Excellent service.

Entertainment and staff were outstanding. Clean property and rooms. Hard bed, cheap pillows = headaches every day. Beach and pools were great. Buffet is top notch, restaurants were average.

My only problem was the ice machines in my villa was not working. the staff was nice and helpful and the food was ok we had fun and i found peace.

Roaches in my room and roaches in the exterior food buffet "Peppe's". Pool water was very cloudy. Food was horrible all around.

Entertainment was phenomenal, they are all so talented and work hard to make every day fun and different. The resort is beautiful and impeccably clean, 24/7. It was impressive. It was an amazing experience. The staff was extremely supportive and friendly.

Likes: breakfast buffet and pool area & neon party. Dislikes: some days room was not made up late into the afternoon. The app to book restaurants didn’t always work and when it was brought to the attention of the staff they weren’t much help and would just repeat that we had to use the app. Our sink was clogged on the first day but was quickly taken care of. In another room the toilet didn’t work and the resort had issues with power at times.

The room had roaches. The beds were so hard it was painful to sleep. The food was nothing i would ever want again. The vibe was good though.

I really loved the property. Food was amazing. Close to the airport. Option of having about 4-5 pools to choose from. The staff were very nice. The only problem I had was the toilet kept clogging literally everyday. The usb port in the walls didn’t work and not much tv options. The neon/ white party was very good i enjoyed my stay otherwise

I’ve stayed at a RIU property in Ocho Rios and in Mexico. The one in Montego Bay was my least favorite. Upon arrival our room was not clean there were crumbs on the floor and our bathroom toilet was not cleaned it looked like someone had just used the bathroom in there. One night there was a roach in our bathroom as well. The property definitely needs a renovation and deep clean. There were foundation cracks along the walls of our room and the property. The beach area was nice and the staff were nice. I just would not recommend this particular property unless you want to just party. This location is not for relaxation.

I liked everything about the Riu Montego the staff was absolutely fantastic the resort was awesome the food was very good and the beach was beautiful. I had the best time ever..

Everything was great except the food

Bryan made us so comfortable around Riu party. He was always upbeat and happy to assist us. Chop chop has the best food at Pepe’s. And Sonique at the front desk was a gem. They wouldn’t accept any resort credits though.

The entertainment was wonderful

We had to go and pay to go to a nice beach that doesn't have a mud bottom. We saw several people from the resort there that came there for the same reason we did. We asked the life guard if there is a part of the beach that has sand vs mud. He stated no and that guest mostly complain about that. It was also verry annoying to even walk on the beach on the resort because of the hackler's are lined up in the water on kayaks trying to sell you things, weed, ask you for cigarettes and playing extremely loud inappropriate music. I am verry surprised that the resort is allowing that. The property is super nice,clean, lots of great entertainment and Staff is top notch. However i mostly came there for the beach.

Very close to the airport. Only real main complaint was the check in process kinda took awhile. We got there early like at 2. Was told at 3 room will be ready. Then had to wait till 340 to finally get into room. Buffet was good. Staff was friendly and drinks were good!

The elevator in the 2 building is very outdated and slow and the ice machine was out of service the entire time I was there . The staff is amazing as always. Housekeeping is phenomenal

This resort was recommeded and met my expectations! I was there to celebrate a sister-friend's 70th birthday! The accommodations were great overall. Loved the double sinks and large walk-in shower. The bed mattress could be more comfortable but not terrible. Loved the White Party and Sports Bar to watch NFL playoff games! The atmosphere in the Steakhouse was nice, tables set exquisitely set and service impeccable to celebrate my friend's birthday, but the food was better in the Asian Restaurant.

I loved the campus like layout of the property. Very easy to get around. The service staff in all the venues are excellent. The food was some of the best I have had at an all inclusive resort. The front desk was very good. One problem, for those of us who have early departures, it would be nice to have a coffee and breakfast snack service in the lobby. Had a fantastic time!

We were put in a room that was already inhabited and my boyfriend walked in on a lady changing. It was so embarrassing and a really long ways to building 6 to have to bring all of our luggage back to lobby. We went to lobby and I asked for a refund for our upgrade and they refused it, but instead offered us a "free gift" in our room. We never got the free gift in our room and staff was very dismissive. We were also some of the only people on the whole resort tipping and staff was very rude. They treated us and everyone I talked to about it like we were inconveniencing them. Not even a thank you from anyone. The entertainment was so loud, no matter where you sat, we could barely hear anyone at the table talking. It also seemed very repetitive. Same old stuff. Food was good for first few days, but the buffet stayed almost exactly the same for all meals, so it got sickening. The beach was ok until you step in the water. The entire bottom of the ocean was sea weed and gross to walk in. I was in the ocean only 1 time because of this. We were treated badly and, in my opinion, everyone needs to know what they're getting themselves into.

Great resort While there is lot of activities there is also plenty of places available if you would like a quiet beach time We enjoyed being on the beach in a quieter setting and we were about to find that in front of Villa 6 Great vacay!

Great food, plenty of bars. Plenty of pools. Not enough outlets in the rooms.

Pros:pretty clean, decent buffet, found male staff to be very nice and helpful Cons : very limited spots for dining, I wasn't able to make a single reservation, liquor is very sub par(bring your own if you want something good) low beer stocking in room. Pools close very early, people trying to sell their trinkets o. The beach are constantly trying to get anyone's attention to buy their stuff and are everywhere on the beach. No room service, limited dining hours. Female staff at bars and dining most the most part seemed Very irritable and annoyed with any extra request even while tipping for every drink. Club is very small and wasn't staffed well enough to even get a drink half the time. Airport is very close and planes flying over every 15 mins all day is a bit distracting and loud. I would not return unfortunately. Feel like I was robbed of my money on the very expensive "all inclusive" ( and I use that statement very loosly) resort.

The property was AMAZING! Everyone friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay comfortable! Highly recommend!

Loved the atmosphere

The room was decent, the staff overall was awful, they were extremely rude and hateful, meal times are limited and the food is at best a 3/10, there is so much more I could go over but I’ll leave it at this, stay elsewhere!

Overall, I really enjoy this resort (I've been there twice in the last three years...and last year I stayed at the sister hotel Riu Palace)... The resort itself is lovely. The food is pretty decent, especially for an all-inclusive; the beach is beautiful and semi private; the pools are nice; and the vibe/other guests is fun and social. However, my experience with the staff was disappointing this time. Several members I interacted with to handle a room issue were unaccommodating, unhelpful, and almost rude. I'd recommend this resort but with the caveat that any issues you might have will likely not be resolved.

Staff were phenomenal in every single department. The grounds were spotless kept up perfectly superb room. The beach was clean. Absolutely, wonderful hotel. Ten minutes from the airport, you can't beat this!

Staff was excellent. Beach was amazing. Facilities not bad either. Food was absolutely atrocious. Honestly couldn’t wait to get back home to have a decent meal. Not only was the selection super limited, all of the restaurants have the same thing every day for all meals. No limes for drinks. If you are into pig feet and jerk chicken, then you will be good, although you will have to stand in line for 30 min for the chicken.

Access to the town

The staff at this resort were beyond amazing. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and lovely. The energy and genuine kindness was beyond our expectations. I have never been one for the evening entertainment and shows but - WOW. I am not kidding. My 80 year old mother could not stop dancing with the band. My 19 year old son wanted to go every night. The entire experience surpassed our expectations. Amazing memories and an inspiring way to kick off the new year.

I usually do not write reviews, but I do believe it is warranted. I have stayed at many all inclusive resorts and this place is not a 5 star. It is mediocre at best. The rooms are a typical hotel room, nothing compared to other 5 star resorts. The room smelled moldy ( when we returned home my daughter asked why everything in our luggage smelled bad and it was the way the room smelled), we had to stand in water while we showered, safe didn’t work when we arrived ( my husband had to wait in the room for 3 hours before anything was done and no remorse from staff). The beach is very crowded and chairs on top of each other. The peddlers selling their goods were constantly yelling and whistling at people, hard to relax. Tried to do the wind sailing boats but was told you have to have a sailing license… never had that problem at other all inclusive resorts! You would also think the towels are made of gold! Very rude about only one towel per day…. Again not that way at other all inclusive. There is no wait service that comes to get drink orders… again not 5 star quality. It’s fine not to be a 5 star resort, but don’t advertise like you are! The wait staff at the restaurants and buffet were amazing, so accommodating and genuinely nice and appreciative of the people coming in. The entertainment and fitness workers were hard workers and made every attempt to make things fun and involved. The best thing about the resort was the wait staff and entertainment members.

Firstly, the staff was really unpleasant and in my opinion, showed favoritism. One particular staff hissed at us was full of attitude. The food was really awful. I vomited on two different occasions and the last time was for the entire night.

The same food was served everyday. Jamaica is known for it’s food and I felt this was not represented.

we really like the entertainment staff at this resort. Every night there was a fun show. It is not a quite resort but more so for those who love activities. Buffet food was very tasty although a bit repetitive. They have a nice waterpark and a swim up bar. Pools are very nice, but the beach is not the best. We recommend doctors cave beach nearby instead of the hotel’s beach. Overall it was a good experience.
