Great party place.

This is my 3rd stay at this resort and as usual, i had a great stsy. Friendly staff, good food and clean rooms. I'll be back!

It was our first time at an all-inclusive resort and we really enjoyed that. Shout out to Michelle. Our bartender was amazing.

I liked the cleanliness and friendly staff. I didn’t like that it was so close to the airport and planes flying over the pool every 10 minutes or less. And the food options were limited. Didn’t like the 24/7 snack bar the hotdogs and hamburgers tasted fake!

The Steakhouse and Italian restaurant were booked the entire time we were there. Our room was not ready so they gave us a King size room with an extra bed, it was not ideal for two adults that like their space.

Everything was excellent . The selection at Ackerman Buffet was exceptional good. I only had issue with how the food apps to other restaurants wasn’t user friendly .

All the amenities that were offer online but not at the resort like it said it would be.

They need to improve timings around meal times. They end too quickly! Not the timings advertised. Snack options are quite limited too.

I would not be staying there again I came to party and security knocked on my door at 7:34pm saying someone complained about the music like what? It’s Friday nite like shouldn’t you be getting rdy for dinner or to get out of your room anyway thy cater to ppl of pale skin even though we payed the same money it wasn’t the palace but I stayed an extra day payed more money and still got treated like a slave definitely not coming back to Riu reggae.

Let me start by saying Riu Reggae was phenomenal! Excited my expectations. Did everything at the Resort and more outside! The entertainment from Friday-Monday was great. Definitely enjoyed all that it had to offer. I would truly say the only thing which was minor was the dress code required to eat at most restaurants, considering it’s a adults only beach resort I would like to not have to wear full clothes to eat! But again minor and had an amazing time! Will go back!

The food at the buffet could be a little better.

Close to other resorts and very close to the airport. The resort offered many activities as well as having help to book excursions.

I liked everything except the parking lot was a distance away from hotel, and you are given a hard time to drive into the hotel to park in front in case you forget something.

It was our first time at Riu Reggae and it was amazing! Christina was great at the buffet.

The staff is excellent and friendly. If you treat them well, you will get the same in return. We always make friends with staff. The food is great, large variety, and available for long hours

Amazing for someone even traveling alone

Average all inclusive, required too much phone use for amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed. In room had Limited/No flexibility for those who don’t drink the offered alcohol.

I love everything

The property was cool. But the workers were super nice and there was always something to do. The parties were great the club music was great this is the best RIU location !

Room needed repairs. Ceiling was leaking. Couldn't get another room because the hotel was full. I added a guest to my room and used my Amex to pay for it. They asked if I wanted to pay in USD or JMD. I told them JMD. Card was swiped, I signed and paid. Left the resort to visit family, upon my return I couldnt get into my room, because the key wasnt working. I went to the front desk, they told me they locked me out because they weren't allowed to charge a Amex card using JMD. I couldnt believe how unprofessional that was. I did nothing wrong. They couldve sent a email, called my room or left a note under my door asking me to stop at the front desk. No apology offered

I loved everything about staying here. The staff was wonderful and treated me well! Although the food was mid and the drinks didn’t do anything to me rum just isn’t my thing I’m a tequila type of girl 😂 I had to buy Hennessy and it put the icing on my cake I was tore up for the rest of the weekend! But the staff was definitely great. My favorite food spot was the jerk chicken stand on the beach the buffets was mid. (Riu Montego Bay has better food and probably where I will be staying at next time or the Riu palace)

Fun party hotel. Rooms are basic but clean. Staff were friendly and food was ok. I only went to buffet but it was standard all-inclusive food. I’d recommend if a party atmosphere is what you are looking for.

At first I was very disappointed lobby is unimpressive and check in person was very unfriendly. Reserved a basic room and it was less than basic. Rooms need updating and even though it was a basic room I did not expect to overlook a huge cement roof extending outside my patio. Request for different view was denied. So that all was disappointing. So let’s get to the good stuff The rest of the staff was very pleasant and helpful! Wonderful service and the resort was spotless! Pools were smaller than I had thought but it was nice that we could share the amenities of RIU montego Bay

Riu was good for partying but food was just ok and beds were not comfortable.

This place was beautiful. Had an amazing time! The air conditioner was cold which I love..highly recommend

We have been here several times and lately it has turned into a party resort. The music is way too loud and there are a lot of rude obnoxious people. The hotel also needs a refresh, there were items in the room that needed to be fixed. I do not think we will be back.

My first experience here was awful. The door lock died twice. Once, it caused me to miss my excursion almost, and the other was at 3 am after the club. Staff wasted time trying to convince me that I had the wrong key card, but the issue was the door. The toilet stopped working, and maintenance had to come and replace parts. A taxi driver onsite charge $60 for a roundtrip to the club, but didn't return to pick us up. When I reported this to the staff, they alleged they didn't know who the man was and that sometimes people walk on the property and impersonate taxi drivers. No compensation at all was offered just excuses.

Do not stay here!

DO NOT STAY HERE! Where to begin. Upon the first day of arriving we had brown water coming out the shower, sink, and toilet. Pictures below. We notified management and THEY DID NOTHING. The second day we had no hot water and the power went out. Again, management did nothing. They have signs that says quiet hours begin at 11pm, but they had a DJ playing music outside the rooms past 11pm. Also, there isn’t much to do at the property. I would not stay back and and would not recommend

Overall, I had a nice time the staff was accommodating and friendly. I have no real complaints besides the shortage of oxtails lol 😂 will definitely be back again. .

Front desk was rude at check in as I was given an attitude from one of the members and leaving an employee was a jerk that called my room about transportation leaving the hotel

We had a great time. Be prepared for dancing, laying in the sun, and lots of food/ drinks. The entertainment staff did an amazing job. Make sure you book dinners ahead of time if you don't want to just use the buffet. Dunn's falls was a good excursion we did. Make sure you fly into Montego bay and not Kingston (it's a lot closer).

I would have given 5 stars for the staff however there is a guy and a female at the front desk that should not be working customer service, mean mugs and rude. Aside of these two everyone was excellent….friendly and fun! Michael Jackson performance on stage was superb! Kudos to all the dancers as well, showcase of talent! Excellent landscape.

RIU Reggae Montego Bay - Disappointing Experience Upon arrival at the RIU Reggae in Montego Bay, my first impression was underwhelming. The lobby was plain, lacking warmth and inviting decor—something I expected more of from a resort. Unfortunately, this theme continued into our courtyard room, which was similarly plain and poorly decorated. The biggest letdown was the bed and pillows, which were extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The food was subpar and bland, leaving much to be desired in terms of variety and flavor. While the front desk staff was polite, they didn’t come across as welcoming, and I noticed a lack of smiles or warmth. The saving grace of our stay was the swim-up bar staff, who were friendly, polite, and genuinely made our experience more enjoyable. Overall, despite a few positive interactions, I would not recommend the RIU Reggae due to the comfort issues, bland food, and lack of inviting atmosphere. There are likely better options in Montego Bay that offer a more pleasant and welcoming experience.
