Hotel conveniently located near Jemaa El Fnaa square and koutoubia mosque. 1 km from Bahia Palace. Has a nice rooftop lounge and dining with excellent views of Marrakech. Staff was friendly. Ask for Ilyas when you arrive and he will offer many good recommendations during your stay. Shayma at the reception was also polite and accommodating. I would stay here again with family.
Wow! What an amazing place! Came here for my 50th birthday with 15 friends and the management and staff were amazing. So friendly and even let my friends DJ on the incredible roof terrace which had views all over Marrakech. Perfectly situated for the main square and shopping. Highly recommend - fun open-minded place - for everyone - regardless of race, gender, sexuality or any nationality. Will def be back!
Location was fantastic! Perfect for families/couples/girls trips. ALOT to do in the area.
The room was nice, the rooftop restaurant and bar were very nice, but the two do not go together very well. We could hear the live DJ on the roof in our room every night. He was very good, but when we go to bed, we want to sleep, not listen to music. This riad would be perfect for someone that wants to stay up late, but if you are interested in early mornings, I would not recommend it. The staff, on the other hand were phenomenal. They were helpful and accommodating.
Very nice building and decor in a great location near Djemaa El Fna however we were misled about the swimming pool. It is clearly marketed as a useable pool but turned out to be decorative only. It is a proper pool with working showers etc so is a policy decision not to allow use. The staff were unhelpful offering contradicting reasons for the change in policy. Eventually a water park trip was offered as an alternative but this wasn't convenient or necessary with a perfectly good pool in the hotel.
Do not book with hotels.com
The property is closed due to covid-19. However hotels.com Have taken my money and are refusing to refund me my money even though the hotel was closed so they were unable to provide me with their service. Utter disgrace. I am a very loyal customer with hotels.com. However I wont be booking with them in the future.
Near the central square.
Nicely decorated hotel with a roof restaurant, great complimentary breakfast. I found the beds a little too firm.
Good location.
Great location. Close and walking distance to the markets and souks, but not so close thag you get all the noise. The place could have been cleaner.
best choice near the square jaama
everything good!
Staff are friendly, location is great.
Great central Riad
A wonderful stay at a great Riad. The staff we wonderful and always willing to help. The Riad was clean and tidy. Air con can be a bit loud but worth it due to the heat.
Really helpful staff who serve guests in one of the nicer places in the area. Would definitely recommend to others.
Lovely riad in a perfect location, Fantastic staff. Really good value. Sky bar is perfect for food, drink and watching the world go by. Only negative is the bar has a DJ from early evening and the music is loud and goes on until midnight. The noise permeates the whole place and getting any sleep before midnight is almost impossible.
Ok centrally located Hotel but definitely not 4*
I would not rate the hotel 4* - basic amenities were not right. No Hot water in shower one day, rooms too noisy, AC not working, knock on the door to make bed so no 'do not distub' sign. Having said that location was really central, staff and reception were helpful and tried to resolve the issues.
The rooms and hotel was lovely, however the only thing I disliked was the electricity issue we had and the outlets. The outlets were loose and almost falling out and every time we’d charge our phones the power would go out. Other than that it was nice, and in a great location.
Mabrouk is a big, old Riad... faded in places but full of character and well maintained. Due to heavy rain our room had a leak so when we arrived we were taken to a charming hotel nearby for 2 nights and upgraded when we returned. Great location near centre of town, but there is therefore noise ! We had s lovely stay :-)
It's a beautiful hotel and staff service was impeccable. It's just that the shelves/ furniture were very dusty. Otherwise, it would've been perfect.
Great location centrally located to major attractions. Located on a side street away from the main square and noise. Upstairs lounge has a great atmosphere and opens late. Great services as well. Good for a late snack or drinks to unwind from your day. Downstairs restaurant is a different story. Staff seem to be always distracted and very slow attending tables.
Good location but careful about your room choice
The location is excellent very close to the main square. But the suite I booked is basically in the restaurant and you is very noisy during breakfast and dinne, apart from having to walk past diners whenever you leave or enter. The room itself is spacious and clean. I checked in with my fiance who is Moroccan. And although she was not staying with me, obviously as per our belief, she came to the room the first 2 days. But on the last day we were told she is not allowed in the room, not even for a few minutes. Although I respect local rules, this should have been said when we checked in as we were clearly a couple, she also was very upset by a personal comment made in earshot of her by a female manager. This was very unprofessional and almost ruined our last day. I personally can only praise the other staff members as they were friendly and helpful. Shame it was spoilt by one individual. I would still recommend the hotel, just not the suite.
Close to the famous square. Authentic Medina feel. Wonderful staff and comfort. Highly recommended.
Great property near the main square. Great staff, very helpful and accommodating, and the building is really beautiful. Plants, archways, beautuful nooks to sit and chat. It has a great roof top restaurant and bar, also small misauc tile pool wuth lots of lounge chairs was a big unexpected plus to chill out between actuvities. The spa is great too. Like an oasis on a lively block with everything you need right there. Two cafes on street level. I will definitely return next time I’m in Marrakech.
Fantastic riad. Great location near the main square. Fantastic rooftop bar as well that makes good cocktails. Only complaint is room that we stayed in was facing the street. On a saturday night, it was really loud with sellers screaming until ~2 am.
This Riad was just amazing , excellent position from the Riad you can go everywhere, really safe area . The staff was really friendly and helpful, I really recommend.
Amazing staff, beautiful property, great location!
The property is truly beautiful and awes inspiring. It felt like a fair tale when wandering floor to floor. The room was spacious, clean, and wonderfully appointed for my stay. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe, informed, and special. The restaurant and bar supplied a great selection of tasty food to appeal to any need. I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience was at the riad!!! I did not want to leave.
Busy hotel on a busy street
I booked a superior double room and was very disappointed with our room. There was a smell and the room was not at all what I expected. It was small and the door was close to the bed it almost hit it. I complained and was moved to a suite which was much nicer. The service was excellent and the spa treatment was amazing. The riad is very close to the Square so was very busy and noisy until all hours of the morning. The size of the riad made it feel more like a hotel than the intimate feel of a small riad - Just depends on what you want!
No room available
Arrived to hotel as planned. They didn't have a room available and sent us away to another hotel. They planned to have us switch back to their hotel - but since my family would be on a tour the next day with an early start - we chose to move to an alternate hotel with rooms available for our entire 4 day stay. Very disappointed that else couldn't stay in the hotel we booked and planned. Staff were nice but didn't have solution for us to stay with them.
Good stay.
We were a family of 4 and were given a large two king bed room on the ground floor. The room is very nicely decorated with beautiful stained glass windows and super high ceilings. Unfortunately, that room is also right next to the hotel restaurant, which meant that as staff setup in the morning and cleaned up at night, one needs to endure the noise that comes along with those activities, not to mention the chatter and noise of guests that decide to eat late. So avoid that ground floor room if you can. The shower also drains excruciatingly slow. Having said that, the location of the riad is perfect. So close to Jamaa el Fna, but not so close that you can hear noise. There's a bakery a few steps away and a corner store nearby for water and munchies. All in all, a four star out of five stay.
Great location to explore the Médina. The staff made wonderful suggestions for places not to miss
nice, not amazing...
This hotel/riad was nice but was under construction/repairs and no was unavailable... still location was amazing, 1 min from the big market and staff was super nice :)
A nice hotel with old town experience at the door
The hotel was pleasent and the staff was very mindful of its customers. Checked in smoothly and swiftly. There was an issue with the room we had but they send the maintenance man pain mentioning it. The problem didn't remedy so the next day we was moved into another room. Used the hammam and massage service in the hotel spa. It was reasonably priced as per the local average prices. I have visited Hammams previously and I have found different countries and spas tend to do the hamman differently, yet all with the same final result. Came out nice and clean and went into the massage. First visit to the massage wasn't as hard or deep as I would have liked it so I dare say I didn't feel much, but for the average person it would have been a pleasent relaxing massage. When I went back the next day for my second session, I mentioned this before the hamman and massage and I have to say, she gave it her all and it was amazing. I felt like a tenderised piece of steak. Overall a very nice place with very nice staff. Also very helpful with anything I asked , And a good guide to how much I should expect to pay for what. Thanks to my hotel reception guy, the one with the glasses, forgot his name, I saved a lot of money on taxis and even the horse and cart. Everyone charges extortionate rates but if you know how much you should pay, you know not to accept ridiculous price offer. Horse and cart was charging people 150-300 in front of us and we only paid 50 dirhams
The Riad although non-descript from the outside it certainly had the wow factor from the inside, located in an excellent central position unfortunately close enough to the largest Mosque to be awoken at 5am by the call to prayer!
Close to the local market
I was disappointed with the room the walls were wet under the air con which made us both sick. we were sick for the second week since the stay in the hotel. Due to the wet wall we had throat irritation and now on antibiotics. I didn't like the entire smell of the hotel it smelled just like an old hospital. The noise in the hotel were too loud which didn't allow us to sleep even properly. The restaurant floors were always cleaned while people were eating during the breakfast time which made us sick and the smell of the cleaning solutions made us loose appetite. This Hotel shouldn't have any stars given. I don't know How it got 4 star. Very Disappointing!!!
Recommend this Riad
Excellent location, good service, safe. A bit difficult to communicate with the staff in english, but I absolutely recommend this Riad.
Everything you could need.
The traditions of old Marrakech are apparent in every detail, expect no cookie cutter chain hotel, this is what travel is all about.
Near main square
Amazing hotel very clean and staff are just so welcoming and polite
Amazing riad in prime location
Superb , very clean, helpful staff, highly recommended X
Great location
Fab location. I cannot express enough how beautiful this riad is. Close to the square. Can be a little noisy at night as rooms overlook restaurant in central courtyard. But hey, after a hard day's bartering and sightseeing, sleep won't be a problem. Staff helpful and friendly especially Hannah on reception.
Would not go back..
Overall not bad little Riad for the money. Bed was very hard and room was a little stuffy due to small outside window. Safe would not work even after exchanging it. Staff were non-exsistant most of the time. Big issue, they demanded a 3euro per night/per person at the end of our stay for "taxes". Outright rip off. We strongly said no money. This lost them our normal room tip because they were rude. There is no such tax, a scam from desk staff early in the morning. Be sure to get price up front for everything.
Amazing trip beautiful Riad
The road was beautiful with its Moroccan decor and elegant touches. staff where friendly and helpful Location second to none.. Everything was a very short stroll away. Breakfast was good. Continental and basic, but keep in mind pork is never on the menu really here so if you don't expect a fry you will be happy with what they serve... Fresh orange juice, homemade yogurt, pastries, omelette tea coffee.... All with a smile. I couldn't stop taking photos of the place I just thought it as beautiful... Felt like a special little oasis....
Fantastic
Couldn't fault it even slightly. Pleasant staff, gorgeous building and comfortable, clean rooms. I could go on but to summarise, everything was perfect and I don't have a bad word to say!
Service mediocre but room smelled bad & was dirty
The room was very small and crammed and had a damp, dirty smell to it. When I first walked into the bathroom, I noticed a bundled up (presumably dirty) towel on the floor, so I assume they did not fully clean the room, or made a mess after it was already cleaned. Then, I saw a gigantic cockroach on the bathroom counter. It was disgusting. Not what you would expect for this price and for the rating it got. As for customer service, there was no one at the reception desk for a while, leaving several guests waiting to check in. Then, when he arrived, he seemed very aloof and was not very friendly.
A very nice, relaxing and pleasant stay
Wonderful stay. Moroccan hospitality at its best. Nice cup of tea to welcome me and everyone was very friendly. The spa was good as was the restaurant. A very nice, relaxing and pleasant stay.
Mixed feelings
Lovely hotel however the room was very dusty. Couldn't stop sneezing everytime we were in our room. Air conditioning was good. Room was cleaned every day. Shower was very nice. Not very sound proof. Great location being right next to jamaa el fanaa. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Great location and comfort
We Loved it we booked it in July it's a great place.
Beautiful Ryad
The ryad itself was stunning, morrocan theme throughout. Beautiful resturant with natural sun light coming through. Amazing terrace perfect for relaxing, catching the sun with mint tea. Very close to jema al fna however downside was it was very noisy outside til 2am most nights from the souks and resturants. The bed was not the most comfortable, quite hard and with the noise didnt get much sleep most nights but still an amazing ryad. You could hear the doors banging early morning and late night from other rooms and if anyone was outside your room you could hear them very clearly, kinda lacked privacy esp been away on a couple holiday. You could hear the staff moving chairs downstairs at 7am onwards, all noises would echo throughout. All the staff were very helpful. It was a shame that there was a lack of irons but wasn't too bad despite this.
great hotel
Hreat hotel with exceptional staff very well looked after with 3 free breakfasts as it was our wedding annivery, also friluit and flowers left in our room, very kind and location is also excellent, great stay and would stay here again
Medina madness!
Room 16 on the front street...it's Not quiet!
Brilliant location. Had issues with our room on first night so they moved us immediately and upgraded us.
Close to Jamaa El Fna square but very noisy
My train got delayed so I got there after midnight but I called ahead and they waited until I arrived. The hotel staff were friendly. As soon as I went into my room, I found that the room was facing a market street which was too noisy and they moved my room to quieter one immediately upon my request. It was quieter but this hotel's location can't avoid loud noise from vendors in the street. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. As you know Riads don't have elevators and it's quite hard to move your luggage. The hotel is only 2mins from Jemma El Fna square so if you like to explore the area, it's in the perfect location.
Excellent location, next door to main square. Lots of shops and restaurants. Nice Hotel and friendly staff.
Booked a superior suite but was given wrong room!
I am giving this hotel a 2* because we were put in the wrong room! we booked a SUPERIOR SUITE which on the description says 2 bedrooms. We checked-in and was given a triple bedroom. We asked the receptionist and she insisted that we booked a regular suite and not a 2 bedroom suite! We showed our booking and the description but she didn't move us to the right room. Was very disappointed. We were very excited to have a big room and hang out in there as we were a party of 7 people with 3 different room bookings. I don't understand how that was misunderstood. The booking clearly stated that we had a superior suite 2 bedroom. I really wanted to give this hotel a 1* because of this. But on the bright side, the riad was beautiful overall and the waiter was very nice and friendly. The receptionist was alright, but didn't know how to handle the situation.
Hotel in the heart of Marrakech
Everything about this hotel was good, from room to breakfast. All facilities in the room were as described and I should have rated it 5 for everything. The location was perfect for the square with restaurants nearby However for me there was one letdown which was the young blond hotel receptionist and her rude manner. ( the older receptionist and the male rec were very nice) She was unhelpful when we needed a WORKING iron and when my husband left some items in the room, she was not co operative. He therefore lost some expensive items. When the electric faulted, she was rude again. If this receptionist was removed, it's a wonderful riad.
Very nice hotel and spa
Very nice hotel and spa. Located very central to main square and markets. Hotel managent very helpful
Nice hotel
Very well situated in the middle of the walking street of Medina, easy to find, close to all attractions, with nice inside and outside restaurant with good food. The disappointment was the room, it has a windows to hallway, and even when it close you can here everybody passing and talking there, but this is apply I think to all riads, the walls and windows has no isolation...
Bog Standard
Riad Mabrouk was average- while it was a beautiful building in an excellent location, it is not for those who like an early night as constant noise from the street continues until 2am. Breakfast was ok- lots of breads, a yogurt and an omelette. Rooms were satisfactory, though the shower wasn't attached to the wall so you had to hold it yourself whilst washing. There was no gym, contrary to what is advertised on the site.
Great stay right next to the Jemaa Sqaure!
This Riad was quite beautiful! The service was kind, they even kept my bags overnight while I went on a Mount Toubkal excursion, the location is great, right next to the main square but with that there is a slight noise issue but that did not bother me. The only noise that did bother me was the sounds of cats fighting early in the morning and it happened a couple of times while I was there, there are a couple of cats that linger in the restaurant area and I woke up to these terrible noises of cats fighting in the courtyard which was worse than the street noise from the crowds outside. Also, when I first arrived there was a dead cockroach on the floor and towels were sprawled messily all over the bathroom as if they had rushed to get the room ready for me. Nonetheless, the breakfast was wonderful and I would recommend this riad to anyone staying in Marrakech.
Overall great experience and great value for a family of 4. The ONLY downside was the local noise which kept us from getting a good night sleep. Once we brought this to their attention, they were nice enough to change our room to quitter side and offered complimentary Hamam (bath middle eastern style).
Great place to stay, great location, great staff.
The Hotel was great. It's a beautiful hotel and it was super clean. Moona and the rest of the staff were fantastic. They helped us book trips to Essaouira and a camel trek to Zagora. They even held our luggage while we were doing an over night camel trek. The rooms were great, the location is amazing with quick and easy access to Djemaa el-Fna. What's really crazy is that you are right on the main square and you it wasn't loud or noisy at all. You go from chaos outside to complete peace inside. It was a great place to stay, the staff was fantastic. They gave us suggestions for places to eat that were all great. They even gave us a run down of what to do and how to get around the town. All in all, should we return to Marrakech, we will stay at Mabrouk again. It's beautiful and clean and everyone was super helpful.
An Oasis of Peace and Calm
The raids main central court is a real showpiece. You are wowed as soon as you see it and wowed again everytime you step into it throughout your stay. With the skylight open, the whole place is bathed in fabulous sunlight. The ground floor has the main restaurant which leads to a bar area (alcohol is served at this Riad). Through the lobby area is the reception and the admin offices. The rooms are then accessed via a staircase from the Rue Bani Marine entrance. Our room 20 was on the top floor near the terrace. The room was just fabulous. Large, spacious with a marvellous double bed, dressing table, side tables and a wardrobe. A safe is provided free of charge. The large bathroom had a large wetroom shower, toilet and sink with hairdryer. Fresh clean towels are provided daily. There is a TV with multitude of channels but sadly not many English speaking. There is also air-conditioning again, free of charge. The rooms are cleaned meretriciously by the cleaning staff who seem to work from early morning to evening. As a matter of fact the whole raid is kept very clean by these army of ladies. As mentioned, fresh towels are provided daily and the bed is made up everyday. The Riad offers a fabulous set breakfast of fresh orange juice, tea/coffee, croissants, cakes, pancakes and what I can only describe as an Indian paratha. There is also an option to have eggs if required. We loved it, so much so, we are returning back in September.
Good location
The hotel is in Excellent Condition provided you are not too sensitive to noise. I really enjoyed the fact that I walk out of my room and I was in the centre of Medina. The rooms are extremely small and the equipment is basic. For example there was nothing to hang my towels on in the bath room. The service was great. We were greeted well and the receptionist gave us useful tips and advice about do's and don'ts
Tastefully decorated and centrally located
Nice Morrocan-ethnic décor, clean and comfy. A lot of good food around, 3 minutes walk from Jemaa Al Fna so can be a bit noisy from people walking by at night. Nice view from the rooftop. A few small issues though - the sink and shower drainage of my unit were half clogged & I can't really work out the 2 remote controls for the tv/decoder - so I can't watch the tv (Funny I never have problem with remote controls in previous hundred hotels)
The riad and stay were great, but when I tried to check out, the combination for the safe no longer worked so someone from the front desk had to help me. Unfortunately, I was then overcharged by about 35% for the stay. When I pointed out the incorrect charge with a printout of the Expedia reservation confirmation, the person at the front desk said that they will credit me for the difference. The original overcharged amount, which I never signed for, has shown up on my credit card but the credit has not so I had to file a dispute with my credit card. Again, the riad is great, and it is also quiet despite being in a central location, but be careful that you don't get overcharged if you stay here.
Very central, excellent service, beautiful room
We had just arrived by a taxi that dropped us off a few blocks away, without luggage (someone took it at airport by accident), and we were feeling stress. We were offered a free upgrade to the nicest suite on arrival. Then our host offered us tea while she walked us through a map of the local area. She recommended an onsite spa special for us, and proceeded to make all arrangements while we had a delicious lunch in the hotel restaurant. She completely turned our day around for us. The riad is very lovely and right at the Djemma El Fna, and central to all sites in the Medina. Great experience & we'd definitely stay there again.
Fantastic for a short trip
Stayed during mid November. Was a pleasant enough stay and would recommend to others. The breakfast was very nice. You have to be very clear about tea if you want english tea (best to say tea au lait) as they will give you mint tea or english tea without the milk! Hotel was in a fantastic location and you can shop and stay out right till then end when things start to close up as you are so close to your hotel. Feels safe too and the hotel is on one of the cleaner streets with lots of small cheap eateries. We were in room 18. The room is exceptionally noisy (I gave it a 3 because of this)and the double glazing does not reduce the noise levels at all. You can hear people walking, talking and coughing in the street below in the middle of the night. (this did not necessarily put me off on a short trip, but longer stays, I think I would be a bit annoyed) Also, shops don't close until about midnight and its very noisy so if you are happy to sleep after that its fine, But an early night is out of the question. My dad slept in a room in the middle of the hotel and it was totally quiet however. Super King Bed and bedding very cosy and nice. No tea facilities in room. I don't think its the done thing in morocco? Hotel decor is very traditional and nice. There are lots of stairs and nooks and crannies and my parents found it difficult to get around in the hotel. Also has a nice roof terrace. Overall a nice stay and I would recommend to others for a short stay.
Traditional Moroccan riad in the heart of the city
The perfect Moroccan riad! This property is located right in the heart of Marrakech, just steps from Jemma Fna square and the souk. The decor is beautifully decorated in traditional style - the sunlight filtering through the stained glass windows reflected on the white walls, creating dazzling eye candy. The woman at reception could not have been more helpful or nice and she spoke great English. We only had one night in Marrakech and this property completely satisfied my itch to stay in an authentic Moroccan riad...my only regret was not having time to utilize the spa. My only complaint would be the noise level...our room overlooked the street, which was great, but loud once we wanted to sleep. I would not hesitate giving this property a 5 star rating.
Great choice.
Interior is superior. The staff is very, very customer centered. The desk people are smart, experienced and really friendly. They made our stay a pleasure. The rooms were attractive. The hotel was located near the sights. I would stay there again.
Great Location for a Short Stay
Hotel has good decor but sadly rooms do not live up to expectation
Perfect location!
The room was basic but perfect for our stay. The hotel was in the heart of the hustle bustle and less than a minute walk from the famous square. The food was lovely and the hotel staff were very helpful. The room has lovely decor...we enjoyed our stay :)
Incredible Riad!
This was my first experience in a Riad. It was absolutely gorgeous. The young lady that checked us in was beautiful and a joy. The place is overwhelming, I'd stay here again in a minute. One block from the center of EVERYTHING! The main market where cobras are moving to flutes playing, shops, outdoor dining of authentic cuisine (check out table #1). Stay here, you won't regret it. I am a fan of Riads (mansions with an interior courtyard) over Dars (mansions without interior courtyards). No need to spend the money for a hotel.
Fantastic service
We had a brilliant stay, the riad location is central, if you don't mind the noise outside. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily with rose petals scattered almost daily. I would recommend this riad to all.
Good for a stopover but with floors
Great base for a quick stop over- a few easy minutes walk to the main market square and right in the hub. Room was lovely- clean and tidy, with a great shower. Reception was really friendly and helpful, we were told breakfast started at 7am, we had a bus to catch so was great for the early start but when we went to the dining room at 7:30 we found both members of staff asleep and the cleaners still mopping the floors? The waitress was grumpy and the food generic if not a little poor in choice. I stayed here again a few days later but that'll be for the next review!!
Fantastic location
The Riad is situated just metres away from the main square where all the action is but once inside you cannot hear any noise. On arrival we were greeted with mint tea and pastries, our luggage was taken up to the room. Clean towels every day and lovely clean rooms. The building is beautiful and staff very welcoming. Whilst breakfast is the same each day it was fine, you can always vary what they offer as you get quite a lot of plates of food.
Central Location
A nice boutique hotel with a great interior design felt like you were staying somewhere different to the usual generic city hotel. It doesn't have many guest rooms so it seemed quite personal. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. The hotel has a front entrance to a bustling street and also a rear entrance to a quieter street. Literally a one minute walk to the main square so is the ideal location to be close to great sights and sounds that the main square has to offer. Although the hotel is on a busy street, this simply adds to the fun atmosphere and by around midnight the street noise seems to disappear altogether allowing a peaceful sleep. The room was a decent size too. There is a good rooftop terrace from where you can get a great view of the city. The breakfast was really good/big so there wasn't a great need for much lunch. There was a security guard at the rear entrance too (not that it seemed necessary buts still good to have). I recommend this hotel and would choose to stay here again if I ever returned to the city.
Beautiful Riad in the Medina
Excellent location. Beautiful building. Very good value.
Excellent
Very well situated traditional morrocan riad, only seconds from the square. Breakfasts are superb, rooms are comfortable, staff are attentive and speak English well. Taxi can be sent to the airport by the riad if you call ahead, this costs 200 dh. Security in the hotel is good, and the safe is free of charge. Bill is payable in dh at the hotel, the price quoted by hotels.com includes all taxes and charges so no nasty surprises.
Great Location
The location of the hotel was fantastic - right inside the walls of old Medina, just walking distance from the Souk and the bustling markets of Marrakech. I do not recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to relax, obviously, because it is right in the middle of all the action and there is loud noise throughout late hours of the night. The hotel staff spoke minimal English, but enough to assist me throughout my stay and offer guidance on my day trips. They also offer various day trip packages and a spa. The food at the hotel was also of very good quality and the ambiance was traditional Moroccan throughout.
Great location
This riad is pretty nice. Best possible location. Had some noise issues though with the restaurant inside it and also the loud music coming from the square. Staff was very friendly
Good standard of Riad, very close to square.
Good breakfasts. Traditional bedrooms and hotel. Lovely roof terrace and views. Hard working and helpful staff. A few things not working in room, but it is Morrocco. Staff asked and were happy to sort anything. Great location for transport links, bus, taxi, horse drawn carriage. Great location for striding out to square, souls, medina, etc But with location comes a whole lot of noise, take ear plugs.
Good Location if you like mass people
Nice Riad, Very helpful and great staff. (they even made reservations for us at restaurants). Nice room but I'm more into modern style. Restaurant service and quality of the food is great. Location is great, just too close to Medina so a lot of noise after 10 am and all the way 'till midnight. Walking distance to eveything you need to see in Marrakech (good to avoid taxis). 15-20 minutes to th airport. Will probably come back with my wife for a couple of days.
Night Club in your Room
The hotel was beautiful, but we stayed in room number 20 which faced the main street. This meant that you could hear music blasting until 3AM in the morning. The windows also vibrate because of the wind. It was only a few minutes walk to the souks and the night market. The staff was nice. The airport ride was about 15 minutes in a taxi. If you don't mind music blaring at night then this is your hotel.
Exceeded expectations.
I decided to book this hotel despite some negative reviews, my rationale was location, wifi availability in rooms (at no extra charge) and gym (treadmill). We stayed in room 1. (this was a room and not one of the suites). Room was a modest size and next to the panoramic restaurant. so expect music / noise. (thankfully, it was not head banging and did stop before we got back to the room on most nights. Initially there was no safe in the room which got me concerned. I raised this at the reception and by the time i walked the two flights of stairs there was an employee carrying a safe into the room. I thought this was something from "faulty towers". However,I felt assured that my concern was dealt with. The safe was large enough to fit all the " I " products. Absolutely brilliant location, the block which is owned by the same company consists of a cafe, cinema, hotel, spa, restaurant and bureau du change is very easy to find, and more importantly everyone knows which will help you find your way back from the mirad of souks when YOU WILL get lost. The hospitality of the receptionists and general staff was over and above the "call of duty". The hotel has two entrances which is brilliant as one will put you in the "strip" to Djemaa el fnaa and the other is a quick "rat run" to the same place. I guess the ultimate question is; Would I go back there? Would I recommend it to my mates. Yes, I would go back. Yes, I have already recommended it to my mates.
Impressive and welcoming
This riad is close to the main square but far enough away that the cacophony is muted. Its easy to find (unlike others) on a pedestrian street. Its when you go inside that it really impresses you, richly decorated and welcoming. Set over several rambling floors with lots of unusual spaces just wandering the hotel was an adventure. There is no lift if mobility is a problem. Room was large and again superbly decorated, bathroom was large with an all-over body shower, more like a car wash with nozzles everywhere! The bathroom did smell a little musty that's why I reduced a point for cleanliness. Most of the rooms face the inner courtyard with the ground floor being a restaurant so there can be some noise late at night. The food there is excellent. The staff are really friendly . The Wi-Fi is free fast and reliable. I would be happy to stay here again.
Great Location and Spotless
We liked this riad. You were literally a minute's walk or less from Jemaa el Fna, the main square, so if you want to be right in the eye of the Marrakech storm this is a good bet. Spotlessly clean also! Downsides were that the double bed was two singles joined and if I visited Marrakech again I would love somewhere with a sun terrace to lie out like many other riads have. Staff were OK, not overly helpful or attentive and food and drink were a little overpriced. Overall a great pick for location and we felt very comfortable there.
Hotel muy bien ubicado y renovado
Riad Mabbrouk, passez votre chemin !!!
Accommodatie was prima, locatie was GEWELDIG!

The hotel was a traditional Riyadh and had reasonable facilities. The staff were great and very welcoming.
