The hotel was clean and help was very nice. The only draw back is there is no one on staff during the night. If you need anything you have to call a number.

Short stay, didn't do much except sleep. Given that, the bed was very comfortable and the room was updated and clean.

Quick check in, room nice.

I liked the cleanliness of the room and front desk service was excellent. My only concern although not major is the lack of lighting in the room. Great place though!

Overall this stay was fine for the room price. My concerns were 1. There was a mouse in our room that was caught in a glue trap that was taken out of room by mgt.. 2. On one of the nights, there were people returning from bars in the hallway next to our room. Loudly talking. Knocking on doors loudly. This was at like 2AM. There was no attendant at the front desk past 8pm. to contact. Mgt. did leave a number to call after hours at front desk, but I wasn't going to walk down to front desk to get number at 2AM.. Would of been nice to be able to readily call mgt. to tell these people to quiet down. Maybe leave that "after hours number" in ea. individual room vs. only at the front desk.

Like: I was able to reserve my room online thru Expedia. Dislike: It was kind of expensive.

It was ok

Second time staying. Reasonable priced for the area. Dog friendly. Both times were very noisy stays (pipes, outside noise, heat, etc). Shower needed work as it it didn’t have full pressure. Bed was way better than last time. Might be because we didn’t have a dog accepted room?

Easy check in we arrived really late and the called and put our keys in a lock box with the paper work that had to be sighed very nice room i will stay here again when coming through

The attendant at the front desk (I believe her name was Linette) was very friendly and patient with us because we didn't check in until after 9:30 PM. Thank you!

The front desk lady was Lynette, and she was very friendly and helpful.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds.

Clean room and facility. Good rates, beds and updated bathroom… however the petite toilet was not comfortable for a grown male. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast was acceptable. I’d stay here again.

Very nice place to stay!

Probably a good place for fishermen and hunters. Not the kind of place for a casual traveler or a tourist style vacation. Small bathroom, only one night stand with no closet in a really large room. Continental breakfast a frozen breakfast sandwich, cereal, yogurt, fruit and some muffins.

It’s a nice and quiet place to stay. The hotel is clean.

The property was very well kept up and clean.

It was really noisy last night, doors slamming and we could hear the people upstairs walking and every word they said. Did not get much sleep 😔

Newly renovated room

There were no chairs in the room and very limited ability to hang cloths or towels up. Consequently everything had to go on the floor. The rooms were big enough to accomodate chairs and additional hanger space and a rack for a suitcase.

The Walleye Inn is a decent value for the money. No frills or breakfast but the room was nice. The room had just the basics but was nice, clean and comfortable. The bed was nice and comfortable to sleep in. Staff was very nice and attentive.

It was quiet and clean. Seems they are updating with new flooring, paint and new bed (very comfortable) and dresser/countertop. But, there were no chairs in the room and only one bedside table for a king bed.

No chair in room. Fridge did not work - staff was aware of the issue but had not gotten to it.

Bait and switch

Booked hotel room for $99 when we checked in the clerk told us that they don’t honor 3rd party pricing and that our room instead would be $138/ night. Came as a shock to us. It was a noisy room with heavy traffic, no insulation, and a noisy fridge for the price.

Pleasant

The rooms are undergoing construction with exposed drywall and hanging electrical outlets. The TV did not work and my door was unlocked and open when I arrived.

One night stay. Very nice. Will stay here again when in area.

If you are going to rent out rooms,they should be completely ready. The room was recently sheetrocked, but not taped, mudded or painted. Some outlets were still not attached to the walls.

We were told we might have been scammed upon arrival. Lady said it can take a few hours for the system to register our booking and wouldn’t give us our room incase we got scammed on the site. So we had to find some where else to sleep

The staff at this hotel were excellent and especially welcoming.

Reasonably priced. Clean. Weather was unseasonably cold. Heat was turned off for summer. Spent a cold night. Desk clerk went out of his way to help us. Very special person.

Good place for a short stay

This is fine if all you need is a place to spend the night. The clerks were friendly, the breakfast was OK, and the room was adequate. No gym, no pool, no frills, but OK for an overnight stay. The tub drained very slowly--that was the only issue with the room.

Convenient place. Great staff. Beds should probably get swapped out, mine was pretty uncomfortable and hard.

Tiny room. Uncomfortable old old bed. Tiny TV with limited channels. Noisy hallways. Breakfast was terrible and completely in the dark. No staff on duty to help until 8:30. No one to help check out or give keys to as we were leaving.

Nice place to stay for if just needing a nice place to sleep. Room was clean and big. Note” the property charges your card as soon as you book. It isn’t supposed to charge you until your stay.” I cancelled a night and my card was charged already so I’m waiting for a refund.

It would have been great to perhaps stay at the property, unfortunately, the weather dictated a change in plans. Couldn’t make it Thursday night and when I called to inquire about moving the stay one day to the right, was told in no uncertain terms that it was impossible, even though Expedia showed available. So no, I don’t think I will be staying here in the future nor recommending it.

bed alittle hard pillows way too thin

No staff on duty from 8pm to 8am.No continental breakfast. However, it's understandable in today's climate of people unwilling to work. I have no issue with the hotel and it's services and plan to stay there again.

The property was clean, staff was very friendly, not a 5 star but , served the purpose of having a bed to sleep in, did not care for the pillows, but minor.

Simple, safe, quiet, convenient.

The girl who checked us in was so nice and attentive. I like the new bedding and shower curtain. Too bad they don’t have the staff to be open 24/7. I know they are losing business because of that.Will stay again.

Our first room smelled like fish. Second smelled like campfire. If for some reason you saty more than 1 night no maid services. They only have staff from 8 am to 8 pm. It is definitely a man camp style.

The carpet was old and musky and room was moldy smelling bothered my sinuses.

I found a bug crawling on my suitcase tues. morninging, Refrigerator was noisy, the bed wasn’t real comfortable, and wed morning the breakfast buffet wasn’t ready by 6am. We didn’t go up to Baudette to stay in a motel, so all in all it was a good trip

Nice place to stay

Two semi trucks ran idle in the back of motel, next to our room.

They didn’t give us the right beds we ordered. So 2 had to sleep on a full bed.

It was what it was.

Truly no frills, room seemed to be clean upon arrival, however we did find empty an alcohol bottle under the edge of the bed, room wasn’t vacuumed well, we had no heat and had to go get a heater to warm the room. Toilet was shot and in a tight place, tv was turned all the way up and you could barely hear it. Too many rules. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was ok.

Clean rooms , lots of parking, well lit lot with electric plug ins for battery charging. Basic breakfast nothing fancy.

It was clean and close to the fishing.

There is nothing about this property that i would recommend to anyone. Beds are horrible, run and building stinks, should have just gotten a refund and went somewhere else.

The property was adequate but needs to be updated. Everything has an old 80s feel to it. Also, the breakfast was pretty bad. The main reason I stayed there is because of its name, Walleye Inn since I was on a fishing trip. The next time to that area, I will likely stay somewhere else. Not terrible, just seemed like it should’ve been nicer for what I paid.

In baudette, Mn for our daughters wedding

We were in town for our daughter's wedding with Canada in the back ground a stone throw away... It was an ok stay, too much money for what we got, cheaper motels and hotels in the same town same block... $55.65 per night was the cheapest in town Couldn't afford the 125.00 here when it was ships to be $88.00 but in a pinch i would refer friends and family as i did, my dad stayed here 3 nights. And him and his guest were happy with their room. So i did refer this to others as well.

Quiet, clean, comfortable spot in Northern Minnesota

The room was too expensive. Breakfast was not until 7 which is at least an hour too late. I was required to pre pay which is inconvenient.

not having a eating in the motel

Kinda creepy. Hotel staff? Just some front desk staff always on the phone booking other properties apparently because we appeared to be the only guests. An staff was way to busy on the phone to interact with us. They just gave us our keys, pushed some paperwork at us all while maintaining a phone conversation with someone obviously booking another property. Just weird.

Remodel needed.

I made a reservation, got a confirmation and when we arrived, there was no room. Bad Bad Bad

It was easy to find, convenient off the road.

they understood car trouble and let us check in at 1;30 am i would not stay there again the place was not clean and it smelled like a dead animal the water came from the sink and tub dirty gray looking the room has no over head light so you have to feel your way to the lamp on the other side of the room. Then to top it all off I was told there was no smoking on the property so I leave to have a smoke and come back to see the front desk clerk walk out and have a smoke less than a foot from the door I also asked for 2 extra pillows and got only one got only one towel and 2 wash cloths there were two of us in the room and it is not on the river like it sounds its 11 miles from the river and carries the same name as resort on the river where i thought we were staying very disappointing stay I left early sunday morning could not take the smell anymore

Clean but bed was terrible and pillows were very thin..not a good experience at all.
