Fantastic hotel so clean. A professional outfit and nice little touches like lighting insence outside your room. I had my laundry done and it came back so clean and fresh smelling all nicely folded. The breakfast offers something for everyone and afternoon tea provides some lovely cakes. The swimming pool and quality sun beds and side tables are very comfortable. Shame there isnt more. We loved our stay and it was so convenient to walk to the main area of Chang Mai Thank you. A must stay hotel.
Perfect stay in Chiang Mai
The location was perfect- just out of the hustle and bustle- near River- lovely walking- bridge lights up😊the staff was friendly, professional, extremely helpful. The pool was amazing, rooms beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast is outstanding- lunch snacks great.
A kind professional staff! You know right away that customer service is important to this team. It’s not an overwhelming experience, but a peaceful experience. I like to exercise on my vacations in the pool was perfect for swimming before I went out at night. I also like to walk everywhere possible and was able to find a path directly to restaurants, bars, shopping and clubs basically everything needed. I didn’t plan my stay around the night market, a little disappointed because I would’ve liked to experience it but overall, I didn’t feel I missed out on anything lol. I watched my first Muay Thai event and was surprised that it was a lot more competitive than I expected, and spent a lot of time talking and enjoying conversations with locals. I use Grab and Bolt when I needed a late night ride and extremely simple and affordable. The afternoon snack was perfect timing and the breakfast has plenty of options!! I even did laundry, well I dropped my bag off at the front desk and it came back on time folded!!
This property was truly an oasis with an e Ellen’s breakfast and attentive staff. Highly recommend!
This family friendly property is beautiful and peaceful with excellent service. It is within walking distance of the night bazaar. Their freebreakfast is very good. The staff is lovely.
We definitely enjoyed our stay at Rimping Village! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious and super clean. Having breakfast included with our stay made it a great value too! The location was great, as we could walk easily to the night market. My sister had stayed her two years ago and I was grateful for her suggestion to stay here. I would definitely recommend to others planning a visit to Chaing Mai.
A lovely hotel, staff excellent. Room perfect. Situated a bit off the beaten track but oh so quiet.
Outstanding and helpful staff
Wonderfully quiet and relaxing hotel. Kind helpful staff. Better restaurant facilities would be nice. Breakfast was wonderful though.
Nice little haven in the city with a great pool area and very friendly staff. Within walking distance to the night markets and old city. Once again, great service from all staff members from start to finish.
Older but well maintained property. They have staff attending to the grounds which are immaculate. Very nice place. Breakfast was very good!
Unique traditional style accommodation. A place with ambiance & charm. Staff super helpful. Free bicycles to use. Quiet surroundings.
Quiet location but only a short walk to all the sights and restaurants. Gorgeous little hotel. Friendly, helpful staff.
It was a wonderful experience staying in this hotel. Very clean. Staff were very nice and courteous. I loved their laundry service as well.
Its close to night market and restaurants. Its an older property but worth the stay
Great hotel, nice pool, clean rooms and helpful staff. They provide water and fresh fruit in the rooms daily. Only negative is the location, for a solo female traveller sometimes it felt a bit unsafe walking at night as it’s quite isolated.
Excellent staff and very tidy hotel a 13 min Tuk Tuk to old city. Good b fast in a nice bar/cafe area could do with offering a more diverse food choice but other than that all good !
We love this property to wind down after our long flight to Thailand. This was our third stay and we’ll be back again when we return. Lovely place
An absolute GEM
What can I say, our 3 night trip in Chiang Mai turned into over a week because we loved our stay here so much! We extended several times. The property is so well maintained, the bed and pillows comfortable, the pool area so peaceful, the hotel perks so delicious (breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea), the stagg - THE BEST! They really went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay not only at their hotel but also in Chiang Mai! Cannot say how thankful we were to have fpumd this gem - will definitely return and be siggestimg to everyone I know!
Family Vacation
Stay was excellent. Hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance to Chiangmai Night Bazaar and riverside pubs
Highly recommend!
This hotel was outstanding. The property is tranquil and well-cared for. The staff are kind and attentive. Breakfast and afternoon fruits were wonderfully prepared, and the desk staff provided us with rain gear for our trip to the national park. The room was clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished. The pool area was spotless and could be serviced with drinks all day. The location is walking distance to the night market and we were able to easily get to the old city by foot or tuk tuk as well. The hotel was close to everything but just far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. We would highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.
The hotel facility’s is nice and clean. All of the staff are wonderful.
Love it here
Great place great staff have been twice now.
Really nice accommodations and they offer bikes to ride that make getting around town easy!
Really enjoyed our stay at Rimping Village. It provides a calm oasis in the busyness of the city. Very accessible to the tourist sites and local shops. Food was excellent with lots of breakfast choices. Would highly recommend staying at Rimping Village
Excellent stay clean and large room. Very helpful staff they arranged a motorbike delivered to hotel. Convenient to night buzzar 10-15min walk
Only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer, will happily return on next trip to Thailand. Beautiful gardens surrounding swimming pool, nicely decorated rooms etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
This is a terrific boutique hotel tucked away on the east side of the Ping River. You can escape the noise and hustle of the city and enter a place where a huge banyan tree shades the teak deck where guests sit to enjoy a very nice breakfast or complementary fruit, sticky rice and mango and other great snack options every afternoon. The pool is lovely, the rooms are sound proof and the staff is really helpful about ordering tuk tuks, song taeaws or cars, or providing directions to places. They have family size rooms available with twin beds in one room and a king in the adjoining room, which is hard to find in Chiang Mai.
Holiday stay
Bed were very hard! Loved snack time, and the free drink . Staff were very helpful
A beautiful and elegant hotel with warm hospitality and good service. A true gem in the middle of a village.
An oasis that is conveniently located next to the original Rimping supermarket and just across iron bridge from the night market. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable, the breakfast is amazing and even had Sai Ooua (traditional northern Thai spicy sausage) and sticky rice, one of our favourites. It also had a ln array of western pastries and great coffee. I was so impressed with this hotel and their staff. If we come to Chiang Mai next time we’re in Thailand, we would definitely stay here.
So clean and beautiful. Quiet, peaceful. Breakfast was mediocre
The staff are very friendly and helphul. The property is very clean and comfortable with a unique design, which provides a special experience usually you will not have with a regular hotel. The breakfast is wonderful. It is very close to many interesting local shops and the river. The cost is very reasonable. The are a lot of guests from Europe and North America as well as other Asian countries. My wife and i enjoyed the stay with it. We would like to stay with it again in the future.
Location location location!
We had a lovely stay here. Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms!! Even had fresh fruit and a nespresso in the room. A nice bonus. Breakfast was amazing! We were in walking distance to many restaurants & cafes plus a 15 minute walk to the night market! A great family hotel. The pool was very popular!
Tranquil haven
A great hotel, especially due to the wonderful friendly helpful staff. An island of tranquility but close enough to easily walk into the old town. Very comfortable with an excellent pool at its centre. Very good breakfast. I can’t wait to return!
Happy days
A nice clean hotel . Pleasant staff location is nice .beds very comfortable excellent bathrooms and showers . I would recommend this place to everyone
A great find.
A lovely place to stay. Our family of four stayed here for four nights and could not have been happier. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Breakfast, the afternoon snacks, everything the hotel did entices you to come back. Less than 10 minute walk to the night market as well.
Very handy located near old town. Lots of food nearby. Staff( everyone) treat me like a king. Nice breakfast. Lovely gardens. Definatly will be back. 5-star service!!!
Relaxing break
Hotel is very nice and relaxing staff are friendly rooms are spacious lovely welcome tea on arrival with drinks and hand made deserts my tip use grab we had a car all day for touring for 1500 tb much less traffic than bkk surrounded y mountains
very nice and easy walking to everything.
Very good service, very quiet and close to the city center.
Serenity
An amazing oasis we keep returning too. Cannot fault this place at all. Very peaceful stay once again and the staff cannot do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. We will return when we are back-in Chiang Mai
An amazing getaway near the river
This is a very clean & comfortable resort with nice location (on a quiet local neighborhood street, but still close to the action!)... The thoughtful and attentive staff made our brief stay such a delight: checking-in/out was a breeze; the grounds were beautifully lit & decorated for the Loy Krathong holiday; we were welcomed with delicious snacks+drinks before even going to the room; free bicycles were offered for exploring the area... They also gave us a natural krathong to float during the evening's riverside festivities! All of the in-room amenities (huge Smart TV, DVD player, complimentary facemasks/alcohol spray/extra bottles of water/etc.) were a pleasant surprise, and the Nespresso pod machine was also a treat-- though the cappuccinos served at breakfast were even better! Instead of a standard buffet, they offered all-you-can-eat, made-to-order a la carte food/drink menu options (both local & western), served under an enormous rubber tree next to their gorgeous pool-- what a truly wonderful way to start the day... All in all, one of the best 'value for money' hotels we've stayed at!
Fabulous Rimping village hotel
Had a lovely relaxing time at the Rimping village hotel who instantly upgraded me over a very minor niggle , very kind and caring staff who even waved us off , great service and hotel Would definitely come back again
Wonderful hotel with amazing staff. The room was spacious, the breakfast was outstanding, and the staff were always warm and attentive.
Wonderful stay!
My wife and I took our 8-year old and 5-year old daughters to Chiang Mai for our first visit to Thailand, and Rimping Village Hotel did not disappoint us at all. The staff were eager to help, including booking of massages (outside of hotel), car rides, as well as providing great sightseeing recommendations. The daily breakfast and afternoon tea was amazing, and changes slightly everyday so you don't get tired of it. The swimming pool was small but cozy, providing guests enough space for sun tanning and kids enough room to play around in open space. Basically you can stay all day in the hotel if you want, but the location is also convenient as it's in walking distance to night bazaar, supermarket, and traditional market as well. You can also borrow hotel bicycles to go around Chiang Mai. All in all, it was a wonderful stay for our family, and we highly recommend it as the hotel to stay in Chiang Mai.
100% Cleanliness and serene yet very nearby to Iron bridge :)
Lovely small hotel in a quiet but convenient location. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Good location close to all the markets and city center. Warm rustic vibe, very clean and well tended. Supermarket and excellent restaurant on the water right down the street. Lunch or dinner around 500 baht/ less than 20 dollars u.s! Loved my stay here, staff is wonderful, grounds are very nice, very happy with my stay!!!!!
This is a lovely, quiet place to stay that is within walking distance of the Night Bazaar. Staff are super attentive and helpful making sure that everything is as it should be. The rooms are clean and updated. The only thing that I would have like is 4 Espresso pods instead of 2 for us.😊 The breakfast buffet has a good selection. The mango sticky rice was my favorite!
Good hotel
Hotel was good, staff very attentive, close to the river, quite location. Breakfast choices could use upgrading. Very nice shuttle pick up, staff with name awaiting at arrival. Nice touch. Street to main drag was isolated wouldn’t recommend for women. Nice pool, will stay here again.
Rimping village is a very lovely place to stay in and the staff is excellent
Great location. The facilities were clean and very comfortable. It was a little oasis, peaceful and calm. The pool was lovely as well. Good. Breakfasts offering both Asian and Western choices. The staff were attentive and helpful.
Comfortable resort feel with nice sunny pool
Staff were really good. Everyone is friendly. Check-in was good and they gave us options for early check out by booking taxi or packed breakfast. The bikes were a really nice way to move around and the location is just perfect for a short walk around the river and loop the night bazaar.
Great hotel
Loved this hotel! The grounds were quiet and lovely yet walking distance to the night market and temples. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
Best hotel in Chiang May
The hotel advertisement does not reflect the reality on positive side. Actually the Hotel is far better than described on the site. Starts with location. It is close to the old city and night market. The service is 6 stars, from check-in to check-out. During the check-in, the lady explained the city and give us some tip on places, then she went to the room and explained in detail the room facilities. The room is comfortable and supper clean with free bottles of water and fruits every day. They have amenities that normally we don't see in other hotels like free afternoon free snacks with fresh fruits, free bikes to ride around. The breakfast is fantastic with wide varieties. But; again, the most important thing for me was the service, they always are smiling and truthfully interested in serve you as best as they can. LOVED.
Resort liked hotel
Hotel with resort design, located away from busy street but easy access to old town and some good restaurants. Caring and friendly staff. They offered airport transfer because we stayed for 5 nights.
Very clean and extremely friendly service. I would recommend visiting here again.
The staff was.auper friendly and helpful. Great breakfast
Enjoyable stay
Really enjoyable. Lovely boutique hotel in good location for night market & old town
Rimping village Chiangmai
The rimping village hotel is a relaxing environment and the staff are very friendly and helpful with excellent customer service, I would highly recommend to everyone to stay. My thanks to all the staff who made my stay enjoyable and stress free.
Perfect spot for relaxation!
AT first glance I wasn’t sure why this hotel had such good ratings, but after staying here I totally agree. I’ve lived in Thailand for a while and this was by far the best customer service I’ve ever experienced and that includes expensive 5 star hotels. There are several things that are just well thought out. Free afternoon snacks, free bikes, free fresh fruit, They give you a map upon arrival and explain the local sights. They will arrange for tours or car rentals if you need. The rooms aren’t very large but they are extremely quaint and comfortable. Our room was a deluxe and had a 55” flat screen that allowed us to sign into our Netflix. I absolutely loved the built in natural lighting. I’m getting up in age and can’t stand rooms with low lighting NOR those super bright bug zapping florescent lights. The internet was fantastic. I signed in the first day and was connected until checkout 4 days later. The bathroom was cute and had a rain shower and bathtub. We ordered room service and it arrived with a smile in only 20 minutes There was a pool but due to the bad air pollution we didn’t go outside much. But I will be back and use it next time!
Great place
Great property, just outside the centre but close enough to walk to the main places. Great attentive staff and really lovely pool. Very clean, comfortable bed and a perfect stay
Friendly and helpful staff
Quiet environment. Friendly and helpful staff. Awesome free tea time, however, breakfast was so so.
The location was great as it was out of the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai but just a short walk into town for restaurants and sights etc
Couple vacation in Chan Mai.
The hotel is very hospitable, the local staff tries to make you very welcome and every request is processed. Breakfast is great by European standard. We had the pleasure to use the hotel twice, and got two different rooms. the rooms are spacious with a big bath room. The Hotel is situated 5min drive by Taxi or Tuktuk from the night markets and the old city. There one can find charming temples , street food and souvenirs.
AMAZING PLACE
This is a very nice hotel, all the people who works showed an amazing actitude of service to me and my family. We were a family of four. It is quite easy to move from the hotel to the main spots of Chiang Rai, either by "tuk-tuk" which is very common in Thailand of by taxi. In the reception they try to help you in any request and the place is just lovely. If you want a quite and very relaxing accomodation, this is the place for you!
Very good hotel, very clean, very good service, we love this hotel, the room very big and good
What a wonderful authentic hotel, would stay again with no hesitation, relaxing but a short walk from the hustle and bustle. The staff could not do enough for you, the restaurant food was excellent
Friendly, clean, quiet, nice location. Excellent in every way.
Best hotel in Chiang Mai
What can you say about the Rimping village hotel that probably hasn't been said already. It's a jem, an oasis of calm just minutes from the bright light and noise of the city centre. The staff are friendly and always interested in how your day has gone, or what you have planned, the pool area is clean with plenty of beds that shade you from the midday sun, the rooms are large and very clean, fresh water and fruit daily, it's a perfect hotel for anyone seeking simple luxury at an affordable price. Best hotel in Chiang Mai, it's a offically a 4 star hotel, but 5 star attention to detail, beautiful place.
The property had a traditional Thai feel to it. It was clean, friendly, homey. Loved everything from the moment we stepped out of the airport through getting dropped back off at the airport. We had no issues locating our transportation which we set up with the hotel. Their service is phenomenal!! They had staff around the clock- everything was great. Their staff was so helpful in every little thing we did. They set up and negotiated all our transportation and fares. Breakfast buffet was great. Basically everything about this hotel was GREAT! If I ever return to Chiangmai- I will be staying here again. There was a small hiccup with our transportation back to the airport but they fixed that immediately. I highly recommend this hotel
Chiang Mai is a “must visit”...
Our hotel was nice. I would stay there again. It was close to the old city. The room was very nice. The breakfast and afternoon snack were good. The pool was delightful after a hot day. The hotel had bicycles for our use. I would say that the hotel staff was exceptional (and they were!), except that good, polite service seems to be universal in Southeast Asia. One day we visited the Tigers, the insect museum, and a crocodile exhibit. The bugs were big (even my wife loved it), the crocs were fascinating, and the tigers were fabulous. The temple on top the mountain was my favorite temple in Thailand.
Excellent hotel with the most friendly and helpful staff
Great hotel with nice staff and pool, good location, food, rooms (TVs with NETFLIX capability) - this was real luxury at not too high a price.
Very pleasant hotel in a quiet area.
Hotel very comfortable with really friendly and helpful staff. Arrived 8.30 am from the station and expected only to be able to leave our bags at reception as check in is normally 14.00 but we’re told we could have our room from 9.00 and our bags had already been taken up there. Small hotel but very well appointed and staff were always polite and happy to help. Even dried out my shoes for me after a wet trip into the mountains. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Family holiday - 5 nights
Great family room, lovely breakfast, staff were super polite and helpful. We ordered a tuk tuk every evening to the night market for dinner which the hotel called when needed, very close to main city but tucked away from all the smog!
RIMPING VILLAGE
STAFF BRILLIANT CLEAN AND LOCATION EXCELLENT, I am a very experienced traveller and this is one of the best holidays ever.
Best hitel
Beautiful hotel, staff all extremely helpful & polite. Pool fantastic for kids (9 & 7) Room large & clean. Restaurant great. Would love to come back & stay @ Rimping Village again
peaceful and nice ambience
booking directly with hotel is better than booking through Expedia. The rate you showed on the findings is misleading as you charged tax and fees which in total make no difference to other booking agent or book directly. Felt like a fool to understand that your booking is cheaper. stupid
Haven of peace
Off a busy unprepossessing back street into the lovely quiet well manicured grounds of the hotel. Friendly helpful staff, nice restaurant and choice of sunny or shaded sun loungers round the pool. 100m down an alley and back to the busy hubbub of Chiang Mai. Close to the “Iron Bridge” and convenient for restaurants and the night market.
4 day trip
A four day trip to Chiang Mai. Some sightseeing & other activities. The hotel is comfortable with very friendly & helpful staff.
An amazing place. Staff friendly and very helpful. Location ideal.
Best place to stay in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
This was the BEST hotel in Thailand that we stayed at during our 24 Day vacation. We felt like we were staying with family. The staff were wonderful and all spoke English which made it even more comfortable. The rooms was immaculate as was the bathroom. The food was excellent. The property is beautiful. Convenient to walking distance from anything you might want. I would always stay here in any future trips the Chiang Mai.
Fantastic boutique hotel! Spacious & beautiful!
Travelling with husband & 2 boys (10&12). We all loved Rimping! Beautiful inside & out, great pool, well maintained, stunning grounds. Lovely staff who look after you! Great breakfast variety & quality! Surprise afternoon tea with great selection of thai treats! Walking distance to night bazaar. Can't recommend enough! Check out theadventureobjective for more details
Location is good but bath tub was stuck which need a fixing
Stay here.
This is the spot to stay. The staff and room are wonderful.
A great hotel in Chiang Mai
Very comfortable hotel with an exceptional staff. I feel that the strongest feature is the assistance and knowledge of the staff, who made sure we got to do everything we wanted to do. Kate even got us into the Elephant Nature Park even though the website had them officially sold out for a month. The rooms are large and comfortable, the brunch was wonderful in both selection and taste. Free airport transfers are a great feature as well and went very smoothly. Convenient location to the central city and the night market. We would stay here again.
Top resort
Great
We love everything about this little piece of serenity, especially the lovely staff who go out of their way to help in any way they can. Close to night market, supermarket great riverside restaurant.
Truly lovely hotel
The staff members are friendly, helpful and efficient and genuinely show concern for the well being of their guests. The location is a little way from the old town but night markets, restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance. Don't be put off by the surrounding area - it's safe, quiet and the locals are very friendly. Large supermarket and convenience store nearby and an abundance of laundries who will wash and dry for you or you can do it yourself, hotel also has laundry service. Swimming pool and garden area are immaculate. Hotel has a restaurant with indoor and outdoor eating areas, breakfast buffet has a good selection of food with some dishes cooked to order. Overall this hotel is very, very clean and well maintained. Ideal for families, couples and solo travellers. Spent two weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend
A beautiful place to stay and relax. Really well designed and maintained with friendly helpful staff. A lovely experience.
Excellent hotel, central tonight markets!
The staff was extremely helpful in planning our trip and calling transportation as required.
A great base for a visit to Chiang Mai
A really relaxing stay, in a very good hotel. The staff helpfulness was what made our stay extra special. Normally we would not eat in any hotel we stay in but due to poor weather we are dinner on three occasions and the food and service were exceptional.
The staff was very nice and the room were very clean. The locations I'd las close to the market and the temples.
Good hotel. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. Good location. Maybe a little expensive.
Family stay
Friendly helpful staff that speak English. Good location, slightly out of town but walking distance. Dont forget Uber! Very useful in chiang mai. The hotel can pick you up from airport for 300 bht. Clean hotel, big rooms.
Rimping Village Hotel
Nice hotel with friendly staffs and satisfactory facilities... however a tad far from the night bazaar area. A lot of mosquito in room and at the restaurant.
Awesome hotel for families
We stayed at Rimping Village for 6 nights with our two boys (7 and 5 years old). Overall we had a great time! We had a family room which was really spacious, clean and well furnished. The pool was awesome - water warm. We couldn't get our kids out of it. The location was perfect - very close to the Night Market and shops and eateries. A really good Supermarket with a cafe is super close too. Perhaps the best thing about Rimping Village is its staff. They really look after you and are personable and attentive to detail. We would definitely recommend this place and wish to come back one day.
