Excellent from start to finish

Fitness center needs updated

Their was a variety of all different types of food and the food was excellent, cooked and prepared well with no extra salty taste.

Overall my stay was ok but on the last 2 days I couldn’t enjoy it because my spouse and I had stomach issues after eating at the buffet and now will have to see a doctor when we go home. Definitely need some work when it comes to food handling and over the years like since 2022 people have reported becoming sick from this location. Something has to be done about this ASAP. To avoid food poisoning, it must be cooked thoroughly and replaced after a certain time. Bacteria can still grow even when heat is constantly applied in buffet style environment. These bacteria like salmonella often contain endospores that are extremely hard to kill and the right protocol must be followed to avoid these situations.

I loved it here. The food was good! I like how yu have access to all 3 properties. Staff was very nice and helpful.

I like the fact that you are able to go to the other locations (reggae & montego)when you stay at the Palace. I didnt like that you have to have a reservation for all the reataurants for dinner. We were not able to get reaervations so we had to eat from buffet & snack bars. I like the foam party & other pool parties but the pools get to crowded so it would be nice if all the resorts are doing those parties at the dame time so you can attend the one at the resort you booked at to avoid over crowding. The pools do close early (6pm). We were told that it takes 12 hrs for cleaning & chemicals. The stay was nice. I really enjoyed it. When youre on the beach the boat guys can be a little aggressive with getting your attention but if yiu ignore them or say youre good or not interested they leave you be. They really didnt bother us. The beach is nice but beware of the seaweed. Overall the stay was wonderful.

Overall solid resort, could use some updates in rooms. Food was good, with a decent variety. Restaurant availability mostly limited.

I went here on my first ever Solo Adventure out of country. I felt safe. Since this property allows you to visit both of the other RIUs, I enjoyed the freedom of choice. The parties were entertaining and the food was good. Only downside; NO OUTSIDE COMPANY. They were super strict about that.

Riu Palace was amazing, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The buffets were pretty good, if I had any complaints the only thing I would say is that there was too much pork at breakfast and too many other options of meat. We had access to both of the other resorts and I gotta say that Riu Montego Bay is where all the fun was at. The pool was lit everyday we went especially on Friday. They also had other entertainment activities at night. I will definitely be coming back to Riu Palace

You are treated like family not just a guest. All the employees smile and enjoy what they do. They do everything they can to make you feel welcomed and safe. Getting transportation is a breeze to go just about anywhere you like. I love it there the hotel, the country the vibes are amazing. I plan to return in the future. I miss the food already.

This property is exceptional! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the immaculate condition of the space. The pool area is a real gem, perfect for relaxing on the beach. The property was incredibly helpful and responsive, always going above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. Love everything about the property and the food The entertainment was high energy and fun. The only downfall was Krystal the food was nasty, the rib was very salty and the lobster boat soup was cold with bad after taste. I had no silverware on the table. The bread was brink hard. The server scene I had no butter. She said she’s gonna go get it. It comes back so late. The food came out. I asked for a Gingerale soda and she gives it to the table next to us even though there’s only six people in the restaurant at the time. And I watched her give it to the other table and then say yours is on the way. I’ve been to this resort numerous of times and I figure I will try this restaurant one more time to see if anything changed and it’s still horrible. Is bad when you have to have reservations as soon as you’re done go to the buffet to go eat The steak restaurant was amazing though. But when I come back again, yes because everything else is amazing

I loved the entertainment. I didn’t really like the speciality restaurants except the steak house. Breakfast at the buffet was great plenty of options. Staff were nice friendly and helpful. I would go back again

Poor customer service

The entertainment staff and fitness staff were all amazing! They made us feel like family. We had such an amazing time at RIU Palace. The food was all good and there were plenty of selections on the buffets and with the restaurants to choose from. The rooms could use some upgrades with the outlets and little things like that. I wasn’t able to put my clothes in the dresser because there was a musty smell to them, but it is right next to the water, so you will have that. But we will definitely book here again and will highly recommend to friends that go to Jamaica!!

Only negative are the airplane noise right over the beach and swimming pools.

The experience was rather lovely

Everything was Excellent

During our stay, my fiancée and I were part of the “Elite” group of guests. We had access to a separate pool with good quality sun beds. We also had access to separate a la carte dining options. Being “elite” was great as we could choose to relax in a quiet area or join the masses which was fun at times. I’d definitely recommend going elite as a couple.

The room was just okay, we had a bit of a bug issue but didn't stress about it. The specialty restaurants were a disappointment at the steakhouse the staff only seemed to pay attention to the white guests we did however enjoy the buffet food. Overall the Staff were friendly and accommodating

I liked RIU Palace but I most likely won’t return. Pro’s- I felt really safe there and the workers are amazing! They are truly top tier, providing excellent customer service! Con’s- the rooms could use some remodeling, it was very outdated furniture. Our shower door wouldn’t close fully and there wasn’t anywhere in the shower area to hang washcloths. A lot of chipped paint around as well. The food was very good, but I wasn’t able to enjoy any of the specialty restaurants because they have to be pre booked which I was unaware of. I had the desk attendant help squeeze me into the steakhouse for my Birthday celebration and he assured me that I was booked only to be told on that night that I wasn’t on the list. I was really bummed out about that. I also wouldn’t recommend this resort if you are looking for relaxation. It gets very loud at night from the parties and it’s a lot of street noise as well and barking dogs at night.

No hot water first day, never put the twin beds together to create a king.

Room 3001 had a lot of Roaches. It was so bad that I found one inside of my suitcase. a staff member came to the room with bug spray. My husband requested that our room be changed. I felt very uncomfortable and unable to sleep with the idea of so many bugs. This was within the first few hours of being on the property. I also don't appreciate that my room was facing the street, hotel entrance and some sort of huts across the street. I expected to see a garden with my garden view. The view in room 2010 which we we're switched to was no better. I had to complain multiple times about the room not having any hot water. Most of the trip the shower water was cold. The front desk wasn't very accommodating at all. The gym was run down and dusty. It was very small and could fit about 8-10. The Italian restaurant didn't appear to have power the first night. All of the food and the space in the restaurants that require a reservation was mediocre. They limit the amount of food you can order and it felt rushed. There's 4 restaurants and the buffet. Bartender Winston at the pool was great! he went above a beyond. Server Alex was sweet. Waiter Jamar was great! Denaro,Tevin, CJ, Genius and Bubbles did great. I'm not sure where the lifeguard staff stay but I had to pull a man from under the pool and drag him while yelling. I won't return to this resort ever again. I slipped and fell in the pool bathroom. I asked the towel attendant for help and she told me to find staff with a brown shirt.

Entertainment “Very Good”. Buffet very good. Specialty Dining- Mediocre (at best). Cleaning Service was “Very Good”. Rooms were outdated however were clean. Overall my husband and I enjoyed our experience. The morning breakfast and lunch staff were ever attentive to our needs and extremely pleasant over all. We will be back.

Our stay at the Riu Palace was amazing. We arrived at the property early and they were able to accommodate an early check in at 11 am. They were also able to place our rooms near each other although we had four separate bookings. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food choices were great - especially on Sunday “seafood night.” Will return in future

The hotel is close to the airport, every plane that takes off goes right above the property. You can hear the engines REALLY loud. Even from the room. The staff, food and drinks are great. The rooms could use upgrades and snacks (only alcohol and drinks are in the fridge).

Everything about it was great. The rooms are a little outdated and in need of repairs here and there, rather than a coat of paint. However, Still clean. Other than that, great facility. Especially since you can utilize the other resorts and they're right next door to each other.

My boyfriend and I visited this property and had a great time. We were a little nervous because it was our first all-inclusive and there were some negative reviews regarding the dining experience. I can tell you that there are various options and we had no problems making reservations for dinner at the restaurants for 2 people. All the food we ate was great & the property was fantastic. One thing is that the rooms are pretty outdated, but we were outside most of the day anyways! Service was great and definitely recommend booking an excursion to do the bamboo rafting and ATV riding!

It was our second time back and definitely will not be returning. 7 nights and only slept our last night due to the couple arguing betwen the hours of 2 and 430 AM. I had reported the incident to the front desk and they did nothing about it, offered another room for 73 a night, then realized it wasnt available. The ocean was full of seaweed it was disgusting.

Loved that it didnt feel like it was in a town once you were in the resort. There was many food choices, activities and places to hang out by pool and beach.

Wonderful and exquisite property, has access to the other 2 adjacent RIU properties, food was great, entertainment was fantastic....will come again.

Perfect for a couples getaway. Close proximity to the airport. Transportation was easy to secure as well as excursions. The entertainment at the hotel was great as well as the nightlife at the other locations. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is a bit older - but the staff keep it exceptionally clean. We enjoyed access to the other properties and the VIP beach sections we were able to relax in. The food at the restaurants was delicious. However, room service food was not as expected. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again. Thank you for a memorable 20th Anniversary trip!!

Had a great time, wish I could have stayed longer. The staff were very friendly, very helpful. The food was great. I would have loved to have the pool open late night though but other than that it was a great experience.

Had stayed at JOIA Rose Hall and then spent a few days here after our flight home was cancelled. A much better experience. Wonderful food, staff and facilities. Strongly, strongly recommend, and less expensive than JOIA.

Loved it great stay

The palace was small and quiet. The restaurants were small so food was fresh and delicious. We had a wonderful vacation.

The company RIU lacks any decency, morals, integrity, or class. I booked the wrong hotel RIU paradise Montego Bay. Lo and behold there’s another.RIU paradise tropical Bay. So you could see how it could a mistake can be made. RIU would not transfer the booking from Montego Bay to Negril where my family was staying. It’s OK Expedia.and RIU can expect lawsuits filed by me pro se. Of course I don’t expect to make any money, but I’m going to keep filing so Expedia and RIU spend money for lawyers to defend these cases. Secondly, I have 20 secretaries that are gonna devote one hour per day for the next month bashing Expedia and. RIU hotel chains. Save your money.

You could not use the beach without being harassed by the guys in the little boats trying to get you to buy stuff. You couldn’t walk in any area between the three resorts without the same thing happening. Everytime you passed by, it was the same thing. Very annoying and not why people go on vacation.

Staff was amazing. There were plenty of food options, entertainment was plentiful. Safe, reliable transportation to excursions. Check in and out were a breeze. I will definitely return.

Getting to pool so inconvenient. Inside breakfast seating unheard of. Worst when going to buffet as mot tables. But onside fullyvacant but off limits. Food stated various culinary offerings. All seem exactly the same. I have stayed at RIUs for over 25 years and i will never come back to Jamaica. Should have been upgraded for free, said they couldnt as they didnt have rooms. Nut if wanted to pay 300 per night i could. How can that be?

Resort was nice a little outdated restaurants hard to make reservations so when my husband and I first got there for the first 2 1/2 days we were not able to use the restaurants we had to use the buffet. I feel like this could be improved upon outside of the vacation was well.

The property is amazing & the workers are spectacular. Food was abundance, staff constant cleaning , friendly & making sure u are okay. I truly enjoyed my vacation. Will definitely return & recommend.

Everything was beautiful they greet you when you check in with champagne. I thought that that was really cool especially after the flight that I had.

It was an easy vacation always able to sit by pool or beach without running for chairs

When I got there, I had two rooms the room smell like urine. I bought the attention to the staff, which was nice. They tried to accommodate, but the smell would not leave. I went out, came back and there was roaches in my room. I took picture of it, show it to the front desk and they moved me. Then the property uses plastic cups, which they reuse over and over again, which is so unsanitary.

The property had great views for photos and relaxing. The private beach waa amazing and there are photographers to take your memories. The stagg was very pleasant and informative. Wish I had more time to enjoy the other properties. Overall I was pleased with my stay!

Property nice. Couldn’t get reservations for most restaurants until 3 days in

We were there last week. Had a fantastic vacation! Food was excellent! The rooms had the same smell as any other beach vacation in other countries including the USA! The staff is amazing! The entertainment crew-Dinero, Genius, String Bean, Scion and ReRe- are so fun and work 12 hours a day to make sure you have fun. Check out the Michael Jackson & Grease shows at the other resorts. Check the app every morning for available reservations. We were able to get in every night. 2 nights all 12 in our group were able to sit together! We went last year in March also and are already planning to go back next year!
