Great time, great hotel
My wife and I love to travel. We also love variety and trying new places. This, however is the only hotel and location we have ever come back to. I think this was our 5th stay, just as amazing as the first. TY!
Beautiful property and incredible staff. Will be back!
I was charged a $600 cancelation fee. They told me that Expedia would have to request the reimbursement . (They sent the request ) I have not seen the reimbursement yet! Other than that this place was amazing! I would go again!
Excellent property. Main concern: Restrooms not close to pool area.
Enjoyed my stay.
I loved everything. This was our 7th stay with Riu Palace.
Excellent vacation...thank you to the Riu Palace Pacifica staff...
Very nice and very clean. All food was good. Room service could have had better options, but was still good. The staff are all amazing!
My wife is very particular. Sh inspects cups, looks for hair- brings her own cleaning supplies. She didnt have to do much because the room was perfectly clean. Fun atmosphere with lots to do. definitely coming back again
Riu has always provided an excellent stay for us, but this Riu and the PV location were Above Excellence! We are looking forward to booking again for next year already!
Would stay again
Our stay at RIU Palace was great. The resort was clean, the food was delicious and the staff was great.
We could not control the temperature in the room and the floors were very cold. Otherwise we enjoyed the hotel very much. We would return again.
Property is very clean Staff were all pleasant, attentive, and just good people Buffet was solid, multiple options for each course and the restaurants on the ground were all above average. My only suggestion, not a complaint would have a night on the beach or some type of available dining options on the beach Went with four couples and we all enjoyed our stay!
The staff, cleanliness of property is first class and absolutely spotless day and night.Everyday waiters, servers, cleaners, gardeners etc., are so smart and friendly in clean starched uniforms, wonderful to see! The pools are a little disappointing, one small rectangular exercise / fun events pool, one small really busy swim up bar and one rectangular larger pool where hundreds stand in and drink all day. No swimming areas for some laps or such. The beach is beautiful to walk on, but best when the tide is out and it is level sand. The food is incredible, absolutely no questions there, wait staff are all around for drinks and clean up constantly. The shows are very disappointing, very cheap costumes and bad choreography, the Michael Jackson show was very good. But overall the sound system is WAY to loud you need ear plugs if you want to stay and watch. However all that said, this is a first class establishment, wouldn’t come back, but again mostly because of the pools.
Service was really good. If you’re looking for a smaller and quiet resort I would recommend a stay here.
Excellent service. A lot of area on beach to sit as well as th pool.
We had such an amazing experience! The food was Amazing! The resort was brand new and easy to navigate.
The RIU palace Pacifico is fantastic. The food is excellent, no issues with getting into restaurants. The elite club is well worth the upgrade. Overall it’s the best vacation we have had in Mexico. Highly recommend this hotel
I really thought all the staff did an amazing job and made us feel welcome
We had the BEST stay here! Everyone was so welcoming and nice
I really enjoyed the entertainment, the fitness classes and friendly staff. The room was very quiet at night.
We loved this property. The down side is the adults only felt more like a senior citizen resort.
*
Something needs to be addressed about the area around the pools. We saw so many people slip and fall some hurt very badly because the tiles are very slippery when they are wet. A lot of older people in the quiet pool where it was very slippery and it’s SO DANGEROUS!!!!!!
Love the Riu
As always superb stay. Only 2 things a bit negativ this time. Matresses too soft and dining room chairs uncomfortable. Service and food outstanding. Kudos to Jaz at reception who made us so very welcome. All servers and kitchenstaff bent over backwards to accommodate us. Will be back for sure!
C
Beautiful property, amazing staff, amazing beach, very clean, exceptional value, great food. 5 Stars isn't enough to describe how awesome this resort is.
Reception staff extremely rude and inattentive. Asked to move rooms due to noise issues. The did not assist. Only told us thats too bad and hotel was full.
The resort is SPECTACULAR!!!
The mattresses need to be replaced. They are worn. The resort was renovated but they forgot to purchase new mattresses.
Extremely clean and quiet, no young party crowds. Exceptional service and food was moderately good. Steak house was excellent. Comfortable beds and top shelf alcoholic drinks. We will be coming back!!
This was my favorite RIU property compared to Cabo. This definitely raised my standards. They also had high end alcohol unlike Cabo. The property was beautiful, beach perfect, pools nice with a party side and quiet side, gym was good, drinks are excellent, food was good, room was nice, and the service was great. I can't wait to return. The only negative that it's 45 minutes from downtown but we took a Uber which was easy and cheaper. Honestly, with the themed parties and activities you don't have to leave the resort. However, around 11pm the entertainment team shuts down.
Great Peaceful Vacation
The Riu Palace was wonderful! Even though it was 100% capacity according to the front desk at check-in, it didn't feel too crowded. Staff was friendly and attentive, and there was no shortage of food and drinks. The free minibar in the room was a fun plus too--I've gone to all-inclusive resorts in Mexico many times but never had that. I left my debit card in the sports bar (whoops) and the front desk notified me upon check-out and returned it before my trip home, thank goodness! All in all it was a super relaxing and peaceful vacation. The demographic was a lot older than I was anticipating, but I hear that if you visit the Riu Jalisco (which you have access to as a Palace guest), they party a little harder there. I wasn't feeling that for this trip though, so I'm glad it was quieter and we got the R&R we were looking for.
All very good pool service
Not a 5 star. Beach area was not kept clean and there was definite odor. We are not smokers, the resort is non smoking but they have placed defined smoking atea that is not far enough away from the guests. Food was OK, nothing was ever hot, buffet had themes but essentially was the same over and over. There were 5 restaurant available to us, non Elite members, all were very noisy. Wait staff were amazing, friendly and avle to meet our needs. At check we were assigned a room on the 1st floor, which waa fine, except our view was of a roof above the theatre, entertainment center. The noise was very very loud during the day and especially from 9pm till midnight. We are talking door rattling noise. We requested a change, told not a aingle other room available. The next day we complained again and got moved, quieter for sure, still no view excdpt building next door and loading dock. Unfortunately we will not be back to the RIU
The property was great and the staff was really attentive
First time back since they renovated. Place looks great. Nice amenities and great food
Loved every moment of our stay here, we actually left our first hotel and switched to here and it was worth every dollar spent. Food was fantastic everyone, the best mixed crowd I’ve seen at a resort, friendly and attentive staff! I would give this 10 stars if I could
The food was not that good.. other then that it was a nice quiet place
The staff of the resort sets this place apart from the competition. They were extremely helpful and easily accessible. The beach was clean and expansive, very easy to find 'the perfect spot'. The activity staff was great, so fun and welcoming. Yummy who conducted the Aerobic Fit classes was our very favorite!
Food was not good and fruit smelled like fish. The pool shuts down at 7 and there isn’t anything to do after the evening show. Older crowd that sat around and played cards.
The music in the evening was too loud and went on too long. There was a drumming show the last night we were here and there was long, loud drums with screaming. Not very pleasant. Also the bass is overpowering. Other than that it is a beautiful resort.
Being able to make eating reservations would make it better. With so many Canadians there, it would have better for the sports bar to carry NHL hockey games on the tv
Super nice staff!
Was amazing!! The food was really good for resort food, the staff was really friendly, resort was clean and well kept. highly reccommend
Hotel precioso
Staff service was amazing. All so professional and attentive.
Upscale vibe but lacking Meican charm. Top shelf alcohol and great drinks , something was always available. The coffee place and fancy drink cart in lobby was a nice touch.Service was great in every area and Allie at the activity pool was hands down the best server on property and always kept the drinks flowing. Food was mostly good and even though I don't usually like the buffet, it was my favorite at this resort and the sports bar killed it on food as well! Also, first all inclusive where I could order steak and lobster for no upcharge. The room was perfect and bed super comfy. Housekeeping did great job and while ording things on the app , they were super responsive. Also, the beach was great, with plenty of seats and shade if needed and you could swim in the water. Easy walk to the charming town of Bucerias, that had a great market and lovely bars on the beach with live bands. I thought the price was affordable for all the perks you received as well. The few complaints I had were minor but the granite around the pools was incredibly slick! I saw so many people slide around like it was ice. That really need to be fixed. I thought it was weird too that I could not get a cocktail while eating dinner at the restaurants, only beer and wine, except at sports bar. Also, add another bathroom around pools and restaurants. Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend.

The Riu does not take reservations for the restaurants unless you get a upgrade to the "Elite" package. Had to line up and arrive 1 hr early to get a spot in the steakhouse. Couldn't get in several evenings in spite of tables being empty
Nice
Food choices not the standard expected. All desserts looked beautiful but not myself or husband could eat it. We loved the service and the staff. We wouldn’t go back counting on the entertainment. We walked out on all of them except the Mariachi. It’s a beautiful location, very relaxing and peaceful. No food wowed us at all. For the kind of money we spent, we wanted to eat better food, not just A LOT of food. Hope this helps
Would highly recommend resort. Low key and relaxing
RIU Palace Pacifico is the best adults only resorts hands down!!!!
The property is beautiful and staff outstanding. Many choices for dinner. My biggest concern was the tap water was not potable/drinkable. With such an upscale resort such as this, I would expect drinkable water. The hotel was good about providing bottled water upon request but I had a fear the days I was there. The restaurants did sever drinkable water. We waited outside the Steak House for 45 minutes prior to it opening to ensure we got a seat. They could expand by taking over some of the La Peninsula space which was hardly used. The steak was flavorful but the lobster was tough and did not have much flavor. I got food poising that night that lasted about 6 hours so I don't think it had to do with the water. Probably the lettuce washed in unpotable water??? I would definitely return if they can upgrade to potable water.
A beautiful property and facility with terrific staff. My two complaints would be the smoking on the beach, there were areas to smoke but they were not enforced, which was very frustrating. Also, the beds were very soft/worn in. Other than that, it’s a lovely place. The staff are wonderful!
We enjoyed the Riu Palace Pacifico and would recommend this to anyone! The new remodel is spectacular, especially the pool area! The beach is so close and allowed us to walk to the other resorts. WE would go back again!
Beautiful resort, amazing staff!
Our stay was fabulous! We enjoyed all 5 days and didn’t want to leave! Every guest that we met had been to the property before and they come back regularly. That’s indicative of a great resort! The only issue we had was that the rainfall shower head didn’t work but there was a second shower head to use. We struggled with the tv but we weren’t too concerned about it since we weren’t in the room much. Overall, it was an amazing time.
Amazing vacation!
The hotel staff were polite and courteous. Convenient on the beach. However, not accommodating, flexible or helpful with all change requests. Also, no quality tequila available. Small complimentary gift was appreciated.
Great, quiet all-inclusive north of all the PV action. The property is newly renovated and very nice. The food options are varied and delicious and the Elite Club package was totally worth it. Only draw back is the open air theatre that plays very loud music until 10:30pm. If you have interior room (even an ocean front suite), do not expect to go to bed early. Our favorite thing was the service! Countless kind and helpful employees! Some of the best service we’ve had in years.
We like the bartenders in the lobby area Luis and Rodolfo they have excellent customer service skills and were always professional and attentive to my husband and I. Too bad for other staff members that made us feel that we didn't belong in other areas of the hotel. Even the bellboy made it clear that there is a preference to other races/ethnicities over us hispanics. We picked this hotel because of our great experience at the Riu in Cabo San Lucas. We felt that both properties run so different, but will never go back to either. We take this very seriously and we like to feel that our money is being well spent.
Was disappointed in facing a vacant property that is not attractive and the room was efficient but not luxurious in any way (towels and robes are thin/cheaper, nothing like ear swabs or shower caps). The cleaning crew did a good job daily, liked the closet and safe which lit up and opened from top, restaurants were pretty good and we tried them all, buffet was quite good. The staff mostly seemed irritable and like they don't really enjoy their jobs. You tip for everything and they appreciate it. Beach pretty nice and very walkable especially mid afternoon-but stepped on a bee which ruined three days. Another girl got stung by stingray. Piano player/singer was enjoyable but same every night. Offered specialty bartender every night which was nice. Liked the water exercise class and nice warm pools. Six nights was plenty for us.
Everything was great but there are 2 things I wish were corrected. The TV selection was horrible. We have stayed in several locations in Mexico and never had a issue. The second is bathrooms. It seems there was a lack of bathrooms.
The entire establishment and staff was amazing but the food was just not good at all. Also, the "sports bar" needs more TVs. The food there was truly disgusting.
The grounds and hotel were exquisite! The pictures do NOT do it justice! The staff was impecable and so friendly. And the food was amazing, variety, quality flavors .. all so great! We just needed more time there that's all! We will be back again!
Fabulous resort with excellent staff, food, spa, and pool. Beautiful beach though not the best for swimming (the occasional stingray swimming by) but one of the best spots to relax and be pampered. A hidden gem.
The beach area was great. The food was typical “all inclusive” food. We went into town to eat.
We had a fantastic stay at this resort. I cannot say enough good things about it. The pools, the beach all quiet and inviting. The property is spotless, the staff helpful, friendly, polite and the food!!! My god the food is by far the best I’ve ever had in a resort. Will go back for sure.
Very relaxing and clean facility to stay.
Amazing place. Beautiful beach areas and pool. BEST FOOD!
Phones don’t work very well. Internet/wifi is not good.
We had a great time. My only complaint would be when we wanted to play cornhole they refused to give us the big bags to play with and insisted we use some small bags which are worthless. Have big bags for the guests when they want to play.
My wife and myself stayed there, it knowing much about the RIU palace, hands down a very great experience. The staff was attentive and helpful. Food was amazing and the resort was clean and sanitary. I will most definitely be back.
Beautiful property! Would be nice if they had a hot tub.
Loved how beautiful, clean, convenient, and close to the airport this property is! Also love that it truly is beachfront property. Food is good, drinks are great, and the service is top notch!
The resort was beautiful. No complaints except the beds were too soft. No support for your back at all and there were not enough bathrooms around the resort. Basically only two restroom areas for all the restaurants and bars. There were several toilets in each restroom but you had to leave the bar/restaurant to go to them and walk a significant way to go to them depending on where you were.
Everything
Excellent hotel with great food options. In room dining menu can use some more options.
This Riu had so many good dining options and the staff was very helpful.
Nice and clean hotel. Very professional staff!
Would def recommend!
Lovely place to stay for adults only. The food options are wonderful. We enjoyed every sec.
We were there for 8 nights and everything was wonderful! Beautiful property, great service especially Jose our drinker server on the beach. He was great hard worker and so friendly, polite and we looked forward to seeing him each morning! Food options fantastic! Can hardly wait to return!
Staff was amazing and service beyond expectations
Fabulous! I can’t wait to go back.
This resort is beautiful and very clean. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly! The beach was great, lots of palm trees for shade and soft sand. Food options were great, for an all inclusive, I was impressed as some all inclusive food isn't very tasty! The only complaint I have was the noise level from the theatre down stairs. I was on the 8th floor and could hear all the shows and loud music from the ground floor till about 11pm. Also, you can here everyone in the hallway and the people in your neighboring room. Over all, my boyfriend and I had a great experience and would definitely come back!
It was nice to be able to eat at the a la carte without reservations. Volleyball courts were in a great spot partially shaded by the palm trees
This property was beautiful and amazing. I really enjoyed myself. The service, the staff, the food were all amazing. . . I definitely will stay at the resort again. . . For sure.
The property was amazing. Well lit and safe for walking around. The pools were beautiful and clean and the staff went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of.
The property was very clean and the service was outstanding.
My wife and I loved this resort! The service was excellent. The Jr Suite was clean and modern with a great view of morning sunrises and the ocean. The bathroom had dual sinks and all new fixtures with a raindrop shower. The food options were wide-spread, my favorite was Krystal Restaurant, followed by The Steakhouse, where we celebrated our Anniversary dinner. We tried the Italian & Kyoto as well. My favorite dish was actually the BBQ ribs served at the 24-hr Sports Bar - so nice to have alcohol available all day. Our room had a full bar and the mini fridge was always filled with beers, water and soft drinks - what is so cool is that you can order replenishment at anytime courtesy of the RUI app. Also, the lobby had an evening drink cart to complement the Lobby Bar (Daiquiri) featuring different cocktails each night, we enjoyed Mescalitas on Monday and Amaretto Sours on Thursday. The evenings were fun-filled particularly the White Party and the NYE party, La Peninsula Restaurant had amazing food carving stations and the champagne was flowing. The NYE countdown show was quite hilarious with all the noisemakers, hats, masks and champagne provided. The staff really went all out to make the party outstanding. The pool action was perfect for us…if we wanted music we hit the swim up bar, Marlin. Advice is to get lounge chair spots early for prime spots - we mostly opted for ocean view deck. Pool attendants always kept our cups full. Highly recommend and would go again!
Overall the food was underwhelming especially in Buffett. Hardly any local fish but plenty of tilapia, salmon and lobster which were not tasty and over cooked at times. Where was the tuna, grouper, flounder? The best dish was the French fries at pool taco stand.
Comida y bebida de buena calidad. La temperatura del agua en las albercas es muy agradable, incluso en época de invierno. Se agradecerían baños cercanos a las albercas y restaurantes.
Amazing Hotel.
Have been going to Riu Pacifico for about 10 years now. Always had a great time. Staff works exceptionally hard to make everything run smoothly. Very clean and food is excellent. This is our first time back since the remodel shut down the hotel in 2022. There used to be one large pool. Now, the pool is divided into 3 pools, which I think works well. I like that it's now adults only. New Year's dinner was amazing! Just a few minor negatives. The beds are soft. The buffet is half the size that it used to be, but the food options are still good, but not as good as before. Also, Riu used to be much less expensive, but they hiked their prices significantly since the remodel. That makes it much more expensive for a family of six.

Really beautiful place and the staff is AMAZING!! The food is good and a lot of choices. Great place if you like to walk the beach, it goes on and on! Would definitely recommend!!
