Such a nice place with incredible hosts. Perfect yo escape the intensity of the medina
The hotel was wonderful and relaxing after our two weeks in Morocco. We visited the spa for massages and facials which were great. The location was good from the main square and soils as well as other restaurants and sites. The breakfast had a lot of variety and good food. Sino, at the front desk, was extremely helpful and patient with our questions. He went above and beyond to make sure it was a great stay. I definitely recommend this hotel for your time in Marrakech.
Nice place!
Very nice place to stay! The staff is really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and confortable.
The property made it easy to get to and from the markets, and they provide a service to help get your luggage to and from the airport !
Really well situated close to the souk and easy walking to all areas of interest within the city walls. Beautifully furnished and decorated property, and very helpful, welcoming staff.
The Riad is pretty. The rooms for sharing are small. The staff was excellent and helpful. The restaurant was not open on at least three of the four nights we were there and there is no bar. The spa treatments were great. The rooftop area was nice. You need to be able to do a lot of stairs.
Great property in the middle of the action of the medina. Staff were attentive and provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and sights ( Plus a custom map provided to guests). The rooftop terrace was an excellent spot to relax after a day of walking in the crowded streets!
It was right in the medina shopping area but was so beautifully quiet. The hotel smelled of roses, just lo ely.
Marakesh
Highly recommend staying here... staff were very friendly & helpful (nothing was too much trouble)... Central location. Would definitely stay again.
Delightful Hotel in the old Medina
Riad Palais des Princesses is a lovely hotel. Highbend 4* by European standards. Very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Down an alley in the old town you need to hire a porter to take you from the taxi drop off to the hotel. The hotel consists of a number of old Riads joined together - lots of stairs and low door ways. Delightful but difficult if you cannot manage stairs well. Only 5 mins walk from the main square its very central. Really safe to walk around.
After booking my stay, I emailed the property about a concern i had about arriving at the Riad, I also phoned to make confirmation. Malek was very responsive and reassuring. Upon my arrival I was met with kindness and respect, all the staff were friendly and greeted me every time I saw them. Simon was very informative and super kind, he always made sure I was well and had everything I needed. At one pount in my trip I became unwell, and he got chef to bring me tea and offered me medicine very concerned. The Riad is elegant in Moroccan charms, with many original features, the room was comfortable and spacious (Dalia) and daily breakfasts was a varied selection of delights. All the staff were very accomodating, and kind. I loved my time at Princessess, and if I returned to Merrakech I would definitely re-book. Super hospitality. THANK YOU
Super friendly hospitality very unique we just love. Thank you Rachid, abdelMalak, and everyone. Food and restaurant were just superb
It was unsafe
Very unique property, like a fairytale setting. Lovely rooms and nice small pool that was a very welcome retreat from the heat of the day. Although the pool was small we were lucky in that it never got crowded, just us four and the odd otherperson or two popping in. Rooftop was great too, v very comfortable loungers and quiet. Fly free. Nice breakfast. Staff were excellent. Great location near to the main Jamaa el Fanaa square , 3 minute walk. Would definitely return.
Arrived in the evening Easy check in Within a short time of arrival the electrics started flickering and whilst in the shower all the lights went off…pitch black and unable to properly navigate around. Went to complain and the maintenance person came and you could see sparks flying from the fuse box, they said it was safe but the lights still kept flickering. Didn’t feel it was safe to plug anything in to charge. No apologies by the staff and no compliments for the inconvenience or acknowledgement of my concern The room itself was nice however the ac was poor and our room was situated on the roof - even with my experience of hot climates I was not prepared for the room temperature The fridge didn’t keep cold and no refill of the complimentary water on the second day The room and hotel was decorated lovely and the plunge pool was a welcome treat. The offer airport runs but found this was more expensive than getting a taxi outside. Located close to the main square and easy to navigate but needed Google maps to get us there the first night If you have mobility issues this will not be the place for you as it has a lot of narrow and uneven stairs with no proper hand rails Was disappointed by the service especially and didn’t get any of the perks of being a hotels.com vip
Absolutely incredible staff. The riad is also very beautifully maintained. I'd live to return one day.
The riad felt like a museum, very nice historic interiors in the room as well as in public areas. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of options, including vegetarian, and varied every day. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which made want to come back to this hotel again. Thank you!
Lovely staff, would go out of their way to help. They did threw a lovely birthday surprise for a friend traveling with us. One of the single rooms on the ground floor didn't have a window which felt a bit claustrophobic at night. Some of the rooms were a bit dusty. Breakfast was ok. The morroccan breads were nice as was the goats cheese and honey. Central Riad, had a welcome smell of orange blossom as we arrived was very welcoming.
Beautiful property. Amazing and friendly staff that go above and beyond
Beautiful property. Wonderful staff
This is a beautiful Riad near the busy square, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Best thing was coming back from a busy, noise street to this hidden, peaceful place. Service at reception was good and attentive. Maybe improve on replying emails&mensagens more promptly. Food was very good, and team very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely day at the hammam. Overall I fully recommend Palais des Princesses.
Beautiful place
This hotel was so lovely! True feeling of Moroccan beauty. I felt like a princess staying there. Service was a Top-notch! Chef Hennana was so wonderful and beyond accommodating with my dietary restrictions. Made me an amazing Moroccan dish that I will always remember.
Very elegant design. Wide variety of breakfast options. Tasty food. Helpul staff. Very clean. Warm pool. No issues, very much happy with our stay and highly recommended.
Property is located right in the Medina and very convenient for exploring old town. But because it’s in the Medina the taxi can’t pull right up to it and so you have to drag your luggage through the Medina. Service is a bit haphazard and there are no elevators which can be challenging for older guests or guests with knee problems. Beautiful property though
Beautiful riad and very close to all attractions
Fabulous riad
Loved our stay for a family of four. Excellent location, charming historic riad. Wonderful Hammam.
It was bliss, beautiful, and staff were over the top friendly and helpful. Will be booking again.
Fantastic property with very helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast and very central for both squares and easily walkable to all areas. Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved our stay.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The service is beyond impeccable. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. Plus they have the most beautiful cat that lives in the property. She’s very friendly and cuddly to come “home” to at the end of the day. Highly highly recommend staying here.
Beautiful Riad with wonderful staff. Very accommodating and genuinely friendly
Five Star Stay! We just spent a week here with two kids. Lovely property - five minute walk to Jama El Fana but nicely tucked away in a quiet bylane. Rooms were very nice and comfortable and breakfast was generous. They have a lovely terrace to soak up the sun. Very happy with the stay and will visit again.
Average stay
The staff wee friendly, good location, quiet and nice rooftop. The beds are very hard and pillows are not comfortable. It didn't look so much like the pictures. Food was ok.
Just beautiful!
This is a gorgeous hotel with warm, friendly staff and a delicious buffet breakfast. Very conveniently located.
Great location. Close to many little shops and restaurants. The location is a perfect distance from all the noise. So the room is very peaceful and quiet. My only issue was the internet. The Speedtest shows very high speed, and it is. However it is extremely flickery so it’s impossible to have a call over the internet without the call dropping for a few seconds saying “reconnecting.”
Very nice Riad in the Medina area. Malik, at the front desk, was super nice and always helpful
We love this gorgeous place.
The property was really nice. In the centre kf everything. Staff was nice. I loved the smell of rose water all iver the place. The only problem we had was on the 2nd day the aircon broke and it was leaking although they fixed straight away.
Nice hotel good location.
The decor is overdone and not pretty. The hammam experience was not good. The women were great but the facility was awful
This hotel rooms were really small. They look bigger on the picture. Found hair in the bed. No small wash towel. No pool towel in the room or by the pool. My room was next to the cleaning people. The area was dark when I come back at night to unlock my room.
Enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff & convenient location. Would recommend.
First time to Morocco…this hotel was an excellent choice. Had a hot shower and slept well! It was very quiet even though it is very close to the busy areas. Staff was outstanding.
Lovely riad, the man on the front desk at night arranged bus tickets for our trip to Essaouira and was super helpful. Perfect stay with good breakfast.
Once again the “Palace” didn’t disappoint !!! This is my third stay, and as always I was treated like royalty 👸 A hidden gem right off Jamas el-fna. If you are looking for a place to rest and refreshed after spending a day in Marrakech this is it ! I like it so much I will be booking a stay there for friend’s 10th anniversary. I know that Malak and the rest of the staff will make them feel just as welcomed as I have been.. from the welcome pot of mint tea until the final good bye.🙏
This riad was so beautiful like a mini palace with a beautiful courtyard, rooftop terrace and crystal chandeliers everywhere. But the most great thing about this property was the super friendly staff. Everyone was truly nice and kind and also helped us with so many things. There was No restaurant, but there was a breakfast buffet service and the food was very tasty. Since the location was great, which was in Marrakech's Medina quarter, we could walk everywhere for food, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. We would LOVE to visit there again.
I can’t say enough good things about this “palace”. Friendly and accommodating staff. Malik responded to phone request one week before arrival and made suggestion to make arrival and departure smoother. Beautifully appointed, charming riad. It resembles it’s name. You are treated like royalty. This is my second visit. I plan on sending friends here for their anniversary. I will book here for myself again as well.
👍👍👍👍
Lovely
Such friendly staff, who would go above and beyond to help you. Really lovely stay, quiet and tranquil, beautifully decorated, lovely roof terrace
My room was too small.
It was really a enchanted place i will recommended to everyone!!!!! is Majestic!!!
Great riad, excellent location.
Excellent location - straight forward and quick walk to the main square. Stunning riad. Con. We asked to be picked up by the hotel at the airport. The driver did not show up until we called the hotel and inquired. Both parties blamed eaxh other for their lack of communication
Convenient and comfortable
Had a great time In Marrakech, Riad is in a convenient position inly minutes from the main square. Staff were friendly however breakfast wasn’t great. I left my shoe there and have emailed but no one has responded so that’s disappointing. Overall the road is nice however basic and comfortable
Is like a real paradise is betiful and the people is very profecional and very friendly i super clean safe the rooms is exceptional
Friendly and helpful staff. Aircon failed.
The rooms are nice and the staff very friendly but i had to changed room 3 times because the airconditioning did not work properly and July in Morocco is very very hot! This is in a good location inside the medina just a few minutes of walk and after one day and an offline gps map, you'll easily remember where to turn but getting lost is part of the trip unfortunately.
Definitely not 5 star.Independent Riad better opti
Booked 1st 2 days in a traditional Riad with courtyard......all to ourselves and next 2 days in supposedly this 5 star hotel. The other Riad surpassed the expectations by miles and was 100 times better than this so called 5 star.....both nearly same price. We're made to wait for nearly an hour at reception (of course with omnipresent drink of Morocco - Mint Tea).....while filling forms, telling that the booking they received was for 5th guest as child (which as per them should have been under 12......and as per hotel.com under 18). We were nearly forced to pay extra for our 17 year old 3rd daughter even as we booked triple room for kids. Same was done for upgrading to a bit bigger room as double for us couple was nearly 8x8ft room. Wasn't that busy but we succumbed to paying for bit larger room (still not with a separate seating area.....just a sofa in the same long room). Kindly allowed unlimited access to pool.....which is in next building.....without changing room there. So you've to walk in bathrobe from your room to next building. Asked for adding American breakfast around 10pm lasy night......but was told that its too late to arrange ingredients. Think 5 star is wrong rating for this one.
First time Morocco visit must see
If you’ve never been to Moracco or never been To Marrakesh please stay here. This RIAD is a palace in Paradise. The rooms are spacious. The staff are professional and super friendly Please let Waafe and Kamil assist you with your stay. Their spa sets a high standard of zen and relaxation If you desire a wonderful tour and/or transportation, use the WhatsApp and contact Haasan at +212 605 950972. This was my first trip to morocco and I brought my daughter, I made an excellent choice
Very comfortable and great location
A very clean and comfortable hotel in a great location for those wanting to stay in the medina, close to Jma El Fna.
beautiful stay
Finding the hotel was a little trivial, but the hotel was comfortable and clean. I would recommend it.
the staff was great, roof deck was relaxing, rose petals were a sweet touch.
Definitely recommended.
Staff was really kind and helpful, they upgraded our room and were friendly the whole time. They offer ride to/from airport with charge and I really recommend take it because Marrakech streets can be confusing if you are not familiar with the city.
Lovely and convenient accommodation
Amazing Riad . Very clean and comfortable. Personnel also very helpful and friendly. However downside is that no elevators so don’t bring a lot of luggage 😊
Very cute, clean. The location is not the best as is hidden but inside the property is beautiful!
Service and staff were very good. Breakfast was very complete.
I give five stars for everything. staffs were pretty nice and a room we stayed was clean and comfortable.
Honestly manager, Mohamed not friendly. No phone in room and no tea coffee maker. Very difficult to find
A gem amongst the dirty streets. Clean and nice rooms. Breakfast excellent and helpful staff. Great location I am a light sleeper and the cleaners hovering around 7am sweeping and cleaning clean floors, the noise from guests walking past at night or early morning and noise from the courtyards meant poor sleep. I should have taken ear plugs. Shame they didn't offer other meals or a roof terrace. Or maybe there was? Summery: super location with a clean and comfortable room. Staff excellent. Lots of people noise.
The staff is second to none. Location is perfect and the entire experience surpassed our expectations. Thank you. Will definitely come back!
I would not stay here again. It's a good thing I had gotten a good deal on this stay. I wouldn't pay full price here.
Want to go back.
They really went above and beyond. My luggage was delayed a full day. They got me back to the airport made things so easy. The location is perfect, but the buildings themselves are BEAUTIFUL! Highly recommend this fantastic Riad.
The Riad was ok, we were informed that the terrace
Morocco and Moroccan are wonderful and UNIQUE
our stay was simply fantastic: the hotel is a "bijoux" thanks to its moroccan style and Marrakech is a "A thousand and one night" place thanks to its magical atmosphere and to the very known moroccan hospitality (very nice and welcoming people everywhere you move: THANKS).
Low key but attentive service. Nice rooms, fsomewhat ake ambience. I liked it but its not really 5 stars
The property was absolutely adorable! I loved my room which was La Favorite but unfortunately, due to one specific staff member, my experience was an absolute disaster! I have never been yelled at or threatened by the way the man at the desk did to me. Over a measly amount of money, my life was threatened! Luckily, I will never return to Marrakech but make sure you have ALL charges on paper and SIGNED by the staff member helping you or, just like me, you will be scammed and threatened!
See Marrakesh as a local but beware the mopeds and
Good location in the Medina but takes some finding. Well decorated, comfortable and central.
My fiancé and I stayed here for 6 nights. This place is the most wonderful Riad steps away from Jema El Fna and other attractions. Staff is excellent, much thanks to Abdel and Wafa. Hotel taxi drivers Ismail and Ayoub are outstanding and 100% reliable. Very clean and comfortable, feels like you’re staying at the home of family. Breakfast is great, included meats, breads, and fresh juices. Everyone is there to help and answer questions. Area is very safe 24/7. The terrace is gorgeous for relaxing in the day or evening. Beware of stray cats in Marrakech, (doesn’t affect the hotel). Food is great around the neighborhood. You’re provided with a very useful map by the hotel, it was so thoughtful. Being out in the Médina is crazy and chaotic but this hotel is your calm oasis away from that mess. It truly felt like we made life long friends overseas with the hotel staff. Never have I felt so attached to people that I’ve just met. The hotel staff and general people of Marrakech are kind and genuine. If you’re looking for a trip that’ll make you dig deeper into yourself, then go for it!!!!
Don't think twice about selecting this hotel.
This is an absolutely beautiful riad. Very clean and better than you would ever expect. It is a good location for access to the market.
Excellent Riad, highly recommend
Excellent Riad with friendly helpful staff and great atmosphere. The rooms were amazing with great air conditioning. Breakfast was good and staff were very welcoming and helpful in the breakfast room. They have their own spa which is reasonable. The location is amazing with only a short walk from the riad through some souks to Jemaa el-Fnaa. The manager arranged pickups from the airport and back to the airport ( €5 pp). Highly recommend this riad. Excellent stay
Room setup
Room setup not as charming for a Riyad as the matching
Surprisingly deceptive and a beautiful hotel
We were a little worried at first walking away from the main street and down two small streets to the hotel but as soon as we walked into reception we were blown away. The hotel has a very traditional appearance which has been looked after wonderfully. Even with the traditional surroundings, the hotel is not dated. We were greeted with some tea to cool down whilst the local area was described to us and maps were provided. Breakfast was good each morning with a selection of cooked breakfast, meats, cheeses, fruits, yoghurts and pastries. I wouldn't recommend families with younger children stay in the higher level bedrooms due to the steep and spiral staircases, however, if you had a ground floor bedroom it would be fine. We didn't book a tour guide, we used our maps and our initiative and we didn't get lost during our exploring the main centre and even walking over to Hivernage. Make sure you visit Maison De Le Photographie, Musee De Marrakech, Le Jardin Secret, Palias Bahia, Tombeux Saadiens. Be prepared to haggle, always be polite and you will have an amazing time.
Great hotel near Jemaa el-Fnaa!
Great riad so close to Jemaa el-Fnaa. Only stayed one night, but the staff was very hospitable and have a great breakfast in the morning.
The room was clean and the staff friendly. But my shower handle was broken so couldn't shower without holding the shower head myself. Slight inconvenience but not a deal breaker.
Very helpful staff
It was hard to find, so I would recommend emailing/calling in advance and have them set up an airport pickup. Their cost was comparable to what taxis charge from the airport. Cars in general cannot go far into the medina, so having someone to walk you directly to the door is very helpful. All of the concierges spoke fine English and were happy to help make local calls for reservations, confirming tours, etc. They also quoted us a price ona private car hire we needed to travel to the coast (even though we went with a cheaper option). The only thing is, it's not very handicapped accessible and probably only the modern hotels are. Most riads seem to be 3 floors at least with narrow stone steps. Otherwise, it was quiet, had A.C., and comfortable.
The hotel was right in the heart of the Medina, only a two minute wLk from the main square. It was very clean, staff were welcoming and helpful. The manager was very informative and checked our trips, flights and transfers. The room was good much bigger than expected, the breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold, with a range of breads, cakes and yoghurts to suit all tastes. Wewnjoy d a couple of afternoons on the lovely roof terrace too. We used the spa facilities and had a manicure which was lovely and a good price. The only thing that was a bit eerie was arriving at night as the hotel is down a couple of alleys and for a first time visitor to Marrakech it was a bit dawnting. However, once we got used to it, it was fine. Most of the staff can only speak French so we communicated with the main manager most of the time.
Late night arrival.
I would like to commend Malek of the Riad Palace Princess. I traveled with a group of friend from Tangier to Marrakech and we arrived at 1:00 a.m. I called the Riad and Malek came out to me us and help my friends by calling their Riad to send someone to meet them. He went above and beyond in his efforts and would like him recognized for his outstand customer service.
Amazing
Hotel amazing. Staff really helpful and went out there way.room very clean also.would sure come here again.
Lovely rooms, nice and queit but I wouldnt return
The hotel room was lovely (stayed in a deluxe double room. It was comfortable, quiet , and clean. The hotel itself was also very nice. What let the hotel down was a. the breakfast - not up to the standards of typical hotel of this rating and b. the staff. My boyfriend and I tried to book a message in the hotel spa but it was fully booked. A member fo stafft then recommended the Diamant Spa down the road. This spa was truly awful - it appears to be some type of a brothel operating under the guise of a spa based on our scary experience. For our hotel to have recommended this place is disappointing. We trusted their judgement and unfortunately didnt read any re views before going - had we checked online reviews we would have realised this was not a stuitbale place to go.
Friendly Relaxing Riad
This Riad is brilliant right in the heart of Marrakech easy to get to all the places you would want to see. The staff are excellent nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Mohamed the manager welcome is very warm. The staff are multilingual so language is not an issue and several nationalities stayed while I was there. Do take up the offer of the Riad sorting out your transfer from the airport as it can be hard to find. Fabulous stay thanks very much.
Week in Marrakech
We went as a family of three, all adults and spent a week in Marrakech the first week in September, the weather was lovely. The Riad was just off Jenna el Fna Square quite difficult to find but if you purchase the Riad Shuttle service it was fine. The Riad itself was beautiful and the staff and breakfast service lovely . If you went as a Honeymoon couple the down stairs and first floor rooms were lovely and romantic. However we had a family room up two flights of very narrow twisting stairs, the room was small with a queen bed then off that was another small room with two single beds. The small bathroom was just by first room front door and if you were in the second room and needed the toilet in the night you had to squeeze past the queen bed in the dark which was difficult. We are a middle aged couple and I have problems with my hip, the stairs were a nightmare for me and i struggled with them and was constantly worried i would fall and fracture my hip. If you were a young couple with young children (not babies or children that needed to be carried ) it would have been ok. I think the Riad needs to mention the stairs as that ruined the holiday for me and we couldn't move rooms as all family rooms were like that or other suitable rooms taken already
Expect unexpected fees and poor communication
I booked the hotel based on the booking.com award, must have been an advertisement deal because it was not at all worthy of the title. The location is good, takes time to figure your way in and out and poor signage to arrive at the hotel at first. I arranged a shuttle and there was no mention that it would cost 15 Euros each way for a single person!!!! Also, I arrived around 1:30am at the hotel and I was sat down and immidiately hit with fees, conversation rate and a total I owed at arrival, no greeting tea or cookies like other reviews. So I had to pay for the shuttle going back to the airport ahead of time, as well as hotel fees, etc. No one gave me a map!!! It was just frustrating. The room was ok, had to use a key and it took some time every time to lock/unlock the room and bathroom. The breakfast wasn't at all traditional, this is more like a mini hotel than a riad, I wouldn't recommend it. The decor was mediocre as well.
Great location
Nice and comfortable riad in the heart of Marrakech's Old Town
Central Location
Booked hotel transfer with flight as didnt want to be ripped off by cab driver as 2 female travellers. Also booked camel ride with hotel transfer company. Hotel is in the Medina, you get dropped off & escorted in by hotel porter who I was told is free, I gave 20 dirhams (MAD) as a tip, he said 40, I sternly told him it was free, he scurried off. Lady at check in was extremely helpful with local knowledge / safety tips. Hotel room was adequate for our needs. Shower drain took 45mins to empty, so at night one ended up wading in the others shower water. In the morning one would shower, we'd have breakfast & it'll be clear for the other. Breakfast couldn't be enjoyed as there were wasps covering the cinnamon pastries & other sweet goods which would then fly around the area, either put them in a display unit or cover with a cloth. July 2017 renovations works to new dining room / roof terrace but nothing to interfere with your stay. It's a easy 3 mins walk to Jamaa el Fna, & to find your way home, just note cafe at the entrance & turn left @ red & white shop & your their !!! ALL staff very helpfull
Majestic
Peaceful, safe even if you come home at midnight . Perfect location , easy to remember .
Nice clean facilities, complicated hotel to find
Getting to the hotel is complicated so i used their transport option and paid up front. Then when i left the porter wanted more money and the driver parked quite far from the drop off point at the airport making life difficult then wouldnt letme leave the van as he had a tantrum over payment. He called the hotel and was stamping hism feet and shouting at me. I told him i had paid the hotel but he still kept shouting as i walked off. Be careful you dont get ripped off here.
nice terrace
Neibourhood is a little sketchy but where isn't in the Medina
Beautifully designed Riad
A very comfortable and friendly atmosphere, excellent staff, and location within the Medina made our stay both interesting and enjoyable. Very good facilities, perfect breakfast, and well equipped sun terraces.
Unique hotel. A little scary going down the empty alleyway to get to the entrance. Was a bit low on accommodation features.
Perfect holiday stay
Spotlessly clean, only 2 mins walk from Jamma El Fna square. Well presented, very pleasant and polite staff. Highly recommended.
Riad Palais des Princesses | Home in Marrakech | Travala.com
This place was full of charm and culture. Great location for exploring Old Town Marrakech.
