Great location but noisy!

Hotel is very centrally located however downside is the restaurant on the terrace which has very loud music until late evenings plus lots of street noise from outside. Room was ok, but bathroom lacks basic facilities, needs upgraded and is tiny. Great location though as only 3 minutes walk from the square. Staff is good and breakfast is nice and filling, although a little variety would be good rather than same breakfast every day.

I has a great experience staying in this hotel. All people who work all of them are very friendly and nice. Always concerned about giving you a good services. And the hotel is in a very nice area close to the bazaar

This property is inside the medina, near the square, the street is inaccessible by taxi so be prepared to walk with your luggage a good 10 minutes from drop off point. But, you will be nicely greeted by Jesu and served welcome Moroccan mint tea when you arrive. Also walkable to Koutoubia Mosque.

Wonderful time in Marrakech

Our family of five (2 grandparents and 3 grandsons) loved this Riad. The rooms were terrific, the breakfasts were a delight and the service was incomparable. Our transportation was arranged and our two tours were great. We couldn’t have asked for a better time in Marrakech.

The room was spacious and comfortable. It is attached to a restaurant that had music playing until 11pm, with noice not finishing until closer to midnight. Very beautiful restaurant views. Very good, hot breakfast.

Staff is friendly, however they do try to hustle you a bit. Also are a little too flirty for women traveling alone. Pricing for extra amenities (transport, laundry, iron) changes depending on who you talk with or when you talk with them. Bathroom is shared and very public, I recommend making sure you have your own while staying. Not a horrible stay, but will not be returning.

Do go ahead and book this place if you like cockroaches, filthy furniture, leaking taps and theft of belongings! (tried to resolve this all with Expedia first but no resolution hence the review) First time in Marrakech and wow what a lesson this has been in hotels/ riads and what you should do when you're in a country with no phone service and no understanding of what to actually do when things go wrong. No first aid provided at the hotel (unless you count a sterile pad and ice as first aid) after one of us slipped because of their inability to provide any floor covering outside of the 'shower' (the term shower is laughable- it's literally about 9 tiles on the floor right next to the toilet, with a shower hose attached to the wall) area in the en suite rooms. Building works going on for most of our stay that we had to get through to eat breakfast and facilities overall absolutely awful. Pictures are not representative of how this place actually is today unfortunately. Apparently the rooms with shared bathrooms are better but I wouldn't know as I unfortunately booked an en suite room. I will say that the location is good- literally 2 minutes to Jemaa El Fnaa square but aside from that, sorry, nothing positive to add. Avoid at all costs and take your money to a decent establishment where you, your health and your belongings will be safe.

Good little place

Amazing location just off the main square, nice staff and stunning views from breakfast. Rooms were basic but then so was the price Good base if literally planning on sleeping and thats all WiFi was a little patchy but ok in the downstairs rooms, and slow on the terrace for breakfast

Great location situated just next to Jemaa El Fnaa square. Staff were nice and friendly especially Habib and Shareefa in the terrace restaurant. Amazing food and great service on the terrace and best place for shisha in the vicinity of the square and surrounding. Really good music in the evening and nice atmosphere overall. Bedding in rooms could be more comfortable and only 1 plug socket in the room not ideal. Overall 4/5 stars!

Ideal location for the Medina, could do with a little updating as it was a little basic. Staff friendly and roof top restaurant was good.

The hotel is so basic,but so clean.Staffs are all friendly and helpful.They are all very accommodating.Highly recommended if you want somewhere nice to stay to sleep and rest after a longday galavanting.

Perfectly acceptable

Staff were sweethearts, fluent in French and English. Location was perfect as many day tours depart from Cafe de France, a half-block away. Breakfast could be s...l...o...w, which is problematic if you’re supposed to meet a guide @ 8ish a.m., & coffee always came at the END of breakfast, as I was ready to give up & walk out the door half-asleep; WiFi was hit & miss in the room, although reliable in common areas. Absolutely acceptable for the price.

Unforgettable

Hotel El Kennaria with its unique decor, that creates an atmosphere for a traveller wanting to explore the red brick city of Marrakech. The family that consists of the kitchen staff, cleaners, to the reception attendents pull you into their family with advice and kind conversations. The Kennaria has a hidden jewel in its crown, if you are lucky and happen to pass by the old Jewish quaters make sure to look out for Jamal el hanifi, working at The Square Cafe, straight out of Rudyard Kiplings book Kim, Jamal embodies the life of Marakech, a true Marakshi boy brought up in the old town, his charming yet comical American accent is the breeding of years of helping travelers and YouTube. Jamal's unique gift is learning a language effortlessly, adding to his already long list is his joy. His knowledge of the cities hidden wonders are unsurpassable (so ask or you will miss out), once he shakes your hand and leads you to a table you will end up making a true friend, don't lose out on this chance and pass him by. great location, great service, even packed food for us due to our early departure. exceptional breakfast. encountered a problem with noisy guests - complained to hotel - speedily resolved and given a gift

My stay in this hotel was so bad , dirty room, dirty toilet, noise, no parking

Greit sted å være hvis man liker at det er musikk rundt seg hele tiden. De har også en restaurant som stenger ved midnatt, så det var bråk fram til da, med live musikk og kunder som går inn og ut av bygget. Strømmen gikk 3 ganger på de 4 nettene jeg var der, så det var kjipt, men de fikset det nokså fort. Bra, tradisjonell frokost derimot, med takterasse.

Noisy

Very noisy. They have a rooftop restaurant and open kitchen, where guest have to go through the riad. Door and window to the room doesn't help to stop the noise. You can clearly hear when other guest are using their toilet. It was possible to sleep from 23 to 6.30. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean.

Super séjour au Riad el Kenneria !! Accueil chaleureux, personnel au top ! Les chambres sont propres et calme. Petit déjeuner avec thé et jus d’orange frais qu’on peut prendre sur un beau rooftop. Bref j’ai adoré mon séjour et je reviendrai .

Die Zimmer entsprachen überhaupt nicht der Ausschreibung im Internet. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis 70 Euro pro Nacht entspricht nicht den Angaben Vorort. Es hat auch keine 3 Sterne.

Le riad est très appréciable et bien situé. L’équipe est agréables, souriants et très serviables ( en particulier Zouhir ) Le point a amélioré : les murs des chambres et le fenêtres ne sont pas insonorisées en cas de spectacle ou musique ce qui peut empêcher le sommeil.

Non c’è niente che non va riad al top meglio non esiste i ragazzi molto gentili e disponibili per qualsiasi cosa chiedete a yasin E hamza bravissimi ragazzi vi sapranno consigliera, e complimenti a tutti

Può andare per un paio di notti la colazione é ottima la posizione super le camere (n 14 ha il letto ad una piazza e mezza e lo scaldabagno che concede una sola doccia calda, la terrazza é bella lo staff cortese e disponibile

W pokoju uciążliwy zapach stęchlizny z materaca. Tradycyjny Riad, w którym okna są do środka budynku jednak dopływ świeżego powietrza zablokowany folią przeciwdeszczową co powodowało zaduch.

Neun wunderbare Tage

Wir haben uns in diesen Tagen wie Zuhause gefühlt. Alle waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auf das Frühstück haben wir uns täglich gefreut: Oben auf der Terrasse, im hübschen Ambiente mit der zauberhaften Bedienung, die liebenswert um uns bemüht war. Auch das Essen ist wirklich gut zubereitet. Es war in Marrakesch gar nicht so leicht, etwas für unsere europäischen Gaumen zu finden. Hier im Hotel hat es uns da noch am besten geschmeckt. Man darf natürlich nicht die Auswahl erwarten, die wir in Europa haben. awirklich fantastisch ist die Nähe zum großen Platz, auf dem alles stattfindet und in wenigen Schrittenin ist man bereis in den Souks, Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Un poco bordes

Cuando llegamos al hotel nos dieron una habitación en el piso de abajo,que son de inferior categoría y que no aparecen en las fotos. Al día siguiente le pedimos que nos cambiarán de habitación y así lo hicieron después de mucho pelear con ellos, ya que decían que eran superiores a la que habíamos pagado. Al segundo dia Cuándo llegamos por la noche tuvimos una trifulca porque nos querían bajar otra vez a las de abajo. Les dijimos que eso no podía ser ya esa no era lo que habíamos contratado y que no estamos dispuestos a cambiar de habitación todos los días. Al final nos quedamos en la habitación pero eso supuso que fueran muy secos y un poco desagradables con nosotras. Lo que no pueden es colgar fotos del alojamiento y después meterte en las peores. Lo único bueno es la ubicación.

personnel disponible, faisant tout pour satisfaire 1ère chambre sans fenêtre, impossible pour moi de dormir dans une pièce borgne, on nous a trouvé une autre par contre, plus de serviette de toilette à notre arrivée le soir, faut attendre le lendemain !

Idéalement placé

Je rentre de 10 jours passés au riad hotel el kennaria. Rien à dire .chambre très propres , draps changés chaque jour, pas le grand luxe mais simplement fonctionnelles. Placé dans le souk donc idéal. Seul petit bémol la musique le soir sur la terrasse à fond par tous jusqu à plus de minuit ..petit dej très bons,personnel sympa. J y retournerai avec plaisir

Una excelente experiencia.

Un agradable Riad, sencillo pero muy bien ubicado, a cuadra y media de plaza Jenaa El Fna. Muy buena comida, a precios baratos. El desayuno, extraordinario, con productos como miel y confitura de argan y unas omeletes muy buenas. Y, lo más destacable, la atención del personal: afable, oportuna y acogedora. Una excelente experiencia!
