Great location to enjoy Trastevere vibes and site-seeing Rome. Room was compact but efficient with a modern twist to a classic Rome building. Only issue was having rental car broken into while parked just outside of property on roadway in broad daylight.....area can get a bit sketchy but I guess it comes with all big cities. Check-in & checkout was super easy and the breakfast partners were great!
Group trip
Trastevere is an excellent location for restaurants and a good base for seeing Rome. Communication with hotel was very good thanks to Simona Breakfast is continental and in a chose of 2 local cafes both of which gave the same breakfast coffee juice croissant and toast both ok. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable
They were very helpful, answered my questions very friendly. Do contact them before arrival to confirm how to find them and check in.
Loved the location of the property. Within walking distance of major tourist sites but the area did not feel touristy. Trastevere is a lovely neighborhood that offers tons of dining options. Cool vibe to the whole area. We were right on the river which I thought was pretty cool. The people at the property were very nice and accommodating. Our luggage was lost during our flight to Rome and they received our luggage for us while we were out and about. So thankful for that. Would definitely recommend this location for one or two people travelling to Rome.
Very nice hotel
This hotel was immaculate and the employees were super helpful. It is in a fairly quiet area with a mix of small hotels and residential, with lots of excellent restaurants located behind the hotel. The location was fairly good, very close to the Circo Massimo but consider that it's not very close to a Metro line.
Not recommended!
This has been the worst 3 star hotel I have ever stayed! They list AC system as one of their amenities however it was locked and unable to be used. The shower did not drained. Room full of mosquitoes! Only good thing is that it's next to a lot of good restaurants in the area.
Love Trastevere
Nice property in a nice location in Trastevere. Right on the Tiber and minutes to walk to major attractions. Service was excellent and the neighborhood is a lot of fun. We would stay here again.
Enjoyed our one night stay at this property! We love the area of Trastevere since it's a foodie's dream. We felt safe walking at night and the property was well maintained. The staff was extremely kind and check in and check out was a breeze. The only thing that we didn't enjoy was that the traffic noise is constant so if you're a light sleeper, you might reconsider. Obviously that's something they can't control but it's worth mentioning for light sleepers.
Super central location, the staff was friendly. The room was nice but wasn’t very comfortable; the bed was pretty hard, there was a sheet for a blanket (no comforter or duvet) and the AC didn’t work so the room was hot and stuffy. The walls are thin, so the room was pretty loud especially as people were coming and going. Overall okay but wouldn’t stay there again.
Clean nice hotel can not complain. Not easy to locate, so helpful tip once you see Big green doors enter and go to a second floor on you right. Heads up no elevator. Location is good not to far from a center in a quiet neighborhood.
Very close to downtown and Coliseum , we feel very safe
I loved staying at Ripense In Trastevere! My room was really nice and felt very modern, and it was kept very clean. It was a great place to come back to unwind. I also loved how close the hotel was to some of the bets restaurants in Rome! I recommend this place to absolutely everyone
Staff was great. Room was immaculate.
Perfect location, clean, shower like being in a waterfall, friendly staff, quiet, lovely morning times at cafes so close by .
If you are looking for clean, updated property with all that you need at an affordable price, look no further. Lorenzo went out of his way to accommodate us - lining up airport transportation, stowing our luggage and arranging taxis. Thank you for the lovely stay.
Awesome base for Rome
This is a great place to stay. Quiet and very well set up. Room was quiet and comfortable. Team flexible and supportive or any need to make stay work. I had 13 days there and love the neighborhood, room and vibe. Shower was strong and wifi good. Very secure with double glazed windows.
Great locaion
It was our first time to stay in this type of accommodation. To be honest, if I knew that it was not a hotel, I wouldn't book it. By saying this I admit that pictures and descriptions mislead me, I thought Ripense in Trastevere is a normal hotel. It took us long time to find the building too, as we were looking for a big hotel sign. We passed by and missed the building at least 4 times without noticing that it was the place we were looking for. However, once we found it, we were completely happy with the room, the comfort, the cleanness. We had the room on the picture. Its bigger that the average hotel rooms, the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was arranged in 3 different coffee shops (by choice) within the neighborhood, which again was surprising to me, but overall positive. The location is very good - Its walking distance to Capitoline Hill, next to the building is a bus stop for N.23 which comes from Vatican city area and continues to Tiburtina train station where is connection for the airports, there is another stop within 5 min walk to catch the tram N.8 which goes to Piazza Venezia, bus stop for bus 8 and H which go to Termini train station. Another very positive point about the location is Trastevere area itself - beautiful charming place. We would consider to stay in Ripense again.
it is very convenient location. staffs are very nice. I will recommend my friends to pick this hotel.
I love this its in a great neighborhood everything is just walking distance away. I would definitely book with them again.
it was great! very accommodating
All very new. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location.
This was good. Near bus stop. Near some of the sites. The bathroom is good size and clean. We enjoyed our stay.
Lorenzo and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room was spotless. Water pressure was great. Trastevere is the gem of Rome neighborhoods. Will most assuredly stay at Ripense in Trastevere again, maybe even as early as this friday when we travel back thru Rome!!
Great customer service, convenient location, clean. Perfect for a couple of days in Rome!
Highly recommended
Room was modern, clean, comfortable. White linens are always best and they were fresh and clean. Bathroom modern and clean with rain fall shower, spacious and lots of hot water and good water pressure, Perfectly situated to be close to my favourite neighborhood Trastevere but also easy walk to the piazzas and pantheon etc. Would recommend and I would return next time in Rome
The location was superb, close to a lot of popular Trastavere restaurants and it included breakfast at an awesome nearby cafe. Delicious!
Room was really nice, something that I don’t was the electrical outlets there are different to American, need to buy adapter so you can charge the phones
Very nice room. Everything was clean and up to date in the room. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room was clean, nice bathroom, a bit small but overall very nice. No wash cloths were provided, not sure if that is a cultural difference or not. The staff were outstanding. If it were not for the staff going the extra mile for us we would of missed our flight home.
Great Stay
very friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect, close enough to walk to all the sites but far enough away to get away from the crowds at the end of the day. Clean and peaceful.
It was a small space but all necessary amenities were provided. The room and bathroom were also very clean.
Our stay was very pleasant, the room was a bit small but was just fine for my family of 3. Maribel was great. Breakfast which was included and available at the nearby Cafe "Da Nina" was great everytime. The B&B is located in Trastevere with lots great local restaurant nearby. The only thing I would say is that I wish there was an ice machine available on premises, cause it was so hot the first two weeks of August it would have been nice to come back to our room and grab some ice and enjoy a refreshing ice cold beverage. Other than that I would definitely recommend Ripense in Trastevere.
Loved this neighborhood!
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. Best neighborhood away from tourists, but it was perfectly located within 15 minutes walking of the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Roman Forum. The staff was very friendly and offered great suggestions for dinner restaurants, things to do, etc. Very clean room... would definitely recommend and come back again.
Pretty OK
Location good Only criticism is that First impression was a bad impression as you enter the building There is a bank of dustbins The smell is horrible Once you are upstairs The place is fine. Rome is expensive This place is no exception Apart from a cracked sink in the bathroom The place is clean and well run. Friendly owner and staff Parking is a nightmare But we love Rome
The location is great! The breakfast that is included is a great way to start the day. The cafe that you go to is just around the corner and so cute.
Great, quiet sparkling queen retreat in Rome! Great location, off the beaten path yet easy to walk to all the major sights and awesome dining blocks away!
Highly recommend staying here. It’s a little unconventional in because there is no staff physically on site all the time but they are easy to reach, made a late check in request easy, were accommodating in requests. One suggestion would be to have a few more toiletry options ...like toothpaste, conditioner, showercap, etc. But the BEST part of this place is that it really has air conditioning, which makes a huge difference when its nearly 100 degrees in Rome. This is also located in an area that is not overrun by tourists, feels really authentic, easy to walk to most tourist spots within 15-25 mins and was surrounded by excellent restaurants, shops and galleries.
It was hard to reach anyone at this property. Luckily,
The owner of the hotel was very nice. They handled my transfer to the airport and the car service was lovely. I traveled with my 2 teenage daughters in a triple room and I wished we had stayed somewhere with a true lobby. The photos made me feel like there was a larger reception area with a bar and food venue attached.
Perfect base for a weekend city break. The accommodation was spotless throughout and staff were fantastic. The location meant that we were able to see all of the headline sights on foot. Highly, highly recommended - would book here again without hesitation.
We loved that is close to everything, and close to some of the best food in Rome. Friendly staff. If we ever come back to Rome I will definitely booked in this place again!!!!!!!
Good location, they provide continental breakfast in a restaurant a couple of blocks away, no lobby
The location is excellent to be able to walk to sight seeing & local restaurants. Right next to the river! The Hop on Hop Off bus pickup is about 5 minutes away! The rooms are clean and the people friendly and helpful. Great value for Rome City Centre!
Great place to stay.
Perfect location. Easy walkable access to major sites. Classic building with modern, contemporary rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend it.
Hotel was clean and staff were so helpful and accomodating. Great location! Hotel and area was perfection.
Very clean, good location.. Good options for breakfast
Lovely, clean, nicely renovated place in wonderful neighborhood. Lorenzo was incredibly attentive, helpful and accommodating, gave great suggestions and made our arrival and departure seamless. Excellent staff, yummy continental breakfast down the street. The room was a little bit tight for three of us but would be perfect for two. It was especially challenging sharing a bathroom with our teenage daughter – my one suggestion is that the room needs another mirror or two… Only one small mirror over the bathroom sink. Also a real coffee maker would be great! Otherwise it was perfect!
The breakfast was good and cafe easy to find. Very comfortable bed! Modern and clean room with fridge and kettle. Walking distance to main tourist centre of Rome and amid restaurants of Trastevere. Lorenzo made sure we could check in easily late at night. No staff on check out but we just left our key- this caused a bit of confusion as we were required to pay tourist tax on departure.
This property was in a lovely, quiet area on the river, in close proximity to all the attractions. We couldn't have been happier and breakfast in the morning was a bonus!! The staff was so sweet and accommodating in every way!!
Really helpful e-mail exchanges in advance of our arrival. We were met at the airport and taken to the hotel for an early check in. Our room was simple and very attractive -- with a view out onto and across the Tiber. Rpiense is set in a remarkably quiet but also very conveient part of the City. Breakfasts were off-site in a choice of two local cafes -- both with great character. We do feel we couldn't have chosen better for our particular taste.
Fantastic
Wonderful place, great location!!
The property was in a great area full of fun places to eat and drink. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and had a lovely waterfall shower. Would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in an interesting and trendy part of rome.
Super clean and great location! Lots of great nearby fun- easy walk to Roma’s best!
It was absolutely amazing! Loved everything ! Would definitely come back
Location, size, staff, cleanliness, communication 10/10
The property is clear, staff very helpful and friendly. Will stay there again.
Super location!
We loved the location and the helpfulness of staff. We would absolutely stay again. Great value for the euro!
Lorenzo and staff were excellent. I was reticent to stay at a guest house since I had been robbed while away from a guest house in Prati . However the place was secure and safe. It was close to all the central Rome sites. The rooms are private, clean and spacious. They were very helpful arranging transfers. Trastevere has alot of shops and restaurants for a meal or a quick bite. It is a safe area. I will stay here again and highly recommend them.
Superb location. Helpful friendly staff. Room was spotlessly clean, fresh and modern. Fab bathroom with the best shower ever. Will definitely stay again on next visit to Rome
Great place, great area
Lovely room, friendly staff and the best area to stay in for good restaurants!
A perfect choice for the area we wanted to visit, walking to all locations; we just asked directions to the hotel and found (pay) parking a block away. The room had everything a traveler needs and was clean and modern. Reception people were very helpful.
Great location, within walking distance to all the highlights of Rome. Lorenzo was very helpful with all of our requests for assistance.
Great hotel, within walking distance to the colosseum and palatine and great restaurants
Clean and tidy , met expections. Staff was helpful.
charming old building, modern refurbished interior
--> Once inside the front door, take Scala A (staircase A) on the right up one floor to the guesthouse. Convenient location, quiet neighborhood. Our room was clean, modern, and the wifi connection was excellent. AC worked very well and the bathroom was well-sized with great water pressure/temperature control. The staff was extremely helpful and arranged for our transport from the airport and then to the train station, and allowed us to store our luggage for a few hours after checkout.
Clean rooms and convenient location for walking tours of Trastevere and Rome.
Excellent service and great location
Our stay was fantastic, the hotel is in a great location and the nearby cafe for breakfast was also very handy. We were able to walk to many of the interesting sites. I communicated with Lorenzo beforehand to organise airport transfers and he was helpful and very prompt with all communication.
Very quaint, accessible staff athough not always on site. Local was easy for walking to sites and restaurants.
Very clean and cozy room with a nice design. Maybe need a bigger sign so they’re easier to find. The water pressure in the shower was amazing.
the whole place is very clean and secured. the breakfast is good and served in a timely manner. Mary (front desk) is very mice and accomodating. the area is cool and quiet. there’s nice restaurants esp for dinner near the river (transtevere). area is accessible to the bus and train stations. it is walking distance to the ancient sites like The Palatine Hill, The Forum and The Colosseo. i would higlhy recommend the place. 👍👍👍
We found the guest house and room very nice and modern. Comfortable and clean. The staff were most helpful. Our only complaints were that inside the buildings main door were the apartment garbage bins that could on occasion smell really bad in the heat. After a nice meal out in the evening it could be quite a thing to smell on the return. The other issue was that you had to leave the guest house and walk to a restaurant around the block to eat breakfast, and most days we went it was closed and ended up having to find our own food and coffee. Otherwise great location and easy city access.
Great gem in Rome
A short walk to a great walkable neighbourhood. Lots of restaurants, shops and toutiat attractions.
Not a traditional B&B experience
A good place if you just want a place to sleep. Felt more like a hotel room than a B&B, with the reception very business like. There is not 24 hour reception - make sure to confirm your arrival time else there is no-one to receive you. Very modern room layout. Overall the experience lacked warmth. Had a small bar fridge and you had to pay for whatever you used. Breakfast is not served in the venue, you receive a voucher to be used at one of two local cafes. If you need an early start cafe "404 - Name not found" opens around 0630 am. Plenty of local cafes/restaurants in the area, but be sure to book for dinner, else you might wait a while. Not what we expected...
Good stay and very helpful staff. Unfortunately the WiFi didn’t quite reach our room, but that is easily fixed.
Great staff, super clean and neat - great location if you are looking for a place different than the city center
A diamond in the rough.
The building itself was not what we were expecting. It was also boarded up with scaffolding which made it appear a little rough. That said, the reception & rooms were fantastic. Clean, comfortable & cosy (with the ultimate in block out shutters on the windows). Everything was great... The bed was comfy, air conditioning efficient & the shower was great. All good all round. And all within walking distance of Rome's main points of interest.
Great location. Very comfortable
We spent a wonderful 4 days here. Generously sized room, excellent bed. Well laid out and very clean. Quite new. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is perfect as it's just across the river from many of the major sites yet in a very quite and trendy neighbourhood. Lots of great small cafes and restaurants steps away. Highly recommended
Excellent guest house in a lovely area
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ripense, and in the area of Trastevere. Staff were polite and welcoming, the rooms were modern, well decorated and very clean - cleaned everyday and bed’s made. The area is good for families and couples alike, not bustling like the centre but lots of quaint little streets with trattorias in abundance around every corner. Thank you for a great stay...we would love to come back!
Excellent location, clean and convenient
I totally enjoyed my stay. The room was in great condition, the staff were extremely helpful and the location was so fantastic in terms of being able to walk everywhere. The surrounding neighbourhood has so many choices for excellent eating and the included breakfast at 2 of the local cafes were enjoyable.
Perfect stay in Rome!
Lorenzo was a perfect help! First on messengers before we arrived and throughout our stay at Ripense in Trastevere. You can walk to everything from this great guesthouse. We will come back for sure!
good location
this guest house is clean and a good location..easy to park..a few free parking space about 50m away..
Great place to stay in Trastevere!
Wonderful place to stay in Trastevere. Roman forum just across the river and many great restaurants close by. Comfortable, clean and quiet rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Will return!
Very basic but good accommodations
The hotel is very unassuming from the exterior but offers very clean and bright newly renovated rooms. Well worth it if you do not require all the extra amenities.
Very clean and nicely renovated guest house that has everything you need. The staff were nice and the check in was easy. Highly recommended!
Fantastic location and hospitality
Enrico welcomed us upon arrival and helped provide a great overview of Trastevere and what to expect during our stay. He also went above and beyond to have a bottle of Prosecco waiting for my wife and I on our anniversary! Ripense is located in an ideal location as you are right next to the river and can walk to nearly every major site in Rome; public transportation train/bus stops, however, are very close and made Borghese and the Vatican a quick trip. Two nearby cafes, 404 Name Not Found and Terra Satis, provide simple breakfasts for all guests via vouchers. Ripense is in the "quiet" end of Trastevere, but amazing restaurants, cafes, trattorrias, and bars are within five minutes. The room was updated and had everything we needed for our four nights in Rome. Our departing flight left later in the day, but Enrico and Maribelle made sure we could store our luggage and clean up before leaving for the airport. As others have noted about Room #1, we had a few issues with noise from other guests entering/exiting the B&B (it's right next to the reception desk). The hallway light was also a bit of nuisance running 24 hours - a timer or motion sensor would be a wonderful fix. The next time we are in Rome we plan to stay in Ripense again!
Great location, clean, comfortable.
No complaints at all about this hotel. It was convenient, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it was consistently clean and comfortable.
It is a good location in Trastevere-- great restaurant options nearby and not touristy. The room was very clean and well-managed. The room was a bit small for two people. Very friendly staff.
Good b&b
Good stay, very responsive staff (fixed the wifi issue immediately!). Great place for the price. Only heads up is the staff is not always around mid-day so be sure they know what time you are arriving so they will be there to greet you.
Lovely modern guest house in great location
Couldn't have asked for better! 2 cafes to choose from for b'fast, Sciapo was by far the nicest. Wifi didn't work brilliantly on my phone but seemed fine on my sister's. Would highly recommend.
Comfortable nest in so Italian Trastevere
Cosy, beautiful and clean, the Ripense is easy to find and having the nice breakfasts in cafés 50m from the location is the best way to feel the so Italian energy and coolness of Trastevere. I would definitely go back alone or with hubby: loved it!
Great place to stay
Great place to stay just across the river Tiber, away from the tourist area, about 15-20 mins walk from most of the major sites. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the room is immaculately clean and tidy. Whilst there's no breakfast area inside, staff give you vouchers to use at two lovely nearby eateries.
Nice hotel close to coliseum, forum Roman, Vatican
Was amazing! I enjoyed it, good location the hotel. Rome is ♡♡♡♡♡♡ I love Rome
Great location in Trastevere within walking distance to all sights. The host gave us very good suggestions for lunch and details on how to reach the sites. Rooms are overlooking a main street which can be a bit noisy.
Excellent rooms in excellent location
Stayed for 5 nights at just over £50 per night, which was amazing value. Rooms only. Brilliant location. Room was immaculate, and serviced every day. Staff all friendly and helpful, although only there for limited hours. Breakfast was served in choice of 2 restaurants across the road, and although limited choice (hot drink, OJ, pastry, toast) it was very tasty, and service was excellent. Only negative was noise: from outside (however, we live rurally so not used to city traffic) and lack of soundproofing between our room and next room. Sorted with earplugs for sleeping and all in all had a very lovely stay. Would highly recommend.
I love this place
The is a lovely place. Clean, colorful and roomy. The staff was so accommodating. I enjoyed my stay here so much, I am planning on making this a yearly trip, if it's possible. This place is right by lovely restaurants and the wonderful Tiber river. Beautiful views from my window. This place is so relaxing, I felt like I was in paradise.
Modern hotel In Good location
Helpful and friendly customer service
perfect location
Lovely room, spotlessly clean in a fantastic location. A little road noise which did not bother us. Great sights within easy walking distance and the area itself is fantastic, great eateries, bars, and atmosphere. Perfectly adequate facilities. All in all a wonderful experience.
Perfecto!
In a brilliant location, the guest house was exactly what we wanted: spotlessly clean, great service, good shower and the most deliciously comfortable bed. We'd definitely stay here again.
Not easy to find but nice clean hotel
This is a clean and modern hotel in a good location with plenty of links to public transport. The room and bathroom were clean, well equipped and of a good size. Staff are friendly too. Breakfast is served at two local cafes which is a bit annoying and breakfast is very basic: juice, hot drink and a croissant.

Could not find the hotel in ghetto so booked another place
