When we arrive at the settings, we found out that the room assigned to us was given to another guess and therefore we were assigned to one that did not meet what we had reserved. Rodrigo, the property manager, called us to explain what had happen. He was so embarrassed and offered us a full refund. Since it was late at night, we expressed to him that there was no need to do so and to just find us a room in which our three kids, my wife and I would be able to fit and rest well. He was extremely kind and was doing his best to accommodate us. Even though he was not able to find us another room, he went above and beyond and was having frequent dialogues with us and wanted to compensate us for the trouble we had faced. The fact that he was communicating with us frequently, made us feel so comfortable that we would NOT hesitate to book this property once again. He ended up refunding us half but he did not need to. We were truly grateful for all his attentions. The room we stayed was truly beautiful and extremely clean. Thank you Rodrigo for being such an amazing host.

They property is set right on the beach which is beautiful but the property itself is in rough shape. My room was a decent size, beautiful view but is in rough shape. When I showed up, someone was in my room. Apparently I was moved to another room without any notice. I contacted the owner, he didn't respond. His name was Diego. He did respond to the people that were in my original room to pickup his cash only stay for the night I was suppose to be in the room.

Loved it great experience

The place is really clean. You will get cleaning daily. The buffet is good. We really enjoyed our stay.

I really enjoyed my stay! The hotel that condo Was located in is very nice and filled up with great staff members. The beach in front is to die for. I asked to adjust my reservation slightly and Rodero condos helped me a lot. The room was gorgeous with amazing view and very comfortable bed. Very recommend this property!

Great ocean views, especially for price. Condo itself was a bit run down, the air con in the living room did not work at all, also had some ants. Check in process was a mess, we booked same day, when got there, the guard at the gate at first told us we werent on the list and to contact the owner despite it being an Expedia rental. Eventually he was able to talk to the manager to let us in, and fortunately some one (maintenance?) showed up at the unit itself to give a key, but for a good while seemed like we were going to be stuck. Got the email w checkin instructions the day we checked out.

Nice area, room was open. Didn't like that our room was nothing like what was described. the ladder to the unexpected loft was very wobbly and there was no broom for when sand got in. There was an irobot that was not charged for use. We had to hunt down the woman for extra towels but she was very sweet and quuck to help us.

Honestly worst check in of my life was made sit in blistering 40 degree heat with two big bags outside. Security refused to let me wait in the lobby even though I showed them my booking reference my and corresponding email. Really poor service no point complaining though as standard of English at reception was little to none

I liked the pool and beach area . The staff was friendly and helpful .

Our condo was spacious and clean. It was in need of repairs, but being right on the ocean, that is not surprising. Our host, Diego, is a sweetheart and most helpful. He met us upon our arrival, showed us to the condo and answered any questions we had. The views were amazing and the entire property and grounds were very well kept.

The beachfront, the view is the reason why we booked.

The view was great and close to the beach. The door made noise with the wind had to put a cardboard wedge to stop it, there was no hot water in the shower.

Quiet Getaway

We stayed in the condo section, which means there is no front desk. Some people were angry in the reviews about the lack of service, but I was texted before our arrival with directions to get our keys and then someone came to greet us shortly after. If you know this ahead of time there’s no problem! The building is a bit older than the other hotels, but it has a beautiful Mexican style charm that we loved. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It’s location was perfect and on the quieter side of the strip. We enjoyed the restaurant downstairs and the staff was all incredibly friendly. Know that you’re not staying at a hotel with 24/7 room service or a front desk and you’ll be just fine. The hotel is peaceful and a perfect getaway.

We went down to the restaurant over the pool paided had breakfast and as we were leaving were questioned on whether we paided or not in front of everyone i told the young lady yes and pointed to the person that charged us she was sitting next to us eating breakfast as well .she said ok and we walked out . As we were getting comfortable on the beach directly in front of hotel 2 security guards approached us that we had walked out with out paying. I showed the guards my receipt and was still asked to go to the waiting restaurant staff as i approached them i told the lady you're the 1 that rang us up she said let me see your receipt as i had it to her she said im sorry i forgot . Everyone was staring at us as if we were criminals. People approached me and asked what we did . It was humiliating and , embarrassing .if there was an issue they should have asked us to wait before we walked out .for them to clear up they're mistake .. not cool at all

The room, staff and amenities were very nice. The only issue we had was how easily we heard people in the hallway. At 3:30 some people were talking and coming down the stairs right outside the unit, and it sounded as if they were tumbling all of their luggage down the stairs. It was so loud!

We had booked one of the condos at Solymar and arrived at the hotel in Cancun. We were ready to just check in after traveling for several hours. The man at the desk told us that he had no control over the condos, he just knew they were in the same building. We had no key and no one to talk to. This man absolutely refused to help in any way. After being on the phone with an Expedia agent for at least an hour and a half, they finally got ahold of the property manager, who actually knew the man at the desk. There was someone in the building with a key the entire time! Thankfully the agents I spoke to were so kind and helpful, but I was extremely frustrated and frankly, wanted to stay somewhere else. I was not impressed with the room at all. The only thing I enjoyed about this place was the location. I’m glad we only booked two days here before going to a resort in Isla Mujeres for the rest of the week.

The so called condo was up a flight of stairs that looked like it was going to an attic. Rooms were not labeles really hard to find and not technically part of the hotel so they would not help. Once in the room it was beautiful

Tiny condo hotel zone cancun

Large old building, fairly close to the airport. Good security at hotel entrance. Polite, helpful staff in lobby. A maze of small hallways and TINY, steep staircases to reach condo. Tiny condo. Great new windows, lagoon view. Powerful air conditioning. Clean. Minimalistic but nice updates on decor. Very comfortable bed. Fine TV. ONLY one small bath towel and hand towel for TWO people??!! Inconsistent hot/cold shower with “reversed” knobs. No place to hang any clothes. Fine beach but tons of seaweed in water and on the sand. Good price.

This place easily beats any all-inclusive, over-rated, over-priced resort. Communication is directly with the owner. Units are very well equipped, very spacious and very clean. Everything you need is here. I highly recommend this place.

Clogged drain

We had an overnight lay over. We needed an affordable room. Although we paid$100+ the room was not functional. The sink at the kitchenette and the toilet were clogged. The remote control of TV had no batteries. The AC cooling towers of the next door resort were too close to this room and they were too noisy. They ran non-stop day and night.

I'll choose a different hotel next time

Check-in was a mess. There are a LOT of steep steps to carry your luggage up, with no ramp. The bellman was LAZY & just watched us do it without offering to help. There were a lot of people (locals?) sitting on the steps, just hanging out. Construction inside & out. The front desk guy said we were at the wrong place & that we had to go to the parking lot to find some guy so we had to carry our luggage back down the steps. We finally located the guy & he lead us (back to the same place we just were!) to our room. He was very friendly & helpful. The location of some of the rooms is extremely confusing & there are a lot of narrow steps/hallways to navigate. The cleaning lady was still arranging our room since we were a bit early, but she was very sweet and efficient. The room is set up very oddly. There was a bed in front of the tv and a rather unstable ladder up to a loft where there is another mattress. There were 3 of us together, me and a couple. I'm extremely afraid of heights and the wife of the couple has a bad foot so we weren't sure what to do about sleeping arrangements. We ended up throwing the mattress down and just putting it on the floor by the bed so the room became pretty hard to navigate. The view from the room was gorgeous, the pool was directly underneath us and the beach was just steps down from the pool. The pool water was freezing and the music coming from the the pool bar was LOUD. The beach attendant was very rude. The free wifi worked well.

Good start !!

The location is ideal , right on the beach away from the craziness of the north beach . Diego was awesome on taking care of the wifi problem right away . The place needs a bit of attention and some things can be updated but overall a very pleasant stay .

We enjoyed staying at Rodero Condos by Solymar. The location is great: the hotel is located close to the beach, and it's residents have access to beach chairs and palapas free of charge. Also there is a bus stop in front of the hotel that allows you to get anywhere in Hotel zone for 0.75 USD (12 peso). This is a condo unit, but it's being cleaned every day by hotel staff. Diego was very helpful and flexible about late checkout.

The beach is awesome, the rest is not.

The room was not nice. There was a hole in the sheets provided. A plug did not work so we had to choose between tv and internet. The air conditioner leaked all over the floor. There were ants. The beach was amazing. If you can deal with a run down room, the beach may be worth it!

Nice condo very close to the beach

Our stay at Rodero Condos was nice just a few things I believe they can work on..the views were astonishing. However the amenities of the room not so well, in our first room we noticed we didn't have a trash can anywhere. The sheets had stains on them, I brought this up to the maid that cleaned our room and said shes tried to remove them but thinks it has to To with the washer machine. Very nice lady! Our lights and air conditioning went out in the first room, which caused us to move during the night. Diego the owner got us into a new room within 20 min. Can't complain it was a better view and bigger room. Big plus both rooms had a kitchen. Small problem with ants.

Nice views but terrible maintenance

We stayed at unit 3602. It has a fantastic oceanfront view. The space and layout are adequate for a family of 5-6. The issue is that this unit had been neglected by the owners and there are no signs of regular minimum maintenance.

Condominium Rental

It was very difficult to check in as the main hotel is not part of the condominium, no one knew who was in charge and to find the key. There is also NO phone in the room to call any one for help. No Room Service contact. There is no stove, only a burner and a microwave. There are was NO HOT WATER!! to take a shower. That was the worse part. The pool area had so many mosquitos! Got bitten several times in a short amount of time. Will not return there.

Was just a room....no services

Was not expecting just a rental room. If you are prepared to live just like at home....maybe ok. Noticed a big difference between rooms as i passed by open doors

From pictures and outside looks a cheap place, but inside looks very upscaled and very nicely decorated. Very nice staff and breakfast. Cant believe for $50 a night you get this kind of a nice hotel.

Outstanding service.

Diego the person who rented the condo to me had outstanding service he was attended to my request and any problems I had with the condo. He was at my disposal for any request or inquiry i had. Outstanding service would rent his condo again. I loved the view from the condo to the ocean front. My wife was delighted from the view. I would recomend this condo to my friends and family memeber.

Wrong address on Orbitz website. The experience was nothing short of a disaster. Notified Orbitz hopefully they fixed matter.

la limpieza del lugar, no hay cuidado en el condominio, estuvimos a punto de dejar e irnos a otro lugar, realmente daba asco, sobre todo la cortina del baño, que mejor ni abrirla, a punto del vomito, no da confianza la limpieza de sabanas, las toallas duras, al momento de llegar la persona aun seguía haciendo su trabajo de limpiar, no es nada de buen aspecto, deben de tener un espacio exclusivo para hacerlo, creemos que solo se preocupan por cobrar y no dan el mantenimiento al lugar, sin duda no se recomendaría para nada, lo único que le salva un poco es la vista, pero de ahí en fuera no hay manera,

estadia regular

televisión sin canales, no hubo limpieza en la habitación y había una cucaracha, la estadia fue de mala a regular en el cuarto, pero las instalaciones del hotel están bien y la playa increíble, asi como la atención fue un tanto impersonal, ya que al ser cuartos que no pertenecen al hotel no prestan toallas de playa, ni dieron información de con quien dirigirse ni en recepción y en WhatsApp tardaran en contestar

Lugar muy agradable, limpio y la atencion excelente. Lamentablemente la plaza estaba en bandera roja pero con las albercas pudimos pasar un muy buen fin de semana, tranquilo y agradable. Muy recomendable.

El hotel tiene una vista hermosa, buena ubicación en la zona hotelera cerca de varias plazas, haces check in y check out por tu cuenta y eso me encanto por la privacidad y el dueño del condominio muy amable. Está situado en las instalaciones de un hotel y eso te hace tener la tranquilidad de que las instalaciones tiene mantenimiento, cuentan con elevador y eso les da un plus. La playa está limpia. Regresaríamos
