Loved how we were received. Loved the lobby. Really loved the room and view!! Tried to project the game up on the tv from my iPad. Too complicated. Or I’m too old.

Everything was nice. Rooms were cleaned, staff was friendly ( especially Ms. Janice) at the front desk. The only problem I had was the bed was uncomfortable.

Perfect location! Bed was comfy, shower was good and everyone was nice. Only issue I had was w/ the elevator. Because the hotel is sooo busy, and I was on a lower level (11th floor), it took me about 7min to get on an elevator that would fit both me and my suitcase. Overall, it was a very pleasent stay and I would return

The free breakfast setup was a nightmare. Trying to get an elevator to the lobby took 30 minutes. We walked 14 flights down the stairs to pay for tea and coffee.

The policies are questionable.

Very clean room. Check in was easy. Greeted kindly and easy baggage storage so we could get right out into the city to explore. Will stay here again!

This was a great location to everything. The check in was a breeze and the staff were so pleasant and helpful.

Great stay. Conveniently located. Clean with nice amenities. The staff were polite and very responsive to our needs. One suggestion- tell people how to turn on the electric with the key card. It’s a bit unusual and we had to call to ask why there was no electricity. This information should be included during check in.

Sublime from start to finish. Staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Our room was spot on, very clean and tidy and cleaned daily. Special mention to the amazing greeter chap at breakfast when you get out of the lift. Really makes your morning and I wanted to also thank everyone at the front desk for being so decent giving us a high floor!!

Great place to stay. Close to all theaters .

First off I enjoyed the hotel. The hotel was clean and quiet, it was also close to Times Square. Being close to Times Square also meant we were close to restaurants. fast food, shopping and part of NYC people love to go. We were also close to Juniors Cheesecake. All of the listed above was in walking distance about a 5-6 minute walk. For that I give it a 10. The hotel room was pretty which was expected but the bathroom was a nice size and the bed was comfy. On the other hand, there was no microwave in the bedroom and there was no ice machine or vending machine area. That was a bit inconvenient because after hours the front desk has to heat our food up behind the bar or grab us ice from there as well. All in all it was what i expected.

Everything was amazing from the location to the staff and the area. Literally a 1 min walk to Times Square. Check in was a breeze!

Great stay for business or pleasure

We were there for a brief stay and the hotel was new and clean. The staff was very helpful, also. My only complaint was that it was very noisy in the hallways. It made it impossible to sleep. I could hear doors slamming and people talking.

Very updated

The room has a strong odor of mold or mildew. It literally affected my breathing. The room is lovely but the odor is powerful and unhealthy. The check in experience was below average. A simple greeting, smile and acknowledgement would go a long way, the man by the elevator was gruff, asking me if I had a key. Made me feel like he thought I was attempting to sneak in or something. Just overall not a welcoming feeling.

Great stay, Great location

The hotel was right in Times Square and it took us just a couple of minutes to walk down the street to be right in the middle. We paid extra to have a more spacious room. Spacious rooms in New York are not the same as spacious rooms anywhere else. The room was spacious for NYC, but not how you would picture a regular spacious room. Overall, the hotel and room was great. We only stayed one night but we had no issues at all.

A great place to stay in NYC. We went in January and it was quiet and clean. The staff was kind and helpful. It is located close to Broadway, Times Square, and 2 subway lines! The room was a good size for NYC and the shower was fantastic! Our only issue was the elevators in the morning were very full and we had to wait for some time. Great stay!

I did not like the bathrooms. I have to stand a few ft apart to flush so the water does not splash on me

The room was very clean and comfy, loved the shower, great view. The cafe was affordable with great snack and sandwich options. All the staff was friendly and helpful, and the luggage storage on the first and last days was quick and efficient. Best of all, the location couldn't have been better.

Great place!

We went to NYC as a family of 5 and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated right in the middle of everything. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was so friendly!

Emmanuel at the front desk was very helpful despite our late check-in. The lobby is beautiful and the breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious. The room was spacious considering it’s in the middle of Manhattan and cost appropriate. We loved how centrally located this property was. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room temperature was easy to adjust.

I like how everything was a 5-15 minute walk from the hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Everything was clean!

The room was very nice. I like to tile floors. Bathroom was also great. We asked for 2 extra pillows and they arrived within a 1/2 hour. We stayed 3 nights. There were 2 bottled waters in the room only on the 1st night. The front desk said that it is only available the first day. It would be a nice touch to have bottled water each day.

The elevator nightmare every morning waiting 30 min for the elevator because everyone has to come to the first floor to pay for breakfast and then they shuttle you up the elevator to the 5th flooor for breakfast which is a terrible continental style buffet for $25. Managemt needs to step up here big time. There’s no room service in the hotel and no restaurant either. Will not be coming back to this nightmare of a hotel.

While the decor is nice, there are not enough elevators to service such a big hotel. The breakfast service is a disaster, with poor organization and with long lines. The rooms are not as large as advised. Overall, book another hotel!!!!!!

Unsafe hotel due to elevator manipulation!

It’s a nice hotel, BUT, do not stay here! In the morning, they hold half the elevators for people go to the horrible, over priced restaurant. So the rest of the hotel is left waiting 30+ minutes to get down to the lobby! It is extremely unsafe! The elevators were packed with people pushing in, shoving little kids out of the way, and creating extremely unsafe conditions. They should be shut down by the city! This could be avoided if not for their greedy practice of trying to funnel people to their overpriced breakfast.

Gym low end. Breakfast line was an hour wait at least. No way worth it. No coffee maker in room? Only give you water first night? Really? Can’t give water for night 2 or 3? Checking in feels like a 3 rd world country check in with so much paper to sign and secret hard password.

The hotel is very conveniently located. The room was small but clean and adequate. The staff with whom i dealt were courteous and efficient. Elevators could be full in the mornings.

The hotel is conveniently located to Times Square and has a very nice breakfast buffet and was nice & clean. However, I will say that the videos they are playing on the screen behind the check-in counter are a little weird.

They really did their research when considering the needs of travelers. Smart room lighting. Good bathroom with fantastic shower. Quick shop where you could get sodas, liquor, beer, sandwiches, etc. Great selection of TV channels. Good city views. Hall could get a little loud, but not to often. Friendly staff. Plenty of seating in the lobby if you’re waiting for a ride or to check in. Fantastic location. Close to eating establishments and Broadway theaters. My room was small, but had all the amenities I needed. Good security.

The place to stay in Manhattan.

The location, service and quality were superb. We have stayed in many hotels in New York and Europe. RIU is a solid 4 star.

Great place!!!

Loved our stay here! Room was super clean, modern and comfortable. There were lots of towels in the room (all sizes) so we never needed service during our 4 night stay. We could see Times Square from our window but the rooms were very soundproof and quiet. Very close to lots of restaurants and theaters and attractions.

Clean and convenient with a fantastic staff. I was everything I was looking for.

Perfect Hotel in NYC!

Absolutely can't beat the location if you're in town for shows and general touristing. Breakfast is fantastic, although they were PACKED (and managing it pretty well) when we were there for the Macy's parade/Thanksgiving weekend.

Just 1/2 a block from Times Square! Everyone is super nice from every country around the world. Breakfast was AMAZING!

Where's the elevator?

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. The elevators rook forever. We had to wait 15 minutes or more every time we took the elevator down from the 34th floor.

This hotel was amazing! staff was great and very helpful, had everything figured out for us on new years so we still had access to the hotel with its proximity to Times Square. Everything was great. Breakfast buffet was amazing as well

Family suit only had one chair. No extra chairs to seat. Bed was too soft. Firm bed is always preferred for people with back issues. Overall good experience.

The gym needs serious work.

Great location but check in was a mess. Was told that room would be ready by 3, so we decided to go get a late lunch in the meantime. Never got an email stating our room was ready, so went back to the hotel at 430 and were told that our room on the high dloor (as promised) was still not ready due to previous guests deciding to stay later and paid extra to check out at 6. Really?!! I paid for the room as well,but somehow that was not their problem. They ended up givinv us another room after I expressed frustration, on a lower floor and a connecting room. Next morning, only 1 elevator was working for 49 floors. Waited at least 15 mins for an empty elevator, ended up going down 10 floors and then getting on an elevator to go down the remaining 11. For such a busy and an expensive hotel, these two things were absolutely unacceptable! Staff were not helpful and everything was matter of fact for them. Not great customer service at all. No attached garage and cost me $100 over 24 hrs parking. Only saving grace was great location and comfy room (small though)
