained and dirty. The carpet was wrinkled and dirty, The paint on the walls and other areas was chipped and peeling, The cabinet doors were falling off, the shower tub looked like it had been repaired in a real bad auto shop, The TV was not working properly, and the room smelled like a homeless person was sleeping there.

Stood in the lobby for 49 mins waiting to check in. The lobby was not lit, dark and ominous. Room had inoperable appliances.

My room’s location had the water’s pipes next to it so there was a constant 5-6 seconds of loud noise as if someone was turning on a shower and turning it off only to turn it on again 15 seconds later again. This persisted all night so it was noisy. Sheets were disgustingly dirty and stained. Lighting was not very great and seemed unfinished in the over head sink. A lot of more issues. Probably haunted too. Some stuff fell off the counter that was placed far from the edge.

Outside of building was bad looking broken down car at front entrance. Actually sat outside the building to make sure I was at right location.Young lady was friendly. The place was not clean looking like the picture was. Will not book there again; room had stale smell. Only stay there because it was 15 min from the field my son was playing.

They keep $1.50 per night for themselves. Plus the $50 deposit that is not disclosed. Room is a crime scene. Black mold. Roaches. Sheets needed to sit on the sofa. No extra towels. O my goodness!!!

This hotel is in desperate need of a remodel. It was a very cheap price, and you pay for what you get. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms just in rough shape.

Sad Christmas stay

The purpose of this trip was to visit with family, rest and relax. I was looking forward to a good, long soak in a tub of Epson salts and a cup of hot tea in pleasant surroundings. Because the tub was not clean and there was no tub stopper, I was unable to have my long soak in a tub of Epson salts. Further, I was unable to enjoy a hot shower because the water temperature was more lukewarm than hot, oscillating to cool. The overall condition of the room and furnishings was 'worn-out', making it depressing to stay in. The ceiling above the entry door was water stained and looked like it might collapse at any moment. The veneer on the meal table was loose in several places and I was afraid I might snag my clothing on it.

I like that its quiet, i didnt care that the staff was rude. I feel that if im paying to stay there and been there for two weeks you would at least repect the fact that my money is reason for your gratitude

The beds were old felt like they were full of springs the bathroom needs updated and the appliances need updated somethings didn't work but it wasn't something we could not manage so we stayed the night for a cheap motel is was ok

Do Not Go To This Hotel!!

It was horrible! The room needs major up grade and remodeling!! Everything was broken inside the room!! The lady up front was a little rude and the breakfast was horrible and hardly no options! Never going there again!!

It’s one of those things you get what you pay for. 40 bucks a night gets you a room that was built in the 80s and never renovated. Fire alarm doesn’t work, black mold in the bathroom, no trash cans in the room, rust in the kitchen area. My rental car wasn’t broken into so that’s good at least.

Listen I'm not a picky person I'm my kids don't even tell their friends when my mom says Hotel she means Motel but there was cockroaches and bed bugs it was so many cockroaches when I opened the door it looks like schools of fish

old and hot room, the air conditioning did not work, furniture damaged and dirty, the refrigerator was dirty inside and did not work, it did not have the remote control for the television, I would definitely not stay there again, although I mentioned it to the administration. They solved my problem, the hotel was disgusting

When we walked into our room my wife immediately noticed a big dinged stain splattered along the wall and on that same wall were small medium holes all over, as we bring this up to the front desk he didn’t have an explanation for why the room wasn’t in suitable condition. He insisted that we take the room either way because there weren’t any available rooms and if not then we could leave

Don't stay here

The minute I walked in the room I immediately wanted to walk out and find somewhere else to stay. Nothing how the photos look the walls had patch paint everywhere and horribly vacuumed rugs . The Couch oh my God had the worst stains on it like if someone dropped a full cup of drink from the top and did not sit on it once the bed had burnt pieces all over the blanket and a stain on the top fold . The Tub has black mold . The tvs channels bairly worked the static was bad. Holding the remote a roach came out of it and started crawling on my hand ugh.At one point walking from my car to my room some weird dude seemed like he was on someone thing started yelling something from the pool area and started coming towards me to the room I felt unsafe. And the breakfast was just a waffle maker toast and cereal.coffee milk and apple juice or hot orange juice.

The room could use a makeover. The walls needed painting. The lamp shades eye were torn. The "stove" was missing items. The carpet was musty. And there was an abundance of cockroaches. Not good.

Room is a little issue and is. Bathroom needs lots of renovations. No ice or water in the hotel. Breakfast was good.

This place was horrible. There was rotten food in bedroom behind the night stand. Found drugs next to couch where my babies slept. Didn't want to give deposit back when checked in was told if paid cash deposit would get it back as soon as I checked out .

The sheets were clean yet still looked dirty with smoke holes. Roaches came out after day 2. Writing on the wall with glow in the dark paint "Sadgirl" they tried to paint over the vulgar words. Door wouldn't close all the way half the time. Locking mechanism wouldn't click half the time.

Smelly, deteriorated. I sure regret that stay, I just chose it because I was looking for a place close to another location I was going to.

We arrived at 11pm and had to wait for 15-20 for a staff to arrive to the front counter to check us in. We are a family of 4 with 2 children. The room only had 2 towels, 1 tiny bottle of shampoo and 1 tiny bar of soap. The room we got was supposedly a suite, but it was gross and run down. The carpets were sticky so we couldn't walk without our shoes. The tv didnt work so we just used our phones. The microwave didn't work so we had to use the one in the lobby at the next building over. The bathroom was dirty with black mildew and stains throughout the walls. There were scribbles on the walls and bathroom door and we killed a few roaches. We could look past most of these flaws as we were tired and just needed a place to rest in between travel, but rest is not what we got. The people down stairs were arguing from the parking lot to their room and were banging on the door that could be heard from our room. So at the end of the day just know what you're signing up for... you get what you pay for at Rodeway Inn & Suites South of Fiesta Park.

I had the worst experience at this motel. There was no hot water; thus, my shower last 2 minutes. The bed was very stiff and uncomfortable which was very hard to sleep on. There were live cockroaches crawling in the motel.

Unsatisfied third party customer

Elevator didn’t work we were on the third floor use stairs and I have knee pain from previous surgery and there was no AC on the first floor , they were letting the rooms for $100 to everyone except third party that’s not fair and giving them points

Rates are great place shows its age and due for an update but when your deposit was $50⁰⁰ and you have to go through your Bank to get it back can be a problem

This was the smelliest and dirtiest place I have ever stayed. There was tap on the door so the door did not close all the way and popped open in the middle of the night. Stains in carpet, sheets and blankets smelled terrible. Required $50 deposit but the crazy thing is there was nothing worth $50 we could have damaged. Shower was stained and old and cracking. Not even worth the cheap price we paid to stay there! You couldn’t pay me to go back!

when we got to the hotel after a 5 hour drive there system was not working. The area looks unsafe and empty. The mattress in the sofa bed was in terrible condition old and full of stains. The place needs some major remodeling

Affordable and Decent Stay

Rhodeway Inn and Suites was overall a decent hotel. Positives: - Room was spacious - Room Kitchen - Fridge was good - Breakfast was good - Mini Dining Table - Good A/C - Coffee Machine was good Negatives: - Room had quite a few stains on walls and door and in bathroom - Bathroom was very tiny - The light above the sink was broken but still working - Microwave was not working - Tv remote was not working for multi-function inputs - No phone in room

The hotel is close to the airport and it's in quiet place. The carpet needs replacement or to be cleaned. The room (103) is very dirty. There are roaches (big ones) in the room. I took the pictures and the staff was informed.

Oh and my sisters room also had ear rings in the lamp shade,

Old, outdated, dirty

This property hasn't been updated since it was built. It's not well cared for. The air conditioner was not on when I arrived and it took hours to cool the room. There were roaches. I saw 4 while I was there but there was evidence of a lot more. The linens were clean and the bed was comfortable but the rest of the room was scary. Old food on the phone. No alarm clock or USB ports for device charging. If you just need to crash and get some sleep for a few hours this would be an okay place to do that.

Friendly staff. Housekeeping is awesome, cheap and convenient location, bed's are cozy.

Safety catch for door was broken, gang graffiti on bathroom door frame, general bad state of repair, cracks in ceiling, broken cabinets, peeling paint in shower. Previous guest had written "called code compliance " on the bathroom door and it was still there.

DO NOT GO HERE.

Unfortunately, I have stayed here before. They hotel was re-named and it is STILL horrible. It was completely filthy, cigarette holes in bed linen (even though it was supposed to be a smoke free room), lights flickered, grass growing over sidewalks, stair rails that needed to be repainted and had graffiti on them, sidewalks cracked, dirty, and uneven, ice and vending machine out of order, and the list goes on. Moreover, the premises does NOT feel safe. When we were trying to locate our unit, some men were on the stairwell gazing and following us with their heads. When we confronted the manager, he simply said that he "knew them" and that they were 3 year residents. Lastly, our original assigned unit was worse than a homeless tent.

Did not feel safe in this property, it smelled weird and room was dirty and possibly had bed bugs and tub was not washed and had some discoloration. Would not reccomend

The overall look of the hotel was not the same as advertised on any website, the lobby of the building looks like it hasn’t had any renovations within the last decade, the interior of the lobby/reception area didn’t look any better, the room I was given was dirty, floor was stained, blankets and sheets were also stained, the room had a funny smell, the door to the hotel room had to be forced closed which is a serious safety concern, being in this hotel made me feel dirty. I had to check out immediately.

Nice room and comfortable bed. Very spacious. Needs some updates but if your looking for just a rest, shower and sleep place this is it. Kitchenette was nice. No countertop stove though.

Can’t really complain by virtue of how relatively cheap the rooms were but even at that, the management really needs to renovate the entire building and take proper care of the surrounding aesthetics

The worst experience of my life. The owners and mangers are all into the scam game. They scam every single customers credit cards. They will find and excuse to lock u out and kick u off the property. The worst customer service ever but mainly it’s the stealing from the customers.

The mangers are a scammers . They will take notes from there credit card machine. The first night as I check in they wouldn’t let me check in unless I gave them cash

There were bugs in the room. Little roaches crawling everywhere but the bed. The light fixture in the bathroom was falling apart. The shower head only barely functioned and there was no way to determine temperature as the control just spun 360. Dirty. Wax on the ledge and carpet from a previous candle. Bits of garbage a vacuum should've sucked up. I asked for another room because of the bugs and the answer was, "They're not going to be better on the first floor and that's all we have available." What??? Will be seeking a refund. Asked for $100 deposit which isn't abnormal but they're the ones who I should be getting a deposit from cause I would've kept it given the stay.

We went to turn on a lamp beside the bed we saw the bulb was broken and still in the lamp. When we turned on the light in the restroom all the cockroaches came out from everywhere! It was bad.

On the low end, but does the job and definitely spirit alirlines kind of place. Staff is professional and accommodating for the most part.

Walked into the room and there were roaches everywhere. The room smelled and it was dirty. The bathroom mirror had hand prints on the mirror you can tell they don’t get cleaned properly and or don’t get cleaned at all.

This property should be disinfected and sanitized. Rooms reek of mold and there’s bedbugs.

First off I wanted to give a zero but I couldn’t. Room what I thought was clean was not. This morning 10/29 my 2 yr old grandson was picking up his toys so we could leave. I noticed something white under the end table to the left of the bed so I put my hand under there thinking it was one of his toys but it was slimy so I pulled my hand out right away. So I picked up the end table to move it and I find a nasty used condom. I ran away to wash and sanitize my hands. What if my grandson saw that and grab it or even put it in his mouth?!?! If I was able to see something under the table so should the cleaning person. I will continue to post this in every social media site that way families with kids know to be careful. This could have turned out bad if my grandson would have touched that. I will be contacting the owner to request a refund. If I could leave pictures I would.
