Amazing staff, fun hotel
The staff is the best part about the Sante Fe experience. Always helpful and cheerful !
It was okay
I will not be returning despite the property being immaculate. It’s super clean, wonderfully taken care of, with huge swimming pools. Watch which villa you’re being put on. Some of them surround laud everyday party area. Mine had balcony facing super loud air conditioner from neighboring property. I had to keep balcony door closed because the sound was deafening. This property has several “restaurants” and most of them are less than mediocre. I was truly disappointed with a food, it was just blah. All restaurants pretends to be fancy but its a buffet. Restaurant imitating American food are a joke. The food looks even dryer than the one in gas stations. They’re a bunch of flies surrounding the meats. Sushi is a joke. the steakhouse was the worst. The food we’ve ordered came so dry, burned and stuck to the delivery pan. Steak reminded more beef jerky than actual steak. It was an awful experience that left me with indigestion. They already have all the ingredients, why not hire someone who can cook? With quite a few bars on premises you still cant get a good drink. Everything is mass-produced. Margaritas and piña colada’s are just cup of nasty pre-mixed fluid blended with ice. It seems that the hope that you will be too drunk to not that the food and drinks are awful. All inclusive can be yummy. Not this one. Top tip: Bring your own stainless steel cup for drinks to avoid cold sores from poorly washed cups. It happened to me. Not fun.
Was a good day. Food was only a 6-7 out of 10 though and also the fact that it was secluded in a part of san Lucas that lacks infrastructure. When you get to the actual resort it’s huge and splendid although
The best resort on the beachfront.
Really Nice Hotel to stay. No need to go off the property at all.
Everything was amazing. Waterpark is closed on Thursdays, they should tell you that. Steakhouse only serves the steak rare/blue, no well done as requested
Best all inclusive resort I’ve been too! Great food, pools, entertainment and parties! Would definitely come back and would recommend
This hotel is amazing, we spent 3 days and it was such a great experience
Beautiful place
Very low budget property. No basic toiletries in bathroom. Not so child friendly.
Overall great experience for all ages this property is more for young adults. Lots of activities and parties. They also had great shows for kids. Beach is amazing, Infinity pool is outstanding, restaurants and food is great (would have loved if they had more food options), had good drinks options in multiple bars. Only concern I had there was that they didn’t have a life guard and first aid kit available when my kid got hurt in the pool. It took them 20 mins to get a band aid. Overall will certainly recommend. Total value for money!
Our entire stay was amazing! The accommodations, parties and amenities were beyond expectations for the price.
Great experience
All good except dress code for dining was poor. Had swim suits, men with no shirts, bare feet and alot of smokers all over with cigerates buts laying around.
This resort is beautiful, clean, and extremely efficient. The staff is friendly, attentive and very helpful. Loved our time here.
1st time I stayed at Riu Palace about 10 years ago for a wedding I was in. Food was not good. Venue was pretty. 2nd time stayed at Riu Santa Fe February 2024 and food was still mediocre, but customer service was good. The pool parties were fun and remind me of Vegas style pool parties. This time we visited, it appeared that food was better. Liquor options, not so great every time we have been here. Also, the cups they wash and reuse at the bars still taste like detergent. My husband got injured at the waterpark when he went with the kids. The seams in the slides hurt if not wearing a shirt and him and several other guests (a sweet little girl included) had their feet slam into the concrete of the pools when shot out of the slides and toilet bowl. His heels are bruised and purple. Wish there was a sign that said lift your feet when getting catapulted out of the slide. Didn’t go to pool parties or club this time because we had our 12 year old and 14 year old and I’m 7 months pregnant. Loved that the front desk accommodated my early request for floor level rooms as there were no elevators in our last building we stayed in. I also loved the organized volleyball games in the pool and sand. Wish it lasted longer than an hour as several people loved playing. The night entertainment on the main stage was lackluster. My husband and I are both 38 years old. Loved how diverse the guests are in age demographics. Lots of families, young partiers, older partiers, old folks. Huge resort.
Great experience Great customer service
Beautifully maintained property, rooms were wonderful and food was decent. Lots of dining options to try and find your favorite. Lots of pools to choose from: swim up bars, close to food, waterslides, lots of lounge chairs so don’t have to save spots. Overall a great experience!!
Love the property and amenities at this hotel. Great food options. Didn't like the transportation options
We loved almost everything about this place but the echoes in the hallways that penetrated into the room & the cheap tequila etc. We would stay here again.
Good food Great service
Had a great time! The resort has a balance of people of all ages and there are pool and bar areas for people who want to party or people who want to relax. Lots of options for food and shows. Staff were accommodating and kind
Property had everything!
My boyfriend and I had a great time. Though be cautious of that advertised room credit. It’s not actually a credit but rather just “discounts”
I enjoyed the property, there were several things going on that kept myself and my significant other entertained. The food at the buffet wasn’t the best but it was ok. Try the other restaurants on the property. The only thing was, there is no room service or you can’t take the food to go. The staff were very friendly and nice.
Great resort
Don’t go spring break time, so many college kids smh. Other than that it was great!
Cool
Great service and variety of events. They sure know how to throw a party!
Hotel was amazing with how they treated there people there, food was good and entertainment
Great service, staff was friendly and accommodate our group in same building
.
If you like staying on the resort, plenty of pools. Food lacked diversity.
aii was good
Great staff , very clean and great vibes.
Good was gross and staff was not friendly. They looked miserable barely got a good morning or hello. And when I checked out, they didn’t even care to ask how much it was
Everything
we had a great time in this resort
clean, great food. nice big room
Great experience, great price. No complaints
Resort was clean and staff was friendly.
Beautiful resort with spacious nice rooms. Lots of dining options with buffet or specialty restaurants that do not require a reservation. Resort is expansive so be prepared for lots of walking. The grounds and landscaping are gorgeous and lots of things to do during the day and evening.
Had a great time it was a lot to do
Good place, clean and a lot to do, the food was not very good, but lots of options
Fun environment!!
Staff and food were amazing!! Thank you Conny for the great service for breakfast and lunch near Villa 7. Our second time we have been there and looking forward to the 3rd !!!
Our air conditioning went out and we reported it to the front desk (twice) and nothing was done to fix it or were we even given an explanation or an estimated time for it to be fixed, so we went for 2 days before we left with no explanation. We are two older adults, but were place in the building next to the "Riu Party" spot. So there was loud music at all hours of the day and vomit in the hallways of our building. The house keeping staff was very friendly and we felt sorry for them that they had to keep cleaning it up since the minors and party goers at the "Riu Party" were obviously being over served.
Felt safe
Very pleasant Resort and stay! Everything was amazing!!! I would definitely book again!
We really enjoyed our stay at RIU, so many options and probably the best resort food we have had. The best part was no reservations to eat at restaurants. This place is good for partying or families. Would definitely come back
We arrived during spring break and it was super busy when checking in and checking out. They had limited staff members to help, so it took a while to check in and check out. The hotel was very noisy and loud at nighttime as college kids and teenagers would return to their room very late at night while making loud noises in the hallway while drinking. This was an unpleasant experience for someone traveling with family and trying to get rest at night. The food was good. There was a lot of walking around to get to your room. Overall, good experience but wouldn’t recommend it to families with children and those who are not into partying late at night and definitely don’t recommend coming here during holidays and school break as it gets packed.
Our family had a lovely week at this property. The food was very good, so important when not everyone likes to eat the same thing. Good vegetarian options. On-site gym well equipped, clean. Must give a highlight to Ari, the RIU fitness instructor. She ran many different types of classes and I thoroughly enjoyed them all. We loved the nightly entertainment in the piazza, especially the live music. Would be happy to return to this property.
Food was excellent
Food options
Room service needs to be added.. the club should be open later. The steak house was awful..entertainment needs to be added. The band was great most nights, but playing time was way too short. Zero entertainment resort wide on Wednesdays is ridiculous. The shows are awful and there is no pool entertainment like most resorts have in Cancun
The hotel environment , food and entertainment were good. Staff were friendly. Just the room wasn’t comfortable. They gave us a room with a big king size bed for family of 4. It was like two twins size mattress were beside each other, I have a 16th and 8 year old and it was too uncomfortable for us
Lots of fun
Loved the large pools overlooking the beach. Great dining options.
Was awesome but the food could be better
Being on my anniversary the food was not very good 😕 the stake house was good but everything else was not. I go on these vacations to have great quality food. I have paid less for better quantity. I hope this helps 🙏
Clean and the staff were all amazing
Good
Great property, went on a solo trip. That being said safety was a concern, felt safe the whole time, the greyline shuttle from the airport was perfect and communicated for my end of trip lovely. I didn’t leave the resort, so I have nothing to say safety wise on that. The buffet wasn’t anything great, there were a lot of options though. Didn’t really have to worry about getting a pool side chair (probably a perk of needing only one). The drinks were okay, the food by the pool side bar was probably the best, I only ate and drank the all inclusive things. There was a wide range of young spring breakers and mix of families, maybe it was my timing but it wasn’t super obnoxious. I was in villa 9, apparently is notoriously the party area. A little bit of a walk to it but honestly, wasn’t a bad walk. The noise in the villas on a Saturday night wasn’t great in my villa, but again..spring break. However, every other night was quiet. Not resort related…wear loads of sun screen and take shade often. I am not white and was too confident with only sun screen and was in the pool and sun for hours. That was a mistake to not take a break. So, learn from my ignorance. The other thing I would have liked with the rooms are the tvs. I know you don’t go to Cabo to stay in your room, but downtime. There’s no apps to link your Netflix or anything and you can’t mirror your phone either. So maybe bring a laptop or something if you want to continue your shows or movies.
Overall good. Did not like that we had to go outside the property to meet an uber with a bunch of guys standing outside the gate.
Lots of variety of dining options but food was of average quality
It was spring break filled with college kids that were very respectful. Took my 71 and 74 year old mom and aunt. They had a blast with us. Water taxis at the beach to go to marina area, taxi to town as well is about 15-20 USD.
The property was great, house cleaning did an excellent job. Beach area was nice but I wish the pedlers couldnt approach the pool. Steak restaurant is not worth the wait for the steak but their buffet is amazing. Lots of options and the staff is friendly.
We absolutely loved Riu Santa Fe and the gorgeous Cabo area. A few things that took the star rating down was the very hard beds in the rooms, many machines in the fitness center weren’t working or had missing parts, and the music was so loud on the 2 dance party nights that we couldn’t sleep. Overall I would highly recommend despite the few negatives!
Staff was wonderful , property was great. We didn’t have to leave the resort. So much to do on the property.
It’s a great resort for families 💯
Front desk lack training customer service all encounters were rude service not willing to help out
Everyone is so friendly. Food was delicious. Just dont go during spring break, its loud.
Not happy
The workers was so disrespectful the food was horrendous and the customer services was so bad … I’m personally disappointed and will not be coming back to no Riu… I spend my money to be treated so badly… worst vacation ever very unhappy
Stunning view, good food, great environment .
Awesome resort
The staff was amazing, the food and the ambiance
Our family including our two sons (age 11, 7) had a great time. Lots of meal options, good service, entertainment and great pool options.
Fun and lots to do for all ages! Very clean and great customer service .
Great hotel, very large so be prepared to walk haha, many pool and restaurant options that were all amazing, drinks were great for all inclusive and transportation was easy to navigate! It was during Spring Break so VERY popular for college students during that time.
The view from the pool is amazing!
Great stay. Food was a little questionable but the service and bar was very excellent. Safe place as well as there is a gate that will not let anyone without a wristband in which is good.
Enjoyed my stay, I would say do not go at spring break if you’re looking for a laid back vacation. Even when the breakers were gone, there are still a lot of loud people, difficult to sleep, other than that it was beautiful!
Property is very clean and well taken care of. Food and drinks were okay.
The hotel over all is good. People are nice and very welcoming. We forgot the sunglasses in our room and the staff bring it to us. The food was fresh. A little bit noisy due to riu party club. The beach and beach view is fabulous. Highly recommend. We definitely will come back.
Plenty of food and beverage options for families.
Great place, has something for every one. Will be back.
Close to strip
This place is terrible
I love it nothing to complain
Great place to stay for a long weekend. Definitely the party spot, lots of entertainment.
Property was clean, staff are friendly and helpful
The best place we have been in, with delicious food all day long
It is large and has a lot of food & drink options. The entertainment was good. Susanna in the sports bar was amazing.
Overall no complaints.
Great place for the price.
They gave us a room and it was very dirty, mold all over the showers doors. We talked to Abby from front desk, she was super rude.!! She said they were fully booked, they sent us back to same room. We went back again on the second day. I told them that we can’t stand the smell ! finally two days later they moved us to a very nice room in front of the pool, which we loved. The ladies from sport bar were AMAZING! Diana, Susana and Monica. GRACIAS!! Waitress, from La Misión, steakhouse and other restaurants were EXCELLENT! Great shows! We were pretty upset at the beginning but then when they move us to a different room, we were so happy and started enjoying our trip!! I do recommend this place is great for a fun time, but first must check out the room.
Had a great time. Resort was a bit crowded but at spring break it’s understandable. Everything went smoothly and had no issues. Place is kept very clean and food is pretty decent as well. Service was great. If you’re looking for a good trip with your friends, this does the trick
