Bunkies are basic but nice and cozy.
It was an amazing experience in nature. Thank you!
Really amazing.
Nothing fancy here but exactly what they advertise. On a motorcycle trip and didn’t want to pack a tent or pay $300 for a place to rest for the night. I would definitely stay again.
The bunkies were nice little shacks. Nothing special but it a good.
We had a fantastic evening at the property! We were driving home from Vancouver and needed an affordable option to break up the trip home. I was excited when I found Rocky Mountain Bunkies. Upon arrival we were greeted and welcomed. We cooked up some burgers on the provided BBQs. The kitchen had everything we needed. Spent some time playing some of the games including scrabble and outdoor large scale checkers. All of the staff were super helpful and made us feel at home, especially the managers. We were informed that there was a last minute cancellation so we were upgraded to one of the cabins which had all the amenities. We were able to borrow DVDs for free from the office and enjoyed a couple movies in the extremely comfortable bed. Slept like a dream and checked out right before 11 but they do have late checkout for a small fee. We will most definitely be back in the future and plan to bring our friends. Thank you to the staff for the hospitality!
I had a great stay, thanks for having me. The Bunkie was a bit dark with candle light, so you may want to bring a headlamp.
Great place. Nice cabins at cheap rate and the bunkhouse’s are super cool! Also great rate
Uninhabitable
Mosquitoes infested and completely inhabitable… I just left
Mountain View
It was a unique experience to be sleeping in a cabin/camp site but will all the basic amenities of a hotel room.
It’s great for what it is. It’s no Ritz-Carlton, but the experience was amazing. I particularly enjoyed the bonfire at night.
Like the rustic charm. Just the way it should be out in the trees. 🙂
Great little place!
Loved our stay in the bunkies. What a fun experience for us! We have already recommended them to friends!
Sleep in the nature
Amazing location. Cozy and nature
The cabin was very cute and definitely was exactly what we were expecting! There are the basic essentials and that was it (we had candles lit for light sort of thing). They did provide blankets and a pillow which was a bonus! They also provided breakfast in the morning which was decent. Overall; would definitely recommend!
Awesome place to stay. Cute & cozy. Please know ahead of time that they have no wifi, running water or electricity.
Great hidden gem for a budget traveller
The bunkie was a sweet, clean little room with two single beds, mosquito nets, bedding, drinking water, candles, flashlights, and towels. The windows had screening and the door was secure. Very comfortable and well designed. The hosts were super sweet and left us great instructions for our late arrival. There was a yummy breakfast in the morning and we found the property had great views. We missed the nightly fire due to a fire ban, but we still had the provided s’mores 😊. Overall a great value and a hidden gem for adventurous budget travelers!
Loved it!
The staff were super helpful. The activities there are really cool and unique. Everyone there was super chill and down to earth.
Great experience!
Great short stay! Wonderful hosts and the location and views are breathtaking. The communal kitchen and fire pit are a great place to hang out and meet new people. The viewpoint is unreal. Close enough to Golden for amenities and other adventures. The resort is perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature. *If you're staying in a bunkie, bring your own hand soap and water as there is none provided for the outhouse but everything else you need is provided, including bear and bug spray which was a very nice surprise and much appreciated!

Very fun place to stay. We did it at the end of a week long trip doing lots of camping and it was great to not have to set up the tent and use a real bed. The bunkies are definitely more just for sleeping but the common areas are great to hang out in. I would have given 5 stars but visitors should be aware there are two off leash dogs on the property if they’re bringing their pet. One of the dogs can be quite territorial. It came up to ours who was on leash and attempted to assert itself. The other one is a puppy who would not leave our on leash dog alone to the point that our dog started to get agitated. When I suggested they put their animals on leash, they put them in the office until “their staff had to eat” and then let them out again. To walk from the common kitchen hut to our bunky with our dog (on leash) I had to let their staff know so they could go check for the dogs.
