Great location. Spacious, comfortable room. The staff just couldn’t do enough for us and were very helpful in warning us about the tourist pitfalls in the city.

A Heartwarming Stay in Marrakech

My mother and I had the most wonderful stay at Riad Rafaele! The location is absolutely perfect, a bit hidden from the rustle and bustle of the medina but simultaneously situated within a short walking distance to most of the main attractions and popular restaurants. The neighborhood was also perfect for stumbling upon all sorts of souk gems. But by far the best part of staying here was the warm welcome and daily accommodations provided by the staff and hotel owners. My mother and I have never felt safer and more well taken care of at another hotel and for that we are very grateful. Thank you Riad Rafaele for a setting the sweetest tone for a trip of a lifetime!

Even the French can’t find anything to criticise about Riad Rafaele! A little oasis of peace in the middle of the busy Medina. The staff is amazing and always goes the extra mile to accommodate. The bedrooms are large, clean and welcoming and the massages very needed after a long day walking in the Souk. Definitely recommend this property.

If you prefer inside Medina, this is nice place , staff friendly and very nice

Nice place, sketchy to get

We had the most amazing stay at Riad Rafaele. From the welcome we received on arrival to the morning we left it was perfect. It is an oasis of tranquillity. Great location for walking to the souks and major attractions. The riad itself has been restored by the owners and is beautifully decorated. We stayed in one of the suites which was very spacious and clean. Valerie, the owner, was charming and very welcoming and helpful. She really cares that her guests have everything they need and have the best experience. The staff are brilliant, helpful and friendly, amazing customer service. Houssaine was fantastic and arranged a tuk tuk to take us to a dinner booking and back which was a great experience. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was lovely and fresh. We loved staying here and it genuinely felt like we were staying with good friends. We will definitely stay again when we return to Marrakech. Merci Valerie, Houssaine, Ridouan and Ibrahim.

Lovely road in medina

We arrived from Agafay desert and the reception organised a cart pull servant to pick us up which was an experience. The Road was inside the medina and the reception was really welcoming. The room were really beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. We also had time to get a quick massage upstairs and a swim. Hussein the night receptionist was also very helpful and made sure our taxi pick up was reserved for our early morning transport to the airport. We had breakfast at 8am but we didn’t get the egg omelet I gues we had early breakfast (8am) they didn’t have the eggs delivered yet( we saw it coming up around 8:20 so was probably too late for us to consume any eggs). The chef and Hussein was really helpful and attentive The masseurs were also really iood and I felt refreshed. I also liked the mini shop for a wee doubt. Definitely come back for a longer stay

Look no further, this is the place to stay!

Such a beautiful, clean, amazing location! I did lots of research on where to stay and im so glad i chose this place. The entrance seems a bit hidden but once you get into the riad, you discover such a gorgeous location. Everyone was extremely helpful and even had the opportunity to meet the owner who was friendly and assisted us with an issue himself. The food here is so good! The chicken tagine was the best i had in Morocco! Definitely going back here when i return!

This was the most amazing and hospitable Riad! And it is absolutely stunning. The 2 gentleman working (sorry, I forgot their names) were so great and gave excellent advice for local restaurants and tips. This was the best stay in our whole 2 week vacation in Morocco.

Absolutely beautiful riad!! Our room was amazing and very spacious and the location is perfect. The staff was so sweet and accommodating and gave us great recommendations- and got us a reservation for the best meal we had in Marrakech! We also loved having breakfast on the beautiful rooftop. We loved staying here and will definitely recommend to friends!

We stayed here to celebrate my wife's birthday, where Thomas and Valerie were amazing throughout. There team were so helpful and looked after all 8 of us throughout our 3 night stay. I look forward to staying again.

The Riad was a nice haven away from hustle and bustle of the markets. The owners were very helpful with tips during our stay. All of the staff were very accomodating. I especially likes that there was the shaded lounge areas to cool down after a long hot day but if you wanted some sun the terrace had plenty of areas to sit. Meals and drinks were lovely and tasty

Our stay at Riad Rafaele was perfect! The Riad is stunning as was our room. The pool is lovely and the rooftop is so nicely furnished and comfortable and quiet, an oasis in the bustling medina. The massages are great too and reasonably priced. When we arrived, Marwan greeted us with tea and info about the Medina which was enormously helpful. He even helped us in negotiating the return of a jacket we had left in a taxi. I can’t rave enough about Riad Rafaele! My only complaint is that the bar wasn’t always fully stocked with alcoholic beverages, but that’s a minor issue considering that most of Marrakech is alcohol free.

Beautiful riad in a perfect location!

Don’t look any further, book this riad! My wife and I stayed here during our time in Marrakech. The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming and the property itself is a dream. We enjoyed watching the sunsets and drinking wine from the rooftop patio. We also booked a couples hamman (traditional Moroccan bath)/ massage and I’m still dreaming about the experience.

This Riad was lovely. Clean and quiet. The food at the on-site restaurant was very good. The room was comfortable and the pool was great to have after some long days out. The stand out was Marwan (manager/concierge ?). He was so helpful and fun to chat with. He made our experience a step above what we expected.

Hidden gem in the middle of the Medina

Staff and management were amazing, wenotvoutvonf their way to make you feel welcome. Rooms were spotless and well kept. The organised tours for us and the drive Yassine was incredible. We dinner in a number of evenings and the food outstanding.

Very nice Riad experience in Marrakech!

I wanted to have the experience of staying in a Riad in the middle of Marrakech. This fit the bill! As with any old city, the taxi could not drop us off directly in front of the Riad so someone from the Riad picked us up from the closest parking lot. The hotel was well-kept, considering how old it was. It gives you an idea of how people lived in this The breakfasts and dinners they served were very tasty, freshly made too. The staff was super-super helpful, for which I was very thankful. One of my ID cards fell from my luggage, they found it and immediately sent it to the next hotel where we were staying. I would highly recommend.

I strongly reccommend Riad Rafaelle. The riad is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located within the old medina near the markets and a few restaurants. The small pool in the courtyard is a great way to cool off mid-day after exploring the city. The staff are excellent - I have never experienced such great customer service before.

Riad Rafaele

A stunning riad hidden amongst the maze like streets of the old Marrakech medina. Tricky to find as access is off a side alley through an old tunneled walk way but plenty of "helpful" locals will show you for a few dirhams ( they'll push it but be firm 20 is plenty. It's only a couple of hundred meters from where the taxi drops you off. Cars can't get there as the road is too narrow. A short walk is fun! You have no idea what is inside as you stand on the crumbling street, with a couple of local cats for company. When the door opens, it's a whole new world! The room was amazing, huge, luxurious, the reception was friendly with welcoming tea and biscuits. The plunge pool under the central garden of citrus trees was icy cold. Perfect to cool down from the hot day outside. The room had exquisite furnishings and architecture. So happy to have found this gem.

Quiet retreat from the mayhem of the medina

This is our second stay at this riad and it’s still a beautiful place in a secluded location. The souk as a whole has deteriorated quite significantly from my first visit two years ago. The street con artists are now using threats and intimidation more often and it’s really starting to get out of hand... I had 5 confront me all at once for money and got to the point of squaring up to me and pushing and shoving. Nothing I couldn’t handle but would have been very scary for ordinary tourists. I’ve travelled all over the world and never experienced that level of aggression. When I was at the airport waiting to depart I got talking to another English couple and they had exactly the same happen to them. Someone needs to take control.

I went to Marrakech with my mother and after spending hours researching Riad's I found Riad Rafaele. The minute we arrived at the airport, our requested airport transfer was there to pick us up without us having to worry about calling. Then we drove to the Medina and the hotel manager was there to meet us and take us to our Riad. The minute we entered inside, my mother and I fell in love with the place. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, from providing us with a map and a list of top sites we should visit and how to get there. We decided to have dinner at the Riad our first night and it did not disappoint. Loved every minute of my stay at Riad Rafaele.

Absolutely fabulous, 5 star with the personal touch, makes you feel like royalty with your own retinue of servants to look after your every need, beats the pants off big hotels, total luxury

Wonderfully authentic Riad!

Riad Rafaele is a calm oasis after the hectic bustle of the souk and Marrakech in general. I really enjoyed my stay there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Riad to anyone. It rightly deserves all the glowing reviews - the staff are wonderful, the beds are very comfortable - and Beija is the most relaxed cat in Morocco! You won't regret staying here.

Cosy, central and welcoming!

The Riad Raffaele is a cosy and beautiful property in the heart of the Souks. We felt at home the moment we arrived to fresh mint tea and cookies. The location is good, but the surrounding area itself is a little difficult to maneuver at night so I recommend knowing exactly where to go once it gets dark to avoid getting lost. The breakfast was lovely and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The rooms are basic and the showers aren't very inviting but aside from that this place is a 10!

This riad is beautiful! A bit hard to find, but we loved the neighborhood. I emailed with the friendly owners and we had a great experience. I recommend this place!

Shocking customer service. The manager on site was not helpful at all. We cut our trip short and checked out early.

Traditional Riad in Historic Medina

Tucked inside the historic Medina area, this is a traditional riad with lots of charm. I'd like to give a special thank you to the owner/manager for sending an email immediately after I booked with info on transportation for arrival and then when I checked in I received a map with step-by-step directions for getting back from the square. It worked! I enjoyed my stay. (One bit of advice: new towels. The scratchy ones in my room weren't up to the quality of the rest of the riad.) Very good breakfast.

Riad Rafele was an excellent Riad in the heart of Marrakech. Beatifully decorated, roomy, quiet, and neat. The staff are excellent: very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. A little paradise in the center of all the madness of the Medina.

Wonderful Riad

This Riad is an oasis in the desert. Beautifully appointed comfortable relaxing and an amazing place to relax away from the huddle and bustle of the Medina. The owners and staff will help organise all your tours and sightseeing to help make your staff in Marrakech unforgettable. The spa and Hamam is amazing and a must for any tired traveller. You couldn't chose a better place to stay in Marakech.

Peaceful Riad in good location

Owner is great and helps alot. Food in the Riad is also very good. Clean, quiet and seems very safe inside. Minutes walk to the main square and markets.

Wonderful oasis

The Riad was amazing. We were welcomed by the staff with tea and biscuits and they were really helpful in terms of travel tips and where to eat. They also printed out our flight tickets and served breakfast at 6am for us. Really appreciated. The courtyards is so beautiful and we loved our room, which was beautifully designed. There is a small paddle pool on the courtyard but is more of a dip pool than a swimming pool:-) So if you are looking for a holiday where you stay by the pool, this is probably not it. But if you just need a place where to hide from all the craziness and heat outside, and relax, this is an oasis.

The Riad Rafaele was amazing. Great location, accomodations and the owners set us up on some wonderful private tours, arranged pickup and drop off from the airport and gave us great reccomendations for dinner nearby.

Es waren traumhafte paar Tage im Raffaele. Die Mitarbeiter haben sich rührend bemüht und waren sehr freundlich. Auch die Besitzer waren regelmäßig vor Ort und haben Tipps gegeben. Das Frühstück war gut. Ich kann das Riad jedem empfehlen.

Our stay in Riad Rafaele was amazing. The riad is very well located, literally some steps from the souk, but it remains calm, I had the impression to leave in the country side. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. We received a lot of helpful tips from everyone. We had the chance to book a massage, best decision ever, it was amazing. I loved the decoration of the riad, it is bright and full of light. A big thanks to Thomas, Valerie & the staff for their hospitality 😊

This place is a true oasis!!! The rooms and the entire riad are modern and bright. The breakfast is excellent for a balanced start to the day. Thomas and his team are indescribably lovely and read every wish from your eyes and do everything to ensure that you have the best time there. Due to my asthma, we were allowed to change rooms on request, as the first one had no proper way of ventilating at night. The only thing I could „criticize“ would be the dust on the lamps hanging 3 metres high 😜 Thank you again and hope do be with you again very soon 😊

Très beau riad avec une décoration très aboutie ! Le personnel acceuîllant. Seuls bémols ils n’ont pas voulu venir nous chercher au taxi à 200 mètres. Heureusement nous avions de l’internet. Le petit déjeuner est un peu en dessous de ce qu’on nous propose habituellement dans les riads
