When i checked in my kids were at Radium hotspring enjoying so i just wanted to check in and once kids and wife call me to pick them up i wanted everything settled. I saw a spider on our bed i taught its mountain and jungle so a spider got in some how but in the morning while we were about check out my son saw 1 on ceiling and 1 on the night table so there so scared and horrific

I was told there was cable, but it probably wouldn't work in our room. Indeed, the TV did not receive signal. Wifi was weak. Under the bed were dust balls and food remnants. The bathrrom baseboards and door were very dirty. The sink had troubles draining and needed to be unplugged. The curtain was coming off the rod and the room smelled bad. Both duvets had little blood stains.

I would stay here again. However, it is a very old motel, not a hotel. the view was great.

The property was adequate at best. Not as the property was advertised. And certainly not worth the price advertised. Staff checked us in with auto pilot responses. Efficient but not friendly. The accommodation was surface clean at best. Dirty mugs and dead flies found. This place is in definite need of some repairs and updating. Windows and sliding glass door was not able to lock. Walls were paper thin and you could hear everything from guests around you. The bed was a very poor quality and very lumpy. The view was the highlight due to location, but I would not return as a guest or recommend it.

The location of the property is excellent! Up high and able to see the town from the balcony. Affordable prices & dog friendly also.

Would not refund for a night not used. No one at front desk. Old rooms.

Majestic view!

Room is very clean. “Room with majestic view!” Ad said it right! I enjoyed the fresh air.

The room was clean enough. Unfortunate that the restaurant was unable to ensure any gluten -free options.

No microwave, no coffee maker, no room cleaning, stayed 4 days not once did we get new sheets or anything, but damnn that view was amazing.

Lacking comfort -- although everything is there! Noise insulation between units is extremely poor -- so prepare to share with your neighbours, However, you cannot beat the views -- spectacular!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the view from the room was fantastic—overlooking a beautiful landscape, which really added to the stay. The room itself was spacious and offered plenty of room to move around, which was nice for relaxing after a long day. However, the hotel shows its age. It’s definitely not a new property, and some areas could use updating. Additionally, cleanliness was a bit of an issue. While not terrible, I noticed some spots that could have been cleaner, and it gave the room a slightly neglected feel. Overall, if you’re looking for space and a great view, this hotel delivers, but don’t expect a modern or spotless experience.

Early check in not possible at this motel, we arrived at 3 and had to wait an hour to check in, other than that motel was great!

To start things off, the property is advertised from its former pristine condition. It’s its very run down little to no water pressure. Our toilet would barely flush because of it, it was even hard to rinse off your tooth brush. How ever the rooms were clean but a little bit older as expected. The property maintenance or lack there of appalled me. There is a large deck in the back of the building was covered in take out containers half eaten food every where it was absolutely gross. They also need restaurant that they advertise as open which no longer exists. Definitely a place I would not recommend or would ever stay again. Avoid at all costs!

We walked in survey the location it was dirty it was holes in the linen the linen was dirty there was no screen on the patio door there was no lock on the doors the bathroom is filthy it was bugs in the dresser drawers. The place was a mess. We were there 2 minutes to survey the room we turned around and went to front desk and they would not refund our money. I even sent an email to the manager he did not reply. Do not stay here.

Great views but room condition was a little poor.

Plumbing issues, no outlet covers. Lightbulbs not working, cooling ran by extension cords. No secure locks on the doors. Chinese restaurant now instead of citadella, The place has gone downhill under the new management.

All of the advertisements for this hotel, including the hotels own website, state that breakfast is included. In fact, there is no breakfast available at this hotel, at all. False Advertising.

Not clean from outside. Bad reception area. Very old style room with flies inside.

Looked it up online and it is nothing like it advertises. No restaurant for one and very old and run down.

Whilst some things didnt work eg tap over basin or curtains closing, for the price, this was a pleasant surprise. The room very spacious and view was magnificent.

no parking, no glasses in the room, walkway slanted, no safe.

We can hear other guests because the walls do not have sound barriers. The building is very old, smells old. Beds are not stable and uncomfortable. Linens are worn and pillows were all flat.

This property is an absolute dump , never mind the cleanliness , it was straight out of the 70s , beds were horrible , microwave propped up on a broken shelve , curtains weren’t even wide enough for the windows , air conditioner had a rag wrapped around it , dirt in every corner , blankets were like old sheets , parking was horrible , I called when I arrived to enquire about early check in and the man who answered the phone was rude and sounded like he was in a bar from the background noise and there was no one in the dive working till 4:30 ,I took lots of pictures because I’ve never been so ripped off on a hotel , only because there was no other place in town I would of never stayed there , in no way would I ever bring a family there , it would be ok for some drunk college students who got no where else to stay and 50 bucks in there pocket , I get there was an event happening in town so the prices were up a bit but this was an absolute rip off 260 bucks for a compleat dump , it shouldn’t even be advertised on Expedia , , it’s less then half a star,check out was just leave your key on the counter and no one working there , insanity , I also had friends in another room and there’s was the same dive

Place was terrible slept in my clothes as it looked like they hadn’t washed the comforter in years. Unfinished painting tape left on still on doors and exposed electrical all over the place. Not sure how it could pass an inspection for occupancy. Screens missing and garbage left everywhere

This property has an amazing view, however it is very run down and not so clean.

I feel that it gives you the wrong idea of how it was described view was beautiful but the rooms where run down there was no breakfast or restaurant that was open building itself needs a face lift or some kind of up keep and there was no person on property unless you had to call them on the phone

Was nice and quiet, had great views but not very modern amenities.

Bed too hard. Very old. Curtains were broken and hard to open. Toilet had problems flushing. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

There wasn't even any staff there, you just call them on the phone and pick a key out of the box. The whole place is filthy and infested with bugs. The only way up to the hotel is a dangerous road and it's a difficult walk into town.

Scenic view

Aged place for sure, the surface wiring additions make it look terrible, but all in all very clean and well cared for for it's age. Comfy beds, good internet, excellent staff. The resaurant and bar are closed with no sign of them opening soon. This was our biggest letdown and the reason we chose this location.

Lobby access, in next hotel was down fairly steep stairs. For the age of the property the room was average.

Unique location above the town but apalling conditions in and around the building. Very tired and rundown, unbelievable it still operates as an accommodation busines. Staff tried to promptly deal with issues , but very limited in what they could do. Woefully inadequate in every way. Do not stay at this place.

Property is old outdated. No bathroom fan. You have to leave the bathroom window open to vent out steam. Patio door handle was broken so you could not lock it. Chair on Patio was ready for dumpster not safe to sit on

A place to sleep- Don't expect anymore than that. The place probably needed a Full Reno 30 years ago and it still hasn’t happened. Go there for the price and with low expectations. I have never seen bath towels both so small and thin.

Had a late check-in (10:30 p.m.) no lights were on in or around property. Lobby to hotel was locked and dark. Had to call the hotel to let them know that we needed to check-in. Staff person came (felt as though we woke them up.) Had a rushed check-in, no info given about hotel, i.e. no wi-fi password, given a key for room however the key didn't work in the doorknob and had to fiddle to get it to finally open the door. Some lights inside did not work (bulbs burnt out,) bed had two very flat pillows and extra pillows did not have pillowcases on them, no tissue paper, towels were old and ratty. At check-out, brought key to drop off, and again, lobby was dark and no one there to check you out. Would never recommend this place.

Disappointed, as we have to request for new bed sheets. Looks like bed linens not change from previous guest. There is a blood stain. Bathtub is filthy.Door mat was not vaccumed lots of small dried leaves.

Broken down old and dated cockroaches in ac unit

This is obviously an old hotel,but the room was clean. Had a nice balcony with and amazing view of the mountain side. You could see the hot springs. We had a dead walk up and have a nice rest right below our balcony while we had our morning coffee.

This property needs an update or shut it down. Dirty, dated, extention cords and power bars everywhere, as there was not enough outlets. Garbage around the property. The tub needs handles for people to hold on to get out easier( the elderly). No face cloths either

We booked 2 rooms ..one was good but for other AC was not working and staff just offer standing fans for that..it was hot day so hard to sleep in night also it was not clean at all.

This property is in very poor condition and it appears that there has been little attempt to upgrade. The stairs are unsafe for older or limited guests Restaurant wasn't open at all during our three day stay I understand that the economy in this area is in decline, but a little maintenance at this location would go a long way.

Run down and not very clean. Air conditioner was very loud. Curtains did nothing to filter light. No coffee maker in room, coffee in lobby but no cups to drink from. Cold water flow was very weak in bathroom. No one in office upon arrival and reception was not welcoming. We are used to staying in budget hotels but this was pretty bad. Would not stay here again.

Rooms were clean but air condition was too small .especially in bedroom area not enough cooling and there was issue in bathroom as well .Water was coming either too hot and then all of the sudden too cold .

Staff there don’t care! We stayed for one night and the town lost power! It was terrible coz it was so hot!! So we called reception and they don’t even care. I understand that it’s not their fault but you can’t even feel any sympathy from them and didn’t do anything or at least provide us with a fan! I have a baby and a toddler with me!! I will never recommend this place!

Property and rooms are old and in terrible shape, the deck is sloping, they left the broken patio open, letting bugs in and the plus 35 heat in, didn’t turn AC on, the restaurant and bar were closed, didn’t say that when we booked it, $300 a night dump

When we got to our room after checking, we opened the door to find that it was already occupied.

The building needs to be renovated completely or replaced with new building and everything inside.

The rooms needed better cleaning. There were bugs that looked like ticks in the bathroom. The toilet ran a lot as well. Towels were very worn and the shower curtain had old hard water stains. The screen on the screen door to the balcony was ripped off. The ad said there was a restaurant and pub attached but we were told on arrival that it had been shut down years ago. The only good thing was the view.

We liked the size of the room and the views. The customer service was abysmal. The facility itself is in need of renovations and upgrades. It would also be nice if customers had success to the movie channels as well some of the basic cable networks.

The room was like under renovation and there’s a weird smell inside the room. We were not able to sleep well because of their noisy aircon. This should not be considered as 3 stars hotel, 1 star hotel probably because of the facilities condition. For $170 a night was too expensive for this lodge

Gorgeous view. Soft towels. Lovely smelling soap. Clean. Older property but we loved it far more than fancier places we have stayed.

ok for our needs

Very calm and quiet. Nice views and large rooms. Air-conditioning in unit, but heating will turn on when the room gets “too cold”.

We arrived late on Thursday and with no issues I was able to check in after hours.

Front desk was great, facility was NOT!

Outdated, not very clean, great view though from the balcony

The property description said that the front desk was open until 10pm, but this was not true. I received a phone call from the front desk staff at 8:30pm, asking when I'd be arriving because he wanted to go home. Had I known that it would be an inconvenience for me to stay at this hotel, I'd have chosen another. The view was beautiful, but I'm glad I paid less than $100 because it was all very bare bones. No plastic cups, no coffee maker, no ice bucket. Nowhere to get ice or vending. The restaurant was closed. If I'd known all of this stuff, I'd have chosen another place to stay. Fortunately, I got a good rate, but if it had been more than $100, I'd have been pretty irritated with the lack of amenities. I didn't feel welcome, or at all appreciated.

Million Dollar View of Garbage in the Ravine

The linens were clean and the bathroom and rooms were clean. The property is in horrible disrepair. Our room had just been painted and the whole entrance inside our door had masking tape hanging from the ceiling. The outside steps had been painted and there was masking tape hanging everywhere. The property spent more money on the “Million Dollar View” sign on the grounds than on maintenance. Our motel room door did not have half the safety latch so we couldn’t latch it. The sliding glass door did not lock. The bathroom window was a 70s era sliding window that did not lock. There was no bathroom fan so we had to use the window. There is no plug in in the bathroom so I had to dry my hair in the entrance. The TV channels did not include most of what was in the menu so we missed an NHL game. The WIFI continuously dropped off. There were no plugins by the bed. The restaurant has been closed for 4 years we were informed, even though all the signage is still up from the base of the access road to the hotel itself. Oh yeah, and that million dollar view—if you can ignore the garbage thrown off the grounds at the base of the hotel the mountains in the distance are superb.

No microwave or coffeemaker. Morning coffee provided was not fresh.

Pros & cons

Great last minute price in low season, amazing location. It appears that the place is being renovated. The room is spacious. The balcony door doesn't lock, but did have an amazing view of the mountain valley. The room could have been a bit cleaner, especially the toilet bowl. The main door needs a better lock, as it was difficult to both lock & unlock door. The ad mentions a restaurant & bar, but they were also being renovated. Overall, I am happy with my experience, but I also don't need 5 star service. It met my needs.

It is an old property the floors were renovated but all the walls were old. There was limited wall plus for charging phones. Everything was run with extesion cords including the a/c. There was no thermostat that we saw so the baseboard heaters had to be turned off and on beside each one. In general it wasnt bad and the view was wondeful. This property could use a big renovation and the addition of something for kids would be nice aswell.

Not very comfortable,deadbolt didn’t work or sliding door screen or lock work.Very dated which can be quant if up kept.Very loud people upstairs,heard a lot.Has a beautiful view but needs a lot of work.We will not be back but affordable.Towels were not all towels some where rags and shampoo and conditioner not sealed and obviously refilled. I wish the new owner luck because there is a lot of potential but will need a big investment.Hope no corners cut.

Property was rustic and miminal. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.View from balcony is lovely. However I choose this place because the website indicates a restaurant which was not open and has not been for some time. The wifi wouldn't stay connected. Was alright as I was there only to sleep.

Coffee was freezing cold at 10 am at front desk, rooms doesn’t have any coffee machine or coffee at all. Bugs were on the floor, balcony door can’t be locked. No night locks. Safety is less. No heating all night, in-fact thermostat button was broken. Price was fine and view is good these are two good things. According to the price I won’t complain much but basic things were missing so, I won’t be staying back. I did two stays here but if you are just looking to stop for a night and leave right away and price is cheap that time, then it’s ok otherwise no go.

I booked this particular place because on google it showed picture of the room and the view. I picked this place because it also said that it had a restaurant and lounge and breakfast. The room was nice and the restaurant has been closed for a while and the breakfast comes in a bag.

I checked in and got a call 3 hours later to ask if I was going to check in. It wasn’t a big deal until I realized I was also double charged. The hotel is tired, in pretty rough shape and could use a deep clean and updates.

We need a compensation!!!! We booked for 3 rooms with free breakfast.. when we where checking in by 3:30 pm there’s a number to call for the receptionist to come and we waited 30 minutes… the room booked he said was only 2!!! And there’s no breakfast.. he said they removed the free breakfast on the 25th of March! We were not inform!! The room is dirty!! Dusty! Smelly! Microwave is not working! TV is not working!! Blower is not working!!! My husband needs to to dusting.. (lampshade, headboard, tables, counter tops) beddings seems not changed! We can’t sleep! the curtain rods on the other rooms was broken… bed has hairs... no box tissue in all washrooms and it’s dirty too!! . the microwave positioned unsafe! It’s on top of the fridge, unevenly placed! It’s unhealthy rooms for the person with asthma because of dust! I won’t recommend this property!
